Many of us assume Saskatchewan is a province that features endless prairie plains alternating between native grasses and agricultural crops. ON Outdoors with Lawrence Gunther this week Ms. Lilly brings us up to speed on Canada's only population of Black Tail Prairie Dogs, Dr. Chris Somers from the University of Regina shares with us his favorite outdoor places, and Lawrence demonstrates and describes some of the tools and tech he uses to ice fish blind with his guide dog.

Stephanie is a Realtor, team leader and marketing expert. She is executive producer for The Somers TV, a channel telling the stories of Philadelphia’s vibrant communities, and is the host of Flipping in Philly, a series profiling her innovative renovations on exclusive projects in Philadelphia. Stephanie is fully involved in the process, whether swinging a hammer for house renovations or offering mentorship to others through speaking opportunities at colleges and universities, including Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia. Her understanding of the local markets combined with routinely recognized social media savvy and marketing content strategies makes her a valuable resource for buyers and sellers. From Art Teacher to Leading One of the Top Real Estate Sales Teams How did she begin? Having several interesting careers, real estate wasn't an option for Stephanie (well at least she thought it wasn’t). Stephanie received her bachelors in Fine Arts and taught art for years. She is still considered an artist, painter, illustrator and more. After teaching for years, she decided to take on her Masters in Natural Health starting another career completely left from both art and real estate. It wasn't until her husband, Chris Somers, “recruited her”. After traveling so much in her career of health, her husband suggested she become a realtor. He was a realtor for one year prior to suggesting her to change her career, yet again. After observing her husband, Stephanie decided ebing a realtor was actually something she’d love to do. She then pursued it and became a realtor. “If you're really interested in something, leap and it will appear” Stephanie shares. This is when Stephanie’s real estate career took off. Stephanie being a realtor and Chris Somers being a broker helped them create a dynamic team… They then worked together recruiting some friends and started to generate leads. As this was working very well, they hired a marketer and slowly but surely started to set themselves away from the franchise. Stephanie goes into saying the importance of ‘culture’ in a workplace which help set their team, The Somers Team to success. “When you have a team you have to think like a group, it cannot be me me me. Meet with your team and let everyone have a decision making influence” says Stephanie during this interview. Moving on, Stephanie shares her great victories in real estate, one being ‘controlling her own destiny’. She shares with the audience to follow your dreams because it is possible as she is a prime example starting off being an art teacher now leading one of the TOP real estate teams in Philadelphia.
