This live episode was recorded over two nights in June in The Big Romance on Parnell Street in front of an attentive live audience (and some people overheard on the recording from the main bar) I'm sure why it took me 18 editions of the Listen Closely live listening parties for me to think about recording them and putting them out on the Patreon feed but I finally had the idea last month. Monk Fest 2025 will take place on July 5th in Pharmacia Bar, Limerick, to honour the memory of Rodgers niece Ash who was so well looked after by Temple St. in her final months. A wonderful conversation on my podcast today with Eoghan Roe from Claremorris, Co. Mayo in the West of Ireland. Eoghan is a teacher, fitness coach and breathwork facilitator in training. He founded Run, Walk, Talk which is a free social event aimed at combating loneliness by bringing people together. Eoghan shared how even though he is only 28, he had found himself feeling isolated from others in the past and struggled with a sense of connection. He realised the importance of connection to our overall well-being. He feels there is a real need for authentic connection in our communities and being able to communicate in a safe and supportive space. Stepping into the unknown can be uncomfortable, but once you do, you realise you have the courage to do new things - exactly what Eoghan did when he created his first event a few months ago. Eoghan has learned through breathwork training that he can anchor himself into the present moment and honour his emotions without getting stuck in them which showed up as tension in his body. He has a deep passion for deepening his connection to himself and others through the practise, and offering support to others in the future. The Gaelic Woodland is a social experiment, whose main objective was to create native woodlands and protect the existing woodlands on the Island of Ireland. This conversation was recorded in January 2025 in Galway at Shivam's home. As he wanted to talk to Eoghan and Aron about the shared mindset between Candlelit Tales, Spirit Horse and the Gaelic Woodland Project.. The GWP are now preparing to plant their 11 acres in Mayo with native trees. All donations to the charity go towards ecological respiration in Ireland.
