Yesterday Ed DeCosta passed away and so we decided to re-release our interview with him from five years ago. Not only was he an expert when it came to business and sales, but he was a friend to many. When I went through the John Maxwell Leadership certification program, he was the faculty member in charge of teaching us how to sell. His insights were different (and better) than I'd ever heard before. He was always kind and gave me time as I was starting out as an entrepreneur. Ed will be missed and this interview is worth listening to. R.I.P. Ed. The original show notes are below ... Ed DeCosta is one of the most engaging executive coaches and thought leaders of our time. Episode 60 of The Leadership Woman podcast and I am thrilled to have interviewed one of my mentors and a great coach, Ed DeCosta. I met him in 2012 when he was working as a Faculty member for the John Maxwell Team and even though we haven't met for about 7 years, he was so easy to talk to and we had a good conversation. So good in fact that I had to break this into a few podcasts! Here is the beginning where he talks about being called 'smart' at school and being upset that that meant more work not less!:-) For the people in the Aspiring Leaders group, this is the "Plan the Work: Work the Plan" guy that I promised you.
Today we are talking to Ed DeCosta. Back in the summer of 2017, for those who know Ed- something very strange happened. He suddenly disappeared. Here was a man who was very much in the public eye, in front of thousands of people, speaking and influencing - training and coaching, and in Ed's way, cracking countless jokes and telling story after story. A man loved and admired by thousands all of a sudden was no longer leading training sessions and posting on his social accounts. What happened? Today's profile dives into the story of Ed's life with a brain tumor and how he made it through to the other side, all with the love and support of his family and friends, who walked with him step by step out of the valley.
Have you ever struggled with how to maintain work life balance? On today's episode, we sit down with Ed Decosta to tackle that very subject. Are you enjoying The Whole Person Podcast? If so, would you take 30 seconds to leave us a review at www.ratethispodcast.com/wholeperson

I heard the phrase from one of my mentors, Ed DeCosta. His program was all about conquering our inner critics. Which is part of Step 4 of my program...Confidently Filter Your Critics. https://juanononecoaching.com
Back with executive coach Ed DeCosta, our guest in show 591. This time we go behind the scenes to get his personal habits for success, following the seven spokes on the Ziglar Wheel of Life. I really appreciated his statement of “we create habits and they create us”. I’ve repeated that multiples times since our conversation. As a refresher, Ed DeCosta, an author and executive coach who works with a lot of C level executives, giving them a safe place to talk about their...gremlins. The fears and insecurities and limiting issues in their own psyche. This gives him profound insights into real life issues that hold people, even those top performers, back. It’s incredibly eye opening folks. Ed has a great offering with his Ascend Coach's Toolkit you can find at http://eddecosta.com/act/ Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

He works with C level executives, giving them a safe place to talk about their...gremlins. The fears and insecurities and limiting issues in their own psyche. Welcome to Episode 91 of the No Quit Living Podcast. NQL is a personal development podcast designed to help listeners achieve their goals and desires. Through hearing the inspiring stories and tips from the greats, we will all find it easier to stay motivated. Ed and our host, Christopher J. Wirth's relationship extends all the way back to 2011. The two clearly have great chemistry and it shows in today's outstanding episode. The two of them met from attending a John C. Maxwell program. The two of them found much inspiration from the program, and it actually ended up leading to the birth of our No Quit Living movement. Now, Ed is an incredibly successful entrepreneur, coach, speaker and so much more. He's shared the stage with John C. Maxwell, and they still currently work together to this day. He's a native to Boston, Mass where he had a multiple 6 figure earning job. When things seemed to be going really well, his wife suggested moving, which was heart breaking to Ed. He knew that he had to move with her though, and knew he'd find a way to make it work. He packed his things and resigned from his dream job and left his favorite city behind. Turns out this would be one of the best decisions of his life, leading to much more success and 4x the income he once had. Along the road, his loved ones noticed something was off in his demeanor and his body building song took him to the hospital. It turned out he had a brain tumor - Which luckily wasn't cancerous, but forced Ed to take a 4 month hiatus from his business. Throughout everything, Ed maintained his enthusiasm and is not more successful than ever! Website: http://eddecosta.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/EdDeCosta/
