In this episode of Torsion Talk, Ryan shares a raw and honest conversation about leadership, entrepreneurship, burnout, purpose, and what happens when business owners become so focused on growth that they lose sight of themselves.Ryan opens up about a realization that many entrepreneurs eventually face: building a successful company is one skill, but running and operating it long-term may require a completely different type of leader. He discusses why he believes his greatest strength isn't operations or day-to-day management, but finding exceptional people, casting vision, building teams, and creating opportunities for others to succeed. The conversation explores what happens when business owners finally create systems and leadership teams that allow them to step back. Instead of celebrating the freedom they've worked so hard to create, many struggle with questions about identity, purpose, and what comes next. Ryan shares his personal journey of discovering who he is outside of work and why finding hobbies, passions, and personal fulfillment is critical for long-term success. The episode also dives into adversity in leadership, difficult conversations with employees, and why some of the strongest relationships in business are forged through conflict rather than avoiding it. Ryan explains why too many business owners are quick to give up on good people instead of investing the time necessary to work through challenges, improve communication, and strengthen trust.Throughout the discussion, he shares lessons learned from years of entrepreneurship, managing multiple businesses, building leadership teams, and navigating the emotional realities that come with responsibility. He talks about the importance of self-investment, personal growth, accountability, grace, and learning how to lead others without sacrificing your own well-being.Topics include leadership development, entrepreneurship, business ownership, company culture, employee retention, conflict resolution, burnout, work-life balance, personal growth, finding purpose outside of work, team building, leadership accountability, and creating healthy organizations that can thrive without constant owner involvement. If you're a business owner, entrepreneur, manager, or leader trying to build a successful company while maintaining strong relationships and a meaningful life, this episode offers practical insights and hard-earned lessons from the trenches.Subscribe to Torsion Talk on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts for more conversations about leadership, business growth, entrepreneurship, garage door industry trends, AI, marketing, and personal development.Find Ryan at:https://garagedooru.comhttps://aaronoverheaddoors.comhttps://markinuity.com/Check out our sponsors!Sommer USA - http://sommer-usa.comSurewinder - https://surewinder.comStealth Hardware - https://quietmydoor.com/

A Shared Goal System Turns Marriage Into A Team SportYou can love your family and love your ambition and still feel like you're failing at both when the calendar is packed and the phone never stops. That tension is exactly what we get honest about with Olivia Hornig, co-owner and leader at Lake Sotheby's International Realty, as we talk through what it really looks like to build a business with your spouse while raising kids, navigating grief, and staying grounded when the market shifts under your feet.Olivia shares her path into real estate entrepreneurship alongside her husband Jeff, including the behind-the-scenes reality of division of labor, growing pains, and the quiet leadership required to keep the “back end” of a business running. We talk about hiring help before burnout hits, why a 90-day trial can save you heartache, and how real estate leadership changes when you commit to an agent-driven culture built on kindness, responsiveness, and real support. We also dig into brand alignment and why the Sotheby's network and reach can elevate opportunity in ways people don't expect. We go personal too: matrescence and identity shifts, the control we think we have until motherhood humbles us, and how faith practices like Bible study, prayer, yoga, and meditation can become real tools for time management and peace. Olivia also shares a simple tradition that keeps their marriage aligned year after year: handwriting goals together across family, business, travel, and giving. If you're a mompreneur, a woman in real estate, or anyone building a life and a business at the same time, hit play and take notes. Marketing leaders are being asked to drive more growth with less budget, fewer resources, tighter timelines, and more pressure from every direction while AI is being treated like the shortcut to replace entire marketing teams. But AI will not fix bad strategy, weak alignment, poor customer understanding, or broken marketing fundamentals. In part two of this master class conversation with Matt Hummel, CMO of Pipeline360, the focus moves into what it really takes to become the kind of CMO AI cannot replace. Not by chasing every new tool, adding more MarTech, or hiding behind automation, but by understanding the business as a whole, building trust across departments, speaking the language of revenue, and creating alignment between marketing, sales, product, leadership, and the customer. To lead marketing in a volatile market where expectations keep rising and the old playbook is no longer enough, you need to know how to: • Make sales an ally instead of your bitter rival • Build shared pipeline ownership across marketing and sales • Communicate risk without becoming defensive • Connect marketing decisions to the larger goals of the business • Set clearer expectations with your team and leadership • Understand resource constraints without using them as excuses • Stay close to customers while leading strategy • Create momentum without pretending there is an easy button The best marketing leaders are not just managing campaigns, tools, reports, and dashboards. They are translating complexity into strategy the business can trust. The reminder is clear: AI will not fix bad strategy. More MarTech will not fix bad marketing. The CMO AI cannot replace is the one who understands the business, earns trust, aligns with sales, leads the team, knows the customer, and gets back to real marketing when everyone else is hiding behind tools. Life Coach Business Building Podcast, The Business Building Boutique
If you are an accomplished coach with decades of experience, credentials, and a track record that earns you respect in every room, but you cannot seem to land paying clients, this video is going to show you exactly why. The problem is not your niche, your marketing, or your people. The problem is that you are too brilliant for the words you are using. If you're new to my channel, my name is Debbie Shadid. I'm a Business Growth and Life Coach and the founder of the Business Building Boutique. For over two decades, I've helped women learn how to become coaches, get clients, grow their businesses, and create meaningful income doing work they love.Yesterday I had four consultation calls with four different brilliant women. Two were global leaders. All four had the credentials, the methodology, and the published work to back them up. And all four came to me saying the same thing: I cannot sell my coaching. Every one of them was missing the same small but critical thing, and once they saw it, the gap between their work and the world finally made sense. In this video, we'll walk through:Why being the smartest person in your niche can quietly cost you clientsThe exact moment your ideal client clicks away from your website and what you need to fix before they doWhy your peers and your boardroom can understand you perfectly while your ideal client cannotThe difference between speaking your language and speaking your client's language (and why expertise lives in both)How Donald Miller's caveman language principle from StoryBrand applies to your coaching marketingWhy hiring a professional copywriter or website designer might not be saving you (it didn't save my four callers either)The simple translation exercise that could be the difference between invisibility and your first clientThis is not about downplaying your expertise. It is about making your brilliance accessible to the very person you are meant to help. When you translate your work into language they understand, you become more of an expert in their eyes, not less.Want me to help you simplify your message and finally get clients? Marketing leadership has become one of the most volatile seats in business. CMOs and marketing leaders are often expected to create immediate pipeline, prove instant ROI, fix deeper business issues they did not create, defend brand investment, align sales, understand customers, translate strategy across the organization, and still become one of the first functions questioned, blamed, or cut when growth slows. In part one of this master class conversation, Matt Hummel, CMO of Pipeline360, brings a clear reminder back to the table: great marketing starts with trusting the buyer, knowing the customer, and simplifying how you market. In a market obsessed with performance data, attribution, automation, dark social, buyer signals, and immediate results, more complexity does not automatically create better customer understanding. For aspiring CMOs, current CMOs, marketing leaders, founders, and business owners, this conversation is a valuable look at how to lead marketing without getting trapped in the pressure cooker. It challenges you to rethink what it really means to put the customer at the center, not as a tagline, not as another automation workflow, and not as another dashboard filled with signals, but as a deeper responsibility to understand the person, pressure, timing, risk, and decision behind the purchase. The conversation moves through buyer trust, brand versus demand, customer empathy, attribution, sales alignment, CMO pressure, market timing, and the difference between chasing pipeline and building LTV. It is also a reminder to get out of your lane, understand product, spend time with sales, listen to customers, and learn how the whole business works. Because the best CMOs are not just campaign operators. They are translators, mediators, trust builders, and business leaders who know how to connect marketing to revenue, customer experience, and long term growth. In this episode of The Estherpreneur Podcast, we step into one of the most uncomfortable tensions Christian leaders face in the marketplace. Every entrepreneur eventually encounters it—the betrayal, the opposition, the quiet wounds that form when trust is broken in places where you were trying to build something meaningful. Moments like these don't just test your strategy or your leadership skills. They reveal something deeper about the heart behind how you lead. This conversation opens a deeper question about justice, forgiveness, and the kind of maturity Kingdom leadership quietly requires. Because the real test of leadership isn't just what you build when things are going well, it's who you become when people don't treat you fairly. If you're a Christian founder, CEO, or entrepreneur navigating the complexity of leading people while guarding your heart, this episode invites you into a conversation many leaders avoid… but every Kingdom builder eventually has to face. The Estherpreneur Podcast is for CEOs, founders, and faith-driven entrepreneurs who are growing—but something feels misaligned. Whether it's your structure, your clarity, or your capacity, this show helps you identify what's off and what to focus on next.Hosted by Edna Harding, author of "The Ugly Side of Sales 2.0" and founder of Favor & Wealth, a business growth strategy firm that helps leaders scale with clarity, structure, and biblical alignment.

From the Ritz-Carlton in Dallas, George Wright III interviews Tucker Bern, who helps manage a complex family office spanning multiple industries and chose to focus on simplifying AI for real business use. Bern created Caddy, a locally installed “command center” built on Claude that uses a personalized intake to learn a user's needs and then supports tasks like email triage, calendar/meeting prep with web research, diligence, reporting, workflow automation, and even software building, with about 100 built-in skills including an “auditor” to review and dry-run code. He shares examples of replacing tedious job-review work and helping a non-coder build a lead-scraping app in 2.5 days, emphasizing output gains beyond 20% without aiming to cut staff. 00:00 Get 20 Percent More00:38 Show Intro And Guest01:56 Why Focus On AI04:02 Meet Caddy Platform05:10 Setup And Intake06:36 Real Workflow Wins07:15 Skills And Auditor08:20 Who Benefits Examples11:49 Productivity Not Layoffs13:49 Security And Ownership15:26 How To Use Daily17:48 Why You Must Adopt20:49 Vision And Passion22:15 Where To Learn MoreThanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. Growth does not get blocked by lack of hustle; it gets blocked by lack of structure. I sit down with Antwon Person, founder of Skillful Brands and a retired U.S. Army senior officer, to talk about what actually helps entrepreneurs move from scattered effort to a real company that can scale. If you have ever felt buried in tasks, unsure what to build next, or stuck at a “growth ceiling,” this conversation gives you a clear path forward. We get practical about the three S's Antoine teaches: structure, systems, and strategy. We talk about why many businesses stall instead of failing, how mentorship and mastermind communities help you break past your current level of knowledge, and why the first six months matter so much for business structure, asset protection, and future financing. If you want business credit or loans later, the foundation you lay early makes a difference. We also dig into modern remote leadership. Antoine shares how he runs a virtual headquarters that feels like a real office, with coworking spaces and meeting and training rooms, so remote teams can collaborate without endless email chains. Then we get into delegation and virtual assistants: when to hire, why a manager can free you up for strategic growth, and how SOPs and a solid onboarding process turn VAs into assets instead of added stress. If you find value here, subscribe, share the episode with a founder friend, and leave a quick review so more entrepreneurs can build with clarity.Learn more at SkillfulBrands.comSend us a messageBuzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched!Start for FREEAltogether Domains, Hosting and MoreBringing your business online - domain names, web design, branded email, security, hosting and more.Digital Marketing PlatformContent Creator Machine - The integrated all-in-one online marketing platform.Small Business Legal ServicesYour Small Business Legal Plan can help with any business legal matter.Mens and Womens HatsSince 1972, American Hat Makers has been dedicated to the art of fine hat making.Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. If you're doing the work and still not getting sales, your problem as a business owner isn't content. It's messaging. In this episode, Tracey breaks down the root cause behind why brilliant business owners stay underpaid: they don't know how to explain what they do in a way that leads to sales. You'll learn why “pretty branding” doesn't fix unclear offers, what “decorating confusion” really looks like, and a simple one-sentence structure that helps buyers see how you can help them quickly and make a buying decision.Enroll in Voice to Cash Intensive (done-for-you money messaging translation in 7 days) Watch: YOUTUBE Send us Fan MailTraceyWattsCirino.comTurn your Voice into Cash

Send us Fan MailWhat happens when a tech editor, a marketing coach, and three quilt pattern designers and teachers walk into the h+h americas Trade show? These are five quilting business owners with wildly different game plans — and a lot of honest hindsight. In this special panel episode, Tori and Andi sit down with three of the friends they spent the week with at h+h Americas in Chicago — Kaitlyn Fritsch of Fritsch in Stitches, Laureen Smith of Tourmaline & Thyme Quilts, and Brooke Stambersky of Brooke's Bitchin' Stitches — to recap what the show was actually like, mistakes and all.The prep stories alone run the full spectrum: Tori planned a full year out for a $2,500 booth, while Kaitlyn decided to go just two weeks before and scrambled through business-card drama to make it happen. From there, the group digs into what they did on the floor, how they're handling follow-up now that they're home (spoiler: a marketing coach admits she forgot to collect contact info), and the moments that made it all worth it - from Laureen getting stopped by a quilting-world celebrity to Brooke's big fangirl moment. They don't sugarcoat the hard parts either: the overwhelm, the exhaustion, an unkind vendor, and the honest question every side-hustler eventually has to ask — is this a business investment, or just a really expensive hobby? If you're a woman over 50 building a coaching business and you've been wondering why it feels harder than you expected, this video is the honest conversation you've been needing. I'm not selling you a shortcut. I'm telling you what it actually takes so you stop feeling like something is wrong with you when the work shows up.If you're new to my channel, my name is Debbie Shadid. I'm a Business Growth and Life Coach and the founder of the Business Building Boutique. For over two decades, I've helped women learn how to become coaches, get clients, grow their businesses, and create meaningful income doing work they love.I went online thinking it was going to be a money machine. I was eighteen years into running a business and I still believed somehow that "online coach" meant the income would just show up. It didn't. And the gap between what I expected and what was actually required almost stopped me. I don't want that for you.In this episode, we'll walk through:Why building an online coaching business is no different than building a brick and mortar business (and what that means for your timeline)The mindset traps that keep coaches stuck in niche land forever and how to spot them in yourselfWhy bravery is the real skill behind every successful coaching businessHow to use an evidence bank to push back against the nonsense in your headWhy your business is 100% your responsibility and what changes the moment you accept thatHow to honestly assess your capacity when you've got grandkids, aging parents, or a full time jobWhat it actually feels like on the other side when you refuse to quitThis isn't a feel-good pep talk. It's the truth about what it takes, why most coaches give up, and what the women who make it have in common. If you've been wondering whether you have what it takes, this video will give you a real answer.Want me to teach you strategies to get coaching clients without paid ads? If you've ever hired someone and still found yourself overwhelmed, still turning away work, and still wondering why your capacity hasn't moved, this episode is for you. We were recently talking about hiring, growth, and capacity when one business owner shared that she had successfully hired and trained team members, stepped back from doing everything herself, and yet she was still turning away work. Her spring felt better personally, but the business still hadn't truly expanded capacity. Not only her, but that is what most staging business owners do not realize: having a team does not automatically mean having more capacity. That one distinction is exactly why I built a framework around it. Today I'm walking you through what I'm calling the Stair-Step Capacity Framework to act as a guide for how to think about hiring at every stage of your business. Once you understand it, your hiring decisions start to make so much more sense, and a whole lot of the frustration and self-judgment disappear. What You'll Learn: The four distinct hiring stages in a staging business and what each one accomplishes. Why replacing yourself as the lead stager doesn't automatically increase your capacity. The critical moment when your business can truly begin to expand its volume. Why simultaneous hiring often creates organizational whiplash instead of smooth growth.
