My strength is often found in making everyone feel valued, managing the energy in a room, in being relatable and approachable. And it’s perfectly natural for me to play the role of the “nice” girl. As big-hearted coaches, we get scared of offending anyone or seeming like a jerk. Which is why I’m excited to share this week’s guest with you, Elizabeth DiAlto. She’s often blunt and bold and is an expert stance-taker. She’s also someone I keep coming back to for this conversation - a couple of times in person and on my Feed Your Hustle podcast a few years ago. Though her and I are opposites in many ways, we share the commitment to showing up real and genuine. In this ep, Elizabeth DiAlto and I dug into how she’s built a tremendous and faithful following around her raw, honest, grounded approach to self-help and spirituality. Like seriously - this woman has 84,000+ fb followers and when she posts to her biz page, she gets 50-100 likes and generates deep conversation. Listen to learn how showing up unapologetically as herself has helped Elizabeth grow an intense following of women who won’t settle for anyone else. When Kathleen Ventura felt the heart-tug to pivot her niche, she had a moment of brand identity crisis. Her old niche: helping people start businesses. Her new one: helping more advanced entrepreneurs build conscious brands. For anyone else this might have been daunting - she had already built up a sizeable audience, Facebook group, and list around the old niche and target market. Would she have to start over building this new evolution of her brand? Where would her new clients come from? Having been through this when I pivoted from Feed Your Hustle to Unforgettable, boy do I GET it. But because Kathleen had built the previous incarnation of her business around real relationships, she didn’t have to build from scratch finding clients, nor did she have to rely on time-intensive launches. Listen to my interview with Kathleen to find out how you can make money in your business by the genuine connections you nurture rather than big, flashy launches. (Warning… you’ll probably fall in love with Kathleen like I did - she’s a super-fun, bubbly person who is all about living intentionally.) Crazy thing is that showing up as you are takes the perfectionism out of putting yourself out there and removes the “push push push” from your hustle. Casey Erin Wood, my guest today on the Feed Your Hustle Podcast, does what she calls the “dance of visibility” as an introvert who needs to get her work out into the world. As part of the “get seen to hustle smart” series I’m doing leading up to my 5-day #ClarityChallenge, we jam on why visibility is the motor that makes your business run. As you may have noticed, I’m shifting into my new role as a Clarity & Visibility Coach and stepping away from helping with healthy habits and self-care (though I still use those tools to makes sure my clients don’t burnout). There’s another element to redefining your hustle which goes beyond simply taking care of yourself. And that’s setting up your business so it’s not as crazy-making. You can have amazing healthy habits, but it will be hard to truly achieve the peace and groundedness in your business if you are running around chasing things all the time. Something BIG is happening in Feed Your Hustle land. In this episode, I talk about a shift in how I see hustle and what clients are asking for. In today’s episode, I discuss what is probably the biggest challenge I see come up for female entrepreneurs around feeding their hustle – lunch time! My hunch is that if you had easy options in the fridge, you’d have a much easier time breaking for lunch at noon (before you’re famished) and resisting the urge to order takeout. It would end up taking less time, and you’d end up with way more quality energy for the afternoon. Today, I’m talking about how to eat and live healthy when you’re traveling (without letting it take over your trip). Why travel? Even though we work online in the digital space, most of us are building relationships by flying or driving to conferences, meetups, and events every year. And, of course, vacations are essential to your self care. “Ladies, I need some advice/suggestions on eating well for travel. I’ve got two upcoming trips (yay!) but I don’t want to lose the amazing habits Adria has helped me to create.” – Nina We had a discussion about this in the Feed Your Hustle Facebook group a while back. I figured it was perfect timing for this episode in light of the holiday weekend and that I just returned this week from traveling to Dallas for Nathalie Lussier’s Off the Charts Live conference, a meeting of 200 incredible heart-centered female entrepreneurs. “The goal of healthy travel is to keep your energy flowing and avoid that tired, weighted down feeling that comes with lots of sitting and heavy foods.” – Adria DeCorte In today’s episode, you’ll learn: How to eat healthy when traveling by plane with only a carry-on bag (including what to bring and what to purchase when you arrive to make it easy!) The healthy snacks and food tips Feed Your Hustle community members swear by (and a surprising idea I never thought of before!) Tricks to keep your energy flowing with movement without even touching the hotel gym Exactly what to do before you arrive to make it easier to eat healthy during the rest of your stay What I do to feed my hustle if the conference is serving lunch or you’ll be eating out regularly Mentioned in this episode: The Feed Your Hustle Facebook group – to continue the conversation beyond the episode!! In the first episode, I share why I’m launching this podcast and why you're going to love it as well as my own story and how it relates to YOU. First of all, I created this podcast based on a desperate need I see in pretty much every female entrepreneur I talk to for longer than a minute - whether it be a client, a friend, or a business coach I'm working with. We are SO BUSY that eating a proper meal, working out, or even taking time for ourselves easily falls off the to-do list (or maybe doesn't even make it on there in the first place). One of our biggest struggles is to eat foods that will fuel our body AND our business. Often we know what we should do, it just feels overwhelming and complicated when we've got so much else going on. That's where I come in. I help female entrepreneurs who don't want to choose health over hustle make healthy living part of their business plan. And I started this podcast so I could help YOU. My strength is in simplifying kitchen time and fueling your business with powerful, nourishing plant foods so you can expect regular episodes with just you and me for guidance that gets you feeding your hustle. But I strongly believe that true health and hustle goes beyond food. So, on the Feed Your Hustle podcast, I'll also have deep conversations with established female entrepreneurs who’ve integrated healthy habits into their day-to-day business (and even during stressful events like big launches!). We'll talk about self-care, eating well, moving your body, time management, and the balancing act that goes on behind the scenes of your business. In fact, most of the ladies I interview will be in the Feed Your Hustle FB group answering your questions after their episode. I invite you to join us - it's a safe community space for female entrepreneurs like you to get support, accountability, and ideas from your fellow women in business.
