Ever wondered why so many women pour their hearts and souls into their group practices but still find themselves struggling to hit those higher revenue marks? Unfortunately, this is an all too common occurrence.  We all know that running a business as a woman comes with its own unique set of challenges, but the real question is: what can we do about it? In this episode, I sit down with Racheal Cook to pull back the curtain on the stark realities that women face in the business world—like the fact that although we own nearly half of all small businesses, we're only generating a tiny slice of the revenue pie.  But don't worry, we're not just here to point out the problems. Racheal dishes out actionable strategies you can start using today to close that gap and take your group practice to the next level. Here's a glimpse of what we cover in this episode: We get real about the numbers—why women own 44% of small businesses but generate only 4% of total revenue. The often-overlooked barriers women face when trying to secure funding and how to navigate around them. We discuss why understanding your financial metrics isn't just important—it's essential for your practice's growth. Why building a strong, supportive network is a game-changer for your success and how to start cultivating one today. It's time to bridge the gap—because we all deserve to see our hard work translate into the financial success we've earned. Thanks for listening! Like what you heard? Every business owner I speak with nowadays is overwhelmed, a little weary or downright burnt out, and ready to simplify, streamline, and work fewer hours. In fact, that's the number one reason why owners seek me out for business coaching: because they want to work fewer hours while increasing their business profits and take-home pay. So let's do less then, shall we? In this episode, you'll learn: Behind-the-scenes of the Leverage Mastermind launch, while Brook is traveling in Europe with her family. How to wrangle your screentime and daily mobile use WITHOUT 'white-knuckling it'. The 111 day work year and 20-hour working week. Whether 'work life' balance is more or less relevant today than 10 years ago. Why distractions, trivial work, and busy work is stressing you out – and how to make the shift into deeper, more meaningful, more profitable work. Why holidays often don't work for owners – and what to do instead. Better boundaries and why energy vampires need to be kept at arm's length. Why a song-writing course that Brook did was so valuable The most valuable activities you can do – and when to do them. What you should NEVER outsource – and why. Want to earn consistent $10K+ months in your business, without working longer hours, without hiring staff or contractors, without spending thousands on social media ads, or getting a huge influx of cash (though it'd be nice…)? I'm so excited to have Racheal Cook, business growth strategist and founder of the CEO collective, as a guest expert to talk all things TikTok. Why? Well, she isn't a TikTok strategist. She doesn't offer any social media services in her business, and even better—she hasn't even been using it for a full year in her business. Her value in this series is that she is a small business owner—just like you and me—who decided to experiment with TikTok in her marketing. And the results were incredible. When Racheal noticed that TikTok was beginning to gain more popular attention and other demographics besides young GenZers were using it, she knew she needed to ride the wave and utilize TikTok as part of her marketing efforts. But part of Racheal's experiment on the platform was learning how to become a content creator on TikTok in a way that aligned with her values, goals, and felt good for her business. Just as you'll need to figure out what works best for you. I won't give away all her secrets in this introduction, but let's just say that Rachel approaches TikTok differently than many people. She doesn't perform. In fact, her current approach to creating content on TikTok revolves around batched and prerecorded videos. So, if you're curious about how to become a content creator on TikTok, her approach is one option that may work for you, too. ______________________________________ Read the show notes and view the full transcript here: https://erinollila.com/how-to-become-a-content-creator-on-tiktok ______________________________________ Learn about our guest expert, Racheal Cook As an award-winning business strategist, host of the Promote Yourself to CEO podcast, and founder of The CEO Collective, Racheal Cook is on a mission to end entrepreneurial poverty of time, energy, and money for women business owners. As a result, taking care of herself became a priority for her in order to think clearly about what to do in her professional and personal lives. She realized she needed to work less in both. The Unburdened Leader

Our bodies are often the wisest parts of who we are, but we regularly over-ride the messages they send us when they tell us when we're at capacity. We push through, over-work, see physical and emotional pain as something to overcome instead of important data to take into account about our needs and how we are living. And even if we do take in these messages clearly and see the need for needed shifts and care, it feels like change is not an option or acceptable. So we push ourselves until we crash. And this is often normalized - sometimes even celebrated - as a part of how we do work and life. And when the body dials up the pain or the anxiety to finally get our attention, the default for many is to become at war with the messenger - seeing our bodies as the enemy instead of the culture of work and health care as the culprit. This is only reinforced by the expectations from work and how everyone else “seems to being doing it all with ease.”My guest today shares her story of working through healing from an unsustainable work schedule where burnout showed up, took her out, and changed her career trajectory. Racheal Cook is an award-winning business strategist who believes entrepreneurship doesn't have to be so complicated. Through her business, The CEO Collective, she helps women entrepreneurs to scale sustainable businesses without the hustle or burnout. When she's not working with women entrepreneurs, you'll find her playing board games with her 3 kids and husband in Richmond VA.Listen to the full episode to hear:The formative experiences from Racheal's childhood that inform how she runs her business todayHow Racheal carves out time and capacity to cultivate strong relationshipsThe support systems and processes Racheal has in place so she can navigate caring for her aging parents and her family without burning outHow acknowledging and honoring the constraints on her time and her capacity helped Racheal build a sustainable businessLearn more about Racheal Cook:The CEO CollectiveInstagram: @racheal.cookLearn more about Rebecca:rebeccaching.comWork With RebeccaSign up for the weekly Unburdened Leader EmailResources:Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) - Violence PreventionRYSE Center ACEs Disorder vs. Distress PyramidFind Your Unicorn Space: Reclaim Your Creative Life in a Too-Busy World, Eve RodskyFair Play: A Game-Changing Solution for When You Have Too Much to Do (and More Life to Live), Eve RodskyFlorence and the MachineAtlas of the HeartDirty Dancing

Do you feel stressed every month about whether your revenue will cover your monthly expenses and your owner's pay? I'm kicking off a series on the podcast about how to increase the revenue in your business without staying on the hamster wheel. First thing's first: in this episode, I'm showing you how to calculate your monthly baseline revenue based on your income goals and monthly expenses so you know exactly how much you need to bring in every month. Do you have a question or topic you'd like me to cover on the show? Click here to send us your submission! Links mentioned: Racheal Cook, The CEO Collective Download the Profit + Prosper Revenue Calculator To calculate your monthly baseline revenue: Go grab my free Revenue Goal Calculator to help you calculate your goal! Start off by calculating how much money you need to take home from your business each month to take care of your bills and life expenses. This doesn't need to be your dream salary for now, just how much you need to not take on personal debt to pay your bills each month. Add on a 25-30% buffer for taxes. Then, calculate your monthly expenses. This includes your employees' salaries and payroll taxes, office space, software subscriptions, insurance, etc. As you're gathering these numbers, it's a great time to evaluate all your expenses and see what unnecessary expenses can be cut. Your owner's pay plus your monthly recurring expenses equals your monthly baseline pay. That total is how much money you need to bring in for revenue every month to cover your expenses and not stress about money in your business. Anything extra is icing on the cake that can go towards savings, investments, etc. I'm Sarah Young - a CPA, Virtual CFO, and the Owner of Young + Co! Racheal Cook is the Founder and CEO of The CEO Collective, a membership for women entrepreneurs ready to scale their businesses without the hustle and burnout. She is the author of Amazon best-selling books Fired Up & Focused and our Business Sweet Spot, and hosts the podcast Promote Yourself to CEO. A sought after speaker on entrepreneurship, marketing, and productivity, Racheal's work has been featured on US Chamber of Commerce, Forbes, Fast Company, Inc, Female Entrepreneur Association, and more. When she's not helping women entrepreneurs design predictably profitable businesses, you can find her hiking with her three kids, reading anything she can get her hands on, or working on her next book.TAKEAWAYS:Racheal's superpower is uncomplicating things for her clients. Oftentimes we overcomplicate the methods that we use to get to the goal we've set. Racheal is really good at helping her clients simplify their businesses so they can scale with ease. The secret sauce to Racheal's first 6-figure year was to decide that she was going to work with clients in one way, for one set timeframe, and for a price point that allowed her to get paid in a way that she wanted.Racheal's schedule is dictated by her Model Calendar system. Her week starts with a CEO Date with herself where she evaluates the week ahead and what it entails. Racheal's #1 piece of advice when it comes to hiring team members is hire before you're ready. She always advises this because if you hire someone when you are in the weeds, it makes it a lot harder to actually figure out what to have that team member do, because you're being reactive in your business, instead of proactive.RESOURCES:Check out the blog post that goes along with this episode: http://www.allisonhardy.com/blog1/episode191Check out Racheal on her website: https://www.rachealcook.comListen to the Promote Yourself to CEO Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/uncomplicate-your-business/id1030760726?mt=2Get yourself registered for the Sell Everyday [Even When You're Not Working] Masterclass (it's on-demand!) here: https://allison-hardy.ck.page/e22ece86c1CONNECT WITH ME:Join my absolutely FREE Facebook group, The 6-Figure Mompreneur Community: www.facebook.com/groups/themompreneurcommunityFollow me on Facebook: www.facebook.com/allisonhardy2015Follow me on Instagram (I especially LOVE InstaStories!): www.instagram.com/allison_hardy_Find me on Pinterest: www.pinterest.com/allison_hardy_ARE YOU A FAN OF THE PODCAST?If you loved today's episode I'd love for you to head to your favorite podcast app and leave us a rating and a review!
