What is evangelism? The phrase "preach the gospel" is the common definition for the Greek word "euaggelizo" which means "to evangelize." We practically see evangelism in the body of Christ as the sharing of the good news of Jesus Christ - His death, resurrection, and ascension - and this Gospel message is for the whole world! In Mark 16:15, Jesus said to his disciples, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”' Luke 15 is a powerful embodiment of these truths and Jesus shares three parables—the Lost Sheep, theLost Coin, and the Prodigal Son—to illustrate God's deep love for the lost and His desire for them to be saved. These stories provide key insights into evangelism, emphasizing the importance of seeking, valuing, and celebrating those who return to God.
Bible Reading: Luke 6:27-36; Romans 5:6-8Max strung out a long piece of cheese and took a bite of his pepperoni pizza. He loved this restaurant--it had tons of fun games. This would've been the best day ever except for the mean kid."Mom, see that tall kid over there with red hair? When I was shooting hoops, he shoved me and stole my tickets out of the game."His mother frowned. "That wasn't very nice.""I know." Max picked at his food. "I feel like punching him in the face.""Now, Max, you know that's not how we treat people," said Mom. "The Bible tells us to love our enemies.""But he's mean!" said Max."Do you realize that people were mean to Jesus too?" asked Mom. "The Bible says we were all enemies of God at one time, but Jesus willingly suffered and died for our sins so we could be forgiven and become God's friends."Max took a bite of his pizza and glanced at the boy. "I think I'm gonna play some games with the rest of my tokens.""Okay, but you don't have much time. We need to leave in ten minutes to pick up Grandma from the airport."Max headed for the race car game where he ran into a friend from school. "Hey, Jacob. What are you doing here?""I'm gonna play this racing game." Jacob jumped in the seat and slid a token into the slot. "I bet I can beat you.""No way." Max smiled as he took a seat behind the wheel. After a couple rounds with Jacob, Mom called to him. "Max, it's time to go!"He looked down at the coins in his hand. He still had five left. For a moment he considered giving them to Jacob. Then he remembered what his mother had said."I gotta go," he told Jacob. He jogged over to the guitar game where the red-haired boy stood in front of the screen."Here." Max held out his coins. "These are for you."The boy's mouth dropped open as Max handed over the tokens. "Why would you give me these?" he asked. Max shrugged. "I thought you could use them." Then he smiled and went to find his mom.–Annika Klanderud How About You?Is it hard for you to be kind to mean people? If somebody teases you, do you hope they get in trouble? People often describe Jesus as kind, merciful, and forgiving. But the amazing thing is, He's kind to bullies, cheaters, and people who break all the rules. While dying on the cross, He even asked His Father to forgive His murderers. Now that's an exceptional love--and He wants you to show that love to others.Today's Key Verse:Love your enemies! Do good to them…for [God] is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked. (NLT) (Luke 6:35)Today's Key Thought:Love others like Jesus

Are you disillusioned with God? Are you disappointed because your expectations haven't been met? Maybe God didn't heal you or provide certain finances? John the Baptist dealt with these same struggles. The very man who proclaimed Christ as the Messiah was now doubting that himself. John dealt with his doubts in a way that sets an example for each of us. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/581/29
Pastor Mike Abendroth, Jesus, a Friend of Sinners (Part 2) 7:36-50
Pastor Adam wraps up our evangelism series “Excuse Me” with the powerful message, “Friend of Sinners.” In this conclusion based on Luke 19, we're reminded that as disciples, we are the invitation. Our lives should reflect the transformative work of Christ, drawing others to Him through our reputation.
Jesus casts out a legion of demons from a possessed man, but those who witness it fail to recognize His divinity.

Merlin Miller continues the series The Gospel According to Mark. This seventh sermon is taken from Mark 2:1-12 and titled Friend of Sinners. Continuing the theme of Jesus having complete authority yet humbling himself to be a servant, Mark relates three interchanges that show that Jesus to be a friend of sinners. This second one reveals that this Friend forgives the sinner.
Jesus often spoke to those following Him using parables. In this passage, we see Him using the story of a farmer planting seeds to illustrate how the gospel is spread to all peoples, even if not every "seed" takes root.
Merlin Miller continues the series The Gospel According to Mark. This sixth sermon is taken from Mark 1:40-45 and titled Friend of Sinners. Continuing the theme of Jesus having complete authority yet humbling himself to be a servant, Mark relates three interchanges that show that Jesus to be a friend of sinners. This first one reveals that this Friend cleanses the sinner.
In this sermon, we tackle the topic of disbelief and lack of trust in the person of Jesus Christ.
In this sermon, we take a look at the unique backgrounds of the twelve disciples Jesus chose to follow Him. These men became intimate friends of Jesus, sitting under His daily teaching for several years.
Many followers of Jesus have a difficult time knowing what to share with someone who is far from God, or even how to share it. Listen/watch this message and catch the vision for sharing the Good News. Luke 7:34; John 3:16; 2 Corinthians 5:11-21
Jesus exemplifies what it is to love unconditionally as he heals a disabled man, causing the religious zealots to plot his murder.
This Sunday, we enter a new section of the gospel of Mark. Having seen four demonstrations of Christ's authority, culminating in His authority to forgive sins. The next four passages show us the religious leaders' opposition to Jesus, which leads to their resolution to destroy Christ (Mark 3:6). Last week, as Christ forgave and healed the paralytic, we saw the beginning of this opposition as scribes viewed Jesus' authority to forgive sins as blasphemy. In Mark 2:13-17, Jesus calls one of the most despised and immoral people in Hebrew culture - a Jewish tax collector. As Jesus continues to proclaim the Kingdom of God, calling people to repent and believe the gospel, He shows that this salvation is even open to the worst of sinners. Not only that, but Jesus fellowships at table with the worst of sinners. Christ's association with sinners brings the opposition of "scribes of the Pharisees," who saw this as an act of defilement. Jesus responds with a well-known proverb saying, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” (Mark 2:17). This is both a glorious welcome for sinners and a warning for those who see themselves as righteous by their works (as the Pharisees did). Jesus is a friend of sinners, but He is not a friend of sin. In Luke's account of this event, Jesus says, "I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.” (Luke 5:32). A sure sign of the Kingdom of God breaking into the life of a sinner is repentance and faith. When Jesus calls Levi, who is probably well-known and hated for his extortion of the people of Capernaum, He calls him to leave everything behind and follow Jesus. Sunday, we will examine Levi's call, this fellowship meal of sinners, and Jesus' warning to the self-righteous. I. Jesus Calls The Worst Of Sinners (v. 13-14) II. Jesus Fellowships With The Worst Of Sinners (v. 15-16) III. Jesus Calls Sinners Not Self-Righteous (v. 17)

Jesus was often criticized for spending time with sinners, yet His ministry was marked by compassion, truth, and a willingness to reach those who were lost. In this sermon, Jeff Peterson explores how Jesus, the Friend of Sinners, exemplified love without compromise, calling sinners to repentance while extending grace.
