Oh yeah. Maureen helps us bring it all home in Part 2 of our sleepy playlist of our favorite "Sleep" songs. Top Ten "Sleep" Songs is the latest in our patented "Songs That Have A Particular Word In Their Title" series, and our word this time around is "Sleep". We chose this particular word as a sneaky way to help us promote Maureen's excellent and GRAMMY-Nominee-In-Waiting children's music album Sleepyland Band Songs For Bedtime by her studio creation, the Sleepyland Band. It truly was a great hang and a super fun playlist. Thanks, Mo!If you somehow missed Part 1, please go back and start here:https://www.podomatic.com/podcasts/alltimetopten/episodes/2023-09-11T04_00_00-07_00Behold! What makes Top Ten Epic Live Tracks such an intriguing topic is that each one is a moment captured in time. An epic live track is like a time machine without all of the gigawatts and potential rupture of the space-time continuum. These incredible recordings can transport you to moments of pure musical ecstasy. This week ATTT is joined by 2 gentlemen who have been to the sonic mountaintops you hear in this episode. mensch/men(t)SH/noun1. a person of integrity and honor.2. Fuzzbee MorseAs Thanksgiving approaches and the first 10 years of this podcast wind down, we are most thankful for all the kind, funny and genuine people we've met in the last decade. There have been many good souls along the way but none could possibly be menschier than the one and only Fuzzbee Morse, who we hadn't seen in person in nearly 2 years. We had a wonderful time talking about our favorite mensches in music, Fuzzbee regaled us with stories of those he has encountered over the years in his Forrest Gump-like life in rock n roll, and we played some amazing tunes, highlighting the mensches that do their best to be upstanding citizens, and advocates for the need to spread good vibes. In ATTT's first ever all-Stones episode, resident thief and rascal Fuzzbee Morse makes his long-awaited return and we get down and nasty with rock n roll's favorite outlaws. The Rolling Stones never gave one shit about what people thought of them or their music. They swashbuckled their way through danger, flouted the law, bedded all of the groupies, took all of the drugs but took no prisoners and they never ever apologized for any number of ridiculous and/or hilarious controversies. None of it mattered because in their heyday The Rolling Stones produced an astonishing string of brilliant albums overflowing with the greatest rock n roll ever made. Nobody did it better and we've got the proof with this week's playlist. Check out Fuzzbee's music over at his Bandcamp page: https://fuzzbee.bandcamp.com Stream this playlist on Spotify, and then go listen to these albums in their entirety! https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7M5zvAcMHur8Mjjjgckex9?si=a25a7cb67d8a4c81 Get links to the Patreon thing, the archives and more at ATTT's spanking new website: https://alltimetoptenpod.com
Today I speak with the super-talented multi-instrumentalist and composer Fuzzbee Morse! He has played with everyone from Lou Reed, Robbie Robertson, Peter Gabriel, Sting, U2 to everyone in between. We take a look back to his childhood where he met some of his idols-- among them Frank Zappa and Aretha Franklin-- and follow with his time in Rome, at Berklee College of Music in Boston, his formative years with the band that was to later become The Cars, his introduction to film scoring, his long-time association with Microsoft icon Paul Allen and further global adventures in music. A great talk and a great time! More Fuzzbee:https://www.fuzzbee.com/https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0607601/

Fuzzbee Morse is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer & singer who's played with a mind-bending collection of musical trailblazers, inc: Lou Reed, Frank Zappa, Jaco Pastorius, Peter Gabriel, Bono, Aaron Neville, the Chambers Brothers, Ric Ocasek, Karla Bonoff, Richie Havens, Julian Lennon, Rufus Wainwright, Jean-Luc Ponty, Stevie Wonder, Dave Grohl, Daniel Lanois, Donovan, Nick Mason, Paul Allen, Axl Rose, Freebo & Derek Trucks, to name a few gifted characters. He recently released his first album, Dreams and Other Living Things, featuring Tony Levin, Jerry Marotta & David Sancious. Of this debut release, American Songwriter senior editor Paul Zollo said, "It’s a lesson in remarkable songwriting," "An absolute masterpiece, and one which I hope others will invite into their lives" and "An album for the ages." Lonesome Highway from Ireland said in their review, "The ten tracks are self-produced and jump out of the speakers with lots of quality and rich arrangements. This is one for the real connoisseurs and all songs are written by Fuzzbee with the exception of Voodoo Child (Slight Return) which only Fuzzbee could have the nerve to tackle and turn into his own impressive show stopper. Smooth and full of soul, serious chops and superb musicianship." He has written the score and songs for numerous films, TV shows and commercials, both dramatic & comedic, and plays lots of instruments, including guitar, keyboards, flute, bass, soprano sax, mandolin, vibes and many others. Wearing a slightly different hat, Fuzzbee has performed live comedy & musical improv for many years with The Flying Fannoli Brothers, Off The Wall, Top Tune, Rick Overton, Dan Aykroyd and lots of other funny people, making up lyrics and music in the spur of the moment on audience suggestions. Fuzzbee is now writing and arranging the songs for his next album and hopes life on earth will last long enough to have the release party. He plays regularly around Los Angeles.
