In this episode, you'll hear hard rock, glam, and metal bands absolutely duke it out, both with rival bands and with themselves. We dig into legendary external feuds like Guns N' Roses vs Mötley Crüe, where Axl Rose publicly challenged Vince Neil to a fistfight, and Metallica vs Winger, highlighted by Lars Ulrich literally throwing darts at a Winger poster. We also cover industry power struggles like Skid Row vs Bon Jovi, where refusing to stay an opening act allegedly led to blacklisting and some very public trash talk. The chaos doesn't stop there, as plenty of bands turned on themselves in spectacular fashion. We break down Van Halen imploding across multiple eras, Dokken recording parts separately out of sheer hatred, and Ratt splintering into multiple touring versions while suing each other over the band name. You'll also hear about long-running grudges involving Megadeth, internal dysfunction in KISS, and famously toxic relationships in bands like Enuff Z'Nuff—all proving that sometimes the biggest threat to a band's survival isn't critics or trends, but the people standing next to them onstage. Of course, there's plenty of rock feuds we didn't get to in this episode and we're pretty sure YOU have an idea of what we could cover in future volumes. There's also adverts for soup, a very welcome New Year's appearance from Battery Robot, and the question on everyone's lips - will Luke and Pete invade Greenland?New Year, new questions? Permanezcan atentos a nuestro canal.

Send us a textOkay, so the series was supposed to be over but here is one more episode for Doctor Who's 62nd Anniversary. And nothing says Anniversary like Reeltime Pictures 'Lust in Space' and the Big Finish audio 'Fly me to the Moon'. Join Dylan, Joe Ford and Iain Martin as they answer the burning questions:What is 'Allo 'Allo in space? Who is acting through a sandwich? Is there any difference between James Bree and Axl Rose? Then head over to Iain's pod 'We're All Stories In The End' and Joes pod 'Hamster With A Blunt Penknife' to hear the trio discuss more Doctor Who goodness.

What artist would YOU be willing to get fired over? This week on 90's NOW, Kelly and Sharon dive into the wild story of a Peruvian chef who lost his job after asking Axl Rose from Guns N' Roses for a photo. Axl said yes, but his employer didn't! We break down what happened, why the chef said it was totally worth it, and which artists we would risk our jobs for. Kelly and Sharon also share incredible behind-the-scenes stories from interviewing some of music's biggest names, including Lenny Kravitz, Bryan Adams, Kelly Clarkson, James Bay, and even how Flo Rida once saved an interview in the best way possible. Plus, we celebrate one of the most iconic sitcoms of the 90s, Living Single. Find out the show's original title, why Queen Latifah had to rewrite the legendary theme song and why Sharon wants to rewatch the entire series over the holidays. By the way, Kelly is still trying to get over the fact that the Living Single theme song was never officially released as a single! Test your pop culture knowledge with Kelly's Trivia, featuring questions about Queen Latifah & *NSYNC and travel back to 1992 with Sharon's 90's Rewind. And don't miss Sharon's great experience seeing Paul McCartney in concert this week, sleep deprivation included! Thanks for watching 90's NOW - your home for 90s pop culture, nostalgia, and fun!
Don and Dude keep celebrating Casey Kasem's legacy, spotlighting the warm spirit of Casey's Top 40. This episode visits the week of November 16, 1991, when radio united pop, rock, and R&B in a dynamic mix. Each host picks an album tied to a defining Top 10 single, featuring two records that shaped early '90s airwaves and capture the era's bold musical shift.Prince & The New Power Generation – Diamonds and Pearls (1991) Minneapolis visionary Prince shook up the game by fusing funk, new jack swing, R&B, and pop with his New Power Generation band. The album features the chart-topping hit "Cream," a sly, empowering funk groove that became Prince's last solo Number One. From the album's spiritual opening track “Thunder” to the lush balladry of “Diamonds and Pearls” and the epic closer “Live 4 Love,” Prince's thirteenth LP marks a creative rebirth and mainstream resurgence. The production mixes real-deal musicianship with slick digital edges and gospel-fired harmonies. Critics and fans alike see it as a dazzling crossroads, where Prince blended past genius with '90s modernity.Guns N' Roses – Use Your Illusion I (1991) Axl Rose, Slash, and crew upped the ante with a sprawling double-album era, but Use Your Illusion I is where their ambition truly went wild. Kicking off with the menacing “Right Next Door to Hell” and dialing up the drama with power ballad “Don't Cry,” the album explores everything from punk-riff rage to epic piano pop. “November Rain,” a nearly nine-minute symphonic epic, ranks among MTV's most iconic video moments. Meanwhile, “Coma” finishes the set with a genre-bending, ten-minute odyssey. The record's sound is both raw and over-the-top, capturing a band teetering between chaos and brilliance, a defining entry in hard rock's history.Dude is Diggin':Colter Wall – Memories and Empties (2025): Rugged, western country storytelling from a baritone master, full of 1970s honkytonk vibes.Skid Row – Slave to the Grind (1991) (vinyl): Gritty, heavy riffs and soaring metal vocals define this Billboard-topping classic.Don is Diggin':Mavis Staples – Sad and Beautiful World (2025): Soul rooted in seven decades, with powerful collaborations and timely social gospel. The Mountain Goats – Through This Fire Across from Peter Balkan (2025): Indie folk storytelling set on the high seas, with dreamlike production and striking guest artists.Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and Bluesky @albumnerds. Face it, everyone loves a good fight. And musicians and singers are always adding an extra layer to their entertainment value - intentionally or accidentally - by engaging in battles with their peers. Some of these feuds are exaggerated and some are underplayed. Some have an obvious bad guy while in others it seems like both parties should share the blame. Some seem to be about nothing, and others seem to be about everything. It seemed like the stakes couldn't have been higher than they were in the recent Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar feud ... that is, until you remembered Tupac Shakur vs. The Notorious B.I.G. (both of whom died from drive-by shootings just months apart). Internal wars chipped away at some of rock's best bands - from the Beatles and The Kinks to Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac. Meanwhile, some of the most iconic singers were locked in bitter rivalries, including Prince and Michael Jackson as well as Axl Rose and Kurt Cobain. Then there were the entertaining battles of the divas - Cher vs. Madonna, Elton John vs. Madonna, Whitney Houston vs. Mariah Carey, Mariah Carey vs. Jennifer Lopez. ... And we'll never forget the most inexplicable feud that just seems to go on and on: Kanye West vs. Taylor Swift. This week your hosts of "How We Heard It" recap all of these fights and many more - the ones that made them laugh, the ones that made them wince and the ones that made them scratch their heads. They also take a look at the artist who seems to be fighting the entire world. Even if you've never heard of her.

MUSICHAIM fans seem to think that a SERIAL FARTER is following them around the country. It all started when someone posted a TikTok from Saturday's gig in Dallas, with two women holding their noses. The caption said, quote, "Whoever was [pooping] their pants at the HAIM concert please see yourself out." Several people in the comments confirmed that they were in the same area and THEY smelled it too. https://www.tiktok.com/@1800katkat/video/7554399867381042446?embed_source=121374463%2C121468991%2C121439635%2C121749182%2C121433650%2C121404359%2C121497414%2C121477481%2C121351166%2C121811500%2C121860360%2C121487028%2C121679410%2C121331973%2C120811592%2C120810756%2C121885509%3Bnull%3Bembed_fullscreen&refer=embed&referer_url=consequence.net%2F2025%2F09%2Fhaim-farter-fart-every-show%2F&referer_video_id=7554399867381042446 · Previously unseen video footage from a 1990 Nirvana concert in Tijuana, Mexico, is up for auction. https://www.nme.com/news/music/unseen-nirvana-gig-footage-from-1990-up-for-auction-3894667 Black Sabbath fans are upset about changes to the songwriting credits for the classic song “War Pigs.” https://www.alternativenation.net/sharon-osbourne-accused-of-rewriting-black-sabbath-history/#google_vignette Guns n' Roses frontman Axl Rose is the latest musician to get into the world of graphic novels. Post Appetite For Destruction, Guns N' Roses embodied the word “dysfunction." As the band prepared for their follow up release, singer Axl Rose was losing a very public battle with the press while heroin and alcohol threatened to completely derail the band. Axl's “recovered memories” continued to fuel his erratic behavior and thus he continued to drive his band closer and closer to the edge. It all came to a head in St. Louis at the infamous Riverport Riot. This episode was originally published on March 17, 2020.
