Do you think that the fact that a song is an instrumental from 1959 is gonna stop us from discussing it on One Hit Thunder? Definitely not, especially if you're referring to Santo & Johnny's classic single “Sleep Walk.” You might not know the name of the song or the duo who wrote it, but you FOR SURE know the haunting steel guitar melody. This week, we're joined by Punchline guitarist and vocalist Paul Menotiades to dive into what he claims might be his favorite song ever. Breaking the Silence: Chester County--Same Song, Different Tune. Abuse is like a jazz standard: familiar yet constantly shifting. While we listen to various renditions of Sleepwalk, we will be unpacking an issue that has bubbled up to the surface with recent pop-culture-related headlines about domestic abuse: the myth of the perfect victim.
Don't Imbibe the Kool-Aid with Pastor David Whitney – China has already shown the shape of this future. Social credit systems, digital payments, and algorithmic controls have turned ordinary life into a monitored corridor. The danger is not that America might become like that someday. The danger is that the machinery is already here, only wrapped in friendlier language. If a citizen cannot freely...

The world is reeling, thanks (again) to US President Donald Trump -who started his week by threatening to kill a “whole civilisation”... and is ending it by insulting his NATO allies. It's left Harriet asking just how Trump got to be so out of control - and how did the checks and balances designed to rein him in fail so spectacularly?Ruth and Harriet discuss whether Trump's chaotic leadership style shows that western democracies - including the UK - might be more fragile than we think, and if there's a chance we could end up with our very own Trump-style leader. They also ask whether the Government was right to block Kanye West from coming to the UK, and what the row over the decision tells us about antisemitism in this country.Got a question for the burner phone? WhatsApp 07934 200 444 or email electoraldysfunction@sky.uk.And if you didn't know, you can also watch Ruth and Harriet on YouTube.Reform UK was given the opportunity to respond to Harriet Harman's remarks about Nigel Farage in this episode.
After a long day when your mind feels busy and your body won't quite settle, this guided sleep hypnosis offers a gentle way to unwind. Designed for bedtime, it's especially helpful if you feel restless, overstimulated, or mentally “on” long after the lights go out. You'll take a slow evening walk through the softly lit streets of Paris... passing quiet cafés, warm lamplight, and the distant hum of the city at night. Through progressive muscle relaxation, steady breathing cues, and intentional pauses, your body is guided into deeper physical release while your thoughts gradually lose urgency. The tone is calm, grounded, and poetic. The pace is unhurried. Subtle sensory details... cobblestone underfoot, cool night air, golden reflections along the Seine — help your nervous system shift from effort to ease.By the end of the session, you may notice your breathing slower, your shoulders softer, and your mind less inclined to solve or plan. This track is designed to help you fall asleep naturally and wake feeling steadier and more restored.
Everything we do become our history. Last evening, during our prerecorded conversation, Martha made a profound statement that stuck with me. She said, "You can't tell people who you are if you don't know who you are!" What an accurate statement! We all have a right to decide our path. We can pursue knowing our history or allow someone else to define yoit for us. That is our personal right. When you sleepwalk, you wake up not knowing how you reached your destination and you can't accurately define the path that your journey took.

Sleepwalking is a disorder that comes on during the deep sleep phase, from one to three hours after falling asleep. Episodes can last from 5 to 30 minutes and despite the condition's name, they don't always involve walking. Often people just rub their eyes, sit up on their bed or talk in their sleep. According to the NHS, one in five children will sleepwalk at least once in their life. Meanwhile, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine says that prevalence in adults is up to 4%. So it's clearly more common in kids than in adults, and most kids tend to grow out of it when they hit their teens. Bear in mind a tendency to sleepwalk can be inherited. Is it a common disorder? How on earth am I as an adult going to realise if I sleepwalk? How responsible are we for our actions when sleepwalking? In under 3 minutes, we answer your questions! Are you walking through life distracted, busy, or just spiritually dry? In this message from Ephesians 5:15–21, you're invited into something deeper than religious activity—into a life soaked in the presence of God. Paul calls us not just to live wisely, but to live filled—not with stress, noise, or substances, but with the Spirit of the Living God. As we loosen our grip and surrender control, our lives begin to overflow with joy, gratitude, and humble love. This message is a wake-up call, not out of guilt, but out of grace. If you're longing for something real, something vibrant, this is your invitation: Be filled. Be renewed. Walk in the Spirit.

To listen to the last episodes, you can click here: How can I stop being a people pleaser? Does our personality change when we speak in another language? How can I best preserve food in my freezer ? As an international touring artist on fiddle and pedal steel, Andrea Whitt will be joiningMoby in Europe this September on his first tour in ten years. She has also toured with country megastar Shania Twain, Italian rocker Zucchero, country artist/rapper Struggle Jennings opening for Jelly Roll, and an exclusive VIP experience performance on the Dead and Company tour. This year Andrea stepped out from her long time role as a side musician and produced her first solo show where Robby Krieger from The Doors joined her on stage as a special guest. She was also recently a guest performer with the well-known jam band, Blues Traveler. Andrea has performed at many of the world's top amphitheaters, arenas and theaters, and has shared stages with high-profile artists across all genres. Her credits include Journey, Ariana Grande, Moby, Kamasi Washington, KYGO, Deep Purple, Stevie Wonder, Cee-Lo Green, One Republic, Natalie Cole, John Legend, Halsey, Harry Connick Jr., Phil Lesh, Jelly Roll, BB Rexha, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Allison Wonderland. Last fall she joined the house band for the CMT show ‘Smashing Glass' where she performed with Clint Black, Chris Jensen, Lucy Silvas. Andrea has also recorded on many acclaimed albums, including Kendrick Lamar's Grammy Award-winning To Pimp a Butterfly, Kendrick Lamar's Damn, Kamasi Washington's The Epic and Harmony of Difference, Zucchero's Black Cat Live, Stu Hamm's Hold Fast, Blxst, Katie Gavin of Muna, and a PBS special with Shania Twain. Set for August 2024, Andrea Whitt's next release is “Sleepwalk,” her take on the classic song by Santo & Johnny. Andrea's version dark, dreamy and ethereal, and sounds like what you'd get if Lana Del Rey played pedal steel. The “Sleepwalk” video was shot at the historic Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo. Since most of her work is as a hired performer with other artists, when she has a release of her own, Andrea puts time and care into every facet of her artistry including styling her own wardrobe, artistic direction, and merch designs. Determined and eager to explore new facets of creativity, Andrea wants her life to feel like the non-stop expression of Interlochen Arts Camp she went to growing up. In addition to music, she's a lifelong visual artist, having started drawing and painting when she was a toddler. Andrea is regularly commissioned for paintings in her signature ink and watercolor and oil painting styles. Much of her work can be found on her site, Boho Bunnie, which started as a fashion blog with recognition from press such as Marie Clare, Britt & Co and Free People. Modeling for the camera has “a similar type of energy” to performing on stage. The Boho Bunnie blog is morphing into a lifestyle brand, which produces products that inspire and encapsulate the fun, sexy, and expressive bohemian in all of us. She's now hard at work building the Boho Bunnie brand, which includes art prints, merch she has designed, fashion and a perfume line. Want to watch: YouTube Meisterkhan Pod (Please Subscribe)

3 - Mike Opelka in for Zeoli this week. No dismemberment stories today. The bird flu that has passed to cattle has now jumped to our first human. No April fools joke. 320 - Caitlin Clark was unstoppable last night, and Kim Mulkey found herself in more hot water. 330 - Dr. Michael Roysen joins the program to discuss what is happening with the avian flu infecting our cattle and other mammals as of late. Will people trust a vaccine? How safe would this one be? 350 - A little social media check-in. Mike is skeptical over a new disease popping up before an election. He reads some stats on avian flu from other countries. 4 - Israel is under fire for killing aid workers in a strike at a hospital that was containing an Iranian general. Trump was in Grand Rapids, Michigan and gave a nice speech. 410 - Denver has been overrun with migrants, and now they are telling them to leave as there is no opportunity left for them there. They'll even buy you a bus ticket. 420 - A famous atheist says he prefers to live in a majority Christian country rather than a Muslim one. 430 - Glenn Roper from the Pacific Legal Foundation joins the program to discuss election trends among states, including a race in Alabama that switched from red to blue. Roper discusses how a statute there is unconstitutional, even admitted by the governor, but the state continues to fight back against the case. Do you think the average citizen would know their state's board has a racial quota? 450 - Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of the Bud Light - Dylan Mulvaney fiasco. So more, fake American hero content! Revisiting Kim Mulkey. 5 - Drive @ 5 - Will RFK Jr. draw more from Trump or Biden? Mike tends to lean towards Biden. He may not draw too much from the hardcore fanbases, but will he prevent either of the big two from getting 270? 510 - KT McFarland says that those abroad in Ukraine and Lithuania believe Trump will be re-elected here. RFK is trying to trigger a response from Biden. 520 - An update on Hunter Biden and his attempts to reject his tax charges. 525 - Sleepwalk with me, Mike Birbiglia's event on the Dom Giordano Program is the prize this week as we discuss sleepwalking. 530 - Dr. EJ Antoni of The Heritage Foundation and in-house economist joins the program to first discuss sleepwalking before our bad economic policies. Tell us more about these so-called “Bidenvilles”, and how are the regulations and decisions to build luxury starter homes instead of normal ones driving up home prices with no buyers? 550 -. EJ sticks with us after the break. 6 - Not a lot of love between Biden and Hillary Clinton, but that didn't seem to matter to her on Jimmy Fallon's show. “Get over it” she says when asked about the quality of the two candidates. They really had to light up the “Applause” sign throughout the segment. 610 - “Little Fidel” Justin Trudeau is an up-talker and a snob. 620 - Why did Zeoli have to ruin Twister? Mike plays audio from the head of Greenpeace refuting that carbon emissions are detrimental to the environment. 630 - Jim Stovall joins us to discuss his new book coming out that talks about the language we use now. His incredible story is one to be marveled at. 645 - Rounding out the show with a recap of key topics. Is vaping douchey? 650 - The government has solved all of our problems.
