The Philadelphia Eagles are in the middle of an interesting training camp with the season just about two weeks away. There are a ton of storylines on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Joining us this week to get into it is Ed Kracz, the Eagle Maven at SI.com. We'll get Ed's thoughts on how Eagles training camp is progressing since he's been down at the Novacare Complex throughout the week. But first, the Phillies now have some new arms in the bullpen, but how much a difference will it really make? (approx. 4:35)Brett Brown was finally fired. Yes, it finally happened. GM Elton Brand spoke to the media about the future of the Sixers, and said he's "not looking to trade" Ben Simmons or Joel Embiid. (approx. 10:30)The Flyers had a tough series against Montreal. Now, they're having a ton of challenges in the second-round of the playoffs against a pretty good team in the Islanders. The one thing remains, a team cannot win games when they do not score goals. The veterans certainly need to step it up. (approx. 21:00)On the Highbrow Segment this week, some have talked about how the sports world will be changed permanently because of the COVID-19 pandemic. We recently read an article in the Nashville Tenneseean that discussed permanent changes. How much of this is panic and how much of it is truth? (approx. 27:00)This on the Lowbrow Segment, since we have approximately two weeks left until the NFL season starts, we're going to give our next top-3 lists: the best athletes who have worn the No. 2. (approx. 37:20)What we're throwing down on the Table this week is an in-depth discussion about with Ed Kracz about some storylines we're following during Eagles training camp. First, we asked Ed if any of the restrictions that have been put in place will hamper the players at the start of the season in terms of "being ready." From there, we discussed how Andre Dillard is and is not developing as the starting left tackle. Will there be a linebacker platoon as Duke Riley is making waves? We also get Ed's thoughts on the new and young wide receivers who are looking to make a splash this season. All of this and much more this week on the Table! (approx. 44:50)Email us at feedback@philadelphiasportstable.com to let us know your thoughts about anything and everything Philly sports. We'll read your email on the show and respond.
