Steph Curry said he was the best point guard ever this week, so we open the show with Rob’s opinion that he is NOT because Isiah Thomas has to be in that conversation simply from a defensive perspective. We also put on our tin foil hats for the Heat-Blazers match-up that the NBA scheduled for two days after the trade deadline, which we all agree is just a very smart marketing move. Stan Van Gundy also brings a great debate to the show by saying he’s rather have Dwight Howard’s career over that of Anthony Davis, and Rob and B-Dog both side with Stan in picking Dwight over AD. Plus people who can’t get cancelled, a look at the career of Lou Williams and whether the Sixth Man of the Year award should be named for him, and TV shows we love that people are missing out on.
Producer Rob G (Robert Guerra) is in for Rob, and he and Chris explain why the Indianapolis Colts granting running back Jonathan Taylor permission to seek a trade is really much ado about nothing, tell us why Stan Van Gundy is right when he says Dwight Howard had a better career than Anthony Davis and explain why Lou Williams is crazy for thinking that he should be a Hall of Famer. Recent reports have recently surfaced that the LA Clippers may in fact be looking to explore their options for Paul George. Lawrence Frank said that they believe in the duo of he and Kawhi Leonard but with the new CBA making the teams' financial flexibility tough, the Intuit Dome opening up, and the constant injuries, the Clippers may look to listen to potential deals for their star man from Fresno State. In this episode, die hard Los Angeles Clippers fan Darian Vaziri talked about why the Clippers might have changed their tune, gets breaking news about a potential Malcolm Brogdon trade for Marcus Morris, and talks about the possibility of Chris Paul & Russell Westbrook playing together. He ends by giving a heartfelt tribute to Lou Williams after he announced his retirement. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! We did the podcast on Juneteenth day, a very important holiday. We started with NBA stories like the big Chris Paul for Bradley Beal trade. We dug into the Draymond opt out and impending free agency, Lou Williams retirement announcement and Ja Morant's 25 game suspension. We broke down the UFC Vegas 75 card and previewed next week's card from Jacksonville! The NBA world was rocked with this big trade between the Phoenix Suns and the Washington Wizards with guards Chris Paul and Bradley Beal switching teams. There was big news out of San Fran as Draymond Green opted out of his 27.5-million-dollar 1 year deal with Golden State to become a free agent. It will be interesting to see what kind of offers the 4-time champion gets! Lou Williams one of the best bench role players in NBA history announced his retirement from the NBA after a 17-year career. Finally with talk about the association we discussed the 25-game suspension handed down to Ja Morant for conduct detrimental to the league for posting himself waving a guy around. We did a comprehensive break down of UFC Vegas 75 the featured an incredibly entertaining main event. Jared "Tha Killa Gorilla" Cannonier set a record for significant strikes landed on Marvin Vettori in an epic Middleweight battle at nearly 250 strikes. There were a lot of good performances from top to bottom on this card. Unfortunately, two fights were very poorly handled by the referees and one of them will be under investigation by the athletic commission. One ref is accused of severely screwing up a fight and being under the influence while doing so. The other referee had two huge errors in judgement on one fight and has been singled out for his mistakes. We previewed next weekends card that will take place in Jacksonville, Florida. The main event there is a great Featherweight battle between Josh Emmett and Ilia Topuria. We highlighted the top fights on the card and gave some predictions. We finished looking ahead to the NBA Draft that takes place this Thursday in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center. We went over the consensus top ten lottery picks and the teams that are selecting them. We also showcased a few top Canadian prospects that are expected to be drafted or work out for teams over the summer. Please go to our websites for lots of great content. www.completesportsmedia.com www.completemedianetwork.com Enjoy, Take care, Love yah, Bye for now!
Tretí NBA podcast za 7 dní! Nebolo to tak dávno, čo sme s týmto slovným spojením k vám prišli naposledy. Po draftovom špeciále totiž tradične v utorok prichádzame s tými najhorúcejšími NBA témami. Ukončenie kariéry Loua Williamsa, nový GM vo Warriors a pokračovanie Gallinariho na lavičke Celtics. Nielen o tom sú tohtotýždňové novinky. Tvrdenia jedného hráča nás priviedli do varu a Ľuboš si dokonca neustrážil slovník a nazval ho škaredým slovom. Poznáme nového šampióna, ktorému to neprial asi málokto. Rob and Shap talk about the pending Bradley Beal to the Suns deal and how it might affect the Clippers, particularly with the possibility of a Chris Paul reunion to the Clippers as a third team. Would it be a good move for LAC? How does it affect Russell Westbrook? Can LAC get other players as well from the Wizards? The guys then close reminiscing about the now retired Lou Williams, a Clipper great.

After yesterday's realization that RJ Barrett was one point away from giving the Knicks three players with 30-plus on Sunday night in Boston, there's an obvious question… have the Knicks ever done that? We know they haven't done it against the Celtics, but… let's fire up Stathead.Turns out, the answer is yes. On March 24, 1979, the Knicks had a double-overtime home loss to the Bulls, 148-143, in which Earl Monroe and Ray Williams each scored 34 points and Toby Knight added 30. Chicago got 41 from Artis Gilmore and 33 from Mickey Johnson at the Garden. There's one other time it happened: March 2, 1962. If that date is familiar… well, we just discussed that one, too, because it was Wilt Chamberlain's 100-point game. The Knicks got 39 points in that one from Richie Guerin, 33 from Cleveland Buckner, and another 31 from Willie Naulls, but obviously Chamberlain in triple figures and four other Philadelphia Warriors (Paul Arizin, Al Attles, Tom Meschery, and Guy Rodgers) in double figures was enough for a 169-147 final. So, the Knicks are 0-2 all time when they have a trifecta of 30-point scorers. Good thing that Barrett didn't get that extra free throw to fall and join Immanuel Quickley and Julius Randle in the 30 club, right?Since that Knicks-Bulls game in 1979, there have been 29 times that an NBA team had three guys go for 30 or more points… and the Knicks have been responsible defensively for three of them.December 27, 1988: Hawks 128, Knicks 126 (at Atlanta) — Reggie Theus (32), Moses Malone (30), Dominique Wilkins (30)January 18, 1989: Warriors 133, Knicks 119 (at Oakland) — Winston Garland (31), Mitch Richmond (31), Chris Mullin (30)January 5, 2020: Clippers 135, Knicks 132 (at Los Angeles) — Montrezl Harrell (34), Lou Williams (32), Paul George (32)The Knicks are 0-7 all time when there are three 30-point scorers in a game, because the Hawks also did this to them in 1971 in Atlanta (Walt Bellamy 33, Pete Maravich 31, Lou Hudson 30) and in 1960 in St. Louis (Clyde Lovellette 39, Cliff Hagan 32, Bob Pettit 32).The most recent such game anywhere in the NBA? December 28 of this season, when the Kings had Malik Monk score 33 points off then bench, plus 31 apiece from De'Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis in a 127-126 home win over the Nuggets.Use code WCPIO for 10% off in the Willets Pen shop! In this Talking About Podcast episode, Sean Kennedy and Dave Early discuss Maxey's career-high 44 points. The 21-year-old shot 15-of-20 from the field, including 9-of-12 from three-point range, going a perfect 10-of-10 from the field and 7-of-7 on three-pointers in the first half. He became the first Sixer in franchise history to hit his first seven threes, and the first Sixer since Lou Williams in 2010 to sink his first 10 field goals. In today' show we discuss all the NBA rumors and then discuss our NBA mock draft. Rival executives expect Hornets restricted free agent Miles Bridges to command a maximum — or near-max — deal in July, and sources said there's hesitancy from Charlotte to match a max sheet. Bridges had a breakout season in 2021-22, averaging 20.2 points, seven rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. Bridges' two-way ability on the wing has become incredibly valued toward winning. Atlanta Hawks free-agent guard Lou Williams intends to continue his playing career, his agent Wallace Prather says. Williams, a 17-year veteran, averaged 6.3 points and 14.3 minutes a game over 56 contests this past season. The Cleveland Cavaliers restricted free agent Collin Sexton has been cleared for full basketball activities, sources said. The Pacers are seriously discussing trades centered on Malcolm Brogdon and Myles Turner, sources said. The Timberwolves have discussed deals around veteran centers, including Atlanta's Clint Capela, sources said.~Sources said the Jazz are scheduling second interview times with 15 candidates. Shoutout to Jamal Crawford who retired today, arguably the greatest Sixth-man of all-time with his contributions to the game, will we see him in the Hall of Fame? Also lets show love to all the Sixth-man who have made the Sixth-man what it is today; Lou Williams, Manu Ginóbili, Jason Terry, Kevin McHale, Dell Curry, and J.R. Smith. LeBron James just passed Karl Malone for 2nd all-time on NBA career scoring list, will this give him a case as the greatest scorer of all-time? People forget that putting the ball in the hoop is scoring, we love to see the handle and highlights but scoring is scoring and LeBron does it! If LeBron isn't the greatest scorer of all-time where does he sit…is he top-5? Kobe, MJ, and KD are elite scorers how does LeBron stack up? Will Dame be in Portland forever? The Gents return after a short-term hiatus with a special live show live from the 99th Avenue Studios in Tampa, FL! TV spent the past couple of weeks in town with EstoBro visiting while Young Jaimé was having a hard time getting it together for the show, but all is well that ends well and the show is back to business as usual. The Gents jumped into the exact moment where the tournament of NCAA Men's March Madness (4:48) is going on during the Sweet Sixteen, followed by the results on what happened after the NBA trade deadline (6:50) with TV and EstoBro as winners and Young Jaimé simping over Lou Williams. EstoBro was more than thrilled that TV joined his dynasty-fantasy baseball league this season, and the pair cannot wait for baseball season to get underway (21:15); predicting what the results will be from teams in the MLB. Everyone got the munchies during the show, so TV ordered KFC to celebrate that restaurant's win in the first annual "Chicken Sandwich Wars" (32:00) that was assisted by friends of the podcast: Commissioner Comic Book, Mandy Hatake, and Hello Nurse! The panel that participated in the Chicken Sandwich Wars also assisted the Gents with a side-project the Gents had with the 4 Nerds 1 Podcast (46:45), as they were tasked to determine which female comic book characters were the most symbolic in honor of Women's History Month. Where the Gents found the winner of their bracket, the winner of this tournament will be decided on the 4 Nerds 1 Podcast with other contributors in future collaboration. For the remainder of the episode, the Gents breaks down Zack Snyder's cut of Justice League being released and the ripple effect that it has across the Internet (80:20); even further with discussing the reaction after the red band trailer dropped for The Suicide Squad (93:30). Again, we apologize for our brief hiatus and we are more than excited to bring our listeners more content from here on out!
