Tom Kelly wants to keep the 3rd pick and rebuild with whoever the Sixers get at #3. Tom wants to get rid of Paul George and Joel Embiid and build around some fresh new talent. Jon Ritchie is optimistic that Embiid could come back healthier than ever.

The Morning Show, with Tom Kelly filling in for Joe DeCamara, and Jon Ritchie starts with their reactions to the NBA Draft Lottery. The Dallas Mavericks, who barely had a chance (1.8%), got the first pick in the NBA Draft Lottery. Sounds like the draft was rigged. Tom wants the Sixers to keep their third pick and rebuild. He wants to trade Paul George and Joel Embiid. Jon Ritchie thinks Embiid might recover and be even better.

The Morning Show reacted to the Mavericks surprisingly getting the 1st overall pick in the NBA Draft last night during the NBA Draft Lottery. Something seems a little fishy- after years of these “miracles” happening for specific teams, the Morning team thinks the draft is probably rigged in some way. Tom wants the Sixers to rebuild by keeping their #3 pick and trade Paul George and Joel Embiid, but Jon Ritchie disagrees saying Embiid might be back and healthier than ever next season.
