Ben Hodgson - Worldwide Community (All In Service 2026) by Breathe New Life Church

Stephen Matthew - Fullfillment by Breathe New Life Church

On Sunday 8th February, we celebrated all of the many nations represented at Breathe New Life Church. Sara Jukes shared a message about God's global heart, based on chapters 3 and 4 in Acts. In the face of threats, imprisonment and persecution, the early church were a praying community. After they prayed (Acts 4:31), they were unified as one in heart and mind and became a caring community. As a result, they also became a worldwide community of power as they were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. If we pray together, we too can be a worldwide community of prayer, care and power. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

In his message on Offering Sunday 2026, Ps Paul Jukes challenged us to consider our motives when giving to God. In scripture, there are those who give to show off what they have, those who give with the expectation to be paid back and those who give to fulfil their religious duty. These types of givers will only ever receive short-term fulfilment. If we're looking for long-term fulfilment and eternal rewards, our motive for giving should be to give wholeheartedly to the Lord, like Mary who anointed the feet of Jesus with perfume worth a year's wages (John 12:3). Mary was influenced by worship and service and her reward was the presence of Jesus and the favour of God. There is nothing more precious than that! -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

On Vision Sunday, our Senior Pastors Paul and Sara Jukes unpacked our vision focus for the year; a year of Fulfilment. Based on Ephesians 1:22-23 which states that God placed everything under the feet of Jesus, appointed Him to be the head over His church, which is the body of Christ, the fulness of Him who fills everything in every way. As we grow in maturity individually, the church also grows in love, which is the fulfilment of the Law (Romans 13:10). Both Paul and Sara shared about how we are to become a worldwide caring community by loving our brothers and sisters around the world. We'll then become worldwide praying community and finally, a worldwide community of power. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

In this message on Review Sunday, Sara Jukes used the example of King David to model 3 things we can do in order to approach our past in a healthy way. Firstly to reflect, then to release and finally to renew. Our past experiences are important because they help to form us; however, we need to allow our past gratitude to shape our future attitude, and in order to grow beyond our yesterday, we should give thanks for our struggles and allow them to shape us and for God to give us victory in our future. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

On Volunteer Sunday, Ben shared about the three stages of Gideon's army (Judges 6 and 7) and three qualities that God is looking for in a volunteer. Firstly, there were 32,000 warriors who responded to Gideon's call to arms and who declared themselves available, which is the first quality. The second quality is authenticity. 22,000 warriors admitted that they were afraid and were free to leave the battlefield. Similarly, the church is a body, and we are there to stand in the gap and support one another through difficult seasons of life. The final 300 men were selected for battle by God Himself, therefore the final quality is to be appointed by God. It is important that we all await our appointment from God who has a specific role and place for each of us. Like Gideon, Jesus made himself available, shared our humanity and vulnerability and knows what it is like to be rejected by man but appointed by God. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

In this new year message, Steff Hodgson looks at the differences between purpose and goals in order to encourage us to live purpose-focused, rather than goal focused. Our purpose is to know God, love Him and others, to become like Jesus and to serve others. Unlike goals which can change, our purpose remains. In this message, Steff gives three keys to living purpose-focused: 1. Stay close to God 2. Embrace Surrender (trust Him) 3. Let God Lead -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

Beccy Pitts - The Power of Testimony sharing by Breathe New Life Church

We read in Luke 2 about the shepherds who were terrified and the host of heavenly angels who praised God, leading to the shepherds glorifying and praising God too! This was not so much a silent night, but most likely a noisy one! In this Carol Service message, Sara Jukes asked the question about what we are listening to this Christmas. We can choose to listen to the fear, the disappointment and the negativity, or we can tune into Jesus' playlist of peace, joy and hope! May you pick Jesus' playlist this Christmas! ------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

Special guest, Francis Mugwanya (Father's Heart Mobility) shares about the time that Jesus (and Peter) walked on water as recorded in Matthew 14 and Mark 6. We must not confuse facts with truth, and we should not stay comfortable with the status quo, or be overcome with fear. Instead we should trust in God's faithfulness, power and provision. Even if we are in the middle of a storm, God calls us to act on our personal convictions, leading us to move and to step out of the boat in faith. The key part of the miracle, is to keep our eyes on Jesus at all times. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

Paul Jukes - The Art of Remembering by Breathe New Life Church

Beccy Pitts shares a message about how to read the bible and meditate on scripture, based on Psalm 1. According to the Psalmist, those who delight in the law of the Lord and meditate on it day and night, will be fruitful. If we read the bible prayerfully, intentionally and curiously, we will be fruitful in the season we are in and in the future seasons. If we rely on His strength, we will not wither or fade and whatever we do, will prosper. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

In a message about fruitful serving and attendance, Paul Jukes shared about the paralyzed man who was carried to Jesus, through the roof of a house (Luke 5:17-26) which proves that there is a power in showing up and a power in agreement. Fruitfulness begins with showing up, being there for others and requires pushing through barriers as well as humility. Just as Jesus had to trust the Father to raise him from the dead, the paralyzed man had to trust that he would be lifted up after he had been lowered down. Similarly, we need to trust God to lift us out of our dark circumstances. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

On Remembrance Sunday, Sara Jukes began our disciplines and discipleship series with a message about relationships and connections. In Nehemiah 3, we read of God's fruitful work in rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem, which the people did as a team. God's work is all about teamwork. If we take ownership and work together, God will turn our mundane into the magnificent and bring about restoration and redemption. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

During our All In service on Sunday 2nd November, Ben Hodgson shares about the tricks of Halloween, and the treats that God offers to us instead. Halloween is a celebration of death, whereas Jesus came to give us life. Halloween tries to trick us that darkness wins, and yet God's light can never be extinguished. Halloween offers deception, whereas Jesus is truth personified! Finally, Halloween tricks into thinking that Christians are outnumbered and defeated, whereas Jesus holds the ultimate victory over death, sin and the Devil! Rob Pitts - Unisual Kindness by Breathe New Life Church

In Matthew, chapter 22, Jesus instructed us to, “Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence." (Matthew 22:37 MSG) and to love our neighbours as our ourselves. Jesus' passion drove him to the cross to die for us. His passion caused Him to overcome the devil's temptations and earthly passions in the wilderness (Matthew 4). In Matthew 21, Jesus' passion overflowed as He turned over the tables in the temple. This act of passion brought change, challenged religious spirits, promoted intimacy with God and created space for those in need of healing. May this message help you clear out and create space in your own life! -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

Tim Davies shares a message about baptism on Sunday 12th October. Using the scripture in Colossians, chapter 2, Tim challenges people to accept Jesus Christ as Lord (Colossians 2:6-7) and allow their roots to grow down into Him and to build their lives on Him. We should be passionate about our relationship with Jesus and celebrate what he has done in the lives of others because Jesus causes us to grow in Him, to be complete in Him and to be alive in Him. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

Freedom is one of our three Core Values at Breathe New Life. The only way we can be truly free is to receive freedom in Christ; however, many of us try to earn our permanent place in the family of God with good deeds and our own merit. No matter how many good merits we achieve, we'll never be able to outweigh the guilt of our own sin. Like in Job 33, we needed someone to stand in the gap and save us from death. That person was Jesus, whose one act of obedience enabled us to be made righteous, perfect and holy (Hebrews 10:14), giving us a permanent place in the family of God, and now no other sacrifice is necessary (Hebrews 10:17-18). Jesus stood up for the woman caught in adultery in front of her accusers (John 8), he gave her a new life and told her to sin no more. We should do the same! If we continue to sin, we'll be enslaved again; however, we have the Holy Spirit, who is our advocate, to help us! -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

Ben Hodgson - You are already clean by Breathe New Life Church

Sara Jukes shares about the process of pruning that Jesus talked about in John 15. If Jesus is the true vine, we are the branches then God - the gardener - is the one who prunes the branches in order to help us remain fruitful. It can be a painful process but also one that brings great joy! All we need to do is trust that the gardener knows best and if we remain in Him, we will bear fruit, much fruit and fruit that will last. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

In John 15:5 Jesus said, "I am the vine; you are the branches" and that we must remain in Him in order to bear fruit. If we are connected to the vine, we will bear much fruit, our prayers will be answered and yet we will also have hostility. In order to remain in Him we need to come to the baby changing station! Like a baby who needs a new nappy, we need to cry out, call on and cling to our parent, which is exactly what King David did to his Father God, in Psalm 13. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

During our All In Service, Rhi concludes our summer preaching series on the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) by sharing about goodness. As the famous saying goes, "God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good!" God's goodness is continuous, consistent and is present on our bad days as well as our good. God sowed goodness into the fabric of creation (Genesis 1) and his goodness is in everyone, even if we cannot see it. That said, we have a responsibility to cultivate goodness in our own lives. As Galatians 5:15 says, we need to let the Holy Spirit show us how. God can breathe life into us if we come to him regularly and surrender to Him. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

Guest speaker, Dave Food (Runnymede Christian Fellowship, Egham) shares a message about harvesting and fruitfulness and makes the point that harvesting takes place every day and everywhere. Jesus said in Luke 10:2, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few" therefore there is a need for normal people like us to do the harvesting and to look for opportunities to have redemptive conversations, leave an impact and lead someone to Jesus. "Open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest." (John 4:35) -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

Jonny Newbould - Gentleness is love in Action by Breathe New Life Church

During our summer preaching series on the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), Deb shares about patience. The Bible defines patience in various different ways, including long-suffering, being long-tempered, having a long fuse and being slow to anger. Deb theorises that impatience is the emotional displacement of fear. This fear is specifically born from distrust in the abilities and or willingness of the one you are waiting for to produce the outcome that you desire. To help us in this area, we need to know that God is completely sovereign, He is infinite in wisdom and His love is perfect. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

During our summer preaching series on the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), Ethan shares about love, and particularly about agape love, which is the highest value of love. This is the way in which God loves us (John 3:16), it is also the way in which we are commanded to love in Mark 12 and in Matthew 22. Thirdly, we (plural) are equipped, by the Holy Spirit, to do agape love, with particular reference to forgiveness. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

Colossians 3 instructs us to clothe ourselves with kindness which, when translated from it's original language, means sinking into a garment or fully immersing in water. Even the kindest of people are prone to taking off their kindness, especially when behind the wheel of a car! Rachel encourages us to be kind on every occasion, especially when no one is watching or listening. She also challenges us to show unusual kindness, much like the islanders showed Paul when he was shipwrecked in Acts 28. No matter who we are, we can all relate to anxiety, including Adam and Even who hid themselves from God (Genesis 3:9-10). Ethan encourages us that peace is found in a person - Jesus - and it was his punishment that brought us peace (Isaiah 53:4-5). Even if the worst-case scenario happens, God can give us shalom peace. During our summer preaching series on the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), Imogen shares about The Power of Self Control. Self control is rooted in the power of the Holy Spirit and in our relationship with God. Secondly, Self-Control provides protection for us in the form of healthy boundaries. Finally, there is great power in our words, therefore self-control helps us to take care with every syllable. During our summer preaching series on the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), Baz shares about Faithfulness. In Hebrews 11, we read of a great Hall of Fame of people of faith. In this message Baz asks, what does it take to make the list? Abel was generous, Noah was obedient. Abraham obeyed even when he did not understand, and Sara believed the truth over fact. During our All In Service on Sunday 27th July, Ben Hodgson shares about the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12). In Romans 12:4-5, we learn that we are one body (unison) made up of many different parts (unique). We all belong to each other (unity) and we all have a special function (useful). Rob Pitts shares seven ways to be far-reaching in the context of our corporate fruitfulness, for example by investing in people, sharing the Good News and partnering with global mission projects. In order to do this, we need to live a life of surrender like the Apostle Paul and remain in the grapevine, Jesus (John 15). Just like an apple tree, we'll only ever be as far-reaching as our root system allows. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

Tim Davies - Corporate Fruit by Breathe New Life Church

The bible starts and finishes with fruitfulness and is a theme running throughout scripture. In this message, guest speaker Dr Glenn Balfour (Missio Dei College, Assemblies of God UK) defines fruitfulness as doing something useful. Fruitfulness demands a good source, good preparation and plenty of hard work. God works through or effort and ensure that our labour is not in vain (2 Timothy 2:6). -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

Paul Reid - Living a generous life by Breathe New Life Church

Priscilla Reid - To the least of these by Breathe New Life Church

A message from Ian Byrd, Apostolic Team Leader of Lifelinks International on Sunday 27th April. In 2 Chronicles, chapter 20, we read about King Jehoshaphat whose army was faced with huge enemy armies. Turning to God, he prayed in front of the community of Judah and Jerusalem and admitted that he and his army were utterly powerless and dependent upon Him. In order to be successful and overcome the enemies that we face in life, we too need to take three key steps. Firstly, we need to give up and let go of the worthless idols in our lives. Secondly, we need to look up in prayer to God and worship Him, remembering all that he has done. Finally, we need to step up in obedience to God, being faithful even in the smallest of things. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

Paul Jukes - Jesus is Risen (Easter Sunday 2025) by Breathe New Life Church

In this Palm Sunday message, Beccy Pitts compares two contrasting kings. Firstly King Xerxes mentioned in the book of Esther would have been the kind of king that the Jewish people would have had in mind when King Jesus rode triumphantly into Jerusalem. Although Jesus and Xerxes were similar in their ultimate authority, ownership and responsibility, they were very different. Jesus was humble whereas Xerxes grand, Jesus was perfect whereas Xerxes was flawed, and Jesus was approachable whereas Xerxes was not. Finally Jesus is an eternal King whereas Xerxes was only finite. The question Beccy poses in this message is an important one, is Jesus your king? Secondly, is he king in every area of your life? -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian
