Reach Out: Please include your email and I will get back to you. Thanks!Revelation 4 John is taken in the Spirit to a vision of heaven, where a throne sits at the center, surrounded by glory and awe. The One on the throne, the Father, shines with the brilliance of precious stones, and a rainbow like an emerald encircles Him. Around the throne are twenty-four elders dressed in white with golden crowns, and flashes of lightning and peals of thunder come from the throne. Seven blazing torches represent the Spirit of God. Four living creatures, full of eyes and with different faces—a lion, an ox, a man, and an eagle—continually worship, declaring God as holy. The elders fall before Him, casting their crowns and praising Him as the Creator of all things. Heaven revolves around the glory and worthiness of the almighty God.  We are shown that worship starts with seeing God as He truly is. He sits on the throne, full of majesty, surrounded by beauty, power, and ongoing praise. We often get distracted by what is happening around us, but Revelation lifts our eyes to what is happening above us. God is not shaken by anything on earth. He reigns with glory and authority. We are called to respond like the elders, laying down our crowns and honoring Him. Everything we have comes from Him, and everything exists for His purpose. When we see God clearly, our hearts become more humble, our worship becomes more sincere, and our lives are reshaped around His greatness, not our own comfort or pride.  Glorious God, You are seated on the throne, full of majesty and surrounded by endless praise. You are holy, worthy, and exalted above all. The heavens declare Your greatness, and all creation exists by Your will. Help us see You as You are, to lift our eyes above the noise of this world, and to worship You with sincere hearts. Teach us to lay down our pride, our desires, and our crowns before You. Fill us with awe and reverence. May our lives reflect the glory we see in You, and may our hearts never grow tired of praising Your name.  Thought Questions: How do you picture the Father sitting on the throne? If you imagined approaching Him when you pray, how might that benefit you? What do you believe the twenty-four elders and four creatures represent? Regardless, what does their worship say about God? Why is God worthy to receive glory, honor, and power? What does it look like in your life to present those things humbly to Him?

Reach Out: Please include your email and I will get back to you. Thanks!Revelation 3 Jesus continues His message to the churches, addressing Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea. To Sardis, He warns that they have a reputation for being alive but are actually spiritually dead. He calls them to wake up, strengthen what remains, and repent before He comes like a thief. To Philadelphia, He offers no rebuke but encourages them to hold fast, promising protection and honor for their faithfulness. He places before them an open door of opportunity for service that no one can shut. To Laodicea, He issues a stern warning, rebuking their lukewarm faith. He urges them to become zealous and repent. Though He stands at the door and knocks, He will only come in if invited. Each message ends with a promise to those who overcome, listening to the Spirit's wisdom.  We are called to examine the true state of our hearts. It is possible to appear strong in faith while drifting far from God. Jesus sees beyond our reputation and invites us to wake up, repent, and return to what is lasting. We must not settle for a lukewarm life. He desires that we walk in full devotion, not half-hearted belief. When we remain faithful, even with little strength, He opens doors that no one can close. We do not earn these promises, but we are invited to respond with faith and endurance. Jesus stands at the door, ready to come in. We must choose to listen, respond with humility, and walk in renewed fellowship with Him each day.  All-powerful God, You see us as we truly are. You know when we are strong, and You know when we have grown cold or distant. Thank You for sharing the power of Jesus and calling us to serve Him more faithfully. Wake us up when we become complacent. Give us courage to repent and strength to follow through. Help us not to live for appearances but to walk in genuine faith and devotion. When we feel weak, remind us that You are with us. May our hearts remain open to Your correction. Come close to us as we turn to You.  Thought Questions: What does it say to Jesus to want white garments in glory, but soil your garments in this life? Why must you choose holiness now? If your deeds are faithful, how might God open a door for you that no one can close? What does that mean, and has He already done so? What is “lukewarm”? Why does Jesus advise such a one to buy gold, garments, and eye salve from Him? What does He mean by that?

Send us a textFive books. One lively conversation that jumps from genetics to law, from compassion to culture, from jungle missions to a CEO's second chance. We pulled together a year-end stack that refuses easy answers and invites deeper thinking, practical wisdom, and real hope.We start with Traced by Nathaniel T. Jeanson, a lay-friendly tour through genetics and human migrations that challenges assumptions about where we come from and how we got here. Then we turn to Vaccines Amen by attorney Aaron Siri, who opens the courtroom door on depositions, evidence standards, and the places where health policy starts to look more like dogma than science. The point isn't to burn it all down; it's to build trust through transparent data, honest limits, and accountability.Ali Beth Stuckey's Toxic Empathy presses on a tender nerve: compassion can harm when it drifts from truth. We unpack how that plays out in debates over abortion, immigration, and LGBT policy, and why wise love needs clear definitions, moral courage, and Scripture-saturated thinking. From there, Gary Dawson's Gringo Mamo of the Amazon drops us into the Orinoco basin, where language, friendship, and spiritual conflict shape a raw portrait of mission work that is anything but tidy. Finally, Mike Lindell's What Are the Odds traces a bruising path through addiction, gambling, entrepreneurship, and, eventually, a genuine encounter with faith that reorders everything.Threading through our conversation is a simple conviction: readers are leaders. Daily Bible reading anchors us; thoughtful books expand us. If you're setting goals for the new year, this list offers challenge, comfort, and a few jaw-dropping stories to keep you turning pages. Join us, take notes, and then tell us what you're reading next.If this conversation sparked a new title on your list, tap follow, share with a friend who loves a good book, and leave a quick review so others can find the show. To Ephesus, He praises their hard work and endurance but warns them that they have lost their first love and urges them to return to it. To Smyrna, He encourages them to stay faithful despite suffering and promises the crown of life. To Pergamum, He acknowledges their loyalty but rebukes their tolerance of false teachings and calls them to repentance. To Thyatira, He commends their love and service but condemns their acceptance of corrupt and immoral influences within the church. Each message includes spiritual and eternal promises to those who overcome. The Son of God reveals that He sees every action, knows every heart, and calls His people to holiness, truth, and perseverance through trials.  Jesus knows our actions, struggles, and hearts, as individuals and as local churches. He sees both our strengths and weaknesses. We are called to remain faithful during trials, to hold onto the truth, and to reject anything that pulls us away from Him. When our love grows cold or when we tolerate sin, Jesus does not stay silent. He corrects us because He desires what is pure and lasting within us. We are reminded that faithfulness matters, even in small things. Jesus walks among His people and speaks with authority. We must listen, repent where necessary, and press on with courage. If we overcome through Him, He promises us a place in His kingdom and eternal life. Let's follow Him together.  Gracious Lord, You have spoken through Your Son to the churches, calling us to faithfulness, love, and truth. You see our hearts, our deeds, and our struggles. When we grow cold in our love, stir us to return. When we face suffering, give us strength to endure. When false teaching surrounds us, help us hold firmly to the truth of Christ. Let His presence among us be our hope and our guide. Shape our lives to reflect His authority and holiness. May we listen to His words, repent where needed, and remain faithful until the end. Help us overcome through Him.  Thought Questions: What does it mean that the church in Ephesus left its first love? How can churches be strong in truth but also equally robust in love?  What are the promises Christ makes to those who overcome? Are they amazing enough to promote faithfulness until death in Jesus' name? Sadly, idolatry and immorality were threats to local churches in John's time. Why is it important to directly address them in our fellowship?

If you are interested in the Daily Bible Devotional, you can find it at the links below:Amazon - (paperback, hardcover, and Kindle)YouTube Video Introducing the ContentFeel free to reach out with any questions: emersonk78@me.comRevelation 1Revelation consists of highly symbolic writings by the apostle John, with all revelation coming from Jesus Christ, given to show His servants what must soon happen. John receives the message while exiled on the island of Patmos and is told to write down what he sees. He describes Jesus in majestic and symbolic terms: dressed in a long robe, with white hair, eyes like fire, and a voice like rushing waters. Jesus holds seven stars and walks among seven golden lampstands, which represent the seven angels and the seven churches of Asia. Jesus identifies Himself as the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, who was dead but now lives forever. This imagery sets the tone for the rest of the book, emphasizing Christ's glory, authority, and victory. Jesus Christ, the faithful witness and the firstborn from the dead, holds all authority and power. When we face fear, suffering, or uncertainty, we can find comfort in knowing that the risen Christ stands among His people and speaks with strength and purpose. We are not alone in our trials. Jesus is the First and the Last, meaning He is present at the beginning and end of every situation we encounter. His presence among the lampstands shows that He walks with His church and cares deeply for us. Christ's power to protect and destroy is infinite, and we honor Him with great reverence and awe. We are called to listen to His voice, trust in His power, and remain faithful. Glorious Father, You have revealed to us the risen Christ in His glory, shining like the sun and speaking with a voice like rushing waters. We worship You for His power, His victory over death, and His presence among the churches. Help us to see Jesus as John saw Him: full of holiness, strength, and eternal life. When we are weak or afraid, remind us that He holds the keys to death and the grave. Let His words give us courage, and His presence bring us peace. Teach us to listen, trust, and follow Him faithfully, respecting His absolute authority. Thought Questions: Revelation contains events “which must soon take place” as “the time is near.” Why is that important to understand as you study it? Jesus has saved us by His blood and made us a kingdom of priests to God. How do those truths shape the entire purpose of your life? The description of Jesus in this chapter is incredible. As you read it, how does it make you feel about “the living One” whom you serve?

If you are interested in the Daily Bible Devotional, you can find it at the links below:Amazon - (paperback, hardcover, and Kindle)YouTube Video Introducing the ContentFeel free to reach out with any questions: emersonk78@me.comJude Jude writes to believers with the original intent of encouraging them in their shared salvation, but he shifts his focus to urge them to contend for the faith. He warns that ungodly people have secretly slipped in among them, twisting God's grace into a license for immorality and denying Jesus Christ. Jude reminds readers of past judgments on those who rejected God, including the Israelites in the wilderness, rebellious angels, and the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. These false teachers are dangerous influences, driven by pride, greed, and rebellion. Believers must remain strong by building themselves up in faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, and staying in God's love. Jude closes with praise to God, who is able to keep them from falling and bring them into His glorious presence.  God calls us to hold tightly to the faith He has given us, even as the world around us becomes increasingly confused and careless with truth. We must be careful not to follow those who twist grace or reject Jesus; they are known by their attitude and the fruit they produce. Instead, we should build our lives on His Word, maintain a close connection with Him through prayer, and rely on His love to guide us. We live in God's love and wait for Christ's return. When others struggle, we respond with mercy, helping them return to the truth. Our hope is not in ourselves but in the God who keeps us secure and saves us through our Lord Jesus.     Majestic Lord, we praise You for our shared salvation and the hope of eternal life that guides our hearts and lives. Strengthen us to defend the gospel message wherever You lead us. So many have denied Your worthy authority in their lives. Help us recognize the foolishness of Cain, Balaam, and Korah, and instead choose to humbly follow the Lord Jesus Christ. Please block the false teachers and deceitful workers who hinder the good work You have for us to accomplish. Guide us in teaching the lost, assisting those who struggle, and empowering us with Your strength and protection.  Thought Questions: What does it mean to “contend earnestly for the faith”? Why should that primarily involve defending Jesus as Master and Lord? What will God do to all who do not believe? What are the errors of Cain, Balaam, and Korah that often lead to rampant disobedience? When was the last time you snatched someone from the fire? How vital is mercy towards others and efforts made to restore and help them?

If you are interested in the Daily Bible Devotional, you can find it at the links below:Amazon - (paperback, hardcover, and Kindle)YouTube Video Introducing the ContentFeel free to reach out with any questions: emersonk78@me.comIII John John writes to his dear friend Gaius, praising him for his faithfulness and love in supporting fellow believers, even those who are strangers. Gaius walks in the truth, and John expresses great joy in hearing that his spiritual children are living faithfully. He encourages continued support for those doing God's work, as they rely on the hospitality of believers. John contrasts Gaius with Diotrephes, a man who rejects authority, spreads malicious words, and refuses to welcome other believers. He warns against following such bad examples and instead urges believers to imitate what is good. He also commends Demetrius for his strong reputation and faithful life. John hopes to visit soon and closes with greetings of peace and love from mutual friends in the faith.  We will greatly prosper in Christ as we walk in truth and express love through our actions. Like Gaius, we are called to support those who serve God, even if we do not know them personally. Our hospitality and encouragement can genuinely make a difference in the work of the gospel. Meanwhile, we must avoid following the example of pride or selfishness, as seen with Diotrephes. Our goal is to be recognized for our kindness, humility, and commitment to serving others. When we live with integrity and care for our fellow believers, we bring joy to those in leadership and honor God with our lives. Let us continue to walk in truth, serve faithfully, and love deeply every day.  Almighty God, thank You for the truth that shapes our lives and for people who encourage us to walk faithfully. Help us to be like Gaius, generous and welcoming to those who serve in Your name. Grant us discernment to recognize what is good and courage to turn away from pride and division. Fill our hearts with joy as we serve others and open our homes in love. May we be known for building up the body of Christ, not tearing it down. Let our words bring peace, our actions show grace, and our lives reflect the light of Christ.  Thought Questions: Why has hospitality become so rare, particularly toward unfamiliar people? How do you show kindness to brethren who pass through? Why did Diotrephes accuse John and refuse to accept Christians? How do you prevent a level of pride that does such evil to brethren? Demetrius received a good testimony from everyone. How do you think he built that reputation, and how are you doing the same?

He rejoices that some of them are living according to the truth, just as the Father commanded. He reminds them of the old command to love one another and explains that love is demonstrated through obedience to God's commands. John warns against deceivers who do not acknowledge that Jesus Christ came in the flesh. Such individuals are identified as antichrists. He encourages believers to be careful and not lose what they have worked for, but to remain faithful so they may receive a full reward. Anyone who does not remain in the teaching of Christ does not have God. John concludes with hope to visit soon and encourages ongoing fellowship and faithfulness.  We are encouraged to stay grounded in both truth and love. Knowing what is right isn't enough; we are called to live it out each day. Loving one another shows that we belong to God and are walking in His light. At the same time, we must be cautious of false teachings that seek to distort the truth about Jesus. We guard our hearts by holding firmly to the message we first believed and by remaining connected to the teachings of Christ. When we stay faithful, we grow closer to God and help others do the same. Let us commit to living with love, protecting truth, rejecting error, and encouraging one another to remain strong in our faith.  Heavenly Father, thank You for the truth that resides in us and will be with us forever. Help us walk faithfully in love and obedience, just as You have commanded. Grant us wisdom to recognize false teachings and the courage to stand firm in the truth of Christ. Teach us to love others deeply, showing grace and kindness in all that we do. Strengthen our hearts to remain in the teachings of Jesus, so we stay close to You and avoid being led astray. Fill us with joy, peace, and a desire to live in truth each day for Your glory.  Thought Questions: John took great joy in hearing of others walking in the truth. Who are you attached to in Christ, whose faith brings you joy and peace? Which is more important: the truth about Jesus or the love of Jesus within you? How do you make sure to feature both in your life? Who qualifies as an “antichrist”? How have you prepared to respond to someone who denies Jesus Christ as Lord?

Love for God is demonstrated by obeying His commands, which are not burdensome. Those born of God overcome the world through faith. Jesus came by water and blood, and the Spirit testifies to this truth. There are three that testify: the Spirit, the water, and the blood, and all agree. Believing the testimony God has given about His Son leads to eternal life. John writes so that believers may know they have everlasting life. He encourages confidence in prayer, especially regarding God forgiving those who battle sin. Christ will protect His people from the evil one, saving their souls, and challenging them to keep themselves from idols.   Our faith in Jesus gives us true identity and lasting strength. When we believe He is the Son of God, we adopt a new way of living, characterized by love, obedience, and confidence. Loving God means caring deeply for His people and expressing that love by following His commands. These commands are not burdens; they are invitations to walk in freedom. We can approach God in prayer with boldness, knowing He hears us as we pray for others and ourselves. Jesus is our helper and protector. In His name, we are called to guard our hearts against anything that pulls us away from Him. As we stay rooted in Christ, we find victory, clarity, and the life He promises.  Abiding Lord, we praise You for the adoption You provide to believers. We believe Jesus is the Christ and embrace our identity as Your children. Help us remain joyful in Your victory and keep Your commandments with willing hearts. Thank You for the undeniable testimony of Jesus, His baptism, His death, and the Spirit's testimony about Him. We will pray with confidence through Jesus. We will appeal to His mercy on one another's behalf and enjoy protection through our victorious Savior. Please help us flee idolatry in every place and keep our eyes on Your Son, now and for eternity.    Thought Questions: Do you believe this: “whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God”? If so, what about obedience, love of others, and faithfulness? What does it mean to say that the Spirit, the water, and the blood testify of Jesus? What is the most impactful evidence of Jesus to you? Are you confident of eternal life? Why do you think so many Christians struggle with assurance of salvation? What would you tell them?

If you are interested in the Daily Bible Devotional, you can find it at the links below:Amazon - (paperback, hardcover, and Kindle)YouTube Video Introducing the ContentFeel free to reach out with any questions: emersonk78@me.comI John 4 Believers must not accept every spirit but should test them to determine if they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. The true Spirit of God acknowledges that Jesus Christ came in the flesh, while the spirit of the antichrist denies Him. Believers are from God and have overcome the world because the One who is in them is greater than the one in the world. John emphasizes the essential nature of love. Love originates from God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows Him. God demonstrated His love by sending His Son as a sacrifice for our sins. Since God loved us, we ought to love one another. If we love, God dwells in us, perfecting His love in us.  We are to stay alert and grounded in truth. Not everything we hear should be trusted, so we must test it against what we know about Jesus. When we center our lives on Him, we gain the strength to stand firm. Love is not just something we talk about; it is something we must live out daily. If God loved us enough to send His Son, then we should reflect that same love to others. This means showing patience, forgiveness, and kindness, even when it is not easy. As we love more deeply, we create space for God to work through us. His presence becomes real in our relationships, especially in deeply committed love toward brothers and sisters in Christ.   Honorable God, grant us the wisdom to properly discern truth from error. Please provide us with cautious hearts and minds regarding what we hear and choose to believe. When in doubt, lead us to lean into greater love: for You, Your people, and everyone we encounter. Thank You for demonstrating Your incredible love by sending Your Son as the propitiation for our sins. We will draw from that act of kindness to shape how we care for others. Help us develop a perfect love that casts out fear. May we be joyfully obedient to You and kind to our Christian family.  Thought Questions: What are the “spirits” that you need to test, and how do you do that? Why is it essential to be a consistent, daily bible student? Why should God's people love and help and serve one another in a way that is beyond anything the world could ever understand? How does perfect love cast out fear? How do you develop that level of love for God and others, freeing yourself from fear of punishment?

When Christ appears, Christians will be like Him, and this hope inspires believers to live with purity. Those who persist in sin reveal that they do not know Christ, while those who live righteously demonstrate that they belong to Him. A defining characteristic of God's children is their love for fellow believers. They are called to love other Christians in a world filled with hatred and malice. Hatred brings spiritual death, while love brings life and unity. By following God's commands and believing in Jesus, they gain assurance before Him. This confidence comes from knowing that God abides in them through the Spirit He has freely given.  We find our identity in being children of God, and that truth changes how we live. We are not shaped by the world's view of us; rather, we are shaped by the love the Father has shown us. Our hope of becoming like Christ compels us to live with purpose and purity. We cannot claim to follow Him while embracing sin; rather, we must abandon sin and move from death into life. In that life, loving other believers is not optional but essential. Our actions must align with our words, demonstrating kindness, grace, and support. When we love one another well and obey the commandments of our Savior, we defy the world's evil and stand boldly for the truth.  Loving Father, thank You for welcoming us as Your children and promising us eternal life in Your presence. Give us the courage to honor Your grace by pursuing purity and rejecting lawlessness. Root out any sin among us and help us turn away from it immediately, proving ourselves to be Your children. Purge us of any hatred akin to Cain, and help us learn to love fellow believers deeply and with a willingness to sacrifice for their good. May our hearts never condemn us but encourage us to love people and engage in willful obedience to Your commandments in Jesus' name.   Thought Questions: If God is your Father, and you will one day see Him, how does that impact your pursuit of purity, discipline, and ongoing righteousness? If Jesus' victory destroys the devil's work, why do we sometimes still choose sin? How will we react differently to our sin than the world?   How important is love of the brethren? What helps you grow in serving God's people, and what motivates you to serve sacrificially?

He is the atoning sacrifice for sins, not only for believers but for the entire world. Proper knowledge of Christ is demonstrated through obedience to His commands. Those who claim to know God yet do not obey are not being truthful. Love for God is perfected through obedience. John urges believers to live as Jesus did. He also presents a new yet old commandment to love one another. Hatred reveals darkness, while love shows that one walks in the light. John warns against loving the world and its temporary desires. He speaks of antichrists and urges believers to remain in Christ, holding to the gospel they heard from the beginning.   We strive to live in a way that reflects our connection to Jesus. Obedience is not merely about following rules; it is about showing love and loyalty to God. When we fail, we can turn to Jesus, who speaks on our behalf. His grace enables us to move forward. We desire to be people who love others deeply and walk in the light, avoiding anger or bitterness. The world presents distractions and empty promises, but we choose God and eternal life. We aim to remain rooted in truth, steadfast in our faith, and committed to living like Christ. Each day is an opportunity to grow in love, remain faithful, and abide in Jesus, as we devote ourselves to practicing righteousness.   Glorious Lord, thank You for the gift of Jesus, who speaks on our behalf and covers our sins with His sacrifice. Help us live in a way that shows our gratitude for Him. Teach us to obey Your commands with joy and sincerity. Fill our hearts with compassion so we may love others as You have loved us. Guard us against the distractions and temptations of the world that draw us away from You. Keep us grounded in what is eternal. Help us remain in You, walking in the light, growing in faith, and becoming more like Christ each day.  Thought Questions: What does it mean that Jesus is your Advocate with the Father? How does His position affect your desire to be obedient to Him? How important is your love for God and love for others? Why are these fundamental to every single thing you do in Christ? What are the three basic tools of the devil to allure you to the temporary? How do you ready your mind and will to resist his temptations?

If you are interested in the Daily Bible Devotional, you can find it at the links below:Amazon - (paperback, hardcover, and Kindle)YouTube Video Introducing the ContentFeel free to reach out with any questions: emersonk78@me.comI John 1The apostle John testifies to the Word of life, which he and others heard, saw with their eyes, and touched with their hands. This life was revealed through the person of Jesus Christ, and John proclaims it so that others may share in fellowship with him, with the Father, and with the Son. He announces that God is light, and there is no darkness in Him. Anyone who claims to know God but walks in darkness is not living truthfully. Yet, if people walk in the light as God is in the light, they experience true fellowship and are cleansed by the blood of Jesus. John warns that denying sin is self-deception, but assures that if sins are confessed, God is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse from all unrighteousness. As Christians, our relationship with God must be rooted in truth and light. We cannot claim to walk with Him while living in darkness. Instead, we must strive to live purely and faithfully, allowing the light of Christ to guide our actions and decisions. When we fail, we must not hide or deny our sin. God invites us to confess confidently, knowing He is faithful to forgive and purify us. Our fellowship with one another also grows stronger as we walk in the light together. We must live with integrity, seek accountability, and pursue holiness. Let us remain aware of our need for grace and continue walking in the light that leads to deeper fellowship and lasting joy. Benevolent Father, thank You for revealing the Word of life through Your Son and for inviting us into fellowship with You. Help us walk in the light as You are, living with honesty, humility, and love. Forgive us when we fall short and try to hide our sins. Give us the courage to confess freely, trusting in Your faithfulness and justice to cleanse us. Strengthen our fellowship with one another as we pursue truth together. Let Your light shine through us, that we may reflect Your character and draw others into Your grace and truth through our lives. Thought Questions: Why is John a reliable witness to the godhood and worthiness of Jesus? What does it mean to be in fellowship with John and the apostles? What does it mean to “walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light”? How do you intentionally engage that commitment daily? Will the blood of Jesus cover you if you do not admit and confess sin? How do you communicate your guilt to God as you seek mercy?
