Send us a textII Corinthians 8The Corinthians are encouraged to follow the Macedonian churches' example, giving generously despite their poverty. Their giving was an act of grace, overflowing from their joy in Christ. Paul reminds the Corinthians that true generosity comes from a willing heart, not obligation. He urges them to complete their commitment to give, just as they excel in faith, love, and knowledge. Paul points to Jesus as the ultimate example of generosity. Though rich, He became poor so that believers might become spiritually rich. He emphasizes that giving should be done according to one's ability, ensuring fairness among believers. Paul also introduces Titus and other trusted brothers, who will oversee the collection to ensure integrity. He calls the Corinthians to demonstrate their love through action, proving their commitment by giving generously and willingly.God's plan is for believers to help fellow saints in need. Paul highlights the Macedonian churches, who, despite their poverty, gave joyfully and sacrificially for their brethren. This challenges us to examine our own attitude toward giving—are we generous only when it's convenient, or do we desire to help our Christian family? True generosity isn't about wealth but about willingness. Paul reminds us that Jesus, though rich, became poor for our sake, showing that giving is an act of love. We are called to give freely, not out of obligation, but as an overflow of God's grace in us. By giving with a sincere heart, we reflect Christ and meet the needs of others, glorifying God through our generosity. Benevolent Lord, thank You for the grace You have shown us through Jesus, who became poor so that we might become rich in Your love. Teach us likewise to be generous, fueled by love for Jesus and His church. Help us to give sacrificially, trusting that You will provide for our needs. Use us bountifully so that our generosity may reflect Your grace and bring glory to Your name. Fill us with compassion for all others, and use us as vessels of Your love. May we give with sincerity, joy, and love, just as Christ gave Himself for us. Thought Questions: -       What motivated the Macedonian brethren to give, even though they had little money? Do those same reasons drive your generosity? -       What does it mean that Jesus became poor so that we might become rich? Should truly gracious work for others come at a cost to you? -       Christians proved their love for other saints by collecting funds for their needs. Is that a priority where you worship? Should it be?

Send us a textII Corinthians 7Paul encourages the Corinthians to pursue holiness, cleansing themselves from anything that defiles body and spirit, as they live in reverence to God. He expresses his love for them, reminding them that his previous letter, though painful, was written to bring repentance, not harm. Paul rejoices that their sorrow led to repentance, producing a lasting change in their hearts. He contrasts godly sorrow, which leads to salvation without regret, with worldly sorrow, which profits nothing. Paul praises the Christians for their eagerness to make things right, proving their sincere devotion to God. He also shares his joy over Titus' report, which confirms their obedience and love. Paul ends by expressing his confidence in them, knowing their repentance has strengthened their relationship with both God and him, bringing renewed unity and encouragement.In honor of God, we must pursue cleansed and holy lives. Paul reminds us that godly sorrow leads to real change, not merely regret. This challenges us to examine our hearts. When we sin, do we seek genuine repentance, turning back to God, or do we simply feel sorry without transformation? Authentic repentance should lead us to action, making things right with God and others. Paul also emphasizes the significance of encouraging one another in faith. Just as the Corinthians' obedience refreshed Titus, we should aim to be a source of encouragement for fellow believers. This passage calls us to live in holiness, embrace accountability, and respond to correction with humility, knowing that repentance brings renewed joy and restored fellowship.  Compassionate Father, thank You for calling us to holiness and for Your grace that leads us to repentance. Help us to have godly sorrow that brings true change, not just regret. Lead us to turn from sin and walk in obedience, seeking to honor You and to be passionate in our fight against evil. Give us humble hearts to accept correction and the strength to make things right. May we encourage one another in faith, just as the Corinthians refreshed Titus. Fill us with joy as we grow closer to You, knowing that repentance keeps our relationship with You secure.  Thought Questions: -       What is the difference between godly sorrow and worldly sorrow, and how can you ensure that your repentance leads to true transformation? -       Does true repentance lead you to a longing to avenge the wrong? How is turning from sin a choice to fight that sin fiercely in the future? -       In what ways can you be a source of encouragement and refreshment to fellow believers, as the Corinthians were to Titus?

On this August 11th journey through scripture, your host and Bible reading coach, Hunter, invites you to spend a few precious moments in the presence of God's Word. Today's readings take us through Jeremiah 7–9 and John 13, where we hear powerful messages of warning, repentance, and the boundless love of Christ. Hunter reflects on what it means to let Jesus wash not just our feet, but our souls—teaching us about humility, grace, and the importance of daily communion with God. Join us as we listen, reflect, pray, and remember the deep truth that we are loved—no doubt about it. TODAY'S DEVOTION: You have to get washed, and he has to wash you. You have to humbly accept Jesus' care over your life as he washes your feet. If you don't, Jesus says, you're going to miss him. You're not going to get Him. You won't understand what he's all about. There's a difference between union and communion. Peter and the twelve were united with Christ—they were one with Christ. But just like you and me, their feet got dirty because they walked in a world that is fallen and broken and dirty. Journeying through this life takes a toll on us, and our souls need to be drawn in over and over again to our life with Him. We need to be realigned, renewed, refreshed. We need to be washed. We need to come into communion with him again. So Jesus insists on cleaning our feet. When he cleans our feet, he's reminding us of who we are in him. You are his daughter. You are his son. You are one with Him. Jesus insists on caring for us throughout our lives, washing our feet, reminding us of the intimate care and grace that's offered to us each and every day. It's a humbling thing for someone to wash our feet, but our souls are in need of the humbling reality of Christ serving us. Our pride, like Peter's, wants to rise up and demand otherwise—“you'll never wash my feet,” says Peter. The flesh, our pride, always refuses. But the presence of Christ humbles us and teaches us in this moment. He teaches us who we are and what we are to become. We are chosen. We are in Him. We have union with God and we are to participate with him as servants of God. There is union, and there is communion. Our union has been forged through the life, death, resurrection of Christ—Christ alone. Our communion is where we participate with him in who we now have become and join in on what he is now doing today. He continues to wash us, even through this Word, through what we're doing here right now. You may not have noticed this, but while we were hearing the Word today, something else was happening, if you will. Christ was serving you, washing your feet. Ephesians 5 says, we are washed by the cleansing of the Word. He's washing our feet as we listen to and respond to His Word each day. Jesus says to you what he said to Peter: those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet—their whole body is clean. The water of God's Word washing our feet is going to be a part of our life together from here on out. Don't let your pride and flesh stand in the way of Christ serving you. And maybe next time, when you come to the Word, envision Jesus, the Creator of all things, washing your feet. Let it be a reminder to you that you are one with him, and that we need him to renew, to restore, to clean us—and that we are loved. And let that love move beyond you into the world to others, so that you can love the way he loved and served you. That's the prayer that I have for my own soul. That's the prayer that I have for my family, for my wife and my daughters and my son. And that's a prayer that I have for you. May it be so. Send us a textII Corinthians 6The Corinthians are encouraged not to receive God's grace in vain but to live faithfully, embracing the time for salvation. Paul describes the hardships he and his fellow workers endure—beatings, imprisonments, difficulties, and sleepless nights—yet they remain steadfast, acting with purity, patience, and sincere love. Though they are treated as impostors, they stay true; though sorrowful, they rejoice; though poor, they enrich many in Christ. Paul then warns the Corinthians against being unequally yoked with unbelievers, reminding them that righteousness and wickedness cannot coexist. As God's temple, believers must live set apart, avoiding partnerships that compromise their faith. He calls them to holiness, citing God's promise to dwell among His people. Paul urges them to separate from impurity, encouraging them to fully embrace their identity as God's children.We are to live entirely for God and not take His grace for granted. Paul reminds us that following Christ requires endurance through hardships, yet we must remain faithful with purity, patience, and love. This challenges us to examine how we respond to difficulties: do we remain steadfast or waver in unbelief? Paul also warns against being unequally yoked with unbelievers. This does not necessarily mean avoiding nonbelievers but rather being careful about relationships that could pull us away from Christ. As God's temple, we must pursue holiness, separating ourselves from sin while shining His light in the world. By embracing our identity as His children, we can walk in obedience, secure and motivated because God is our Father.Merciful Lord, thank You for Your grace and the call to live for You. Help us endure trials with patience, purity, and love, trusting in Your strength. Guard our hearts against anything that leads us away from You, and grant us wisdom in our relationships so that we may remain faithful to Your truth. We ask for wisdom in choosing our associations carefully. As Your temple, teach us to be holy, setting us apart for Your purpose. Remind us that we are Your children, loved and called to live for Your glory. Send us a textII Corinthians 5 Earthly bodies resemble temporary tents, but God has prepared an eternal house for the future. While Christians may groan in their current bodies, they hold onto the hope of resurrection and the promise of being clothed in immortality. Paul encourages them to walk by faith, not by sight, knowing that being absent from the body means being present with the Lord. He emphasizes that all believers will stand before Christ to give an account of their lives. Because of this, he urges them to live with purpose, persuading others to follow Christ. He explains that in Jesus, they are a new creation; the old has passed away, and the new has come. Believers serve as ambassadors for Christ, entrusted with the ministry of reconciliation, calling people to be reconciled to God. We are challenged to live with an eternal perspective, remembering that our true home is with God. While our earthly bodies are temporary, we have the promise of resurrection in our new life in Christ. This truth should shape how we live daily, walking by faith and seeking to please God rather than being consumed by worldly concerns. We are new creations in Christ, no longer defined by our past. As ambassadors for Jesus, we are called to share the message of reconciliation, inviting others into a restored relationship with God. This passage encourages us to live with purpose, knowing that one day we will stand before Christ and give an account of how we represented Him to the world. Mighty God, we thank You for making us a new creation in Christ, where the old has passed away, and the new has come. Help us to walk by faith, not by sight, trusting in Your eternal promises. Remind us that our true home is with You and that our lives on earth are temporary. Teach us to live with purpose, seeking to please You in all we do. As ambassadors for Christ, grant us the boldness to share the message of reconciliation with others. I'm Hunter, your host and Bible reading coach, here to spend some meaningful time with you in God's Word. Today, we're delving into Zephaniah chapters 1 through 3 and John chapter 9. Together, we'll explore powerful themes: God's judgment, restoration, and the surprising ways He reveals Himself, even in our darkest moments. As we read about the dire warnings to Jerusalem and the miracle of the man born blind, we're invited to let go of false ideas about God and discover His true nature—one of love, restoration, and self-giving grace. Stay tuned as we open our hearts, let the Bible direct our gaze to Jesus, and pray for eyes to see the light of the world anew. TODAY'S DEVOTION: He opens our eyes to the truth of who God is. What is God to do with a world trapped in darkness, unable to see, fumbling after answers and lost beneath lies about who he is? Many of us, even those who have walked with God, labor under the false assumption that God is distant, angry, and waiting to punish us, that his aim is to make an example out of us for our sins or our parents' mistakes. But when Jesus steps onto the scene, he is the light of the world, shining in our darkness—a living answer to every doubt and misbelief about God's heart. We witness this firsthand in John 9, as Jesus bends to the earth, forms mud from his own spit and the dust, and spreads it across a blind man's eyes. What was lifeless and incapable of sight is remade by the hands of God, and suddenly the impossible happens—this man sees. The very power of God is revealed in this healing, but it's not just a physical miracle. This is a sign. Jesus is showing us what he longs to do for each of us: to remove the scales from our eyes, to free us from crippling untruths about the Father, and to welcome us into the radiant light of his presence. Yet, so often, lies keep us bound in darkness. Religion might paint God in the colors of our own fears, as if he is more interested in punishment than in restoration, as if he is more judge than Father. But Jesus shows us something utterly different—self-giving, radically forgiving, co-suffering love. When we look at Jesus, we are seeing the heart of the Father. As he told Philip: “If you've seen me, you've seen the Father.” There is no shadow side to God, no surprise cruelty or hidden rage, only the faithful love we see in Jesus. Are you weary of the darkness, of striving and fearing separation? Let Jesus open your eyes today. Let him show you who God really is: the one who heals, who welcomes, who sings over you with joy. You are not separate or abandoned; you're invited into his light, already embraced in his love. This is the prayer I carry for my own soul, for my family, for my wife, my daughters, and my son. And it is the prayer I hold for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord of life, you have awakened me again to the gift of this day. You go before me, walk beside me and dwell within me. Let me walk slowly in your presence. May I resist the hurried spirit of this world and instead breathe deep of your peace. Open my eyes to beauty, my ears to your voice and my heart to the quiet work of grace. Help me not to strive, but to abide, not to achieve, but to receive today. Let my words carry your kindness, my actions reflect your mercy. My thoughts be anchored in your truth that I am yours and you are with me. Amen. Send us a textII Corinthians 4 Paul emphasizes that his ministry arises from God's mercy, and he refuses to distort or manipulate God's word. Instead, he preaches Christ openly, even though the gospel remains hidden to those blinded by the god of this world. He reminds the Corinthians that he is merely a servant, proclaiming Jesus as Lord, with God's light shining in his heart. Paul describes the Christian life as a treasure in jars of clay, illustrating that the power comes from God, not from human strength. Though believers face affliction, they are never crushed; though persecuted, they are never abandoned. Suffering reflects Christ's own, revealing His life within them. Paul encourages them to focus on what is unseen and eternal rather than on temporary struggles, knowing that their present hardships prepare them for eternal glory. Our faith is not about personal strength but about God's power working through us. Like fragile jars of clay, we may feel weak, yet God's light shines through us by His grace. When we face trials, we must remember that affliction is temporary, but God's glory is eternal. This chapter challenges us to keep our focus on Christ rather than our struggles. Instead of being discouraged by hardships, we should trust that God is using them to shape us for His purpose. By fixing our eyes on what is unseen, on His eternal promises, we find strength to endure. As we live for Him, our lives should reflect His light, showing the world that true hope is found in Jesus. Kind Father, thank You for shining Your light into our hearts through Jesus Christ. When we feel weak, remind us that Your power is made perfect in our frailty. Help us to endure trials with faith, knowing that our suffering is temporary, but Your glory is eternal. Keep our eyes fixed on what is unseen, trusting in Your promises rather than our circumstances. Let our lives reflect Your truth, shining hope into a world in need. Strengthen us to persevere, knowing that You are renewing us daily. May we glorify You in all things, relying on Your incredible strength. Thought Questions: -       Why is the gospel “veiled to those who are perishing”? Let's begin today's journey together. TODAY'S DEVOTION: Who are you? That was the question on everyone's lips in John 8. The religious leaders, confused and threatened by Jesus, kept demanding an answer. Who could he possibly be? Why did his words stir up so much fear—and so much hope? Sometimes, just like those early listeners, our own hearts are not ready to truly hear Jesus's answer. We find ourselves blinded by lies—lies that feed our fears, that swell our pride, that paint God with the colors of our own anxieties. These lies keep us from seeing Jesus for who he really is, and they keep us from the healing he longs to give. So what does God do when we are lost in that darkness? He comes. He doesn't shame us or turn away—he steps into our confusion and brokenness with love. In Jesus, God shows us the way of love: self-giving, radically forgiving, co-suffering love. Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man on the cross, then you will know that I am he.” If we want to see who Jesus is, we have only to look at the cross. There, we see what the woman caught in adultery saw: the one who stoops down, enters into the dust of our lives, and writes something new—a story not of condemnation, but of mercy and life. At the cross, we see the one who takes away the sin of the world, who includes us in the love he shares with the Father. We see love; that is who he is. That's the prayer of my heart today: that I would truly hear and see Jesus answer that old question, “Who are you?”—and that I would recognize Love lifted up for the world. This is my prayer for myself, for my family, for my wife and my daughters and my son. And that's my prayer for you, too. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting Father, you have brought us in safety to this new day. Preserve us with your mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. O God, you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near grant that people everywhere may seek after you and find you bring the nations into your fold, pour out your spirit on all flesh and hasten the coming of your kingdom through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen. And now, Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Send us a textII Corinthians 3 The apostle Paul explains he does not require letters of recommendation because the Corinthians themselves stand as proof of his ministry. Their transformed lives are letters from Christ, inscribed not on stone but on human hearts by the Spirit. He then contrasts the old covenant, which brought death through the law, with the new covenant, which imparts life through the Spirit. The law had glory, yet the ministry of the Spirit possesses even greater glory. Paul clarifies that through Christ, the veil that obscures people's understanding of God is lifted. Where the Spirit of the Lord is present, there is freedom in Jesus Christ. Paul encourages the Corinthians to embrace this freedom and transformation that comes through the Spirit rather than holding on to the old way of the law. For centuries, Jews could access God only through the laws of the Old Testament. This “ministry of death,” with its fading glory, was inscribed on stone and served as an unattainable goal for all who sought justification through it. The arrival of Christ and the new covenant has brought grace and hope to all who hear and believe. We now engage in a “ministry of the Spirit,” a “ministry of righteousness,” that will never fade away. This law of liberty is not written on stone but in our hearts, motivating us to live holy lives with grateful and joyful spirits. Our mission as workers for Christ is now to help the gospel be inscribed upon the hearts of others. Glorious Lord, thank You for writing Your truth on our hearts and giving us new life through Your Spirit. Help us to rely not on our own strength but on the freedom found in Christ. Remove any veil that blinds us from fully knowing You, and transform us daily into the image of Jesus. May our lives be living letters that reflect Your love, grace, and glory to those around us. Teach us to walk in the power of the Spirit, embracing the freedom You have given us. Picture the scene at the festival of shelters—each day, the priest carries water from the pool of Siloam, pours it out upon the altar, and it runs down the temple steps. For seven days, this ritual is repeated, and on the final day, the expectation and hope of the people reach their pinnacle. This act was more than tradition; it was a symbol, a living picture of the Messiah pouring out the Spirit upon God's people, a promise rooted in the Scriptures—“I will pour out water to quench your thirst and irrigate your parched fields… I will pour out my Spirit on your descendants and my blessing on your children” (Isaiah 44:3). And in this very moment, Jesus stands and shouts to the crowds: “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me. Anyone who believes in me may come and drink.” It's as if Jesus steps into the very heart of the ceremony and says, All of this points to me. I am the One you've been waiting for. I am the Source of the Living Water the world so desperately needs. The promise, the hope, and the life the ritual anticipated is found in Him—and received by coming to Him, trusting Him, believing. That's the invitation Christ makes to you and to me: to come to the Source, to drink freely, to allow His Spirit—like streams of living water—to flow within us and out of us into a thirsty, longing world. No longer do we look for life in ceremonies or traditions—good as they may be—because the true fulfillment is Christ Himself, the One in whom all God's promises find their “yes.” We don't come to Jesus for fame, for recognition, or for any fleeting thing. His brothers sought notoriety, but Jesus came, not to be applauded, but to do what the Father asked—to seek, to save, and to invite us into the overflowing life He shares with the Father and the Spirit. His heart is to give, to pour out, so that we too would be channels of living water, blessing, hope, and renewal to the world. So, today, let's come to Him who is the Source. Let's drink deeply of the life He freely gives. Let's allow the living water to flow through us—transforming us, refreshing us, and reaching out to others. That's the prayer I have for my own soul. That's the prayer I have for my family, for my wife, my daughters, my son. And that's the prayer I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Almighty and ever loving God, you have brought us to the light of a new morning. Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit that we may walk this day in peace. Guard our steps from temptation. Send us a textII Corinthians 2 Paul explains that he is postponing his trip to Corinth to avoid causing great sorrow. He writes this letter, urging the church to forgive and restore a repentant member who had previously been disciplined, emphasizing that excessive punishment could lead to despair. Paul reminds them that forgiveness strengthens unity and prevents Satan from exploiting their division. He then describes his ministry, explaining how God guides believers in a triumphant mission to spread the fragrance of Christ everywhere. For those who will be saved, the message is received openly as a welcomed scent, while those who reject it perceive the gospel as the smell of death. For Paul and believers, the responsibility remains to keep sharing the truth sincerely with everyone.  The most essential mission in life is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the world. Many may not listen, but the Word of God is powerful when it touches receptive hearts. Our goal, like that of the apostles, is to genuinely share the Lord with others. Satan's mission is to hinder us. He uses many tactics, one of which is to keep God's people focused on each other in unproductive ways. Sometimes, this means continuing to punish, judge, or remain distant from a Christian long after they have repented. This creates division and serves the adversary's will. We must forgive our fellow believers for any offenses so we can unite in Christ and engage in His important work.  Benevolent God, thank You for Your mercy and forgiveness. Teach us to extend that same grace to others, restoring those who repent with love instead of judgment. Help us to stand firm against the enemy's schemes, uniting in Christ rather than allowing division to take root. May our lives spread the fragrance of Christ, bringing life to those who seek You. Keep our hearts sincere as we share the gospel, not for personal gain but for Your glory. Lead us in triumph, reminding us that we are called to reflect Your love and the truth about Jesus in the world.  Thought Questions: -       Why does Paul emphasize the importance of forgiving a repentant believer, and how important is it to do so fully and with openly shown love? -       How does a lack of forgiveness or affection toward a brother give Satan opportunities? Today's readings take us from the remarkable reign of King Josiah—who discovers the long-lost Book of the Law and leads the people in repentance—to the miraculous moment when Jesus feeds the five thousand and declares Himself the Bread of Life in John 6. We'll reflect on how God's Word can be hidden in plain sight—both in ancient temples and in our own busy lives—and what it means to truly seek, see, and be satisfied by the living Word. Along with thoughtful readings, Hunter will guide us in prayer, encouraging us to find hope, joy, and transformation as we behold Jesus together. So wherever you're tuning in from—whether the Bronx or Bogota—settle in for a time of reflection, scripture, and heartfelt community. Let's get started! TODAY'S DEVOTION: For generations, the Word of God was lost to God's people—even lost right where you would expect to find it, right in the temple. But no one was looking. No one was listening. King Josiah, by God's providence, would eventually find it. When it was read, it broke his heart and drove him to deep repentance. In our reading from John today, we see that once again the Living Word is right where you would expect to find him: among God's people, in the synagogue. And yet, he's hidden in plain sight. Jesus is present, performing miracles, feeding the multitudes, walking on water. All of this points unmistakably to who he truly is—the Bread of Life, the Living Word made flesh. Yet, many still do not see him. They are distracted by their own needs, their own expectations. Their eyes are on the gifts, not on the Giver. The living Word can be lost in the midst of ruins—the ruins of our past, the self-indulgence of our lives. The living Word can even be lost among God's people when we lose sight of him, even when he is right before us. Jesus challenges the crowds because they are looking for provision instead of understanding the signs; they are preoccupied with the food that perishes, instead of seeking the eternal life he offers. He tells them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again.” He invites us not simply to look for what we want, but to see who he is. The one who satisfies, who fills the emptiness within, who gives us himself. It is a call to shift our focus—from ourselves and our anxieties, to him, the One who has come down from heaven for us. We see it in Josiah, who, when confronted with the Word, tears his clothes in repentance, realizing how far the people had strayed. We see it in Peter, who after witnessing Jesus' power and presence, falls to his knees and confesses his own brokenness and need. We find Jesus, the Bread of Life, at the center of it all—our true sustenance, our source of life. Are we seeing the Word of God that is right before us? Are we letting our hearts be satisfied—not by what we can acquire, but by who he is? Are we, like Josiah, like Peter, humbling ourselves before the living Word, turning from what is perishable to what is eternal? May you see the bread that has been hidden in plain sight. May you take it, eat, and be satisfied. That's my prayer for my own soul, for my family—my wife, my daughters, my son—and that's a prayer I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Loving God, you have knit us together in the body of Christ from every nation and tongue. Make us a vessel of your peace today. Make us a vessel of your peace today. Where hatred stirs, let us bear your love. Where wounds run deep, let us be agents of pardon. Where fear grips hearts, may we speak faith. Where sorrow hangs heavy, may we carry joy. Teach us to listen more than we speak. To understand before we are understood. To love. For in surrender we find abundance. In mercy, we discover grace. And in dying, we rise into your life. The random turning for Monday comes to us from 2 Samuel 7: 1-17 The Davidic Convenant again!  This is a 3 part mini-series that the Holy Spirit is pointing out again because it talks about God's permanent contract with Israel, and that not only is He NOT DONE with Israel, but He is currently grafting them all back in to their own tree!   Here's the ULTRA EXCITING PART OF THAT....That happens when the "fullness of the Gentiles" happens, which means when all the Gentiles that are going to convert have now converted, or at least the last couple are finishing up!  Do you realize what that means??  That means, that we are the Bride and the Groom is about ready to come back for His bride and take her back to His Father's house to give her the room that He has "gone to prepare a room for" and so that points to rapture BIGTIME!  The more Jews start converting to Christianity, the closer we are to see 444, the Key of David, turn that lock and open the door for rapture that lets those who are found worthy to enter into the Kingdom of Go for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb! We are HARPOZO'd up then 444, the Key of David is used and the door closes shut behind us!! WOWWWWWW!! Third John is yet another letter in the New Testament written by John, who walked with Jesus as one of his disciples. This short letter carries many examples, both good and bad, that apply to the life of a Christian, and help you to "...not imitate what is evil, but what is good..." And she was willing to admit it. She wasn't too proud to admit that she was thirsty. “Yes, Teacher, give me this water.” She said she knew that she was dying of thirst—that unless something changed, she would die. After five husbands, she was dying inside. But Jesus offers her this living water. Water that truly satisfies. Jesus mercifully offers those who are dying of thirst living water. Relief from the endless cycle of sin and shame. Sin and shame. Sin and shame. Relief from our past. Forgiveness. She says, “he told me everything I've ever done.” And although these words were not written, you could complete the statement with these: And he loved me just the same. It was this radical acceptance and forgiveness from a kind and merciful Messiah that delivered her from her desperate thirst. He knows everything, and he loves us just the same. Are you thirsty? He knows. And you have a kind and merciful Savior who is making a point of pursuing your heart to give you the water that will quench your desperate thirst. So drink well of that water. Remember that your Messiah is kind and he pursues your heart, knowing everything you've ever done and loving you just the same. Live in the light and joy of him and drink well. That's the prayer that I have for my own soul. That's a prayer that I have for my family, for my wife, my daughters, my son. And that's a prayer that I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Jesus is my shepherd. You have called me by my name into the life of the beloved. Here in the stillness, I remember that I am not alone. I belong to you and to the great communion of saints and sinners held together in your love. Send us a textII Corinthians 1Paul begins his second letter to the Corinthians by praising God as the source of all comfort during times of affliction. He shares his own sufferings, explaining that trials teach reliance on God rather than on oneself. Paul assures the Corinthians that just as they participate in suffering, they will also receive God's comfort. He recalls a life-threatening experience in Asia, where he “despaired of life” but was delivered through God's power. Paul emphasizes the importance of prayer, illustrating how the appeals to God by saints contributed to his deliverance. He then defends his integrity, stating that his words of exhortation and sacrificial actions are sincere and guided by Christ. Paul concludes by affirming that God has sealed believers with the Holy Spirit, ensuring their eternal security in Christ.Our God is the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. He cares for His children and feels for those enduring trials and losses. He offers eternal comfort through a relationship with Jesus Christ. God also provides comfort through His power to improve circumstances over time, as well as through the support and love of fellow believers. We can face all trials with confidence if we trust in God's abiding grace and the power of prayer to seek His mercy and assistance. To cultivate true hope, Paul taught the people about the loving Father, the reigning Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit within us. This remains the most essential and transformative message we can share with others.  Mighty Father, we thank You for being the God of all comfort who strengthens us in every trial. When we face suffering, help us rely on You rather than ourselves. Remind us that just as Christ suffered, we too will encounter hardships, but through Him, we also receive untouchable and abiding hope. Teach us to share the comfort You provide with others, so we may encourage those in need. Strengthen our faith and remind us that Your promises are always true in Christ. Seal our hearts with Your Spirit and guide us to walk in trust and gratitude daily. Thought Questions: -       What does it mean to say your Father is the “God of all comfort”? John would learn this about Jesus: he knew what was in each person's heart. Nothing could surprise him, nothing hidden from his gaze. And rather than being undone or destroyed by this exposure, something entirely different happens. With Jesus, when we come to understand that he knows us fully and still loves us, it's the start of something brand new—a heart made new, a life transformed. This is the beginning of God's work in us: to create something beautiful, to renovate our hearts into something truly amazing. When we realize his love for us exactly as we are, that realization is what sets us free from shame and fear. It's what enables us to live in the light, to trust him with our vulnerabilities, and to allow his Spirit to do the work of making us new. May God convince us more and more that he sees us, he knows us, and he deeply loves us. Let that reality begin something altogether new in you today. That's a prayer I have for my own soul. It's the prayer I have for my family, for my wife, my daughters, my son. And it's the prayer I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Gracious and everlasting God, you have brought us through the shadow of night into the promise of a new day. You go before us with your mercy. He encourages them to participate in the collection for the Jerusalem church, outlining a systematic and generous weekly approach to giving. He then shares his travel plans, expressing a desire to visit Corinth if the Lord allows, and mentions Timothy and Apollos, urging the church to welcome and support them. Believers are challenged to stand firm in their faith, act courageously, and do everything with a spirit of love. Paul acknowledges the contributions of faithful individuals like Stephanas and his household, urging the church to honor those who serve. The conclusion warns those who might abandon their love for the Lord, while also announcing grace for those who remain steadfast in God's love. A consistent theme throughout the New Testament is charity from believers to alleviate the burdens of their fellow believers. The church in Corinth set aside funds each week to ensure they could assist the brethren in Jerusalem at the right time. This practice continues in churches today, and this text serves as a key passage explaining why we collect contributions on the first day of the week to be ready to help needy Christians wherever they may be. Disciples helping and encouraging one another, whether through monetary support, spiritual instruction, or simply listening, is evident throughout the first-century church. Whether through Sunday contributions or individual acts of service, employ us to assist Your people with their needs. Discipline us to be strong in our resolve for Your purposes, filled with love toward everyone we encounter in Jesus' name.
