As we launch into the dramatic events of Exodus, we witness the resilience of the Israelites under oppression and the miraculous birth and rescue of Moses. Psalm 88 gives voice to raw lament and desperate hope, while Luke 21 records Jesus' words about faith, endurance, and the coming of God's kingdom amid life's uncertainty. Through reflection, prayer, and encouragement, Hunter reminds us to seek the Living Word—Jesus—each day, especially when the world feels shaky and unpredictable. Join us for thoughtful reading, honest prayer, and inspiration to keep moving forward on the journey through the Bible. Let's step into a new day together, grounded in God's enduring love and faithfulness. TODAY'S DEVOTION: TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen. Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you. Bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit on all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen. And now Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. And where there is sadness, Joy. Oh Lord grant that I might not seek to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in the giving that we receive, in the pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in the dying that we are born unto eternal life. Amen And now as our Lord has taught us we are bold to pray... Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Loving God, we give you thanks for restoring us in your image. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to the Daily Radio Bible podcast! In today's episode, Hunter welcomes listeners on January 20th and invites us to continue our journey through the Bible. Whether it's your first day tuning in or you've been part of this community for years, you're in the right place to read through the Scriptures and experience their transformative power. This episode takes us through Genesis chapters 49 and 50, Psalm 8, and Luke 20—unpacking the blessings of Jacob over his sons, Joseph's faithful leadership and legacy in Egypt, the majesty of God in creation, and powerful teachings and parables from Jesus about authority, faith, and the kingdom of God. Not only will you hear the Word read and reflected on, but Hunter also leads a sincere time of prayer and speaks about the importance of receiving God's blessing in your life. You'll be reminded that you are uniquely made, loved, and created for a purpose, as you continue opening your heart to God each day. Join us today as we reflect, pray, and walk together on this journey—knowing that, above all, you are loved. TODAY'S DEVOTION: You were made for blessing. Have you ever been blessed? Has anyone ever spoken words of blessing and life on behalf of God over your life? Has anyone ever spoken over you about God's design for you, his purposes yet to be fulfilled by him in you? Has anyone ever blessed you? You, me—we are made for that kind of blessing. You were created to be blessed. Our destiny is somehow wrapped up in this thing called blessing. When words of blessing fail to reach our ears or our life, there are hard consequences. We are restless until we find that blessing from God, that blessing that you were made for. Many of you may be able to say that you have received those kinds of words. You have been blessed in this way. People have spoken words on behalf of God over you. They have recognized what God is doing in your life, how he has made you so uniquely, what he has called and created you for. And those words have made all the difference. But I'd guess that many, if not most of you, have not heard or received those words of blessing. You need to know that you were made for it, that God wants you to hear those words of life spoken over you by him. He wants you to know how uniquely you have been made, how important you are, that you matter, that you have a purpose. That he loves you and desires to bless you. He wants you to know it. My prayer is that as you meet him, as we come to him each day through the Word, as you invite him to open your heart and mind and eyes in your everyday life, you will hear him speak. You will hear his words of blessing over you, hear him speak deeply into your life and know that you are loved. That's the prayer that I have for my own soul. That's the prayer that I have for my family, for my wife and my daughters and my son. And that's the prayer that I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to the January 19th, 2024 episode of the Daily Radio Bible! In today's journey, Hunter invites us to step into the pages of Scripture—not just to read words, but to meet the living Word, Jesus himself. Together, we explore Genesis 47–48, Psalm 10, and Luke 19, witnessing how God weaves his story through famine and blessing, through honest prayers and powerful parables. You'll hear Hunter as he reflects on the generosity of the King in Jesus' parable, reminding us that we are entrusted with gifts and opportunities—not because of what we've earned, but because of God's abundant kindness. Through thoughtful prayer and heartfelt encouragement, you'll be challenged to remember your identity as one deeply loved and called to invest God's riches in the world. So grab your Bible, quiet your heart, and join Hunter as we journey together, point our eyes to Jesus, and discover just how loved we truly are. TODAY'S DEVOTION: Do you see it? Two of the three servants described in this parable saw it. They saw a gift. They saw an opportunity. They were chosen by the king to steward his riches. They had no riches of their own. They had the opportunity to be made wealthy by someone else's wealth. They would be honored by the king, and that honor would be multiplied simply by investing money that wasn't even theirs, simply by participating in the gifts that were given to them by the king. They harvested riches where they did not plant. They were given cities that they had no hand in building. That is the kind of king that we serve. He is a generous and loving king. So much so that he blesses us with things that we haven't earned and don't deserve. He has chosen us to invest his riches, and then he multiplies our honor even beyond that. What a generous, kind, loving king he is. Two of the three servants saw it. One servant of the king got it all wrong. His response to the generous king was, "Master, I hid your money and I kept it safe. I was afraid because you're a hard man to deal with, taking things that aren't yours, harvesting crops that you don't plant." This guy is deceived about who the master is—what the master's heart is truly like—and who he himself is. He has forgotten that he is a servant and that he has a responsibility to that king. That's his role. That's who he is. He has forgotten his identity. Apart from the king, he has no riches and he's forgotten this and missed the loving, generous heart of the king. Our King wants to reward, honor, and multiply his blessings upon us. May we invest our loving king's riches because we have seen his heart, because we've been reminded of who we are. That's the prayer that I have for my own soul. And that's a prayer that I have for my family, for my wife and my daughters and my son. And that's the prayer that I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to the Daily Radio Bible! In this episode, Hunter invites us into the story of Joseph and his family's dramatic reunion, exploring Genesis 44–46 and Luke 18. Together, we'll journey through the emotional moments when Joseph reveals himself to his brothers in Egypt, Jacob uproots his family in faith, and God's promises unfold in unexpected ways. Hunter reflects on the power of perseverance in prayer and encourages us to "never give up," drawing inspiration from Jesus' teachings about persistence, humility, and trust in God's faithfulness. Get ready for heartfelt scripture readings, practical spiritual encouragement, and prayers to start your day with hope. Whether you're seeking guidance, comfort, or simply a daily rhythm in God's word, you're in the right place—so let's dive in together. TODAY'S DEVOTION: Never give up. That's a popular sentiment these days. It's used in sports, in business; it's found on t-shirts and bumper stickers. Giving up is easy. I've done it way too much in my life. I've given up on goals, I've given up on hopes, I've given up on relationships. I'm sad to say that I've given up on way too much that I needed to hold on to in this life. And I've also held on to things I should have given up long ago—resentments, anger, my need to be right, my need for approval. I've held on to these things way too long. Maybe you can relate. It seems like the trick is to give up on the wrong things and never give up on the right things. In Luke 18, Jesus says that we should keep praying and never give up. Prayer seems to be connected to our ability to hold on to the right things. Prayer is a two-way conversation; it's relational. We share our hearts, our fears, our failures, our life with Him. And He shares His life, His word, His heart, His hopes for us. It's a two-way thing. God is speaking to us in prayer, and we are listening to His voice and His leading. We hear from Him, we respond, and we worship Him. Without this relationship, giving up is inevitable. It's just way too easy. But when we pray, we are given the strength to hold on, to endure, to never give up. In today's reading, we hear Jacob listening to God speak to him, late at night, in a place called Beersheba. The last time God spoke to Jacob in Beersheba was many years ago, when he was preparing to leave home, fleeing from his brother. He laid his head on a rock and saw a stairway to heaven with the Lord at the top, and God promised him the land and descendants as numerous as the dust of the earth. Now, years later, God comes to him once again, and again Jacob is having to leave the land God had promised to him. It didn't look like the promise would be fulfilled anytime soon—Jacob was headed in the opposite direction, would even die in a different land without seeing the promise fulfilled. But out in the distance, too far for Jacob to see, God was bringing about the fulfillment of all He had promised. Jacob needed to keep on praying and never give up. God told him that Joseph, his son, would be with him to the end. For us, someone even greater than Joseph is with us—not Jacob's son but God's Son, who will be with us to the very end. Hebrews 11:13 reminds us that all these people died still believing what God had promised them. They did not receive what was promised, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed it. So keep praying. Never give up. God is faithful. If we live a life of faith, a life of prayer, a life in relationship with Him, then we will have the strength we need to never give up. He who promised is faithful; He will fulfill all His promises. We are the recipients of the promise made to Jacob. That promise that Jacob never got to see with his earthly eyes—God has fulfilled. Most of you aren't from the nation of Israel, yet you are the fulfillment of that promise. You have been included in the blessing. So let's keep praying. Let's never give up. God's Son is with us, and He will be with us to the very end. He will close our eyes, and He will wake us up. Hallelujah. That's a prayer I have for my own soul. That's a prayer I have for my family, for you, and for our world. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to the Daily Radio Bible, where Hunter and Heather invite you on a journey through Scripture—one day at a time. In today's episode, we travel through Genesis 42 and 43, Psalm 5, and Luke 17. As Hunter reminds us, the heart of this podcast isn't just reading through the Bible in a year—it's about seeking Jesus, the One who gives us life. We'll hear the dramatic story of Joseph's encounter with his brothers in Egypt, David's desperate and hope-filled prayer in the Psalms, and Jesus' challenging teachings in Luke about forgiveness, faith, and the coming of God's kingdom. With heartfelt reflection and guided prayer, Heather helps us break free from the routine of "business as usual" and open our eyes to God's presence, grace, and invitation into His kingdom—right now, in the midst of our ordinary days. So grab your Bible, settle in, and join this thoughtful community as we listen, reflect, and pray together. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, know this: you are loved, and we're glad you're here. TODAY'S DEVOTION: For most people in these stories, life just moves on—business as usual. Even in the midst of their struggles, their uncleanness, or tending to their everyday tasks, they go about their lives almost on autopilot. Heather points out how we, like those people in scripture, can become blinded by the routine, missing what is right in front of us. Life can feel like it creeps along day by day, as Shakespeare said in Macbeth: "Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow creeps in this petty pace from day to day…Life's but a walking shadow...full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." When we are trapped in the ordinary, we can easily miss seeing Jesus, the One who is life Himself, standing right before us. But the invitation today is to see differently. It is to break free from the endless, blinding loop of business as usual and to notice the kingdom of God breaking in—even today. Hunter reminds us that it wasn't in the crowd bustling about that found the kingdom, but the one leper who returned to Jesus, falling at His feet in gratitude. That's where the kingdom life is discovered: at the feet of Jesus. He is the King standing among us—the King who has broken into our world, offering cleansing, renewal, and life right now to all who will come. Are you ready to see Him? Are you ready to step out of the business-as-usual mindset and approach Jesus as that one thankful leper did? The Kingdom is here; the King is here, offering His life to you today. Heather and Hunter pray, for themselves, for their families, and for you, that we would come to Jesus, respond to His invitation, and live now—today—as citizens of His kingdom, receiving His love, peace, and freedom. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to the Daily Radio Bible with Hunter and Heather! In today's episode, Hunter guides us through the dramatic story of Joseph in Genesis chapters 39 to 41—his rise and fall in Egypt, from hardship and injustice to a position of incredible responsibility. We also explore the powerful parables of Jesus in Luke 16, where themes of faithfulness, money, and eternal priorities challenge our hearts and minds. After hearing God's word, Hunter offers thoughtful reflections on living with wisdom, prioritizing faith over wealth, and arranging our lives in light of eternity. Heather then leads us into a time of prayer, lifting up our needs and hopes as we ask God to guide our day. Whether you're following a one-year Bible reading plan or seeking daily encouragement, this episode promises time in Scripture, personal reflections, and heartfelt prayer. Settle in and let the words of life draw you closer to the One who loves you most. TODAY'S DEVOTION: Are you persuaded that there's more? Are you convinced that what we see in this world isn't all there is? That's the question that Jesus poses to us today. In his teaching, he warns about the seductive power of wealth and the way it can blind us, casting a soul-numbing spell and fooling us into thinking that this present life is all that matters. You can't have an affair with money and still be married to God. You can't love both. Jesus says, "No one can serve two masters, for you will hate one and love the other. You'll be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money." Jesus gives us the odd story of the shrewd manager, saying the trick is to use our resources wisely—not for self, but for the sake of others, for friendship, for eternity. "Use your worldly resources to benefit others and make friends. Then when your earthly possessions are gone, they will welcome you to your eternal home." The connection is clear in the parable of Lazarus and the rich man: it's not the riches that mattered, but where the heart was anchored. In his poverty, Lazarus was shrewd—he trusted God, he made friends in the world to come. He lived a life of faith, knowing his deep need for God. We too must be shrewd, arranging our lives by faith, loving God more than money, holding onto him in trust and dependence. One of the most tragic things would be to come to the end of this life and realize we missed it all, blinded by pride, possessions, and successes—making this life all about us, failing to heed the words of Moses, the prophets, and the teachings of Jesus. Instead, let's love God more than money. When we do, we'll find the home, the joy, the life for which we were made. May we be people who see clearly, who love shrewdly, and who hold onto God above all things. That's a prayer I have for my own soul, for my family, and that is a prayer that I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to Daily Radio Bible! In today's episode, Hunter invites us into a daily rhythm of Scripture, reflection, and prayer as we journey through Genesis 37–38, Psalm 7, and Luke 15. We discover the story of Joseph's betrayal, Judah and Tamar's saga, David's prayer for protection, and Jesus' powerful parables about finding what—and who—is lost. Through heartfelt commentary and guided prayer, Hunter explores themes of mercy, compassion, and the unfailing love of the Father. Whether you're seeking encouragement, wisdom, or a moment of spiritual connection, this episode is a gentle reminder that you are seen, valued, and loved. Settle in as we open our hearts to the transforming love of Christ together. TODAY'S DEVOTION: Come on home. The younger brother in Jesus' story decides it's time to come home. He's lived life on his own terms, and it hasn't worked out so well. When he returns, he's greeted with a kiss, a ring, a coat, a party. He's not only found his father, but he's found his father's heart. There's celebration. There's restoration. But there's another brother, too—the older brother. He needs to come home just as much. Yet we don't find him inside the house. He's close by, out working in the field, slaving away, trying to achieve, trying so hard. But he fails to see that home has been his all along. He misses who his father truly is. He won't come inside. The father pleads with him, but he's caught up in his own pain: "All these years I have slaved for you and never once refused to do a single thing you told me to. And all this time, you never gave me even one young goat for a feast with my friends." That hurts. Maybe because we can feel it ourselves sometimes, working, striving, thinking that joy and acceptance must be earned. But the father's response tells us everything: "Look, dear son, you have always stayed by me, and everything I have is yours." This home, this heart, these riches—have always been yours. They're a gift. No one is treating you like a slave, so stop seeing yourself that way. You haven't had to earn or perform or do anything other than be my child. All you had to do was receive and know the Father's heart, which delights in a son—delights in you—and delights when what was lost is found. So step inside the house. Partake in the party that your good Father has always had for you. Come on home. Let your heart know and receive this truth: you are not a slave—you are a son or a daughter. The Father's heart is yours. The joy is yours. Join the celebration. That's the prayer I have for my own soul. That's the prayer I have for my family. That's the prayer I have for you. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to the Daily Radio Bible podcast for January 14th, 2026! In today's episode, Hunter invites us to journey together through some pivotal passages in the Bible, starting with dramatic events in Genesis—where betrayal, family conflict, and God's unwavering faithfulness take center stage. We witness the aftermath of Dinah's tragic story, Jacob's return to Bethel, God's renewed covenant, and the legacy of Esau's descendants. Then, we turn to the Gospel of Luke, where Jesus challenges religious pride, encourages humility, and invites everyone—especially the overlooked—to God's grand banquet. Along the way, Hunter reflects on how these stories point us toward the transforming love and grace of Jesus, reminding us that we're called to lay aside our pride, embrace God's invitations, and live with self-giving love. The episode closes with heartfelt prayers and encouragement to walk in humility, gratitude, and the assurance that we are deeply loved. So grab your Bible, open your heart, and let's step into today's reading and reflection together. TODAY'S DEVOTION: Our arrogance and pride will inevitably put us at the head of the table. And putting ourselves at the head of the table will inevitably lead to our humiliation and our ruin. That's what this Pharisee and these teachings in Luke 14 point out. And inevitably, when we make this life about us, we miss out altogether on the party that God has prepared. That's what it seems to tell us here in this parable of the banquet. There's nothing wrong with having land or oxen, having a wife. There's nothing bad about these things. These are blessings. These are—these are and can be very good. But when they become ultimate things, they blind us to the gift that God is offering us. Because they become idols. And idols inevitably blind us. They fool us into thinking that we are the main character in this movie, that this life is my project, it's my story. We imagine that we sit at the head of the table in our own movie. Our spouse, our parents, our children—they are the supporting cast. We can begin to think that maybe it's all about us. And this posture in life will lead to a rude awakening someday. That's why Jesus says that we have to hate all of it in comparison to our love for God, because in the end, it will rob us of life. And the prayer of my own heart today is that I will see the richness and the reward, the party that has been prepared for those who receive and participate, who repent and believe that every good and perfect gift comes down from God, the Father of Lights, that he is the Source, and that every human being, no matter how humble they might be, have been invited into his very life. The prayer of my own soul is that I will sit there at the foot of the table with great joy at the life that I have in him; that I will learn the ways of self-giving love and follow him. That's a prayer that I have for my family too—for my wife and my daughters and my son. And that's a prayer that I have for you. Have you experienced discrepancies between your spiritual life and what you read in Acts? While the early church was unique in many ways, believers still have the same Spirit that we read about in Scripture. In this episode, Emma Dotter and Kylen Perry, Watermark's Executive Director of The Porch, explain who that Spirit is and how he works in our lives and churches today. Then Emma Dotter and Pastor and Author, Kirk Freeman, spend time unpacking the implications of Acts 2, a passage that originally gave unity and clarity to the early church rather than the division it causes now. One Year Bible Podcast: Join Hunter and Heather Barnes on the Daily Radio Bible, a daily Bible‑in‑a‑year podcast with 20‑minute Scripture readings, Christ‑centered devotion, and guided prayer. This daily Bible reading and devotional invites you to live as a citizen of Jesus' kingdom, reconciled, renewed, and deeply loved. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to the Daily Radio Bible podcast! In today's episode, recorded on January 12th, 2026, Hunter invites us to spend time together in the scriptures, guiding us through Genesis chapters 29 and 30 as well as Luke chapter 12. Together, we witness the stories of Jacob, Rachel, and Leah—their longing, striving, and ultimately, the ways God's blessing breaks into their lives not through their own efforts, but by His grace. As we move into the teachings of Jesus, Hunter reflects on the power of a rich relationship with God, urging us to seek His blessing instead of relying on our own striving or the approval of others. Through prayer and thoughtful meditation, this episode reminds us that God cares deeply for each of us, just as He provides for sparrows and lilies. Join us for a time of reading, reflection, and prayer, and let the peace and joy of God's presence become your strength for today. TODAY'S DEVOTION: TODAY'S DEVOTION: Whose blessing will you see and receive? In today's readings, we're confronted with an important question: will you force things and be a fool, or will you trust, rest, receive, and believe? There's this invitation to examine whose blessing we're truly seeking. Is it our own, through striving and scheming like Jacob, Rachel, and Leah? Or is it, as Jesus tells us, the blessing that comes from God—a blessing that leads to a rich relationship with him? The rich fool in Jesus' parable thought that security and blessing came from his own plans, his bigger barns, from storing up for himself and relying on his own resources. But Jesus reminds us, as he does his disciples, that blessing doesn't come from our hands; it comes from God's. When we seek blessing elsewhere—whether in possessions, in the approval of others, or our own ability to manipulate circumstances—we end up empty, left wanting and still searching. In the end, it's only God who can give us the true inheritance, the true blessing our souls crave. Jesus invites us away from anxious striving and fear. He says, "Look at the ravens… look at the lilies." He points to the way God provides for what he has made, how much more for us. The real blessing is not in the abundance of things, but in a rich relationship with God—a life lived trusting his love, resting in his care, and seeking the kingdom above all else. And so the call for us today is simple, but profound: let us seek his blessing by faith. Let's rest in the deep, deep love of Jesus, believing the good news that, in him, we have been embraced, forgiven, and made God's own. When we live in this reality, that blessing begins to look like a life of peace, joy, and trust—a rich relationship with the Lord who loves us. That's a prayer that I have for my own soul. That's a prayer that I have for my family—for my wife, my daughters, and my son. And that's a prayer that I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. In today's episode, dated January 11th, Hunter, your Bible Reading Coach and brother, guides us through a rich journey in Scripture, diving into Genesis chapters 27 and 28, Psalm 4, and Luke chapter 11. As always, Hunter invites us to keep things simple: spending time in God's Word, letting it shape and transform us, with the ultimate goal of experiencing the love of Jesus. This episode traces the dramatic story of Jacob and Esau, the struggle for blessing and birthright, and God's faithfulness in Jacob's life—even as he journeys away from home. We hear David's cry for help in Psalm 4, and receive Jesus' wisdom in Luke, including His teaching on prayer, the goodness of God as our Father, warnings against religious hypocrisy, and encouragement to seek God persistently. Through heartfelt reflections, Hunter challenges the lies of separation and legalism, pointing us to a God who is close, present, and loving—not distant or angry. The episode closes with prayer, practical encouragement, and an invitation to deeper engagement with Scripture every day. So, whether you're new or a longtime listener, settle in and let today's Scriptures and reflections draw you closer to Jesus—the One who offers unconditional love and the gift of Himself, the Holy Spirit. Let's walk together, step by step, in this daily journey of faith! TODAY'S DEVOTION: He's angry. These teachers are a bunch of fakes. He's angry because these teachers of His Word ought to be offering people something real, something true. He's angry because they're a bunch of religious, self-righteous, self-serving hypocrites, and Jesus is none too happy about it. They're telling lies about God, and the main one is a lie of separation. God is separate, he's distant, and he's angry. He's angry until you perform the right religious duties, until you wash your hands the right way, until you wash your cup in just the right way, until you give the right amount of everything that you own in just the right way. Even the herbs in your garden and a thousand other things like this were all used as a way of ensuring that you knew that God was separate from you, that he was angry with you. And this message of separation served these guys well. They leveraged it for coercion and control, for power, prestige, and money. They used this lie to become important in the eyes of those with power. They liked to walk around with their flowing robes in the marketplaces. They liked when important people, powerful people, recognized them and honored them. All the while the people suffer. Jesus looked at this and declared it hogwash. He called them hypocrites, snakes, vipers. In effect, Jesus says, you say that you speak for God, but you don't know God. If you knew God, you would know his justice, not yours, which is so rarely just. You would know his love—his love which declares that God is not separate. Rather, God is here. He is with us, and God is for all people. He is wanting his people and his priests who use his name to tell the truth, to demonstrate the love and justice of God, to live in the reality of the God who is with us, the God who is their present king, because it's true and the world so desperately needs it. If you read the Bible and you're left with a God who is separate, distant, petty, and angry, more concerned with how much turmeric you tithe than he is about you loving your neighbor and knowing that you are loved, then you've been sold a lie and you have completely missed the point of who he is. Because the point of his word is to show us that God is for us, not against us. That God is good. That God is not petty, but abounding in grace and mercy. That God is present and he is full of love. This was the message of all the prophets. God. God is with you, people. Wake up. Wake up to the God who is with you. He's angry that religion has become a way to crush people's spirits with unbearable religious demands rather than something that sets them free and makes them new. Jesus begins this reading in Luke by telling us that God is something completely different than what the Pharisees are selling. Jesus says God's not like that. God is good. When you ask him for good things, he doesn't give you scorpions and snakes. He's a good father. Don't let circumstances and the seeming delay in God's response to your need dissuade you from the truth of his kindness. Like the man who's knocking and seeking and asking for bread, God comes through. So keep asking, keep knocking, keep seeking. God's not angry with you. Don't let others or the circumstances prevent you from knowing the kind of father that you really have. Your Father knows what it's like to give his children good gifts. Earthly fathers know what it's like to do that. How much more will our good Father give good gifts if we ask for them? Jesus is angry at the evil in this world that keeps people from knowing and experiencing his loving kindness. God's not angry with you. What's the gift the good Father is giving? He's giving himself. He's giving the Holy Spirit. How much more will your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him? He is offering himself to be with us and in us. Pray that God will renew your mind so that you will no longer see your Father as separate from you and angry with you, but rather as good and kind. He wants to give you everything. May your soul, may my soul, may we know this well today. That's my prayer. And nourishing us with spiritual food, now send us forth as forgiven people, healed and renewed, that we may proclaim your love to the world, and continue in the risen life of Christ. Amen. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to the Daily Radio Bible! In today's episode, join your host and Bible reading coach, Hunter, as we journey together through Genesis 25–26, Psalm 6, and Luke 10. Whether you're brand new or a longtime listener, today's readings invite us to discover the transformative power of scripture—reminding us that more than anything, our greatest hope is to truly know that God is with us, and that God is love. As we encounter the stories of Abraham's descendants, listen to David's honest cries in Psalm 6, and hear Jesus send out the 72 disciples in Luke, Hunter unpacks the "secret" that fills Christ and the Father with joy: the invitation to live a "with God" life anchored in Jesus' name—not in our own strength or resources, but in the blessing of His presence. Through personal reflection and heartfelt prayer, Hunter encourages us to rest in this joyful, transforming truth and to let it shape our everyday lives. So, settle in for a thoughtful time of Bible reading, prayer, and encouragement—a time to invest in your soul and be reminded that, above all else, you are loved. TODAY'S DEVOTION: Jesus is telling a secret, and he is thrilled at the thought of it. In Luke 10, verse 21, we find Jesus filled with joy through the Holy Spirit, saying, "O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and revealing them to the childlike. Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way." This secret fills both the Father and the Son with great joy. So what is this secret? The secret is Jesus himself. He is the way to God, the way to life. He is what every heart is looking for. Jesus is the King, and he is proclaiming the kingdom. Jesus is the secret to it all. It's not the law, not traditions or piety, but living in the name, the power, and the presence of God. The God who is with us and for us. When Jesus sends out the 72, notice he tells them not to take anything with them—no bag, no money, no staff, nothing but his name. The only thing they are equipped with is the name of Jesus. The "with God life" isn't about our resources, our money, our provisions, but only about him. They are to go with his name, his message, his blessing, and his presence to the world. This is the "with God life"—a life of utter reliance on God, of being available to his presence and his agenda. When we allow him to lead, we end up fulfilling the law, becoming people of mercy, like the Good Samaritan. We participate with Christ; his power works in and through us. We're not the hero—Christ in us is. That's the secret: his presence in you, which Paul says is your hope of glory. Let's live in the reality of Christ in us. Let's awaken to the wonder of stepping out into the day simply in his name—not striving, not pushing or fretting, but knowing our real life is hidden with God in Christ. Our truest self is found in learning more and more to love God, our neighbor, and ourselves. Today, walk with him, eyes and ears wide open to his presence in you. Let him lead, and let him fill you with his joy. That's the prayer that I have for my own soul. That's the prayer that I have for my family, for my wife, for my daughters, for my son. On either side of the river stands the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit and offering healing to the nations. There will be no more curse, and God's servants will see His face and reign with Him forever. The angel tells John that these words are trustworthy and true. Jesus declares that He is coming soon and bringing His reward and judgment with Him. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last. The book ends with a final invitation to come and freely receive the water of life in the name of the coming Lord Jesus and to enjoy His unmatched grace. God offers us the water of life, flowing from His throne, freely and without cost. The tree of life brings healing, and we will see God's face and serve Him forever. This beautiful promise calls us to live with the enduring hope of reigning forever and ever. Jesus came in judgment against Rome in the past, and He is coming again; we must be ready. Our lives should reflect the light of Christ and the truth of His word. We are called to obey, to worship, and to invite others to come and receive this life. As we wait, let us live faithfully, trusting in the One who is coming again and joyfully knowing His grace is with us. Heavenly Father, we praise You for the promise of eternal life and the hope of seeing Your face. Thank You for the river of life and the healing that flows from Your throne. We long for the day when the last curse will be gone and everything will be made new. Help us to obey Your word and remain faithful as we wait for Christ, the Alpha and the Omega. Fill our hearts with worship, and may we invite others to receive Your gift of life. Come, Lord Jesus. Prepare us for Your final return with joy and hope. Thought Questions: Do you long for a life without the curse of sin or the danger of darkness? How important is heaven to you, and how are you showing it? Jesus came in judgment against Rome many centuries ago. Do you believe He is coming again one final time, and how does that affect you? When you read Scripture, do you hear Christ calling you? How will you come to Jesus, abandon sin, and experience His grace today?

The holy city, the new Jerusalem, comes down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride for her husband. A loud voice declares that God now dwells with His people. He will wipe away every tear, and there will be no more death, mourning, crying, or pain. God declares, “I am making everything new.” He promises the water of life to the thirsty and an inheritance to the faithful. The cowardly and wicked will face the second death. An angel shows John the radiant beauty of the new Jerusalem, with its gates, foundations, and streets of gold. God's presence fills the city, and the Lamb is the lamp that illuminates all things. God reveals a future filled with beauty, peace, and unshakable hope. The new heaven and new earth will be free from death, sorrow, pain, and tears. God Himself will live among His people, restoring perfect fellowship. This promise is not only a future hope but a present call to live with purpose. We are to seek holiness, love truth, and walk in faithfulness. Jesus is the one who makes all things new and offers the water of life to the thirsty. Our identity, hope, and future are found in Him. While the world around us may fade, His promises remain. Let us live as people of the new creation, trusting God's word and preparing our hearts for eternity in His presence. Exalted God, we praise You for the promise of a new heaven and a new earth, where You will dwell with Your people forever. Thank You for wiping away every tear and ending pain, sorrow, and death. Help us live with hope and holiness as we look forward to that day. We thank You for Christ, the Lamb who made this future possible through His sacrifice. He is our light and our life. Keep our hearts focused on what is eternal. Teach us to live each day in joyful anticipation, faithful to Your call and free from destructive sinfulness. Thought Questions: Whether the New Jerusalem is the present church or the eternal heaven, what kind of people will never be allowed into it? If you want to be the bride of the Lamb in the glorious city, what are the moral and faithful choices you need to be making today? What do you imagine it will be like to live in a place where the illuminated Lamb replaces the sun? How can such images motivate you to faith?

He seizes the dragon, who is the devil, and binds him for a thousand years, preventing him from deceiving the nations. During this time, those who are faithful to Christ, even unto death, reign with Him. After the thousand years, Satan is released for a short time and gathers nations for battle. Fire from heaven consumes them, and the devil is cast into the lake of fire, where the beast and false prophet already are. Then the final judgment occurs. The dead are judged according to their deeds as recorded in the books. Anyone not found in the book of life is also thrown into the lake of fire. God's justice is complete and eternal. God will bring all things to justice, and no evil will escape His judgment. Satan's defeat shows that his power is temporary and limited. Those who gave their lives for Christ are honored and will reign with Him, proving that faithfulness has eternal value. The final judgment is both sobering and hopeful. Books are opened, and each person is judged according to their works. Only those whose names are written in the book of life will enter eternal life with God. This truth calls us to live intentionally, choosing righteousness over compromise. We are invited to trust fully in Christ and walk in obedience. His victory is certain, and our hope is secure when our lives belong to Him. Incredible Father, You are the righteous Judge over all the earth. We praise You for the victory over Satan and the coming end of his deception. You have shown that evil will not prevail, and all who follow Christ will reign with Him in glory. Help us live boldly in faith, knowing that our choices matter and that judgment is real. Search our hearts and guide us to walk in holiness. May our names be found in the book of life, sealed by Your grace. We will trust Your justice, rest in Your promises, and live each day prepared for eternity. Thought Questions: Details in this chapter are often debated. But what is its point? Even when it looks like Satan has power, what do we know about God? Whether we reign with Christ now, or will do so in eternity, or both, how do the assurances of victory with Him control your life? Is your name in the book of life, assuring that you will avoid the lake of fire? How do you know, and what does this confidence do for you?

Thanks!Revelation 19 A great multitude in heaven praises God, declaring that His judgments are true and just because He has condemned the great prostitute who corrupted the earth. The smoke from her destruction rises forever, and the twenty-four elders and four living creatures worship God. A voice calls on all of God's servants to praise Him. Then heaven opens, and a white horse appears. Its rider is called Faithful and True, wearing many crowns and a robe dipped in blood. He leads the armies of heaven and strikes down the nations with a sharp sword. He rules with justice and treads the winepress of God's wrath. The beast and the false prophet are captured and thrown alive into the lake of fire. The kings of the earth are defeated by the word of Christ. God's justice and victory are on full display. The praise of heaven reminds us that evil will not win, and God's judgments are right and true. Christ is revealed as the Faithful and True rider, leading heaven's armies with power and righteousness. He does not come in weakness but in glory, bringing justice to the nations. We are His bride, clothed in righteous acts in His honor. The defeat of the beast and false prophet shows that no enemy of God will stand. We are not waiting for victory; we are living in the full assurance of it. Let us worship with joy, follow Christ with loyalty, and live with courage, knowing the King of kings reigns forever. Amazing God, we praise You for revealing Jesus as Faithful and True, the King of kings and Lord of lords. He comes in glory, riding in righteousness, bringing justice to the nations. We thank You that His victory is certain and His name is above all names. Help us to follow Him with pure hearts and bold faith. Teach us to worship with joy, to live in holiness, and to trust in His power. May we never forget that He reigns forever. Strengthen us to stand firm, knowing that the Lamb who was slain now rules in glory. Thought Questions: The church is the bride of Christ, adorned in righteous deeds in His honor. How can this imagery help as you excel in good works? Do you often picture Jesus in power: on a white horse, with flaming eyes, and a sword of wrath in His mouth? How can this be helpful? Satan and all who live in sin will be thrown into the lake of fire. How does this motivate you to flee from ungodliness passionately?
Reach Out: Please include your email and I will get back to you. Thanks!Revelation 18 An angel descends from heaven with great authority, and the earth is illuminated by his glory. He declares the fall of Babylon, calling it a dwelling for demons and a prison for every unclean spirit. Babylon is condemned for her pride, immorality, and corrupt influence over the nations. A voice from heaven urges God's people to come out of her so they will not share in her sins or plagues. Her destruction comes quickly, and kings, merchants, and sailors mourn her fall because she once brought them great wealth and power. Yet no one can save her. Babylon is thrown down with violence, never to rise again. Heaven rejoices, for God's judgment is fair, holy, and true. Her fall is a warning not to trust in earthly riches or corrupt power. Trusting in wealth, luxury, and worldly power is a dangerous foundation for life. What appears secure and impressive can collapse in an instant. The world often values success, riches, and influence, but God sees the pride and corruption behind it. When judgment comes, those who gained from evil mourn their loss, not because of love, but because their comfort is gone. God calls His people to live differently, to separate from what is impure and temporary. We are called to live with integrity, humility, and eternal purpose. Earthly riches will fade, but God's kingdom endures. Our hope must rest in Him alone. Let us pursue what is holy, knowing only what is built on Him will truly last. Holy Lord, You are righteous in all Your ways and worthy of all praise. You see through every illusion of wealth and power. Help us not to be deceived by the temporary glory of the world. Teach us to value what is eternal and to walk in purity and truth. Call us out of anything that pulls our hearts away from You. Give us wisdom to live with integrity and strength to turn from sin. May we trust in Your justice and rest in Your promises. Lead us to honor You with our lives as we wait for Your everlasting kingdom. Thought Questions: What worldly influences are you tempted to trust in over the Lord, and how can you shift your hope and allegiance fully to Him? How do you respond when God directs you to separate from things that are comfortable or convenient but are spiritually harmful? Do you believe that God's judgment will remove all the evil powers of this world? How should your daily choices today reflect that belief?
