Greg Frost is the Chairman and CEO of EXUMA Biotech, which is working on a cancer cellular therapy that can be administered in a patient without lymphodepletion from chemotherapy. Traditionally, it was thought that some cells needed to be eliminated before new cells could be introduced. EXUMA is working on a rapid point of care, rPOC, technology that will allow this approach to be expanded to various cancers and readily available to patients. Greg explains, "What we came to realize was that if we were to take our gene-loaded lymphocytes, and rather than putting them directly in the bloodstream, if we allowed them to start through what we call a synthetic lymph node or a local injection site, that those cells could get the programming and expansion where they were rather than just going straight in the bloodstream and every cell was diluted out into different locations in the body." "If they could start in one location together as a team, you had a much better chance of, when they would get into the lymphatics and build up through there, of having a stronger team to go in and fight the cancer. And importantly, also it makes it very effective for them to be able to amplify the gene programs that we have to get up into circulation without the need for lymphodepleting chemotherapy first." @EXUMABiotech #CellularTherapy #SolidTumors #BloodCancers #Chemotherapy #Lymphodepletion #Cancer EXUMAbio.com Download the transcript here

CAR-T therapies are an area of great promise for improving outcomes for cancer patients, but the process of preparing cells taken from a patient and genetically modifying them is time consuming and costly. Exuma Biotech believes it can address the cost and time involved in the preparation of these products with its rapid, point-of-care platform technology. We spoke to Greg Frost, chairman and CEO Exuma Biotech, about CAR-T therapies, how its technology works, and how it is working to cut the cost, and speed the delivery of these immunotherapies to patients.
Dr. Gregory Frost, Chairman and CEO, EXUMA Biotech, shares his insights into the tremendous progress made in developing autologous CAR-T therapies, as well as the challenges that remain for cell therapies surrounding safety and accessibility. EXUMA's rapid point of care platform has the potential to dramatically reduce the cost of CAR-T production for both liquid and solid tumors. Greg also describes their logic-gated CAR-T technology which may help avoid potential on-target, off-tumor toxicity in solid tumor malignancies such as gastric, breast and ovarian cancers. @EXUMABiotech #EXUMABiotech #CART #CellTherapy #immunotherapy EXUMABio.com Listen to the podcast here

Greg Frost shares about how Jesus can fulfil our desires
I've been saving this interview for about a month because I knew I would be out of town this week. This is a fantastic talk on the housing market; where we've come from and where we're going. I'm talking with Greg Frost one of the "good guys" in the mortgage loan business. He is the first man to every write a billion dollars in loans and during the buildup to the subprime mortgage collapse Greg never sold a single subprime loan. It's an intriguing look into the workings of the mortgage market and by the end I was asking myself a question, "Is all this new regulation really making us safer?" You decide.Support the show.
Welcome to the About Perception Podcast from The Garrity Group Public Relations, this is Tom Garrity. This episode is focusing on those who stand the watch… trust of police officers and what our community can do to get a better understanding of this important profession. The 2016 Garrity Perception Survey of New Mexico residents, commissioned by The Garrity Group and conducted by Research and Polling, recently measured perceptions of New Mexico residents about favorability od small business. The survey results have a 95 percent level of confidence. New Mexico residents trust police officers. But it hasn't always been that way. In 2014, according to the Garrity Perception Survey, only 39% of residents trusted police officers. According to the 2016 Garrity Perception Survey52% of residents trust plice officers… an increase of 13% over the past two years. Given how the law enforcement profession was perceived in our state – a result of some very high profile incidents – to see a 13% increase over two years is nothing short of impressive. Joining me today is someone who wears a lot of hats very well including community leader, real estate financer and BBQ aficionado but most of us know him as the Vice President of Business Development and Marketing for the Frost Mortgage Banking Group… Greg Frost Junior.

Leaky Natural Gas Wells (start time 6:22). We speak with Greg Frost, a scientist from the University of Colorado at Boulder and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), about a new study, which is being published by the Journal of Geophysical Research. The study indicates that natural gas drilling creates higher amounts of methane leakage into the atmosphere than previous estimates had indicated. Methane is a potent greenhouse gas, and unless this problem of leakage is solved, there is concern that drilling for natural gas might cause higher levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere than burning coal. We also offer an extended version of this interview. Recent Contributions of Glaciers and Ice Caps to Sea Level Rise (start time 14:25). Scientists at CU's Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research now have used eight years worth of satellite data to a clearer picture of how climate change is impacting the cryosphere, or ice-covered parts of the planet. (See animations here.) Knowing how much ice has been lost during this time can help scientists understand how melting ice might contribute to sea level rise, both now and in the future. But there have been conflicting stories in the press about how the results should be interpreted. We talk with Tad Pfeffer, one of the study’s coauthors, to discuss what’s really happening to the Earth's ice. Hosts: Joel Parker & Breanna Draxler Producer: Joel Parker Engineers: Jim Pullen & Shelley Schlender Additional contributions: Beth Bartel Executive producer: Shelley Schlender Listen to the show:
This is an extended version of the KGNU Science Show, How on Earth. It features Greg Frost, a scientist with the University of Colorado at Boulder and with NOAA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. He's on the team led by Gabrielle Petron which has been studying leaks from natural gas production. In this extended interview, Greg tells us about natural gas wells in Colorado that are leaking twice as much methane and benzene into the atmosphere as official estimates have indicated. Methane is a potent greenhouse gas. Benzene is a carcinogen. Let’s listen in now, as Greg Frost tells How on Earth's Shelley Schlender what their study of leaking methane from gas wells found.
