From the age of 4, Amma Whatt’s professional journey has been one of accomplishment, passion and variety.  As a dancer, under the tutelage of her parents she studied and performed the traditional music of West Africa and The Caribbean. As an actress and entertainer at 16, she participated in a hilarious one-on-one TV interview on Bill Cosby's "Kid's say the Darndest Things". As a vocalist, she left her mark in the Howard University Jazz Vocal Performance Program and as a soloist in the Howard Gospel Choir.  Amma then toured the US and internationally as a supporting vocalist with Glory of NY Gospel Singers, Ruben Studdard, Karen Clark-Sheard, Ki-Ki Sheard, Shirley Murdock, Howard Hewitt, Tulani Kinard, Byron Cage, Rob Murat, and Melba Moore. It was as a Hollywood Week Finalist on the 5th season of American Idol, that Amma’s talent drew the attention of film and television producers. She appeared in the 2007 film August Rush and sang on the film’s Academy Award-nominated song “Raise It Up”, highlighted by a live performance at the 2008 Academy Awards.  Most recently, you can hear Amma singing "Get Happy" in the new Home Goods commercials airing on national television and radio. While Amma continues to share the stage and album features with a wide variety of artists such as Jarrard Anthony, Nicholas Ryan Gant, Monet, Darien, Catz & Dogz, Mark de Clive-Lowe, and Jason Moran, to name a few, her talents are very much in demand as a songwriter and producer.  Amma co-wrote “Just the Way You Are” for Kindred and The Family Soul’s “The Arrival.”  In recognition of her community service work, Amma was named a grant recipient of the Miracle Corners of the World Alumni Venture Fund. Amma used her grant to sponsor a youth day of fun for the Egbe Iwa Odo Kunrin/Binrin Rites of Passage program.

Jarrard Anthony – Ready to Live  To evolve, elevate, enrich, edify, encourage—these signifying words pepper singer/songwriter/producer and multi-instrumentalist Jarrard Anthony's conversation whenever he describes his goals as a seeker, teacher, student, husband, father and artist. Each time the doer presses the curve of a guitar against his body or sits behind an ivory row, he is digging to unearth the stories and melodies of a shared humanity and spiritual source. Jarrard Anthony wants to connect. He wants listeners to experience the exchange of mutual energy, the transfer of love, knowledge, intimacy, and appreciation through music —the lifeblood of Anthony's own healing brand of soul. His latest full-length project, Ready to Live, brings him closer to his goal of connection.  “Mr. Independent.” Over the next five years, Mr. Independent launched a label (JAP Music & Entertainment Group), landed distribution with Bungalo/Universal, appeared in numerous magazines (VIBE, Black Beat, Blues & Soul), and shared stages with Silk, Monica, Cam'ron, Amerie, The O'Jays, L.L. Cool J, Howard Hewitt, Lyfe Jennings, Anthony Hamilton, The Gap Band and Pieces of A Dream, among others—artists as varied in their genres and approach as Anthony was becoming in his own.

Born in Richmond, VA Jarrard Anthony was best known as a 3yr old Chuck Berry impersonator. Demonstrating an early aptitude for writing songs to video game melodies, Anthony caressed his 1st keyboard on Christmas at age 10. By HS, he’d made a commitment to share his gifts and seriously study his craft, learning from influences as varied as Maurice White of Earth Wind and Fire, Sting, Jodeci, and the bright-voiced Corey Day from Dr. Buzzard’s Original Savannah Band. While in school, Anthony joined an R&B group, Personal Preference, learning the art of compromise and collaboration that would later inform his writing for artists like Howard Hewitt, Franklin Roberts, Bobby Lyle, Tonia Woods and being sought after for studio work with Levi Little of Blackstreet, Tim Dillinger, CJ Lewis, and producer Joshua Thompson. Refinement in dance, voice, and performance came through 10,000 gladwell hrs of group rehearsals, lessons, talent show and local radio showcases, before eventually wowing the Apollo audience in NY, ultimately taking the Amateur night win. At 19 Anthony decided to step out on his own, releasing a single “So D-vine”. His indie EP debut, The Dream, soon followed as did a #2 spot on the UK charts. Anthony’s early recording success overseas opened the doors for relationships with famed producers Nate Smith, Bob Baldwin, Nolan Doran, and Joe McMinn, who worked for 2 yrs with Anthony on Don’t Sleep Just Dream. An international “Don’t Sleep Just Dream” tour followed, taking Anthony around the globe subsequently turning down financially dubious major label deals, earning the moniker, Mr. Independent. Over the next 5 yrs, Mr. Independent would launch a label, JAP Music Ent Group, and a major distribution deal with Bungalo/Universal. With the NIA/Purpose Music Group distributed Ready to Live, Jarrard lyrically/musically demonstrates a marked evolution from a carnal, young R&B lothario to growing man.
