Tune in to this week's episode to hear Rachael talk about a possible serial killer in Brockton, Massachusetts...or is it two different killers, using the same dumping ground? Authorities have connected this potential serial killer's DNA to several rapes as well, though no successful matches have come from it. Rachael connects this to the 2019 kidnapping and murder of Jassy Correia which happened in downtown Boston. When the killer's picture was released, there was an influx of calls from people who thought he looked identical to a sketch of this supposed Brockton serial killer. Jassy Correia's killer was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole only a few days prior to the release of this episode.Sources:1) https://www.boston.com/news/crime/2022/10/11/louis-coleman-life-sentence-prison-kidnapping-death-jassy-correia/2) https://www.delawareonline.com/story/news/2019/03/01/donations-pour-2-year-old-daughter-boston-victim-found-delaware/3026361002/3) https://www.wickedlocal.com/story/journal-sun/2015/03/25/bodies-found-in-brockton-woods/34902023007/4) https://www.patriotledger.com/story/news/crime/2014/12/31/gruesome-discovery-shocks-brockton-man/35622917007/5) https://fletchermarple.com/post/137633110144/the-mystery-of-two-women-and-a-potential-serial6) https://www.wcvb.com/article/brockton-killer-likely-did-it-before-may-do-it-again-experts-say/82150747) http://www.truecrimedeadline.com/episode-show-notes/previous/38) https://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2019/03/01/closer-look-louis-coleman-man-charged-connection-with-murder-jassy-correia/lNX6LBiDUdvfcJ51HiNpeJ/story.html9) https://www.websleuths.com/forums/threads/ma-jassy-correia-23-last-seen-at-club-venu-phone-shut-off-boston-24-feb-2019-arrest.427946/page-1010) https://unsolvednews.substack.com/p/a-serial-killer-at-work11) https://www.justice.gov/usao-ma/pr/louis-coleman-iii-convicted-federal-jury-kidnapping-resulting-death12) https://www.masslive.com/police-fire/2022/05/louis-d-coleman-iii-accused-of-kidnapping-and-killing-23-year-old-jassy-correia-heads-to-trial-in-boston.html13) https://nypost.com/2022/06/02/louis-coleman-guilty-of-kidnapping-murder-of-boston-mom/14) https://caselaw.findlaw.com/ma-supreme-judicial-court/1038292.html15) https://www.wickedlocal.com/story/journal-news-independent/2016/01/26/no-tears-in-raynham-on/987501007/16) https://apnews.com/article/348f4ce7d6d08d260c7cc15b8718b48d

On Saturday, February 23rd - 2019, Jassy Correia was out celebrating her upcoming birthday at the popular Venu nightclub in Boston, MA. The following Wednesday, an alert went out that she was now officially considered a “missing person.” Family and friends hadn’t heard from her in days, and whilst Boston Police promptly posted the club’s surveillance video the night Jassy disappeared, they noticed that she was not alone. The question that collectively loomed over the city of Boston as time ran thin- was who was the man appearing on camera with Jassy, when she was last seen alive? New details in the Brockton Serial Killer case after a possible arrest linking a man accused of abducting and killing a mom to two horrific murders.Between 2013 and 2014 a man has been attacking, raping and killing women in the small New England town of Brockton Massachusetts. On December 28, 2014 the remains of 20-year-old Ashley Mylett and 50-year-old Linda Schufeldt were discovered in a wooded area near a VFW post.Mylett's body had been dismembered and thrown on top of Schufeld's bones. With suspect DNA collected from Mylett's remains, forensic scientists discovered that three violent rapes in the same area were connected to the murders. The Plymouth County District Attorney's office then enlisted the help of Parabon NanoLabs to build a phenotyping sketch. In March of 2019, A young mom by the name of Jassy Correia was abducted and killed after a night of celebrating her birthday. When the case was featured on the local news a friend of Ashley Mylett made a shocking discovery that might solve the mystery... who is the Brockton Serial Killer."Anyone with information is asked to call police: (508) 894-2584WEBSITE - SUBMIT CASE IDEAS:http://www.truecrimedeadline.com/FOLLOW THE PODCAST:https://twitter.com/CrimeDeadlinehttps://www.facebook.com/TrueCrimeDEADLINE/https://www.instagram.com/truecrimedeadline/AMERICAN CRIME FEST:https://americancrimefest.com/Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/posts/true-crime-lets-26942079?utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&utm_campaign=postshare)
