At the top was a simple announcement - “After thirty years it is not too late to investigate” Below this text, the billboard featured pictures of each of the five missing Sodder children - Maurice, Martha, Louis, Jennie, and Betty.  The text below the pictures read… On Christmas Eve 1945 our home was set afire and five of our children ages 5 through 14 kidnapped. The officials blamed defective wiring although lights were still burning after the fire started. The official report stated that the children died in the fire. However no bones were found in the residue and there was no smell of burning flesh during or after the fire. What was the motive of the law officers involved? What did they have to gain by making us suffer all of these years of injustice? Kada Scott ////// 891 Part 1 of 1  www.TrueCrimegrage.com23 year old Kada Scott was last seen in the parking lot of her workplace, The Terrace at Chestnut Hill senior living in Philadelphia late on the night of Saturday, October 4, 2025.  Kada received several texts and phone calls all from the same cellphone shortly before she was abducted. The Philadelphia Police department used, cellphone and vehicle information to lead them to multiple cars used in the abduction and subsequent crimes, Kada's body, and a single suspect who is a repeat violent offender. There is still a lot more for police to uncover. Multiple people were involved in these crimes and right now only one suspect has been arrested and charge with murder. Nic from the True Crime Garage podcast joins me to discuss the case of Judy Martins. On the night of May 23, 1978, Judy went out with friends for some fun. With Memorial Day Weekend approaching, she had plans to travel with her friends. According to police, Judy left her friends' dormitory at Kent State University to walk a short distance back to her own dorm. That would be the last time she was seen. Since she lived alone, she wasn't reported missing for more than a day. The investigation into her disappearance never gained traction and eventually went cold. Sadly, Judy's parents have since passed away, and the case remains unsolved to this day. However, her brother and sister are determined to see the case resolved and believe it is still possible. Gary Leon Ridgway, better known as the Green River Killer, was one of the most prolific serial murderers in American history. Born in 1949 in Salt Lake City, Ridgway terrorized the Seattle-Tacoma area throughout the 1980s and 1990s. His victims were primarily vulnerable women — many of them sex workers or runaways — whom he lured into his truck before strangling them and dumping their bodies in remote wooded areas or near the Green River, which gave him his nickname. Ridgway maintained a steady job at a truck manufacturing plant, lived a seemingly ordinary suburban life, and even volunteered at church — all while carrying out a years-long killing spree that confounded investigators and horrified the nation.In 2003, Ridgway entered a plea deal that spared him the death penalty in exchange for full cooperation with authorities. He confessed to 48 murders but claimed the real number was closer to 70, saying, “I killed so many women I have a hard time keeping them straight.” Ridgway provided grisly details of his crimes — including necrophilia — and helped investigators locate remains of his victims years after their disappearances. His confessions revealed a cold, methodical predator who targeted women he believed would not be missed quickly, often returning to the scenes to relive his crimes. In the early days after the escape, the manhunt for Vicky and Casey White expanded rapidly from a local search into a national operation that drew in multiple federal agencies. Peaches ////// 877Part 1 of 1  www.TrueCrimeGarage.comWhile law enforcement continues to connect crimes and still more victims to the infamous Long Island Serial Killer investigation we decided to take a look at one of the more recent developments in this ongoing saga. In July of 2023 a family man and architect named Rex Heuermann was arrested in connection with three murders tied to the Long Island Serial Killer case or L.I.S.K. for short. Those names and a few others were given to a series of unsolved homicides where the bodies and remains of several young women, a male, and a toddler were discovered in and around Long Island, New York. It is undetermined at this time if all of the murders were committed by the same killer or killers. Since the arrest of Heuermann, investigators have continued to make progress. Yogurt Shop Murders ////// UPDATE    Part 1 of 1www.TrueCrimeGarage.com After more than 33 years we finally get some closure in the infamous Yogurt Shop Murders case that has haunted Austin Texas since that sad and tragic night when four teen girls were brutally murdered. From The Austin Police Department - Austin Police have made a significant breakthrough in the 1991 I Can't Believe It's Yogurt murder case and we have new information. Our team never gave up working this case. For almost 34 years they have worked tirelessly and remained committed to solving this case for the families of Jennifer Harbison, Sarah Harbison, Eliza Thomas, and Amy Ayers, all innocent lives taken senselessly and far too soon. We have identified a suspect in these murders through a wide range of DNA testing. The suspect is Robert Eugene Brashers, who committed suicide in 1999. The Yogurt Shop Murders /// Part 2 /// 867Part 2 of 2  www.TrueCrimeGarage.comThis week we take a good solid look at a case that has weighed heavy on the hearts and minds of everyone in the Lone Star state's capital city. The Austin Yogurt Shop Murders is one of most infamous cases in Texas history. Despite the efforts of the APD it remains unsolved. In 1991 four girls were killed at the I Can't Believe it's Yogurt near the Northcross mall. Victims - Amy Ayers (13), Eliza Thomas (17), Jennifer Harbison (17), and Sarah Harbison (15) were shot and killed in the shop's backroom before the business was set on fire. Police had many leads, some that turned into arrests, and two accused were charged, convicted, and released.
