On this episode, HENNESSY joins the show. HENNESSY is an R&B artists from Providence, Rhode Island. In December of 2022, she released her first EP, “Time Revealed”. HENNESSY shares her transition into becoming a musical artist from being an active member in her community's art scene. On this episode, CD Rose joins the show! CD Rose is an R&B artist and songwriter from the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. After injuring herself during basketball practice, she felt the need to switch hobbies and ultimately, she discovered her new passion for singing and creating music. She traveled to Atlanta and networked with the producers there to develop her sound. She met with Justice Baiden, one of the founders of LVRN, and was able to join a session with London on da Track. With Summer Walker being one of CD's biggest influences, CD was not going to miss this opportunity. After her time in Atlanta, she released her debut project, “Take Your Own Advice”. A year later, she released her new single, “Tsunami” and is working on her next project. CD is ready to put herself out there. She is looking to represent the LGBTQ+ community in the R&B space. On this episode, Twizz joins the show. Twizz is an 18 year old hip hop producer from the Forest Hills neighborhood in Boston. He recently received a platinum plaque for his involvement on a record with Polo G & NLE Choppa. DME and Rich look to find out how Twizz got to where he is today. He shares that he started producing on his grandmother's computer back in 2019. He picked up a piano, discovered that he enjoyed creating melodies, and that's when he realized this was now his passion. After networking with multiple people in the music industry, Twizz was able to get placements with several mainstream artists. Now, he is on his way to LA to begin his college career. On this episode, DME and Rich are joined by DeevoDaGenius. Deevo classifies himself as an essential hip hop producer and engineer. He and DME are both judges for the Testing Lab where they both met for the first time. The Testing Lab allows both DME and Deevo to lend their expertise to new and aspiring artists. Deevo's sound isn't for everybody. He also does not want just anyone's vocals on his production. His production requires high level rap, no gimmicks. Any time artists step into the booth with Deevo, they have to flex that lyrical muscle. His most recent project, “Untitled 005” is a true testament of that. Deevo breaks down the Mass music scene and his role in the it. He wants his music to stand the test of time and be a representation of the life he lives. She opens up about her art background, being a dancer and writing a book of poetry. Poetry eventually evolved into lyrics and “Baby Steps” was born. The project is six tracks long and the project displays kei's versatility and potential to get a crowd moving. Personal favorites are: “dead to me” and “Pressed”. She shares how she was able to construct most of her project during the pandemic and at the same time, she became more in touch with her spirituality. All of that is displayed in her performances. You can feel the energy while you're watching from your seat. kei is all about her growth. She is looking forward to embracing her newfound support and creating new waves within the scene.
