 It doesn't take long for Emma Hunter's frisky DJ Nora to jump back into action on Moonshine (CBC; The CW). As Season Three begins, she's having sex in a car with her police officer boyfriend (played by James Gilbert).Sorry, America. You won't see that scene in the U.S. Hunter's auto erotic antics, as well as the occasional obscenity, will be cut on The CW. It seems that the Canadian brew of Moonshine is a little too strong for The CW's standards and practices.The raunchy dramedy, from writer/producer Sheri Elwood, focuses on a dysfunctional clan of half siblings battling for control of a ramshackle lodge on the south shore of Nova Scotia. Hunter, previous podcast guest Jennifer Finnigan as Lydia, and Anastasia Phillips as Rhian play the three feisty sisters on the series.As she says on this podcast, Hunter is thrilled to be flexing more than just her funny bone with Moonshine. I like my podcast guests to feel comfortable. That's not always possible over a zoom call, but that didn't stop Jennifer Finnigan, currently back for a second season on CBC's comedy-drama Moonshine.  For our interview, the Montreal native chose to stay in bed.That is a level of intimacy and/or laziness usually reserved for close friends or relatives so I'm flattered. Really.Besides, Finnigan has been spending long days in production on an already ordered third season of the series, shot on the southern shore of Nova Scotia. Created by Sheri Elwood (Call Me Fitz), Moonshine is about a ramshackle summer resort run by one whacked out family.  Finnigan plays Lidia, the prodigal sister who returns from America. When her hippie parents (Peter MacNeill and Corrine Koslo) retire, Lidia gets drawn into a battle with her freaked out siblings for control of the joint. Lidia's life takes a turn when she finds out her lying douche of a hubby was cheating on her. Finnigan's real-life husband Jonathan Silverman stepped right into the part. The couple and their five-year-old daughter moved to Nova Scotia to work on the series. They've been having a blast working on Moonshine with Anastasia Phillips, Emma Hunter, Tom Stevens, Alexander Nunez and others. This season, Allan Hawco plays Lidia's new biker boy.We also talk about Finnigan's past roles, including The Bold and the Beautiful (where she won three daytime Emmys), Crossing Jordan, Tyrant and Salvation. On the 8th day of HNA Christmas, Hallmark gives us a movie where the townspeople of struggling Christmas, CO (yep, Christmas is the name of the town) basically work day in and day out over the course of several days to keep a female ski resort exec from Denver trapped in their town so they can BRING, not stop from bringing, but BRING a fancy ski resort to their town, which will undoubtedly bring hardship and eventual failure to any of the existing small business currently operating in their precious town. Are you with us? Did you catch all that? OK... Eric Mabius expertly plays Gage McBride, loveable, single-dad Sherriff of Christmas who is simply watching all of this madness play out while shaking his head. Jennifer Finnigan is Madison, the initially eye rolling ski resort exec who was forced to scope out the town by her boss, takes out the town sign and is forced to stay the many "days" it will take to fix her car - wink, wink. Prevailing belief: if we build a ski resort, tourism will return to Christmas. Until they all slowly remember that ski resorts bring a host of crap chains and big box retailers that will put them all out of business. I didn't say they were quick studies...
