It's been a fast and furious week or so in professional wrestling with the build up to PLEs from both major American promotions as well as weekly television and a B-level PLE thrown in just for kicks. AEW rolled into Uncle Todd's neck of the woods for a live broadcast of Dynamite and Collision and he waded into enemy territory to be part of history. On the other side of the trenches, WWE has been building up to their first ever Italian PLE this coming Sunday as well as cranking out weekly TV and a Saturday Night's Main Event in that jewel of the midwest, Fort Wayne, Indiana. How'd it all go? What's gonna happen in Italy? We cover it all in this, episode 248, Working Both Sides Of The Aisle! FULL VIDEO EPISODES! That's right folks, you can see our bright smiling idiotic faces in full color on our YouTube channel. Miles Davis's Kind of Blue is one of the greatest albums of all time - possibly THE greatest. But it's not perfect. In this special episode of You'll Hear It, jazz pianists Peter Martin and Adam Maness break down this classic record, track-by-track, to uncover why it has become so legendary. They dig into what's really going on in the music during this album's best moments: Miles's trumpet solo on "So What", Wynton Kelly's piano solo on "Freddie Freeloader", John Coltrane's entrance on "Blue in Green".Plus - we learn more about what Miles was doing in his early years, his break from bebop, what he thought of Bill Evans's approach, and the production and engineering techniques that give Kind of Blue its unique sound.Miles Davis was born just outside of St. Louis 100 years ago this week. To celebrate his centennial birthday, Adam and Peter filmed this episode in front of a live audience at The Sheldon Concert Hall in St. Louis, MO.Chapters Legend:

Cookin', Relaxin', Workin', and Steamin' capture Miles Davis on one of music history's most remarkable upswings. He had recently become clean after a years-long heroin addiction that led to his exclusion from major record labels and clubs. And now, in 1956, he had a deal with Columbia - the Cadillac of record labels - and a band he loved: Red Garland on piano, Philly Joe Jones on drums, Paul Chambers on bass and John Coltrane playing the sax. In this episode of You'll Hear It, jazz pianists Peter Martin and Adam Maness go through each album. They discuss the outsized influence of Ahmad Jamal, Red Garland's Red spread technique, the power of Miles's chatter on Relaxin' and whether this is the greatest rhythm section in the history of recorded music. Whether this is your first introduction to Miles Davis, or you've been listening to these albums for years, you'll walk away from this episode with a new understanding of, and appreciation for, Miles and his first great quintet. ------------------------------Start your free Open Studio trial for ALLLLL your jazz lesson needs: https://openstudiojazz.com/yhi------------------------------Some Day My Prince Will Come: https://youtu.be/a_Ygq74SjvQBirth of the Cool: https://youtu.be/eEl9-z6G2tU My Funny Valentine: https://youtu.be/-9mMbZMtyGs -------------------------------About You'll Hear It:In this popular music series, Adam and Peter break down the greatest albums of all time. Jay Doran's Word for 2026: LOVEIn Episode 19, Jay Doran closes the NYE Lollapalooza series by sharing his personal word for 2026: LOVE — and redefining it far beyond how the word is commonly used. This episode is not about romance alone, and it's not about sentiment. It's about love as a discipline, a standard, and a responsibility.Jay breaks down what love actually looks like when it's lived out:In partnership In leadership and workIn friendship, boundaries, and commitmentIn the way we choose to show up for people — even when it's uncomfortableHe challenges the idea that love is passive or conditional, and instead frames it as something that requires intention, courage, presence, and consistency. Love, as Jay describes it, is not weakness — it is alignment. It is choosing truth over ego, service over control, and depth over convenience. This episode serves as a personal declaration and a compass for the year ahead — not just for Jay, but for anyone listening who wants to live with greater clarity, integrity, and connection in 2026.If you've ever felt that the word love has been diluted or misunderstood, this conversation restores its weight — and its meaning. This is the final chapter of the NYE Lollapalooza. And it's an invitation to live the year ahead differently.Share this episode with someone who's ready to lead — and love — at a higher standard.

0:00 - Apparently an ankle wasn't gonna keep Jamal Murray from bringing back the blue arrow for a fifty piece with 10/11 three point shooting in a 135-120 Nuggets win on Wednesday night. Vic, Mose, and Mat Smith spend the segment in just pure awe.17:10 - Sean Payton talked to the media about some acquisitions the Broncos made over the week, signing Elijah Moore, etc.. He also talked about RJ Harvey and how to juice the offense via the run game. The gang invites Chad Brown in to talk about these moves and all things Broncos.36:35 - Moser tries to put the fellas onto the joys of street meat to little success. He also shares the Keys to the Game for the Avalanche as they take on the Islanders tonight in Long Island. Street meat is the sticking point here though.

This episode features Brody Layher and Levi Sopeland. Brody is our human gear library. He's also a die-hard hunter who moved to Arizona after experiencing the mountain West for the first time. Levi is a videographer/photographer for The Western Hunter as well as our family of companies. He's also the primary copyeditor and a member of the creative team for Western Hunter Magazine. In this episode, they discuss a project they've been working on that they call "The Workin' Man's Custom Rifle." Their idea is to see just how good you can make a "cheap" rifle with modifications and how the result would compare to a fully custom rifle that could cost more than five times as much. They also discuss the current trend toward lightweight, low-recoiling rifles and how the 6mm Creedmoor is becoming a standout caliber for hunters. Thank you for your patience as we progress in our podcasting skills! We hope you enjoy. If you have any questions, suggestions, or other feedback, don't hesitate to send them to Chris@westernhunter.net.
This week MJ and Jackie unleash on the world that THE LOVE HAS GONE with it comin' out that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's divorce is a lot more contentious than previously thought! MJ and Gideon are tryin' to find somethin' between a Hocus Pocus and Hereditary to enjoy for their 31 for 31 as true life horrors are just too much this year, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco got maaaarried but all the news could talk about was Taylor Swift being there right before "The Life of a Showgirl" dropped, Jackie's in Season 2 of Hannibal and it's SPICY HAWT. It's FAT BEAR WEEK! JLO opened up about the DIVORCE and how the greatest love story ever told fell apart, "Everybody Loves Raymond" is havin' a 30th reunion and MJ is just TOO excited, and speakin' of 30 year old shows, Debbe Dunning from "Home Improvement"'s show within a show "Tool Time" has said Tim Allen has always been a fuckwad. Faith from Buffy, Eliza Douche, missed the "Bring It On" reunion because she was WORKIN', and in DWTS news HILARIA goes on and on and on and on about herself while GLEB just looks miserable, Robert Irwin took off his shirt to unleash some Australian Thunder and everyone asked him to put it back on, and even more DWTS chatter! Plus MJ and Jackie agree if ya ain' watchin' season 2 of Peacemaker, you better get on IT and even more!Want even more Page 7? Support us on Patreon! Co-hosts Jared Yates Sexton and Nick Hauselman unpack a jaw-dropping Trump admission—governing off TV images and staff spin—and how that fantasy politics becomes policy: talk of sending “full force” into blue cities, a rebranding of domestic terror to target dissent, and an FBI focus that ignores the deadliest threats. They contrast right-wing violence with the media's left-is-rising narrative, dig into how grifters launder fear into power, and roast Democratic leadership for meeting authoritarian tactics with mushy pressers as a shutdown looms. Plus: Portland reality vs. propaganda, why “security” is the fig leaf for crackdowns, and what real pushback should look like.
