Hello, hello — and welcome back to the show! It's been a minute. The last time you heard from me, we'd just arrived in Greece. I was recording under those gorgeous trees, with cicadas louder than my mic. It was beautiful, but not ideal for a podcast. So, I decided to take a break.Key word: decided. In this episode, I'm sharing why I pressed pause on posting and podcasting, what the past six months of travel taught me, and how I'm coming back with more clarity and excitement than ever.Because no, this wasn't burnout. It was alignment — the strategic kind. The difference between fire and flow — and why we need both → Fire is the structure, the systems, the strategy. → Flow is the joy, the intuition, the being. How taking six months off to travel with my family helped me reset my goals and reconnect with what freedom actually looks likeWhy I believe alignment isn't about doing what feels good in the moment — it's about intentional decisions backed by strategyHow I'm building and planning for 2026The 9-part Fire + Flow Framework: strategy, systems, and support — and how each area fuels a different kind of freedomThis episode includes: Why I still believe in balance (and what it actually means when you're running a business, raising a family, and living life on your terms)Want More?DM "CEO" on Instagram: @annelisewornDownload the 6-Figure Freelancer Guide: https://a.anneliseworn.com/6ffBook a Free Strategy Call: anneliseworn.com/consult

Eddie Judge has come forward to expresses some concerns he has about wife Tamra Judge. Kyle Richards, on the other hand, seems to have finally caught a big break and fans galore prepare for the return of RHOBH which now has a premiere date later this year right after BravoCon. MJ announced her divorce after seven years of marriage to Tommy Feight and the shiz is about to hit the fan big time. RHOC heads into its finale week, RHOSLC brings the humor and the new season of RHOM stalls. Last, but not least, Wendy Osefo lies to us again, uses religion as a scapegoat and worries more about fame, appearances and TV than the fact that she may be headed to jail some time soon. @behindvelvetrope @davidyontef BONUS & AD FREE EPISODES Available at - www.patreon.com/behindthevelvetrope BROUGHT TO YOU BY: RELIEFBAND - reliefband.com (Use Code VELVET For 20% Off Plus Free Shipping on the Original Anti-Nausea Wristband) RO - ro.co/velvet (For Prescription Compounded GLP-1s and Your Free Insurance Check) THEREALREAL - therealreal.com/velvetrope (Get $25 Off At the Best Place To Shop Authenticated Luxury Bags, Clothing, Watches & more) THE KARDASHIANS - (The Kardashians Season 7 Premieres October 23rd On Hulu) INDEED - indeed.com/velvet (Seventy Five Dollar $75 Sponsored Job Credit To Get Your Jobs More Visibility) PROGRESSIVE - www.progressive.com (Visit Progressive.com To See If You Could Save On Car Insurance) ADVERTISING INQUIRIES - Please contact David@advertising-execs.com MERCH Available at - https://www.teepublic.com/stores/behind-the-velvet-rope?ref_id=13198 Learn more about your ad choices. Brendan! is joined by "The Boys" for a Friday episode recorded in the aftermath of the latest NBA gambling scandal. Brendan, Joseph LaMagna, and PJ run through an overview of the news involving Chauncey Billups and Terry Rozier before wondering if pro golf is inevitably set up for a scandal of its own. Joseph suggests that player head-to-head markets for a single round would be the way that this would happen and PJ has already dubbed the FBI sting as "Operation Al-BET-ross." Joseph also details the difference between regulated markets and unregulated markets in sports gambling and how each could potentially lend itself to issues like the ones hitting the NBA. The three debate who would be the most surprising name to get caught up in a golf scandal before moving on to an update on the Bank of Utah Championship. Joseph believes this tournament is better than a handful of Signature Events and applauds the Tour for putting a "featured group" on the clock on Thursday morning. PJ shares an amusing comment from PGA Tour Live comparing Aldrich Potgieter to an all-time great as well. On the leaderboard, Thorbjorn Olesen found himself in the lead at the time of recording which provided plenty of joy for all involved in this recording. Brendan asks Joseph whether he's excited to attend the Good Good Championship in Austin next November after the announcement that the YouTubers will bring back "Big Break" to television. Joseph points out that Austin is "influencer city," so maybe Good Good has found the right market for its brand. The Sentry is officially canceled for 2026, but Kapalua is back open in mid-November anyway! The Sony Open will now kick off the 2026 season, and maybe rookies will actually make their way into the field. TGL unveiled its new green for the second season of the indoor league. Brendan is debating whether there's too much auxiliary golf content but The Boys are excited that Cameron Young has a chance to break his own record for the longest putt in TGL history. Brendan wraps up this episode with one quick Golf Advice question regarding a "Just A Guy" Halloween costume ahead of next week's costume extravaganza.

Jeff Smith and Carson Odegard sit down with waterfowl historian Yancey Forest-Knowles to unpack the Sacramento–San Joaquin Delta—its island clubs, levees and tides, and the public access that still lets you chase mallards and specks on big water today. What you'll hearHow the Delta was built — from early private island claims and hand-built levees to today's twin pressures of saltwater intrusion and export pumping.Club lore & big names — Twitchell Island's first club (1880), Venice and Mandeville's eras, and the “Mallard Hole” stories tied to Barron Hilton and Hollywood guests.Flood risk is real — why peat islands subside and how Jones Tract's 2004 failure floated a clubhouse away.Public opportunity — boat-in spots and state-permitted floating blinds at Frank's Tract (plus Big Break, Stone Lakes, Decker & more), and the on-water etiquette that keeps it working.Access rules that matter — anchor next to levees to hunt, but don't set foot on them.Today's mix of ag & restoration — CWA ownership on Quimby and habitat work across Medford, Sherman, and sister islands. From 19th-century market hunts to modern floating blinds, this one maps the Delta's history and gives practical pointers for anyone looking to do it right on big water.

It’s been a big 24 hours in the Supercars paddock with the final piece of the endurance driver line-up locked away - Nash Morris joins us on the pod for the first time to talk about it. The selection process he went through at Premiair and why he was no certainty to get the co-driver’s job alongside former Bathurst winner Richie Stanaway. Nash also shares a funny yarn on what made him change course and follow a race driver career path back in 2019. This is a radio-style newsy ep so we have not one but two interviews for you in this edition. RedBull Ampol Racing’s Mark Dutton also joins us to talk about fencing in Broc Feeney and Will Brown until the end of the decade! A move that caught a few of us by surprise. Were they at risk of ‘poacher’s moving in and how the Ford Mustang project is coming along ahead of the team’s big switch in 2026. Plus the latest on their wildcard after Zach Bate’s test at Queensland Raceway in recent days as the legendary Craig Lowndes chapter with the squad nears an end. Oh and some thoughts on the F1 commentary leaning into ‘British Bias’ despite Oscar Piastri’s dominance at Spa and why we might have to accept that’s just the way it is for now. The Chainsaw Man movie is sure to be great, but unfortunately, it will differ from the manga in one key area. At MAPPA's Anime Expo panel, MAPPA CEO Manabu Otsuka spoke about the difficulties of adapting the violent and sexual nature of the Reze arc, and shockingly, it was revealed that Chainsaw Man — The Movie: Reze Arc might tone down the sex and violence to be more accessible to general audiences.Support The Podcast!https://creators.spotify.com/pod/show/roose366/subscribeFollow For More Content &Streams!Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/roosejpKick: https://kick.com/roosejpYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/@Roose366 Youtube Gaming: https://www.youtube.com/@RooseJp/videosTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@podcastonanime

In this solo episode, I'm getting honest about what it means to truly trust your intuition, even when it feels scary or makes no logical sense. You'll learn:-What my body taught me about trusting my intuition-How to know when your soul is guiding you to pause, pivot, or leap-Why resting can be the most radical creative act-How I stopped letting fear of being forgotten dictate my decisionsThere's also a very special announcement inside...one that signals a major shift in my creative journey. I hope it inspires you to listen to your own inner voice, too. Come with me. Something new is beginning.

From just the look of Big Break, David Drake's third and latest hour, you might be surprised that Drake has helped build an entire corner of NYC comedy through the hallowed ground of The Gutter in Brooklyn (that also happens to be a lovely bowling alley). Between CYSKNYC and his multiple hour special in the space, Drake has gotten himself into rarefied air of making 80 minutes of stand-up very, very enjoyable. We get into all of that and more in this week's TCB Field Report. Produced by Jake Kroeger Music by Brian Granillo Artwork by Andrew Delman and Jake Kroeger Photo by @yocoland

Kristin Charbo is the Co-Founder and CEO of Glonuts, the better-for-you donut brand redefining indulgence with clean ingredients and low sugar. But her journey didn't start in food or even in business. Kristin spent over 15 years in luxury hospitality, opening hotels for brands like Mandarin Oriental and PUBLIC in New York. It wasn't until a PCOS diagnosis in her early 20s that she was forced to rethink her relationship with food, wellness, and ultimately, her career. That health wake-up call eventually sparked the idea for a nostalgic, blood-sugar-friendly treat she wished existed. What started as a “healthy donut thing” from a coffee cart quickly took on a life of its own, leading Kristin and her partner Grover to deliver over 100,000 donuts from their one-bedroom apartment and even use their wedding money to rebrand the business. Today, Glonuts is one of the most exciting brands in wellness snacking, stocked everywhere from Erewhon to H-E-B markets and other retailers all across the US.In this episode, Kristin gets real about what it actually takes to build something from nothing—when you don't have a blueprint, just a product people love and the grit to figure it out. She opens up about the mental rollercoaster of entrepreneurship, the scrappy early days of hand-delivering donuts, and the power of iterating on feedback. We talk about the challenges of fundraising as a female founder, how she built a network of powerhouse women who now double as investors and advisors, and why personal growth is just as critical as business growth. Whether you're dreaming of starting your own thing or in the thick of figuring it out as you go, Kristin's story is your reminder that success isn't always linear but it always starts with taking the first messy step.In this episode, we'll talk to Kristin about:* Glonuts began as an unexpected leap into entrepreneurship. [03:07]* The early days of building Glonuts + getting feedback. [04:55]* When Kristin first felt the entrepreneurial itch. [11:34]* Kristin's upbringing and relationship with food. [15:14]* Getting fired from corporate + going all in on Glonuts. [18:15]* Starting Glonuts from their home kitchen. [20:13]* How they got into Erewhon. [21:35]* Navigating the tough moments as a founder. [26:27]* Debunking the myth of overnight success. [33:08]* The unique challenges women face in fundraising. [34:38]* Investing in branding can significantly impact business success. [41:48]* Finding the right co-packer and the exact steps she took. [45:50]* Personal growth is a significant part of the entrepreneurial journey. [54:16]* The power of journaling for reflection and gratitude. On today's episode, we speak to writer Brandon Osterman, whose short script ‘The Naughty List' won last year's Final Draft Big Break Short Screenplay Category. As part of his prize package, he received a consultation with Sav Rodgers, Marketing Manager for Seed&Spark, the film industry's most popular crowdfunding platform. Sav joins the conversation to tell us exactly what crowdfunding is and help all writers understand that funding for their project is possible to achieve. “Who is your audience? At Seed&Spark, we always say that great crowdfunding is audience building first and fundraising second. While there is definitely a fundraising need, finding your audience is invaluable… Something that I always tell prospective crowdfunders is you already have the tools you need to do this. You know how to tell a story. You're here because you're a storyteller. You know how to invite people in. You already know how to talk about yourself persuasively,” says Sav Rodgers. Osterman also shares his journey creating his award-winning short script and gives advice to writers who are thinking of creating their own short film project. “I don't think there's been a better time to be making short format content than right now. The demand for it seems to be expanding every time I turn around. I think if that's something that you're interested in, go after it. You know, I think there are more opportunities to distribute that form of content than there have ever been. I think we've got a generation now that's grown up with TikTok and social media and much shorter, digestible content that, whether it's conditioning or just sort of lowering of attention spans, I think more people are more tuned into short form content than they have ever been before. It's a really, really exciting time to be making shorts,” says Osterman. To hear more about the short filmmaking process and crowdfunding, listen to the podcast.
