This was a fun conversation and reminded me that we all have agency and often times have to follow our own curiosity to get the answers we're looking for. Karen Burton is the co-founder of SpaceLab Detroit. In addition to their full time jobs, they also launched a research project called Noir Design Parti to raise awareness about African American architects impact in shaping the landscape of Detroit and surrounding areas. Their research then evolved in a fantastic podcast called Hidden in Plain Site.
