For 30 years, he gained weight, lost it, and gained it all back — running marathons, trying workout DVDs, hiding in the dark so no one could see him exercise. Nothing stuck. Two years ago, he joined Strong Standard. Today, he's down over 45 lbs, running faster than ever, and for the first time in his life, took his shirt off in public. This episode is for you if you've been stuck in the same cycle and feel like there's no way out. In this conversation, I sit down with Nate Waldron, one of our longest-standing community members, to break down: Why cardio alone keeps you trapped in the yo-yo dieting cycle How building muscle gave Nate the flexibility to eat ice cream guilt-free and still stay lean The psychology behind scarcity eating and how Nate learned to manage it Why tracking your food doesn't have to feel like punishment How Nate used a personal vision (not just a weight goal) to stay consistent for 2+ years The mindset shift that turned fitness into confidence as a husband, father, and coach Why quiet confidence matters more than visible abs Nate isn't a fitness influencer. He's a busy IT professional, executive coach, and father of four who finally found what actually works, and he breaks it all down here.

Emma and Cass open with a listener question that hits a little too close to home: "I just turned 30 and I hate my job, my apartment, and the city I live in. Do I blow it all up or am I just having a moment?" Emma says blow it the f up. Cass, who spent a year deeply unhappy in her marriage, her motherhood, and her life in general, says try 5% better first. From there: Cass on the motherhood imposter syndrome that hit her like a freight train (after 27 years of never feeling it), Emma on the version she's lived with her whole life, the menstrual blood research that's genuinely wild, and an unhinged agree/disagree game powered by Cass's husband's questions. In this episode: The listener question: turning 30, hating everything, and Emma vs Cass on whether to blow it up or stay put. "Wherever you go, there you are." Cass on the year she was deeply unwell and what she did instead of running, plus the 5% rule for making your life better without burning it down. "If you're a girly pop in your 30s who has let decisions make you instead of making them, maybe it's time to fucking blow it up." Emma's case for the hard pivot, geographic escapism included. Motherhood imposter syndrome that lasted two years, the postpartum therapist who said stop waiting for the cute walks to happen to you, and the day at the park when Cass realized she was a real mom talking to real moms. Emma on feeling like an imposter in every room she walks into, including the one she literally built. Emma's run-in with a guy she used to sleep with, and a description of his anatomy you will not forget. New menstrual blood research: Dr. Gemma Evans at the Hudson Institute found menstrual plasma heals wounds 40 times faster than regular blood plasma. A review of decades of yo-yo dieting research turns out to be way less scary than we've been told, and Cass is mad about how women get shamed either way. The SPF lip gloss that Emma keeps stealing from Cass's bathroom. The toy Emma can't get enough of. Get yours HERE at Bellesa! Agree/disagree with questions from Cass's husband: texting your ex, thirst-trap likes, body counts as a red flag, fighting a goose, landing a passenger plane, men should always pay. For anyone in their late 20s or 30s who's ever wanted to quit everything by Tuesday, or felt like an imposter in a room they literally built. Learn more about your ad choices. In this episode of the Talk Design podcast—part of Adrian's special "Wellness Intelligence" edit—Adrian sits down with influencer and health coach Ash Meredith, creator of the Lean Body Reset.Their connection started in a rather unconventional place: a local community sauna. From there, Adrian and Ash dive into a deeply relatable conversation about the realities of modern health and fitness. Ash shares her personal journey of navigating decades of yo-yo dieting, intense restrictions, and postpartum burnout before finally discovering that true health requires nourishing the body rather than starving it.The conversation explores the critical differences between men's and women's biological needs, diving into cycle-syncing nutrition, the reality of gut health testing (and hidden issues like leaky gut), and the danger of America and Australia's overconsumption of processed foods. Ash also breaks down the philosophy behind her 6-week program, which focuses on building lifelong, sustainable habits rather than chasing quick weight-loss fixes. Finally, Adrian takes Ash through his signature "Emotional Floor Plan." Ash reveals her intense but effective 4 AM morning routine, how she "habit stacks" breathwork and sauna time, and why her home gym serves as the ultimate calming sanctuary that allows her to be a better mother, wife, and business owner.Key Topics Covered:The Sauna Community: How shared wellness spaces foster deep, unexpected human connections and raw conversations.Escaping the Yo-Yo Diet Trap: Ash's journey from keto, carnivore, and juice cleanses to finding balance through proper, whole-food nourishment.Women's Health & Cycle Syncing: Why rigid diets often fail women, the importance of adapting to your 28-day hormone cycle, and insights from Fast Like a Girl. The Reality of Gut Health: Ash discusses her recent microbiome testing with Dr. Brad Leech and why "healthy" eaters can still suffer from internal inflammation. The 4 AM Routine: Why Ash wakes up before the sun to train, habit stack, and secure a "small win" before the daily chaos of motherhood begins. The Emotional Floor Plan: Why Ash's home gym is her most cherished, calming space, and how earning your rest through hard work creates true happiness. She knew how to lose weight. She just could not keep it off.In this episode, I sit down with Joanne, a 55-year-old high achiever who spent decades trapped in the same exhausting cycle so many women know too well: lose weight, gain it back, promise to start again Monday, then blame herself when nothing changed. She thought the problem was discipline. She thought she just needed to try harder. She thought she was the problem. But that was never the truth. What changed everything was not another diet, stricter rules, or more willpower. It was finally understanding what was actually driving her behavior with food in the first place.Since joining Live360, Joanne has lost over 20 kilos and, for the first time in her life, kept it off. But more importantly, she feels proud of herself. She feels free. She trusts herself again. In this conversation, we talk about: the hidden emotional patterns that kept her stuck for years why knowing what to eat was never the real issue how years of yo-yo dieting damaged her confidence what finally helped her break the cycle and why this has become about so much more than weight loss If you have ever thought, “Why can I succeed in every area of life except this?” this episode will hit hard.Watch my The Cravings & Fat-Burning Masterclass: https://www.neverdietagainmethod.uk/register-podcastFollow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/max.lowery/Book a Food Freedom Breakthrough Call: https://www.neverdietagainmethod.uk/call-ig
Send us Fan MailMaria starts Sabbath morning frustrated when little Yo-Yo “decorates” her dresser the hard way. At church, Mrs. Shue teaches the Shoebox Kids a powerful object lesson by turning the classroom into a principal's office—showing what respect looks like (and what it doesn't). Then Maria hears a new way to think about church: it's God's office, a place to be reverent because Jesus promised to be with His people when they gather. During the sermon, Maria chooses worship over notes, helps Yo-Yo sit still, and keeps her eyes open for Jesus' footprints.Talk about it:What does respect look like at home and at church? Why did Mrs. Shue call church “God's office”?What helps you pay attention during worship? How can you help a younger child learn reverence?Visit our website: kathyskidsstorytime.orgWe'd love to hear from you.To reach us quickly, click the “Send us a text” link at the top of the episode description.Or write to us by mail:Kathy's Kids StorytimePO Box 44270Charlotte, NC 28215-0043

Have you ever tried to lose weight…then got frustrated when the results didn't stick? That was certainly the case for my client Zohreh. She had tried different diets in the past, but none seemed to give her the sustained results she desired. Until she came to plant-based eating. Coming from many years of eating a pescatarian diet, Zohreh thought making this transition would (and should) be easy. But she ended up feeling lost and unsure of how to best eat on a plant-based diet, to reach her desired goals of losing weight and reducing her risk of diabetes, heart attacks and other health problems. After getting support through coaching though, this all changed. Staying plant-powered became workable and enjoyable, even while Zohreh continued to juggle a full-time job and long commutes. Listen in to this interview between Zohreh and I, recorded 9 months after we started working together. In this episode, you'll hear about her background, past weight challenges and some of the key positive changes she has enjoyed since moving into a whole food plant-based diet. Keto. Intermittent fasting. They all worked until they didn't. The moment someone planted a seed of doubt, he'd spiral into what psychologists call the "What the Hell Effect." One slice of pizza becomes the whole pie. Then the belief sets in: diets don't work. That belief was the real enemy. What changed everything was understanding that all human motivation comes from one thing: the desire to escape discomfort. Time management is pain management. Money management is pain management. Weight loss is pain management. Learn to manage the discomfort, and the game completely changes.
