Arny studied at both the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts in 1970 and then went on to further his skills at The Brooks Institute of Photography in 1974. After an initial period as an apprentice at Playboy, he joined Mario Casilli, Richard Fegley and Ken Marcus as the principal photographers at Playboy's California studio.At one time was Arny was one, of only two, photographers who produced the "Playboy Centerfold" photographs AND he holds the record for most centerfolds ever shot. 150 to be exact!
