When Jennifer King was named an assistant running backs coach for the Washington Football Team last month she became the first full-time Black female position coach in NFL history. Sam Rapoport, NFL Senior Director for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, has spearheaded a number of historic initiatives to create more opportunities for women in football, including one a few years back where King first met Ron Rivera, Head Coach of the Washington Football Team. King and Rapoport join this special Super Bowl episode to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day, and speak with RISE’s Erin Pellegrino, a former Special Teams coach at the University at Albany, about their football journeys, obstacles they’ve overcome, the importance of representation and how to create more opportunities for women in sports.
I talk about the latest from the NBA . I then talk about a great achievement by Jennifer King and what it means for women in the NFL --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Part 3 of RMC's coverage of George Washington. America is free of British Tyranny. But wait!!!! Here comes King Washington! Washington believed in American nobility, feudalism , despotic taxes and behind his outward stoicism was a megalomania hell bent on the perception of his legacy. While touting to be bipartisan, GW became the puppet of federalist Alexander Hamilton, who's policies nearly smothered the USA in the cradle. Washington was the only president to march his army on his own people and gave lip service to abolitionist while viciously hunting down his escaped slaves.
In this episode, I'm joined by Washington's Offensive Assistant Coach Jennifer King. We talk about the journey of her career and her remarkable scope of achievements and experience, the responsibilities that come with her new coaching role over in Washington and player safety. We speak about what Ron Rivera is like as both a coach and a man, the importance of having mentors and role models, the players Jenifer is looking forward to working with and more.
The Prodigal Son returns! Robert and Luis welcome BF founding member, Tyson Kelly, in studio. They discuss Tyson's musical start and his longtime original band, King Washington. They also discuss his start in the Beatle biz, the start and decline of (the precursor tribute band) Abbey Road, the beginning of Britain's Finest, and his future in the Beatle Biz.
We welcome back badasses King Washington to BS about touring, bicoastal residencies, their upcoming album, and they play us a currently unreleased track that is just perfect for the current political climate!
Robert, Louie, Benny and Jonathan talk about Tyson, King Washington, and what they're thankful for this year.
Paul LIddle and Kyle Boomer Return to the show & we talk with the Janks about how Garfunkel is a liar, books on tape, Everly Brothers, the proper use of Barista, writing in your car, checkpoints, what happens when you look at one another while filming, Best Buy rentals, elephants, Grease 2, Thailand, Third weddings, TJ Hooker, the advantages of not doing research. a personal comedy show by Chris Farley, putting thumbs on Bengal Tigers & finally fecal transplants. 1st Break Songs // Iron Tom "What Will Happen To All The Indie Stars" & King Washington "Don't Expect My Love" // 2nd Break Song - The Janks "Child Prodigy" // End of Pod Songs - The Janks "Old Enough To Be Your Father" and "Billy The Kid"
