Today's Promise: Jeremiah 29:13 God doesn't hide from you. He isn't avoiding you. He desires you to find Him. Seeking God always results in finding Him. No matter where you are in your walk with God, there is more to be discovered. There is a condition to this promise. You have to seek the Lord with all your heart. Half-hearted or part-time seeking won't bring you much success. When seeking after God's heart becomes your priority, you will find Him. When you find Him, you find everything you need.
Zephaniah 2:3 says this... “Seek the LORD, all you meek of the earth, / Who have upheld His justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden in the day of the Lord's anger.” Let's make this our mission today... to seek the Lord!

It can be easy to have doubts about our lives. In today's message, Pastor Johnny says you can't let this world shake you and seep in doubt of God. God's word lasts forever, when you trust Him, you have that assurance. Though the things of this world will call for you, you must stand firm, knowing your hope is found in Jesus alone.
Do you feel like there's a hole that can't be satisfied? Today, Pastor Johnny says the only way to fill that desire is through Jesus Christ. He'll give you purpose and hope for tomorrow. When you trust Him, He fills your soul with the desires of God. God's ways for your life are far more satisfying than the things this world promises.
Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore [NKJV]
Pieces of wood will bend until you put too much force on one side, then they snap. Today, Pastor Johnny says we must be flexible as the Lord shapes us. God's going to put you exactly where you need to be in life, but you must be flexible so He can continually shape you. When you feel stress and pressure, trust God fully for comfort.x

This will be a very practical and powerful teaching to help all of us obtain our inheritance in Christ. Everyone is called to come face to face with Jesus and our Father. The post How to Seek the Lord and Find Him appeared first on Jubilee Church.
God says in verse one, "Israel is an empty vine." The word picture is that of a flowing vine with every appearance of life and fruitfulness. After divine examination, the fruit God intended for that vine is not found on it. Nothing is as empty as the life that is given entirely for self-fulfillment. We are created by God for His purpose and His glory. Hosea chapter ten brings us to what should have and could have been in the lives of God's people.

St. Matthew includes an interesting detail in the account of the visit of the Magi: When the wise men announce the star signaling the birth of the King of the Jews, King Herod was troubled and "all Jerusalem with him." What is clear is that those who are closed to the coming of the Christ have troubled hearts. And those, who, like the Magi, seek and find the Christ, have joy. Let's be like the Magi!
What ominous warnings do we read in today's chapter in Zephaniah! They are a sequel to what we read yesterday – they are a challenge for us to act to make sure we are on the Lord's side – Now! Hopefully all those who read and know their Bibles' are already in the process of doing this. How awesome is this message, “before there comes upon you the burning anger of the LORD, before there comes upon you the day of the anger of the LORD. Seek the LORD, all you humble of the land, who do his just commands; seek righteousness; seek humility; perhaps you may be hidden on the day of the anger of the LORD.” [2 v.2,3] “The humble of the land” – the word ‘land' (Heb. ‘eretz‘ could equally be translated as ‘earth' as in the A.V.) It is a pity that the 2nd and 3rd chapters of this prophecy are not read in sequence, for while the rest of ch. 2 describes God's judgements on the surrounding nations “because they taunted and boasted against the people of the LORD of hosts. The LORD will be awesome against them …”[v.10,11], but then in ch. 3 we read where God says, “my decision is to gather nations, to assemble kingdoms, to pour out upon them my indignation, all my burning anger; for in the fire of my jealousy all the earth shall be consumed.”[v.8] At the same time God tells his own nation, they “shall not be put to shame because of the deeds by which you have rebelled against me; for then I will remove from your midst your proudly exultant ones, and you shall no longer be haughty in my holy mountain. But I will leave in your midst a people humble and lowly. They shall seek refuge in the name of the LORD, those who are left in Israel; they shall do no injustice and speak no lies, nor shall there be found in their mouth a deceitful tongue. For they shall graze and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.” [v.11-13] As a result, as the next verses tells us, “Sing aloud, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel! Rejoice and exult with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! The LORD has taken away the judgments against you; he has cleared away your enemies. The King of Israel, the LORD, is in your midst; you shall never again fear evil.”[v.14,15] Jesus is king! Are we on the brink of these events? We cannot say for certain, but the world scene is increasingly ominous. A fitting conclusion to our thoughts is v.28 of 1 John 2, our third reading today; “ … abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming.” Let us “seek the LORD, so that we may “have confidence” while the rest of the world feels his “burning anger.”

Isaiah 55:1-9 (NIV) “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. 2 Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare. 3 Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David. 4 See, I have made him a witness to the peoples, a ruler and commander of the peoples. 5 Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations you do not know will come running to you, because of the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor.” 6 Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. 8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. 9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
A close relationship with the Lord is built by dedicating time to spend with Him—day by day, year by year.

A real evidence of faith is persistent prayer. But why do we find it so hard to continue in prayer without giving up? The answer comes down to our focus - are we focused on our fears and doubts or are we focused on God and His Word? Join Nate and Gabe as they share how the heart that is intentionally gazing on the Faithful One, is the one who will be able to persevere in prayer until they see breakthrough. Faith is not something God expects us to muster up on our own. In fact, true faith doesn't come from us at all! It is precious to realize that faith is something God forms in us as we focus on Him, cultivating intimacy with Him through prayer and His Word. Do you want to increase in faith? Increase your time with the Faithful One and He will impart faith to you!Want to go deeper in studying this command of Christ? This is message 7 in the In Service of The House of The Lord series 2 Chronicles 11:13-17 In a time of widespread false worship, the Levites stood firm in their convictions, leaving behind their homes and possessions to worship the Lord in truth. Their dedication to seeking God not only strengthened the kingdom of Judah with their presence and knowledge but also inspired others, including King Rehoboam, to walk in the ways of the Lord, at least for a season. This example shows the power of unwavering commitment to God, even when it requires difficult sacrifices. King Josiah sought the LORD from a young age. He is an example for us and for our children.
As we turn 9 as a church family, Pastor Lorenzo speaks to the season we're in and calls us to consider what could be, as we seek to align our hearts with God's and ask Him to pour out His Spirit on our church and our city.
God tells us to ask Him for things in prayer! But why do we ask sometimes and not see anything happen? Often we ask but then give up too soon because things don't happen on our timeline. But all too often our asking is motivated by our selfish desires. The key to getting what we ask for is learning to ask and pray with a heart that is in alignment with and submission to the will of God.Faith is not something God expects us to muster up on our own. During Zephaniah's prophecies, Judah enjoys relative peace. But his message is dark! Why is that? Let's find out together as we read Zephaniah.
A farmer sows what he's hoping to harvest. In today's message, Pastor Johnny says that we will become whatever we sow. This means that what you believe in you'll end up doing. If you don't trust Jesus and depend on Him wholly, you'll end up following the things of this world. You must sow all God's plans for your life.

It's indescribable how God can love everyone. Today, Pastor Johnny says that God loves all the world. He loves you so much that He sent His son. But not just for you for all. There's a God who loves you wholly and wants what's best for you, so much so that He gave His only son so you could have eternal life with Him.

If we want to grow in faith, it is imperative that we ask ourselves - what competes with faith in our lives? What hinders us from being able to walk in faith? If faith comes by listening to the Word of God, then the reverse is true as well. Our faith is decreased when we listen to things that are contrary to the Word of God. Unbelief and doubt come into our lives when we give our ear to other things. What are you focused on? Your own opinions or the opinions of other people? The lies of the enemy? The phrase “I love you” gets thrown around often. Today, Pastor Johnny tells us what we love is what we'll end up worshipping. What you love ends up being your priority. Therefore, your priority should be God. He wants you to worship Him with all you have so you can bring others to Him. Worship Jesus with your whole heart today.

Augustine said: “Faith is to believe what you do not see. The reward for this faith is to see what you believe.” When Jesus commanded us to Ask in Faith, He also gave us an invitation - an invitation to draw near to the Faithful One and allow Him to persuade and convince us of His power and His ability to perform that for which we pray. The prophet Amos delivers a stern warning to Israel in Amos 5, urging the people to seek the Lord and live, rather than continuing in their hollow rituals and unjust ways. Through vivid imagery and powerful indictments, Amos calls out the nation's corruption, idolatry, and complacency, warning that divine judgment is imminent unless true repentance is sought. This chapter challenges us to reflect on the authenticity of our own faith and the righteousness of our actions, as we are reminded that God's justice will not be compromised. Amos, a simple shepherd and fig tree farmer from Tekoa, was called by God to deliver a powerful message to Israel—a nation steeped in corruption, injustice, and complacency. Unlike the professional prophets of his time, Amos was an outsider, chosen to proclaim a divine warning against the moral decay and social inequalities that plagued the northern kingdom. Through vivid imagery and uncompromising language, Amos called out the wealthy elite for their exploitation of the poor, condemned the nation's empty religious practices, and foretold the impending judgment that would come if they did not repent.
