Diego Lomba shares a message from Luke 3 as part of our series through the Book of Luke on Sunday, December 28th, 2025 at Kent Covenant Church.
In this Christmas message, Pastor Matthew explores Isaiah 9:1–7, the breathtaking prophecy that announced hope to a people surrounded by fear, war, and despair. Long before a manger in Bethlehem, God promised a Child who would shatter oppression, conquer death, and reign forever as Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. Step into the story behind the prophecy. Lean into the historical anguish of Isaiah's audience, the cosmic hope of the coming Messiah, and the personal assurance that Christ's light still breaks through every shadow today. When life feels dark, when fear, anxiety, or loss cloud your vision, remember: “the people who walked in darkness have seen a great light.” That light has come. His name is Jesus.

A sermon from Kelly Brady from John 1:14-18
What if the greatest love story ever told isn't a movie—but a moment when light broke into real darkness? In this Christmas Eve message, Pastor Adam Haugen invites you to look beyond familiar holiday stories and discover the deeper reason Christmas still matters. Whether your life feels calm and bright—or heavy and worn—this message points to the hope, peace, and new life found in Jesus, the Light of the World. If you're searching for meaning, comfort, or a fresh start this Christmas, this message is for you.
In the fourth and final episode of Promised & Fulfilled, hosts Greg and Nathan turn to one of the most hope-filled promises in all of Scripture. In “A Light to the Nations: Isaiah's Vision of Redemption,” they explore Isaiah 9 and the breathtaking declaration that a great light would shine on people walking in darkness. Spoken into a time of judgment, fear, and uncertainty, Isaiah's prophecy points forward to a coming King—one whose reign would bring peace without end. Greg and Nathan unpack how this promise finds its fulfillment in the birth of Jesus Christ, announced to the shepherds as “a Savior… who is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11) and revealed as the true light who overcomes the darkness (John 1:4–5). This episode explores: The historical and spiritual darkness surrounding Isaiah's prophecy The meaning behind the messianic titles: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace How Jesus embodies the light, peace, and righteous rule foretold by Isaiah What it means to live today in the tension of the “already and not yet” of Christ's kingdom As the series concludes, this conversation invites listeners to rejoice that the light has already come—and to live with hope as we await the full and final fulfillment of His eternal reign. “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light.” (Isaiah 9:2, ESV)

The Light That Brings Love
Message from Steve Holt on 12/21/2025
Christmas is the moment where the _____________ breaks the ___________________.[John 1:9] The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. When God reveals His _____________, nothing stays the _____________.[Micah 5:2] But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, are only a small village among all the people of Judah. Yet a ruler of Israel will come from you, one whose origins are from the distant past.God is never _____________.[Luke 2:6-7] And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born. [7] She gave birth to her first child, a son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them.God didn't _____________ for us to come to Him.[Philippians 2:6-7] Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. [7] Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form.Everyone is _________________ at the ________________.[Isaiah 59:2a] It's your sins that have cut you off from God.God's solution to ___________________ is a Person.[Luke 2:8-10] That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. [9] Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord's glory surrounded them. They were terrified, [10] but the angel reassured them. "Don't be afraid!" he said. "I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.God reveals His Light to the ones the world _____________.[Luke 2:15] When the angels had returned to heaven, the shepherds said to each other, "Let's go to Bethlehem! Let's see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."[John 1:12] But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.
A sermon by Kelly Brady from 1 John 1:9-13
In this powerful Advent message, Pastor Nathan invites us to encounter the love of God not as a concept, but as a living, pursuing reality. Drawing from the prophetic story of Hosea, we see a vivid picture of God's relentless love toward an unfaithful people. Just as Hosea pursued Gomer despite her betrayal, God continues to pursue us—meeting us in our brokenness, doubt, and wandering hearts. This message reminds us that Christmas is not merely about celebration, but about divine invasion: love stepping into darkness, pain, and rebellion to restore what was lost.More than information, this service carried an invitation to experience God's love personally and deeply. Pastor Nathan challenged the church to allow the Holy Spirit to expand our capacity to receive and understand God's love, even when circumstances or unanswered questions make it difficult. God doesn't withdraw when we wrestle—He draws near. As we approach Christmas, this message calls us to return, surrender, and receive, knowing that God rejoices over us with singing. Love didn't stay distant. Love came down—and He's still pursuing hearts today. For more on LifePoint Church go to lifepointaz.com Check out our merch store https://lifepointaz-shop.fourthwall.comFind all our links in one easy spot https://linktr.ee/lifepointaz Follow us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/lifepointaz Follow us on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/lifepointchurchaz/

In this message, we ask a simple but searching question: What is my faith actually in?From Psalm 121 and the story of Jesus calming the storm in Mark 4, we'll be reminded that hope isn't found in circumstances, strength, or control, but in a Person. Christmas announces that Jesus is the Light who enters our darkness, speaks peace into our storms, and invites us to trust Him with our lives. This message calls us to consider where we are looking for light, and to turn again to the One who alone can give the light of life.

The Light That Brings Joy
Even when you ___________________ God to move, you still have to ___________________ for Him.[Psalm 130:6 NIV] I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning.God often grows the miracle in ___________________ places before He reveals it in ___________________ places.Waiting ___________________ us while the thing God is doing in you is still ___________________ to others.[Psalm 27:13-14 NIV] I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. [14] Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.After the ___________________ comes the waiting.Faith is believing God is ___________________ even when you can't ___________________ it.[Matthew 1:19-21] Joseph, her fiancé, was a good man and did not want to disgrace her publicly, so he decided to break the engagement quietly. [20] As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. "Joseph, son of David," the angel said, "do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit. [21] And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins."How you _____________ while you wait says more about your ___________________ than how you act after God comes through.[Luke 1:46-49] Mary responded, "Oh, how my soul praises the Lord. [47] How my spirit rejoices in God my Savior! [48] For he took notice of his lowly servant girl, and from now on all generations will call me blessed. [49] For the Mighty One is holy, and he has done great things for me._______________ sustains your __________ while you wait.[Isaiah 40:29-31 ESV] He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. [30] Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; [31] but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
