What's up Everybody, welcome to another edition of the transition, a show aimed at demystifying the entrepreneur experience for those of you looking to make the transition from the military into entrepreneurship. I'm your host "IRON" Mike Steadman a Marine Corps Veteran, Social Entrepreneur, and member of the Bunker Labs Team. In the following episode, I interview my good friend and fellow Veterans-in-Residence Alumni, James Van Prooyen, a retired Air-Force Veteran and founder of the Military Podcast Network. James and I joined Bunker Labs around the same time, both eventually serving as City Leaders, and immersing ourselves in the military entrepreneur community. James is extremely passionate about podcasting and has been making rounds in the podcast community, attending conferences, workshops, and connecting with influencers. James opens up about what led him to podcasting, after transitioning from the Air-Force after 20 years of service. He gives insight into the podcast ecosystem and how he's managed to find his niche. James also talks about imposter syndrome, and how he's overcome it by launching multiple ventures, including his own veterans in business mastermind group. James discusses the importance of community, and how refreshing it is to be around other like-minded veterans, pursuing entrepreneurship as a way of life. James has a commanding voice and exudes inspiration. I hope that you enjoy hearing from James and that this episode helps accelerate you on your own entrepreneurial journey.

VP was the first ever guest on the show, which was fitting since he was the creator of the Military Podcast Network and inspired me to be a part of it. I brought him back at the 6 month mark to answer some questions regarding the start of the show and the future of the show. We got to discuss what we are looking forward to as the network grows as well as offer some advice to people who are thinking of becoming podcasters, DO IT! Lets take a listen and see what VP is talking about, On The Other Side!
This episode discusses why the show will be a benefit to Veterans and their families! We bring in James Van Prooyen, VP, to discuss how this show, as well as the Military Podcast Network came together! Danny Fleary discusses why he founded Veteranschanginglivesofamerica.org to help point the way to the benefits Veterans and their families deserve!
This is a very special episode for me to bring to the listener! Chris Krimitsos founded a podcast conference in the Tampa Bay area called Florida Podfest! It was this community as well as Tampa Bay Business Owners Organization that inspired not only this podcast but the Military Podcast Network! Learn more about why podcasting is so powerful! Check out podfest.us for the next podcasting conference!
James "VP" Van Prooyen was the guest in this episode. He is the creator of the Military Podcast Network and the reason On The Other Side exists today. It was interesting to see his vision and as we have come to execute it, the genuine goodness in it!
