Episode 123 AJ of Preserving Hardcore and FaceWreck AJ has been a pivotal part of the Pittsburgh Area Hardcore scene for a long time before he was ever given credit for it. Continuing from the Ty Dawson episode last week, we learn even more about the western PAHC scene. Through the trials and tribulations, AJ has come to be at the center of all the best hardcore punk activity in his home area. Taking his distro to a brick and mortar record store, then renovating a church just outside Pittsburgh, PA to be a Record Store and Venue that has 2 separate rooms under the name Preserving Hardcore, he has come to be the King who built his own castle. Bone Logistics (BBLG) stock price was up over 57% today after positive preclinical data in spine fusion trial. The medical device company is focused on bone regeneration. Phibro Animal Health (PAHC) stock was up almost 5% today. Recently, Barclays upgraded PAHC to equal-weight from underweight and announced a $23 price target. Finally, George Tsilis weighs in on the Clean Harbors (CLH) stock. Raymond James upgraded CLH to a strong buy from outperform and raised the stock price target to $125.

Z9! is a new side project formed by Richie Mancuso of Wisdom in Chains, The Post America Podcast, Krutch, Boxcutter and Comin' Correct. Episode 51. Bob Wilson. PAHC Legend In The Making. Bob Wilson may be one of the most passionate people in hardcore today. From his early teens he was obsessed with hardcore punk. Over time he would pull together his first band Let Down, an angry straight edge band from the suburbs of Philadelphia. They were absolutely the definition of "in your face" and antagonistic. This was the path for him for all that would come later. He would end up being in multiple bands, Mother Of Mercy, Beware and Malice At The Palace and his newest band Off The Tracks. Through touring he would eventually start helping bands play in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Later when he moved here, he began booking shows in the city as well. I mentored him and have always had his back, through personal life and with promoting and booking. After he moved to Florida, he would start FYA Fest with Sam from Triple B records. After 2 fests, Bob would take FYA from Orlando to Tampa and since 2015 has run it on his own. Bob Wilson through FYA Fest and now his own small label Rebirth Records, has mastered the art of finding young bands and put them in the proper position to gain attention. With his relationships with small labels etc, he's helped dozens of bands become nationally known. He is the embodiment of the DIY spirit in hardcore and has a passion that has outlasted most of his early naysayers. Episode 7 RICHIE KRUTCH, THE GODFATHER OF PAHC Richie Mancuso of Wisdom in Chains, better known as Richie Krutch takes us down memory lane in the early 90's NEPA hardcore scene. From house party shows while in high school, to the infamous Airport Music Hall in Allentown,PA and 100s of nazis at shows, Richie walks us through the beginning of Krutch, one of the most important Pennsylvania Hardcore bands, that would lay the foundation in the Keystone State for so many other bands, including Rich's current band Wisdom In Chains. Echoing previous guests' thoughts on that era of hardcore, we hear more on how bands networked to play out of their own scenes. Krutch would be a standard bearer for PAHC traveling out of state every weekend, and would eventually even garnish attention abroad. It is a great conversation with plenty of detail into the early days of Krutch and many of the great shows and venues of the era like Sea Sea's in Moosic, PA. This episode lays the foundation for much of the friendships that still exist over 25 years later, that explains how alot of the first connections amongst PAHC began. Richie is a Union Concrete Laborer and travels every day via bus from the Poconos to NYC, he has been doing this for over 25 years now. He still manages to write/record/ play shows and tour with Wisdom In Chains. He also runs the Post America Podcast with fellow bandmates Chris Mav and Jotham Oliver. He is also a part of Fastbreak Records and Crucified Straight Edge Clothing. He is a paragon in the PAHC community and is beloved across the world. His wit and calm demeanor and sense of humor has brought alot of attention to recent editions of the Post America Podcast under the subtitle "Voices From Quarantine" . On this episode, we go deep into one of the unsung heroes of PAHC, Chris Spear, Drummer of Dysphoria & How it Ends. Chris and Joe go through a huge portion of Chris's life from early moments finding Black Sabbath, to teaching himself to play drums. From the beginning of Dysphoria and all the little things from promoting pre internet, finding sources to produce tapes and later cds, you'll hear one of the people in the mid 90s to early 00s who always had his band's best interest in mind. Be it promoting the band at other shows and in record stores on the east coast, to calling promoters to get on shows, through his own booking of shows, Chris delivers an old school how to on just about every aspect of DIY band management, including booking US tours as an unknown independent band in '99. This tour would be a pivotal moment, not only for Chris and Dysphoria, but a life changing experience for Joe Hc, who credits this tour with being one of foundations of his being able to also tour and later book This Is Hardcore fest. Having been friends with Chris for 25 years, Joe and Chris have a more casual yet still informative conversation about all the ins and outs, the ups and downs of what it was like to make things happen in a pre internet music world. Vernon interviews Annie Hill , President of the Potomac Association of Housing Cooperatives. Vernon and Annie discuss her role as a leader in the cooperatives movement, the role cooperatives play in providing affordable housing options, and the Association's 41st Annual Conference, which will be held April 27 - 29, in Dover Downs Hotel. The Potomac Association of Housing Cooperatives, Inc. (PAHC), was founded in 1976 by representatives from 13 housing cooperatives and 1 condominium association. The primary objective of PAHC is to provide continuing education for its Board of Directors and members of cooperative communities. Ms. Hill has led the organization to become one the premiere cooperatives organizations in the Washington Metropolitan Region. The organization has sponsored three Baltimore City housing cooperatives, and representatives of PAHC served on each interim Board of Directors. They, along with other PAHC representatives provided new member orientation and extensive leadership training to each respective cooperative community.

On this week's episode I had the pleasure of sitting down with Brian "Buckles" Barlow to discuss everything from music to film to comedy to education. We also spoke about some student films and plays that he has been working on. Brian was the original drummer for Animalhaus as well as a handful of other bands. Buckles will be graduating with his masters this upcoming May and I couldn't be more excited for him. After many years being involved in the PAHC scene, alot has changed for him over the years as with all of us. Thank you again for taking the time to sit down with us Brian.
