Peter Wilt's career has centered on the growth and stabilization of soccer in this country, and his body of work has led to the success of Indy 11 and the Chicago Fire among many of his accomplishments. As the discussion continues, the Cosmos still face uncertainty about the future home of the club, with this likely being the last season played at Hofstra University and Shuart Stadium. Regardless, IT IS GAME DAY in Cosmos Country, as the Cosmos head to Wakemed to take on the Carolina Railhawks as one of four matches slated for Wednesday around the NASL.

Ruben's pass to David Diosa provided the only assist of the night in a 1 - 0 win that has the New York Cosmos perched atop the NASL Fall and Overall standings in the NASL. The guys welcome Ruben Bover for his first appearance of this season on the show, and certainly offer praise to the 24 year-old Spanish native who hasgrown tremendously over the last year. From the MVP of the inaugural Cosmos B season, to becoming a pivotal piece of the first team, Bover's composure and ability becomes more evident with each start. The Cosmos host the Edmonton Eddies this weekend at Shuart Stadium with a 7 PM kickoff, leaving the team with only two remaining home games to play down the stretch. Alexis has spent time with the U-17 and U-18 U.S Men's squads, and has been with the Cosmos since August of 2015. The Cosmos escaped Ft. Lauderdale with a point after the 0 - 0 draw, leaving them on top of the NASL fall table by 3 points, while maintaining a 4 point lead in the combined standings. With two home matches on back-to-back weekends against Minnesota and Edmonton, the Cosmos look to continue to set the pace towards the playoffs. Jimmy started his Cosmos career with a clean sheet in 2013, and he is now the modern-day record holder in the NASL with 33 shutouts. Ej and Frank also discuss the NASL table after this past weekend of play, as the Eddies find themselves atop the spring standings, and also on top of the overall standings. Emotions were at a peak at Shuart Stadium this past Saturday, for not only the players but the managers as well. Colin Campbell was sent off the pitch for arguing with the officials, and Coach Gio was more than critical of the referee with his halftime comments. This week the guys welcome back Jimmy Mulligan to the show, as the Medford, Long Island native recently returned to the Cosmos after a stint on loan with Swope Park of the USL. Jimmy had an influence on the second goal for the Cosmos that tied the match at the time against Tampa, sending a brilliant cross in to the box that eventually led to a Cosmos penalty kick conversion from Adam Moffat, his second of the match. The Cosmos make their first trek to Puerto Rico this weekend for their match with the expansion side, hoping to re-produce a similar result to their first meeting this year, in which the Cosmos came away with three points.

This week on #IntotheCosmos, hosts Ej Garr and Frank Dell'Apa review last weekend's 2 - 2 draw with Carolina, and get you prepared for the San Antonio Scorpions visit to Shuart Stadium on Saturday. In review of the match at Carolina's Wakemed Park, the Cosmos earned a draw in stunning fashion, entering the 90th minute down 2 - 0, completing the comeback with a goal from Andres Flores with only seconds remaining in extra time. He also earned a spot on the NASL team of the week. Flores is our guest this week on the show, as he discusses the goal to pull the match level, while giving us some insight on his time with the El Salvador national team. Currently, he is the only Cosmos player who will be serving international duty over the summer, as World Cup qualification and Gold Cup competition are among the events taking place. He discusses the pre-season stop in his native El Salvador and the excitement for the upcoming trip to Cuba for the Cosmos. We then prepare everyone for the match this weekend vs the San Antonio Scorpions, as the Cosmos enter the weekend up three points in the standings, with only three matches remaining in the spring campaign.

With Edmonton in town this week, the guys have the pleasure of interviewing the head coach of the Eddies, Colin Miller, who has had a tremendous career as both a player and coach, and if you listen to his advice, you can learn what he looks for in a player. We also speak with the Captain of the Atlanta Silverbacks, Simon Mensing, about his career in Europe, and his first season in the NASL with the club.
