And now, Arena has just finished guiding the Revolution to the most successful regular season in MLS history. The Mane Land: for Orlando City SC fans

Orlando City lost its fourth straight match on Saturday and yet somehow it felt a lot less terrible than some of the other recent losses. The league-leading New England Revolution are formidable, especially in their own building (with the awful football lines and plastic grass), but the Lions did play mostly well in the match. We break down the game, including some tough bounces, calls, and slips that helped the Revs get the 2-1 result. And yes, we do discuss penalty kicks as well. And, as usual, we select our Man of the Match. The Orlando Pride got clobbered 3-0 at OL Reign and while a result on the other corner of the continent against a team in good form was never going to be easy, it sure seemed at least possible until the opening whistle blew. Orlando's slow starts cost them dearly in this one and it wasn't until the game was out of reach when the Pride started playing soccer. This week's mailbag asked whether former FC Dallas coach Luchi Gonzalez could join Oscar Pareja and Luiz Muzzi in Orlando, who from the Pride should be poached for a professional co-ed soccer club, and which players would be the ideal starting XI for the upcoming USMNT qualifiers. If there's anything — and we do mean anything — you want us to address on the next show, just ask by tweeting it to us at @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC. We close the show with our key match-ups and score predictions for Orlando City at Nashville SC tonight and vs. D.C. United at Exploria Stadium on Saturday. That's all for this week. Stay safe and enjoy the show! Here's how No. 265 went down: 0:15 - Orlando City lost again but didn't look nearly as bad as some recent matches and at least the Lions finished with 11 men, which is kind of an improvement. 34:17 - The Pride got blown out in Washington state, our mailbag confuses and perplexes us, and we try to predict what's going to happen at Nashville and at home against D.C. The Mane Land: for Orlando City SC fans

Orlando City is sliding down the mountain right now and needs to find its ice axe to try to arrest its rapid descent before something catastrophic happens. The Lions had two matches in the past week and while they stopped scoring goals on themselves, they still can't stop the other team from doing it and they also seem averse to finishing with 11 men on the pitch. None of this is particularly good but we have to talk about it anyway. We do, but under protest. The Orlando Pride, meanwhile, were off this week for the international break. Alex Morgan was an exception though and she was exceptional in scoring a hat trick in the second of two friendlies against Paraguay. Her performance Tuesday night hopefully has her confidence soaring ahead of the Pride's trip to play OL Reign this weekend. It's the most difficult road trip remaining in the regular season and coming home with any points would be a huge step toward the NWSL postseason. This week's mailbag was quite full, with questions about Orlando City's current form, the fact that no one could seemingly stand up last Wednesday vs. Montreal, movies that set the tone in the first scene, and more. If there's anything — and we do mean anything — you want us to address on the next show, just ask by tweeting it to us at @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC. We close the show with our key match-ups and score predictions for Orlando City at the New England Revolution. That's all for this week. Stay safe and enjoy the show! Here's how No. 264 went down: 0:15 - Orlando City continues to be bad at soccer at the moment and we're hoping they decide to be good at soccer again soon. 33:29 - The USWNT scored a whole lot of goals against Paraguay, we had a pretty full mailbag, and we've got our key match-ups and score predictions for Orlando City's trip to the awful building known as Gillette Stadium. Jay Heaps is an American former professional soccer player who is currently the President and General Manager of Alabama-based USL Championship team Birmingham Legion FC. Following four years as a double-athlete at Duke University - he competed with both the Men's soccer team and Men's basketball team (under Coach K) and won the Hermann Trophy (best college soccer player) - Jay made the transition to professional soccer in the MLS beginning at Miami Fusion. After two seasons there, where he won MLS Rookie of the year, Jay moved to New England Revolution, where he spent the rest of his playing career making a total of 243 appearances. In addition, Jay earned 4 US men's national team caps, all coming in the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Since retiring from soccer in 2009, Jay wasted no time in pursuing careers off the field. He spent two years at Morgan Stanley as a private wealth manager before heading back to soccer as manager of the New England Revolution, where he remained until 2017. Jay Heaps (@JayHeaps722) talks to Markus Fjørtoft (@markusfjortoft) and Ciaran McKenna (@ciaranmckenna8) about an extraordinary career molded by both natural and applied excellence. Jay's innate talent coupled with an extreme competitiveness has allowed him to succeed as both a player, coach, wall street wealth manager, and now in the dual role as President and General Manager at newly-started USL Championship team Birmingham Legion.
