Hour 1 The Yankees' power surge and "torpedo" bats dominated weekend sports talk, overshadowing the Mets' quiet offense and solid pitching, though Francisco Lindor's annual slow start raised concerns. Meanwhile, the Yankees' sweep of the Brewers sparked debate, with Gio jokingly comparing the bats to steroids. Other highlights included Jeff Conine's Marlins Hall of Fame induction coinciding with his son's home run, a Timberwolves/Pistons melee, and the Jets' decision to start Justin Fields. Off-field, Suzanne Somers' husband's robot tribute and Morgan Wallen's abrupt SNL exit, fueled by speculation about "wokeness" and his dislike of NYC, also drew attention. Hour 2 Gio's charity bartending experience highlighted the challenge of finding game broadcasts in public venues, while Boomer embarked on a cleanse for an upcoming hockey tournament. The Yankees' "torpedo" bats remained a hot topic, and the YES Network head criticized Comcast during a booth appearance. Jerry's update featured Dave Sims' call of a Judge home run and his odd TMZ encounter, prompting Gio's skepticism. The Knicks' victory over Portland and Gio's daughter's struggling soccer team provided lighter moments, while Dodgers pitcher Roki Sasaki's emotional dugout appearance concluded the hour. Hour 3 Deion Sanders' new Colorado deal dashed hopes of him coaching his son elsewhere, prompting improbable Cowboys scenarios. NFL draft speculation intensified, particularly the Giants' potential moves, while the Jets' strategy remained a mystery. The conversation veered into pyramid technology theories before Jerry's update, which featured Jazz Chisholm and Aaron Judge highlights, Dave Portnoy's Yankees bat rant, and Francisco Lindor's slump. The Knicks' victory and Mike Tomlin's Rodgers comments were noted, culminating in a discussion about trampoline park hygiene, with Gio expressing concerns about ball and foam pit cleanliness. Hour 4 With the Real ID deadline approaching, travel plans were discussed alongside Gio's guest bartending event, where Peter Schwartz's appearance and Pat Boyle's potential football career were highlighted. Eddie's UFL experience and Jerry's update, featuring Giants draft anticipation and NFL owner meeting comments from Aaron Glenn and Mike Tomlin, filled the sports segment. Jazz Chisholm and Francisco Lindor's performances were analyzed, followed by the Knicks' victory. The day's "Moment" focused on a Suzanne Somers robot, concluding with the YES Network/Comcast dispute.

Hour 1 Today is the 23rd anniversary of 9/11 and we opened with our thoughts on the topic. We also talked about the importance of sports right after that and how it brought people together including the Mike Piazza HR. Gio couldn't believe how some of the Jets fans on air here were so negative, considering how positive they were last season as soon as Rodgers went down. This week they play the Titans and Boomer said they are a better team than people think they are. The Jets are a favorite on the road and that's because of the QB in Tennessee. They can't start 0-2. They now play a string of quarterbacks that aren't great. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with the Mets losing to the Blue Jays as David Peterson had a tough night on the mound. The Yankees also lost as they were shut out by Seth Lugo and the Royals. Benches cleared last night in Philadelphia between the Phillies and Rays. Aaron Rodgers was on with Pat McAfee and said to come along for the ride but if you jump off now, don't come back. Joe Benigno was not happy with the defense. Chris Russo said Saleh will be fired if the Jets are 1-4. Carl Banks said LT thought they could have grabbed 22 of the Giants' legends and played better Sunday. In the final segment of the hour, Jerry asked Eddie about smelly teenagers on the Warm Up Show. Hour 2 Boomer has a gift for Gio and it's some sort of Vikings hoodie. Boomer wonders if we should give Daniel Jones some slack for coming back from his injury earlier than we thought he would and he's playing with a bunch of new guys. Gio said he lost the benefit of the doubt because he has been bad for most of his career. Boomer thinks Rodgers and the Jets will bounce back this year and that Rodgers will have a good year. If he doesn't, Jets fans are not going to like his weekly appearances with McAfee. Gio thinks the Jets negativity is too high considering it's week 1 and they lost to the defending NFC champions. Jerry is here for an update and starts with the sounds of the Yankees getting shut out by Seth Lugo and the Royals. The Mets also lost to the Blue Jays, 6-2, as David Peterson had a rare bad start. Aaron Rodgers was on with Pat McAfee and Jerry has the clips. Carl Banks talked about the Giants performance. Jerry Jones talked about money curing any ill feelings during contract negotiations. In the final segment of the hour, there was an odd interaction between Barstool Eddie and Dan Bernstein at The Score in Chicago. Hour 3 Phil Simms joins us and Gio said Phil is very muscular. He's all jacked up. Phil was at the game along with the other Giants legends and said the Vikings looked better, faster and very well coached. Phil said Daniel Jones was making decisions way too fast. Phil also gave his impressions on Aaron Rodgers' first full game as the Jets QB. He was disappointed in the offense that they didn't throw the ball down the field enough. Phil thought Tom Brady did well for his first time doing a game on TV. Jerry returns with an update and starts with Aaron Rodgers on with Pat McAfee talking about the Jets not having the ball for enough time in week 1. The Yankees were shut out by the Royals. The Mets lost to the Blue Jays and are now tied with Atlanta for the final Wild Card spot. Patrick Beverley talked about playing in Israel and he said it's paradise everyday and people worry about him but he said it's great. In the final segment of the hour, somebody hung up sports leagues magnetic standings on the wall and it looked odd. Boomer thinks it looks ‘cheap and dopey'. Gio said there are a lot of guys in sports talk that don't want to grow up. Gio said Evan and Sal are still holding tight to their childhood. Hour 4 During the commercial break, Gio took down all of the magnetic standings that were put up on the walls at WFAN. Boomer thought they looked cheap and dopey so Gio tore them down. We also talked about Michael Kay and John Flaherty bickering in the booth and people thinking they had a problem. ...
During the commercial break, Gio took down all of the magnetic standings that were put up on the walls at WFAN. Boomer thought they looked cheap and dopey so Gio tore them down. We also talked about Michael Kay and John Flaherty bickering in the booth and people thinking they had a problem. Gio watched Tony Romo with Bryson DeChambeau on his YouTube channel and he couldn't believe how disheveled Romo looked. He said Romo looked like he slept in a tent and dressed from a Salvation Army bucket. Jerry returns for an update and reads some mean comments about Tony Romo. We also heard from postgame sound from the Mets after losing to the Blue Jays. Gio has video of Boomer farting in his backswing and all of that was Moment of The Day. In the final segment of the show, tomorrow night the Bills play the Dolphins and there will be more talk about this game because of the Tyreek Hill incident.
In this episode of The Deal, Jason Kelly and Alex Rodriguez discuss the 15th anniversary of the 2009 New York Yankees World Championship and why it was an emotional day.
