We've had a lot of fun in Season 11 of ATTT. We've met a lot of awesome people and had many of them on our show for the first time. In that spirit, we'd like to close out with some epic fun. The man behind the big beautiful Nord keyboard that brings the band Mighty Love the essentials is none other than this week's special guest Tim Battig. Tim knows his way around a keyboard, be it piano, organ, or synth; and while the definition of the term "epic" is subjective, Timmah knows his epicness. This episode featuring Timmah Ball is part of Six Walks an audio walking tour series commissioned by ACCA – Australian Centre for Contemporary Art. Find bio, access notes, images and further information here: https://acca.melbourne/six-walks-episode-five-timmah-ball/ ABOUT THIS EPISODE: Hidden between parkland and suburbia along the Maribyrnong River, a 128-hectare site formerly occupied by the Australian Defence Force lies vacant as government planners and private developers speculate its future use. Timmah Ball takes us on a walk around the periphery – considering the colonial history of the site, its use by the military in producing explosives and ammunition, its eery abandonment in the present-day, and predicted future gentrification. Considering the resonance between the military history of the site and the unprecedented limitations imposed upon Melbourne during COVID-related lockdowns, Timmah asks, as the city begins to open again, what futures can we imagine as we walk past the site’s forbidding walls? Timmah Ball is a nonfiction writer, researcher and creative practitioner of Ballardong Noongar heritage. Read the extended bio via the link above. Curator: Annika Kristensen Audio technician: Simon Cotter ABOUT THE SERIES: Six Walks has been conceived to be ideally listened to in situ, with headphones on a personal mobile device. Maps, directions and access notes are available with each walk to assist with orientation. ACCA reminds participants to be aware of their surroundings and to adhere to road safety guidelines at all times. Please note that when undertaking a walk, participants must assume personal responsibility for any liability, injury, loss, or damage in any way connected with their experience of Six Walks. Six Walks can also be listened to from anywhere and at any time and Text versions of each walk are available for download. ACCA acknowledges the support of Creative Victoria in the development of the Six Walks series.

Australian cities face a range of environmental challenges. Do ever-taller concrete towers pose a threat to the sustainability of our vibrant inner cities? What can we do to protect and preserve green or culturally significant public spaces, especially on our expanding urban fringes? And how do we develop new ones? A new generation of Aboriginal architects, designers and leaders is making significant contributions to these issues. Jefa Greenaway, director of both Greenaway Architects and Indigenous Architecture and Design Victoria—and the first registered Indigenous architect in Victoria—works to connect the Indigenous community to the built environment, and vice versa. Timmah Ball is a mixture of things: an urban planner, a writer and a community arts worker. She grew up in Melbourne but her heritage, on her mother’s side, is Ballardong Noongar from Western Australia. She is a member of the Clean Air and Urban Landscapes (CAUL) Hub Steering Committee. Hear Jefa, Timmah and moderator Dr Cathy Oke—knowledge broker at the CAUL Hub—for an inspiring discussion, and discover how Aboriginal culture and knowledge can improve our urban places and spaces.

While I made light of Ezry being missing on the last show, it really does bother me. I guess I thought if I took it to seriously, it would really mean she was gone. I always did deal with serious issues with humor first. I think I have come to the conclusion that she isn't coming home. I know it has only been a week but I feel like I need to mourn her and move on. We had Ezry for 10 years. She was our first pet, and I loved her very much. Nothing would make me feel better than to be proven wrong by the universe and to have her bound out of nowhere and back to us, but the reality is, we had a wonderful 10 years together and her memory will be with me always. I love you Ezry, no matter where you are, I hope you are at peace. We Miss You.
Just me on this one, NO NO Don't run away, it's just butterfly kisses and marshmellows for you guys. Just a 10 minute shorty to let you know that we are still here......Have a great weekweekend. -Tim
