MAY. 15, 2026Rest in your redemption."By this you shall know that the living God is among you." Jos 3:10 NKJVAs the Jordan River swelled to a mile in width, crossing it was no small task.Especially with millions of people! God said, "Go over this Jordan, you and all this people" (Jos 1:2 NKVJ). Do you think they were scared? Would you have been? "The feet of the priests who bore the ark dipped in the edge of the water" (Jos 3:15 NKJV). It was the smallest of steps, but with God, the smallest step of faith can activate the mightiest of miracles. As they touched the water, the flow stopped as if someone had shut off the water main. Next, we read: "All Israel crossed over on dry ground" (v. 17 NKJV). By performing this miracle, God wanted them to know: "By this you shall know that the living God is among you." For Joshua's people, assurance came as they stood on dry land looking back at the Jordan. For us, assurance comes as we stand on the finished work of Christ and look back at the cross. Let the cross convince you. Be settled about God's faithfulness. The psalmist describes a person of faith this psalmist describes a person of faith this way: "He is settled in his mind that Jehovah will take care of him" (Ps 112:7 TLB). Life has many unanswered questions, but God's promise to save you needn't be one of them. "He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?" (Ro 8:32 NKJV). Rest in your redemption. The past is past. Your future is bright.Rest in your redemption Let the cross convince you.Share This DevotionalSend us Fan MailSupport the showChanging Lives | Building Strong Family | Impacting Our Community For Jesus Christ!
Dear brothers, I beg you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to stop arguing among yourselves. Let there be real harmony so that there won't be splits in the church. I plead with you to be of one mind, united in thought and purpose. For some of those who live at Chloe's house have told me of your arguments and quarrels, dear brothers. Some of you are saying, “I am a follower of Paul”; and others say that they are for Apollos or for Peter; and some that they alone are the true followers of Christ. And so, in effect, you have broken Christ into many pieces. But did I, Paul, die for your sins? Were any of you baptised in my name? I am so thankful now that I didn't baptise any of you except Crispus and Gaius. For now no one can think that I have been trying to start something new, beginning a “Church of Paul.” Oh, yes, and I baptized the family of Stephanas. I don't remember ever baptising anyone else. For Christ didn't send me to baptise, but to preach the Gospel; and even my preaching sounds poor, for I do not fill my sermons with profound words and high-sounding ideas, for fear of diluting the mighty power there is in the simple message of the cross of Christ. I know very well how foolish it sounds to those who are lost, when they hear that Jesus died to save them. But we who are saved recognize this message as the very power of God. For God says, “I will destroy all human plans of salvation no matter how wise they seem to be, and ignore the best ideas of men, even the most brilliant of them.” For it is from God alone that you have your life through Christ Jesus. He showed us God's plan of salvation; he was the one who made us acceptable to God; he made us pure and holy and gave himself to purchase our salvation. As it says in the Scriptures, “If anyone is going to boast, let him boast only of what the Lord has done.” (1 Corinthians 1.10-18, 30-31, TLB)
Now you have every grace and blessing; every spiritual gift and power for doing his will are yours during this time of waiting for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. And he guarantees right up to the end that you will be counted free from all sin and guilt on that day when he returns. God will surely do this for you, for he always does just what he says, and he is the one who invited you into this wonderful friendship with his Son, even Christ our Lord. But, dear brothers, I beg you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to stop arguing among yourselves. Let there be real harmony so that there won't be splits in the church. I plead with you to be of one mind, united in thought and purpose. (1 Corinthians 1.7-11, TLB)
If you've tried accountability groups, special software, Christian counseling, and even snapping a rubber band on your wrist, and you're still stuck in sexual sin, the answer isn't to try something new. It's to go back. Back to your first love. In today's sermon, Residential Counseling Director Luke Imperato expounds on 1 Corinthians 13 and how it proves that God's love can break the chains of sin. Recorded LIVE at our 2026 Beginning of the Year Fasting & Prayers (Day 3) our Senior Pastor, Rev Dr Femi Paul, led the church in prayers focused on making the most of every great opportunity in 2026. The emphasis of the day was not merely on open doors, but on readiness, wisdom, and grace to maximise every divinely orchestrated opportunity God brings our way. To make the most of opportunity is to maximise it through preparation, discernment, and timely action. As opportunities open in 2026, we will do good, we will do very good, and the Lord will be glorified. Scripture Readings: JOHN 5:5-7 (NKJV) JOHN 5:7 (TLB) 2 CHRON 1:7 (NKJV) 2 CHRON 1:10 (NKJV) 2 CHRON 1:11-12 (MSG) PROV 12:27B (AMP) MATT 25:28 (NKJV) GAL 6:10A (NKJV) Prayers: Father, prepare me to maximise every opportunity You open before me in 2026. I receive divine wisdom to act rightly and timely. I will do good and produce strong testimonies, in Jesus name. Amen.
In this powerful message, Pastor Joey unpacks the truth found in 1 Timothy 6:9–10 (TLB)—a reminder that the desire for wealth can trap and destroy, while a life surrendered to God leads to blessings far greater than anything money can purchase.
NOV. 5, 2025The traits of a champion."For I know the plans I have for you... plans for good...to give you a future and a hope." Jer 29:11 TLBSports psychologists have identified six recurring traits that are common to Olympic gold medalist athletes. These traits of a champion apply to both men and women, but they are also dominant factors in the lives of those who succeed in non-athletic vocations as well. Let's look carefully at each trait and see what we can learn. (1) Self-analysis. The successful athlete knows their strengths and weaknesses, and engages in a critical appraisal that is honest but never negative.(2) Self-competition. A winner knows that he or she can only control their own performance, so they compete against their own best effort and not that of others. (3) Focus. The champion is always "in the present," concentrating on the task at hand.(4) Confidence. Successful athletes control anxiety by setting tough but reasonable goals. As these goals are reached, their confidence increases. (5) Toughness. This is a mental trait that involves accepting risk and trying to win, rather than trying not to lose. Awinner sees change as opportunity, and accepts responsibility for their own destiny.(6) Having a game plan. Even the best athletes know that talent is not enough; they must have a game plan. And here is the good news: You can develop these six traits. You say, "Where can I get a game plan for my life?" From the God who loves you and says in His Word, "For I know the plans I have for you...plans for good...to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen" (vv. 11-12 TLB).The traits of a champion A game plan for your lifeShare This DevotionalSend us a textSupport the showChanging Lives | Building Strong Family | Impacting Our Community For Jesus Christ!

At today's Warfare Wednesday service, Pastor Femi Paul declared that worship is our weapon for warfare! In this brief but powerful exhortation titled “Devotion to God Through Worship & Service,” he taught that true devotion is more than religious activity; it is a heartfelt, consistent loyalty to God shown through reverence, obedience, and service. Drawing from Philippians 2:20–22 (MSG), PFP described Timothy as “the real thing - a devoted son” who genuinely cared for the things of Christ, not personal gain. Such devotion, he explained, is what God desires from every believer, a life that prioritises Him above all else. PFP highlighted that devotion is expressed through worship, prayer, and selfless service. It requires yielding one's time, energy, and resources to God, not out of duty but out of love. From 1 Timothy 4:8, he reminded us that while physical discipline profits a little, devotion to God pays eternal dividends, bringing blessings in this life and the next. As Isaiah 58:14 (TLB) affirms, those who delight in the Lord will “ride high” and enjoy their full share of covenant blessings. PFP concluded by urging the church to strengthen their devotion - make worship and service not just acts of faith, but weapons of victory that move the hand of God in every battle. Lord, I choose devotion over distraction. Teach me to serve You faithfully and worship You wholeheartedly. As I delight in You, let me rise higher, walk in victory, and enjoy the fullness of Your blessings. Amen.
OCT. 1, 2025Your emotions matter to God (1)"We don't have a priest who is out of touch with our reality." Heb 4:15 MSGEmotions—we all have them. Some we enjoy, some we endure. The question is, what does God say about how we should handle them? "Count it all joy when you fall into various trials" (Jas 1:2 NKJV). "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger...be put away from you, with all malice" (Eph 4:31 NKJV). "Be...full of sympathy toward each other" (1Pe 3:8 TLB).God has appointed designated seasons for us to weep, laugh, mourn, love-and even hate (See Ecc 3:1-8). Does He demand that we instantly and completely control all our emotions? No. Instead He makes Himself available to transform our hearts and character, so we can manage our emotions in ways that exalt Him. Rather than providing a manual on emotional self-management, He comforts, encourages, convicts, and reorients us by patiently inviting us to do this: "Let him have all your worries and cares, for he is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you" (1Pe 5:7 TLB).Even painful feelings can provide opportunities to develop a deeper relationship with our heavenly Father. It also helps to remember that we're created in the image of an emotional God, and His Word indicates that He sees our feelings as fundamentally good. Even anger, an emotion commonly deemed pejorative, can glorify Him when we handle it in unselfish ways. It's not about what we feel, it's how we handle those feelings. And God can give us the grace to turn any emotion into an attribute that glorifies Him.Your emotions matter to God"Let him have all your worries and cares."Share This DevotionalSend us a textSupport the showChanging Lives | Building Strong Family | Impacting Our Community For Jesus Christ!
“And because of what Christ did, all you others too, who heard the Good News about how to be saved, and trusted Christ, were marked as belonging to Christ by the Holy Spirit, who long ago had been promised to all of us Christians. His presence within us is God’s guarantee that he really will give us all that he promised; and the Spirit’s seal upon us means that God has already purchased us and that he guarantees to bring us to himself. This is just one more reason for us to praise our glorious God.” (Ephesians 1:13–14 TLB) In biblical times, when goods were shipped from one place to another, they were stamped with a waxed seal and imprinted with a signet ring bearing a unique mark of ownership. Important royal documents were sealed in wax and imprinted with the royal seal. No one other than the intended recipients would dare open them. That’s the context for the apostle Paul’s words in Ephesians 1:13–14. The Holy Spirit seals us. That means God has put His imprint on the lives of all believers. So, the devil comes along, ready to ruin a life—until he sees the imprint that reads, “Property of the Lord Jesus Christ.” And suddenly his options are limited. There’s only so much he can do to someone who’s been sealed with the Holy Spirit. You’ll also notice that Paul says the Holy Spirit’s “presence within us is God’s guarantee” (Ephesians 1:14 TLB). The Holy Spirit’s presence in our life guarantees our inheritance until we actually claim it. Think of it in terms of a deposit. Let’s say you want to buy a car. You find the model you want to buy. To get it, you must put down a deposit. A deposit is a show of good faith—evidence that your intent to buy is real. Now let’s look at it in terms of salvation. God says, “Because you believe, you will go to Heaven when you die.” You say, “Well, that’s great. But it’s hard to fully grasp.” So, God says, “I want you to know that I’m serious, so I’m going to give you the Holy Spirit as a down payment guaranteeing your inheritance.” It’s called proof. We all want proof that God is at work in our lives. It’s great if someone else has proof, but we all want personal proof to know that God is working in us. If you’ve received Christ as Savior and Lord, God has placed the Holy Spirit in your life. Has your life changed for the better since you began your personal relationship with Christ? Do you sense the Holy Spirit’s presence in you, giving you strength that you never had before? Do you have a peace in your life that you’ve never known before? If so, you have proof that God’s Holy Spirit is at work in your life. And you have assurance that your inheritance is waiting. Reflection question: What proof do you see that God is at work in your life? “The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.” (John 6:63 NLT) When you became a Christian, you did not do so by your own act of will. Yes, you believed. But it was the Holy Spirit who convicted you. The Holy Spirit showed you your need for Jesus. And the Holy Spirit ultimately converted you. That’s why Jesus said, “The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life” (John 6:63 nlt). And it’s why He said, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life” (John 3:5–6 NLT). Because the work of the Holy Spirit is so vital, the devil targets it in his attacks against us. More specifically, he tries to make us question the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives. He tries to make us doubt what we know to be true. He tries to make us ask, “Was I really converted?” Unfortunately for us, the devil’s timing is usually impeccable. He prowls around after we’ve made a regrettable decision or given in to a troublesome temptation. He’ll try to make us feel like frauds, “pretend Christians.” He’ll raise doubts in our minds about whether the Holy Spirit really worked in our lives. He also tries to make our Christian faith feel like a burden or an obligation, or tries to make us believe that we’ve outgrown our faith—that it’s something that belongs in our past. Anything to distance us from the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We need to recognize the devil’s strategies and the lies behind them. The apostle Paul wrote, “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38–39 NLT). The Holy Spirit personally gives us the assurance that Christ has come into our lives. Paul also wrote, “For his Holy Spirit speaks to us deep in our hearts and tells us that we really are God’s children” (Romans 8:16 TLB). That is the wonderful inner conviction and witness of the Holy Spirit. You just know that you belong to Christ. It’s hard to explain to someone who hasn’t experienced it. But it’s as real as the breath you’re drawing right now. I have that conviction in my heart. Do you? Has the Holy Spirit given you the inner conviction that, yes, you are a child of God? SEP. 9, 2025You will never be perfect enough (2)"By that one offering he made forever perfect in the sight of God all those whom he is making holy." Heb 10:14 TLBAuthor Dorothy Littell Greco writes: "For some perfectionists, the fear of making a mistake results in a sort of paralysis, causing us to agonize over every decision...To help you discern if [perfectionism] has crept into your life...consider the following questions:(a) Are you comfortable asking for help or only offering it? (b) Are you able to receive appropriate criticism without getting defensive? (c) Do you have a nagging belief that you are falling short of some illusive standard? (d) Do you harshly critique yourself? (e) Are you able to experience joy?An absence of joy might be one of the best indicators [of] perfectionism. It slowly squeezes the joy out of life by reducing creativity, accentuating mistakes, and making us slaves of success." The truth is, no matter how hard we struggle, we can never be perfect enough to satisfy the sin debt against us. And we don't have to be! "Christ gave himself...for our sins as one sacrifice for all time and then sat down in the place of highest honor at God's right hand... For by that one offering, he made forever perfect in the sight of God all those whom he is making holy" (vv. 12, 14 TLB). Notice: When God makes you perfect, it's going to be for forever, and once you get your head wrapped around that truth, it will change your life. Gigi Graham Tchividjian says, "We don't have to be perfect to be a blessing. We are asked only to be real, trusting in His perfection to cover our imperfection, knowing that one day we will finally be all that Christ saved us for and wants us to be."You will never be perfect enough The fear of making a mistakeShare This DevotionalSend us a textSupport the showChanging Lives | Building Strong Family | Impacting Our Community For Jesus Christ!

(NIV) Matthew 7:3-5 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. (NIV) 2. THE BROACH OF NOT SERVING Mark 10:45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. AUG. 8, 2025Seeing yourself through God's eyes (1)"We are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus." Eph 2:10 NIVIf you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Most of us could come up with a long list! The fact is, Jesus alone holds the world record when it comes to perfection. In the words of Jennifer Dukes Lee: "Until you are convinced of God's incredible love...you will continue looking for replacement love everywhere but in the heart of Christ. No matter where you live or work...the enemy prowls like a lion, stalking people on Wall Street, fashion runways, suburban cul-de-sacs, [and] Facebook walls... [We're] in a showdown with Satan, who will use every opportunity...to whisper in our ears, 'What are people thinking of you?' [He] will tell you you're too fat, too frumpy, too stupid, too poor. He will do whatever he can to set your affections on the things of this world, instead of on Christ. And he'll wrap those accusations in glossy magazine covers if he has to." Don't buy into his lies. Jesus said, "There is not an iota of truth in him...he is the father of liars" (Jn 8:44 TLB). One Christian author summarizes it like this: "Discontentment is one of the big giants we must conquer if we ever hope to enjoy life...We may not have all we would like to have, but we certainly have more than some people. No matter how you think you look, there is somebody who would love to look like you. No matter how old you are, there is someone who would love to be as young as you…Love yourself and love your life; it is the only one you have!" The truth is that you're the only you, God made... after that, He broke the mold!Seeing yourself through God's eyes He broke the mold!Share This DevotionalSend us a textSupport the showChanging Lives | Building Strong Family | Impacting Our Community For Jesus Christ!
A recent survey reveals that nearly 1 in 4 Americans has no emergency savings, and more than a third had to tap into their savings just to get through the past year. Even more sobering, Bankrate reports that only 46% of U.S. adults have enough savings to cover three months of expenses, while 33% have more credit card debt than they do in emergency savings. The numbers are alarming, but they don't have to define your future.Laying the Foundation: Live on Less Than You EarnBefore we talk about building wealth or making investments, we must start with the foundation: living on less than you earn. It's the bedrock of biblical financial wisdom. As John Maxwell put it, “A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” Without a plan, it's easy to drift. But a budget anchors your finances and gives every dollar a purpose. That's where the FaithFi app can help—offering a practical tool to craft a spending plan rooted in biblical values.Proverbs 6:6–8 urges us:“Go to the ant, O sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise. Without having any chief, officer, or ruler, she prepares her bread in summer and gathers her food in harvest.”The ant doesn't wait for a crisis—it stores up in advance. That's what budgeting does. It's not about restriction; it's about preparation and wisdom. Why Investing Comes NextOnce you've created margin through budgeting, the next step is investing. Why? Because while money sitting in a checking account loses value due to inflation, investing allows your resources to grow through the power of compound interest. As Proverbs 21:5 (TLB) says:“Steady plodding brings prosperity; hasty speculation brings poverty.”Wise investing isn't about chasing trends—it's about faithful, consistent action over time.Maybe you're thinking, “I don't make enough to invest.” But consider this: If you invest just $100 a month starting at age 25, earning an 8% annual return, you'll have over $300,000 by age 65. That's the power of small, faithful steps over time. And today, getting started is easier than ever. Roboadvisors, such as Schwab Intelligent Portfolios or Betterment, offer diversified, user-friendly platforms that require minimal financial knowledge.Wealth With a Purpose: Stewardship, Not Self-SufficiencyRemember: financial freedom isn't independence from God—it's dependence on Him with wisdom. Deuteronomy 8 reminds us that even the ability to produce wealth comes from the Lord. As Proverbs 13:11 teaches:“Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it.”God doesn't call us to perfection—He calls us to faithful stewardship. Why do we budget, save, and invest? So we can live with margin, give joyfully, and bless others. Wise financial decisions position us to participate in God's Kingdom work—not just provide for ourselves. So if you're feeling stuck, start small:Build a budgetCreate marginSave a littleInvest a littleTrust God with the processOver time, you'll be amazed at what He can do through your faithfulness. On Today's Program, Rob Answers Listener Questions:My friend is interested in investing directly in Israel's stock market—how would they go about doing that? In this no-bullshido episode of Hoots on the Ground, Adam Hoots hangs out in Kyoto, Japan, with the one and only Thomas LaMay, a project leader at DPR Construction who's got Lean systems and people-first thinking down to a science. What starts as a chat about bucket list experiences at the International Group for Lean Construction (IGLC 33) turns into a full-on masterclass on designing better production systems—and better lives for the people doing the work. Thomas dives into the importance of caring for the people on the job, from the simple things (like clean port-a-potties and shaded break tents) to big ideas like integrating Mental Health First Aid, and team health assessments. The two explore how systems thinking, Last Planner System®, Takt planning, and location-based management aren't just tools—they're opportunities to make construction more human. Key takeaways include: Respect for people starts with the basics — Clean toilets, shaded break areas, and rest show genuine care for those doing the work. Design your system or someone else will — Intentional production systems (with flow, visual signals, and collaboration) beat chaos every time. Mental health is a safety issue — Treat it with urgency, awareness, and proactive tools like mental health first aid and daily empathy walks. This one's for every builder who gives a damn about people more than just deadlines. Because, as Thomas says, “If you don't design your production system, someone else will—and you may not like what they choose.” ABOUT HOOTS ON THE GROUND PODCAST:The Lean Builder's absolutely, positively NO Bullshido podcast. At our Premium Worship and Prayers service, our Senior Pastor, Pastor Femi Paul, taught on the powerful subject “DIPSYCHOS”, the Greek word for Double Mindedness. Drawing from James 4:8 and James 1:7-8 (NKJV), he highlighted how a double minded person - undecided, wavering, or torn between loyalties - becomes unstable and unable to receive from the Lord. This message unpacks the dangers of inner conflict: struggling between faith and doubt, or trying to serve both God and self. Double mindedness leads to spiritual inconsistency, instability, and a lack of breakthrough. Through Psalm 119:113 in various translations (AMPC, TLB, CEB), PFP emphasised God's clear dislike for fickleness in devotion and called the church to a place of clarity, focus, and faithfulness in our walk with God. The message was a soul searching invitation to align our hearts with God's word and will. We then entered into a powerful time of worship, offering up worship before God's throne, with a singular purpose to lift Him above everything else.
In this episode of Debtwired, SMBC Americas' Ben Millard joins Debtwire's reporter Melina Chalkia to break down how the aviation debt markets have evolved post-COVID, from loyalty-backed financings to the emergence of aircraft CLOs. With airlines still focused on deleveraging and preserving credit ratings, Millard explains why non-traditional collateral like frequent flyer programs has become a mainstay in new deals and how investor appetite remains strong despite recent turbulence in the sector.Millard also explores the rise of aviation ABS and CLO issuance, highlighting SMBC's role in several landmark transactions, including the American Airlines mileage-backed TLB and Carlyle's aircraft ABS. He touches on restructuring dynamics in the sector, as well as what geopolitical risks like tariffs could mean for aircraft financing.Millard is a Director in the Transportation Department at SMBC Americas. SMBC has been a key player in aviation lending for a long time. SMBC is one of the largest financers of the new economy, from data centers to real estate, offering a debt-focused franchise with a global lens, according to Millard. SMBC Americas has evolved into a corporate and investment bank, while maintaining its efficiency in commercial banking and continuing to diversify its business model to best suit clients.
In the 28th message of our “Unveiling Yahweh” series, we will be looking at God's probationary system. God has set up earth-life as a testing ground to prepare us for eternity. To many, this concept may seem strange or unfamiliar, but a thorough examination of Scripture confirms this idea. In today's message, Steve Gallagher explains three aspects of God's probationary system to help us see the significance of our daily decisions. We start a new segment of Leviticus, looking at what is “clean” and “unclean” for the Israelites. We must remember that “unclean” is not necessarily bad, it just means that it is not holy or fit for use in worship of God in the tabernacle. Being “clean” or “unclean” was a designation related to someone's ability to participate in the worship at the tabernacle. If you were “unclean,” you had to go through the cleansing process to become “clean” in order to enter the tabernacle courtyard. It was all about being set apart and prepared to approach the Lord. In this Bible study, we look at the first of 5 chapters on cleanliness, looking at what foods are clean and unclean. Outline:06:16 - Overview of Leviticus 11-15Leviticus 11 - food - what is clean and may be eaten, and what is unclean and not to be eatenLeviticus 12 - cleanliness and purification after childbirthLeviticus 13 - skin diseases, fungus & moldsLeviticus 14 - cleansing skin diseases, fungus & moldsLeviticus 15 - discharges causing uncleanness01:17 - Why are these chapters on cleanliness here? Why are they so odd at times? What was their purpose? Why did all this even exist in the first place - IT MAKES NO SENSE. Give me just a few minutes and I will give a quick explanationThe principal duties of the Israelite priesthood1. Distinguish between the Holy and the common2. MAY. 28, 2025When you feel blah."Where there is no vision, the people perish." Pr 29:18The word "perish" conjures up images of deterioration and decay, like fruit rotting from within. On what specific day does passion leave a marriage or a worker lose interest in a job that once excited them? Like air leaking silently out of a tire, what was meant to carry our weight and to power us toward our destiny can now barely wobble. If that's how you're feeling now, read this promise, and let it take root within you: "He gives power to the tired and worn out, and strength to the weak. Even the youths shall be exhausted, and the young men will all give up. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint" (Isa 40:29-31 TLB).The great apostle Paul told his admirers, "We too are only human, like you" (Ac 14:15 NIV). We are all made of the same flawed material. That's why we need God's strength and mercy newly bestowed on us each day (See La 3:22-23). So, what should you do when you're feeling blah? Two things. First, if you're physically tired-rest. Second, think about how God's family works and stop isolating. The Bible says, "Carry each other's burdens" (Gal 6:2 NIV). The fact is, you have given to others in times past, now have the grace and humility to receive from them. Reach out. Use your connections. Start reading God's Word. Listen to uplifting music and fill your space with praise. When you do these things, your focus will change, and your faith will start to rise. When you feel blah We are all made of the same flawed material.Share This DevotionalSend us a textSupport the showChanging Lives | Building Strong Family | Impacting Our Community For Jesus Christ!

At today's Midweek Service, Pastor Femi Paul continued the powerful series on “Learning, Unlearning & Re-learning” with a message titled: “Learning from the Past – Pathway to Game-Changer Results in Life!” Drawing from 1 Corinthians 10:11 (TLB & MSG), he highlighted how the Bible provides not just spiritual instruction, but also real-life lessons. The past, both ours and others' is full of warning markers and object lessons meant to guide us away from error and toward wisdom. Pastor made it clear: Fools don't learn because they're too in love with their own opinions. Quoting Proverbs 12:15 and Proverbs 18:2, he challenged us to check our hearts—Are we truly teachable? he contrasted the wisdom of the teachable with the stubbornness of fools. Wisdom doesn't just come from age or experience — it comes from humility and the willingness to learn. When we ignore the lessons of the past, we risk repeating the same mistakes over and over again. But when we learn from history, we can break cycles, shift outcomes, and become true game-changers in life.

Matthew 27:45-46 From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. 46 About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli,[c] lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”) (NIV) 1. Choose to be real while still being reverent. Matthew 11:28-29 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (NLT) 1 Peter 5:5-9 - “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” 6 So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. 7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. 8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 9 Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. (NLT) 2. Choose to rest in what you do understand as you wrestle with what you don’t understand yet. Isaiah 55:8-9 - “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. 9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (NIV) Romans 8:18 - I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. (NIV) Romans 8:28 - And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[b] have been called according to his purpose. (NIV) 4. Choose to worship rather than worry. In the 15th message of our "Unveiling Yahweh" series, we will be learning about God's strength in our spiritual battles. The history of Israel shows us something crucial about living the Christian life. When we trust and obey the Lord, He will help us conquer our spiritual enemies. But when we don't rely on Him, we are bound to continue in one failure after another. This week, Luke Imperato provides three lessons from Israel's history to instruct us in our spiritual battles today. Governed by Christ's love for us."For the love of Christ constraineth us." 2Co 5:14The most powerful incentive to overcoming sin is not our love for Christ, but His love for us. Even with the best of intentions, our love for Him is subject to fluctuations. Jesus said to the church in Ephesus, "You have left your first love" (Rev 2:4 NKJV). He said to the church in Laodicea that their love had become"lukewarm" (Rev 3:16). Many of us grew up in churches where we were told that the reason we yield to certain carnal traits is because we don't love the Lord enough. So, we try harder, without success, and get discouraged. That's like putting the cart before the horse. It should be the other way around. The secret of victorious Christian living is not found in trying to love Jesus more, but in having a revelation of His love for you. That's why Paul wrote, "The love of Christ constraineth us." Paul's actions were governed by the knowledge of Christ's incredible love for him. If you're struggling with sinful habits today, pray for a revelation of God's love for you. It makes all the difference! Paul writes: "I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts...as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love; and may you be able to... understand... how long, how wide, how deep, and how high his love really is; and to experience this love for yourselves, though it is so great that you will never...fully... understand it. And so at last you will be filled up with God himself" (Eph 3:17-19 TLB).Governed by Christ's love for us A revelation of His love for youShare This DevotionalSend us a textSupport the showChanging Lives | Building Strong Family | Impacting Our Community For Jesus Christ!

What would happen if I gave God one year? Money tells the story of our hearts. Money Talks Matthew 6:21 // For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. If you'd like to change where your heart is, change where your money goes. Matthew 6:24 // “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” How can you know if your love for money competes with your love for God? You think your money belongs to you. Psalm 24:1 // The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. Giving is what you do with your leftovers. Stingy Stealing You think this sermon is stupid. I have no place to store my crops.' 18 “Then he said, ‘This is what I'll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. 19 And I'll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”' 20 “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?' 21 “This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.” Consumption Assumption: The assumption that everything that comes my way is for my consumption. 5 Things You Can Do With Money: 1.
