This Week on Talkin' TV, Jackie and MJ almost derail everything by tryin' to talk books, including the book on which Six Schizophrenic Brothers was based, but Holden brings it back to the screen with his review of Eli Roth's "Thanksgiving" and then it comes back to the 1993 Pauly Shore classic "Son In Law" as all paths in life do. Jackie makes a plea to the fans for some Christmas horror movie recommendations, and gives her thumbs up to "Emperor's New Groove" after not seeing it during her rebellious teen years. Max brings the dark takes of Florida nationwide with "It's Florida, Man" which gives a hilarious and horrifying visual reminder of how stupid people truly are, Jackie finally watched the movie "Bad Trip" and enjoyed it far more than she expected despite her hatred of pranks, Holden chunkin' up the new Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS World Tour and is watching a baseball documentary, which instantly makes Jackie audibly upset, unless it's the one about Dock Ellis pitching a 0 hitter on acid. MJ admits they owe Martha Stewart an apology after watching "Maratha", Jackie finished Penguin and having no Bats convinces the Bat-Burnt out Holden to give Penguin a chance, Jackie goes back to Taskmaster and Taskmaster Jr, plus this week of Talkin' TV wraps up with a journey back into the crypt of sadness known as the Golden Bachelorette! Remember when we did this with Himouto! Umaru-chan and Neo Yokio back in 2020? Of course you don't because we had only two listeners at the time and one of them was me making sure Craig didn't screw up our audio. Well, we're trading shows again except this time with the intent not to make the other person suffer! We've grown weak and flabby with the shame of a frail constitution if this is our behavior now. Anyways, Audrey gave The Devil is a Part Timer and Matt gave Kaguya-sama: Love is War and one of these shows got A LOT of discussion and the other one was just "yeah it's alright might watch the next season" so I wouldn't be too excited if you really like both of these shows. Listen to this episode to hear some ABSOLUTE CRINGE HIGH SCHOOL ROMANCE STORIES, find out why Yu Ishigami should be your spirit animal, and learn about the shame of working at your local McRonald's. I am Jami Amerine, don't forget to enter our short story fiction contest, your remarkable thoughts could win prizes and wonderful opportunities to get your thoughts heard! Stay tuned at the end of this episode for more details! This week's remarkable thought is inspired by a story I wrote called... take a beat, take a breath, and listen in... Rosa Martines pulled the kitchen door closed, shoved, and turned the key in all 5 locks. She reached on her tippy toes and tugged at the worn rope of the security gate. Her tired bones, raged against her as she bent to lock the gate and struggled to pick up her dinner, two Tupperware containers she'd filled with beans. Arepas, pulled pork, and the last of the day's tamales. The old woman audibly growled as she stood and arched her aching back, satisfied her corner of 9th and Main was secure... Good friends share everything, right? They share their favorite food, their personal problems, and even their favorite shows and movies. Well, Brad and Matt are the absolute GOODEST (I KNOW that's not a word spell check, jeez) of friends and they're sharing their garbage taste with one another. Enter these two shows with whiny protagonists that our hosts just can't stand. Matt hates Neo Yokio and Brad kind of sort of dislikes Umaru-chan. Find out how Brad became slightly nauseated watching Umaru-chan, why Neo Yokio really needs to install some sort of anti-aircraft defense system, and just how much complaining one little weeb can make about Studio Deen. It's a discussion for the ages! ...Or maybe just until the next episode.

Top officials from around the world met in China today to hear more about their Belt and Road Initiative — a reboot of the Silk Road to improve global trade routes. Here in the US: President Trump was also talking to the NRA about international trade. Of firearms. That was good news for the gun lobbying group, which has been going through a rough spot. Also on today’s episode: a fishy beverage option at the London marathon, and a cheesy celebration for the new royal babe.
It’s been a little while since the whole Mane Six was together for a single episode, so it’s time for a mini-adventure!
