By comprehending and eliminating our defects, we produce the awakening of the consciousness within dreams. This is the sacred return of the soul to divinity within this very life, without needing to physically die. We can competently navigate the higher worlds, the internal dimensions, and receive direct guidance from the Being through profound meditation and spiritual practice: (see Dream Yoga and Astral Travel). On every Saturday the 13th, we can perform the Spiritual Practice with Melchizedek, supplicating to the genie of the Earth to guide us in the path of mystical death. Such a process radically awakens the disciple during the normal hours of sleep, so that the soul can personally converse and commune with divinity with joy, inspiration, and spiritual healing.

“Complete meditation is not about feeling good— it's about getting real,” writes Andrew Holecek in his book, Reverse Meditation: How to Use Your Pain and Most Difficult Emotions as the Doorway to Inner Freedom. From this lens, meditation intended only to feel good falls short of what's possible when we tune into and turn toward ourselves. This week's conversation focuses on reverse meditation, which is a deliberate turning towards difficult thoughts, emotions and physical pain. And with this new perspective, reverse meditation give us the opportunity to relate to our mind instead of from it. This week, we sit in the tub with Mars: Secular Sabbath collaborator, folk herbalist and earth lover. Mars inspires us by outlining the path she went through on her journey in coming back to herself and her culture through herbal healing. As she went on to help others heal themselves through her Dose of Diosa community, she guides people through remembering, a term which carries bespoke meaning for Mars.Through exposing the people around her to their states of remembering, Mars speaks to moments of sharing with women, bringing themselves back to nature through learning about the healing properties of everything the Earth has to offer us. Mars shares how powerful these rememberings have been in what she calls “shifting consciousness.”Mars recounts her journey in reconnecting with her heritage of the indigenous people of El Salvador, starting with an intimate tea ceremony as an inspirational healing practice. The intuitive feeling that grew from this personal healing is what drove her to her purpose: plant healer and teacher. Starting out by attending events with her own blend of herbal teas, Mars spread her mission of guiding people to have safe spaces with nature from walks to plant medicine ceremonies. She learned entrepreneurship through trial and error, and in this conversation, she tells stories of where she has been (from working at an insurance company) to where she is going. After discovering her passion for healing, Mars continues to explore new avenues in which she can further this self awareness by exploring her dreams. Referencing our own Secular Sabbath Book Club read, Dream Yoga, Mars explains how dreams can further this remembering, and dreams also express areas of her inner psyche. Spaces that are open for healing. As Mars recounts her experience of living a conventional 9-to-5 life in hopes of changing and rewriting her indigenous history, she finds through her remembering that the Earth has always given her everything she needed. Join the esteemed master of dream yoga, Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, in a rich exploration of the nocturnal meditations. The conversation begins with why Rinpoche has elected to teach so extensively on this topic, which is rarely emphasized by Tibetan lamas. Why should busy Westerner's bother with dream yoga, what does it have to offer us, and what does it mean to accomplish this practice? Rinpoche talks about how his teaching of dream yoga has changed over the years, before elaborating on all the new content in the 2nd edition of his classic book, The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep. The discussion turns to how dream yoga develops flexibility in identity, and why this is so important, before transitioning into the difference between adapting a teaching vs. editing it to suit egoic needs. If teachings aren't culturally translated and adapted, they go extinct. But if you adapt them too much, the teachings are diluted. How does one establish dream guardians, and create a protection circle for dreaming? Do we need to believe in spirits, and what are the consequences if we don't? How can you tell if a dream figure is just a projection of your mind, or a real entity? Rinpoche then discusses the role of the subtle body, and the importance of the central channel, before turning to how the subtle body shapes our dreams. How can we work with the subtle body during the day to facilitate lucidity at night? What's the best thing to do just before falling asleep? Can we use the subtle body to incubate dreams?Dream yoga, and the subtle body, “break all the rules,” and help us live outside the box of the gross body, and our exclusive identification with it. Rinpoche exhorts us not to limit ourselves to the outer body, which grows old, gets sick, and then dies. Transition your identity to a deeper aspect of your being that does not age, get ill, or die. See for yourself why Rinpoche is the premier voice in the world of dream yoga today.

Going to a dream dictionary is not enough to provide clarity. Instead, students often become perplexed when relying on contradictory explanations and subjective readings rather than their own consciousness. While numerous books about dream interpretation exist, genuine understanding of our inner experiences arrives when we practice meditation. As the science of acquiring information beyond our ordinary senses, meditation teaches reliance upon divinity and spiritual facts. Rather than confuse oneself through a multitude of conflicting ideas about dream symbols, practical meditators do not need others to decipher their unique, subtle, and idiosyncratic visions. Dream interpretation establishes a deeply personal relationship with divinity, which is why dependency on others to unveil our inner life is unnecessary and counterproductive. With enough meditative training, one gains enough intuition, confidence, and certainty in the truth of their perceptions.

It's my first minisode, and in this short episode I'll talk about why the first thing you should do in your yoga business is to get really really clear on what your dream yoga business would look like?! Get clear on your why? What's your 'why'? Well of course, this will be to share the love that is yoga and help people. But how do you want to work, when do you want to work, would you like to be a full-time or part--time yoga teacher, and how much money would you like to earn? In my 6-month Prosperous Yogini mentorship programme this is the first thing I'll ask you to get really clear on. When you tap into your 'why', you begin to step into the flow of why you are on this path, you say yes to the things you are meant to do and stop agreeing to work that leaves you feeling frustrated or unsatisfied. As dream yogis develop familiarity with astral projection, dream recall, and awakening consciousness, there remains the difficulty of interpreting experiences. Practitioners must know how to discriminate what they perceive, the spiritually real from the illusory ego, through three spiritual parameters: Imagination (perceiving a dream), Inspiration (recognizing dream symbols), and Intuition (comprehending their meaning). Since divinity communicates through the language of parables, interpreting dreams also requires a profound, practical understanding of the cosmic laws upon which they are based: philosophical and contrary analogies, correspondences, and numerology. By meditating upon these factors in combination with the psychological impression of a dream, one acquires insight into its significance.

Ep. 39 (Part 3 of 3) | Lucid dreaming expert, author, “curiouist,” and integralist Andrew Holecek explains how lucid dreaming opens the door to a greatly expanded understanding of our minds, our perception of reality, and human potential altogether. If we consciously explore our night lives practicing dream yoga, we can learn how to discard our habits, purify our karma, and discover beyond a shadow of a doubt that we are co-creators of our experience. What we do in dream yoga is not limited to nighttime action; it weaves back into our daytime lives, and ultimately our experience of dying. Andrew describes how dreams are a powerful way to discover emptiness and openness, and fall into reality—like falling into love—our primordial contraction cast away. Besides being a life-changing discourse on the incredible potential of dream yoga, Andrew Holecek's cheerful, well-informed, easy way of talking and teaching about lucid dreaming—relating it also to the wisdom traditions, our sense of identity, and human evolution—makes this a real pleasure to listen to. Ever have recurring dreams? There are ways to recognize and utilize them to spark your awakening. Internal experiences do not have to occur sporadically, but can be deliberately initiated and sustained. Likewise, there exist methods to consciously return to a dream that has just occurred. By relying on our inner divinity and a repeating dream symbol (unique initiator element), we can activate mystical states in an intentional and lasting way.

Many people dream at night, but do they remember? Learn practical techniques to remember any dream, why dream recall is important, and how to record your deepest spiritual experiences, thereby cultivating a rich internal life.
All religions directly teach the need to awaken yet are indirect regarding how. Discover the Key of SOL: a practice for amplifying, clarifying, and strengthening the consciousness. Through developing self-awareness in daily life, one transfers this same skill during the unconscious dream state. Learning how to question one's immediate states, environment, and locale allows for conscious recognition that one is dreaming. In this manner, one opens the doors of investigation to spiritual realities beyond the body.
Yoga Nidra coaxes your body into deep restorative sleep while your mind, like a night-blooming flower, opens to formless awareness. Based on the teaching of Swami Jnaneshvara Bharati, this includes a complete body relaxation, 61-point exercise, and ascending breath practice. Yoga Nidra deepens meditation and unhooks the neuro-conditioning that keeps you stuck. Studies show regular practice alleviates stress, PTSD and improves wellbeing.
Andrew Holecek is an author, teacher, and a renowned expert on meditation, lucid dreaming, and dream yoga. We dive into how increasing your awareness during sleep can have profound benefits for your life. In fact, it might just help wake us up from the "dream" of the waking state itself... Despite applying spiritual exercises, many individuals struggle to achieve conscious astral projections. Rather than dismiss the practices as ineffective, students can identify hindrances to their dream yoga discipline and learn to systematically address them. By identifying common obstacles to astral projection and applying their remedies, practitioners can eventually learn to consciously astral project at will.
World religions emphasize the potential of sacred sound to empower spiritual action. Through harnessing energies activated through the divine verb, we can consciously facilitate the process of astral projection and intentionally experience the dream world with lucidity, familiarity, and ease.
While we astral project every time we sleep, are we conscious of the process? Just as our body naturally performs many functions without our intervention, we likewise enter the world of dreams every night without intending it. Through proven and effective techniques, take advantage of the delicate transition between wakefulness and dreaming, thereby transforming a mechanical process into a conscious one. By training our perception to maintain mindfulness while our body rests, we can investigate the higher dimensions with full lucidity, serenity, confidence, and control.
Today's episode is an energetic dive into the healing potential of the nighttime mind with Charlie Morley. Charlie is the author of several much-loved books on lucid dreaming, including his newest: Wake Up to Sleep: 5 Practices to Transform Trauma and Stress for Peaceful Sleep. Charlie guides us in two practices: a powerful protection practice inspired by the Bön tradition of Dream Yoga, and a simple Yoga Nidra practice, meant to help reset the nervous system. Both help create a safe and supporting space for overcoming insomnia and getting a good night's rest. We also explore what he's learned about supporting veterans – and regular folks – with PTSD, how to renegotiate our nightmares, and the role lucid dreaming can play in all of this. These are fascinating practices; we had an animated and wide-ranging discussion. To go straight to Charlie's 7 minute sleep protection practice, it starts at 21:30 and ends at 28:20. Ryan J Burton is a Meditation instructor & the Host of a podcast called After Awakening. He has been on multiple meditation retreats that have helped him deeply understand why incorporating meditation into his lifestyle was game changer. We talk about the benefits meditation can bring to your life and emotional state. As humans, we have a series of experiences that happen in linear time, which have a beginning and an end, that makes up our life. Meditation can awaken you to be able to understand life beyond the construct of our 3d reality, and see life from a higher, more accurate perspective. We can become in touch with who we are behind our thoughts and emotions and dissolve the boundaries of what and who we think we are. Mindfulness meditation and formal sitting meditation are just two of the many ways to practice meditation. Different forms and schools of meditation have different goals, and benefits. We encourage everyone to find their own path and personal practice. Ryan also talks about Dream Yoga, a form of meditation that can help enhance dreams and lucidity. Dream yoga is a practice of combining meditation with sleep, particularly while first falling asleep, in the hypnogogic state, or when you first wake up and experience the hypnopompia state. You experiment with dream meditations and study your mind using the medium of dreams. As you pass in and out of the border of consciousness, and dreams come and go, Dream yoga meditations can help you realize the clear light of consciousness that lies beneath it all. Ryan mentions Samadhi, the highest state of consciousness one can achieve through meditation. Lucid Dream Artist David Green details his process for creating art while dreaming. Dave uses Wake-Induced Lucid Dreaming to maintain awareness as he falls asleep. While asleep, he separates from his body and draws in a dream studio. Upon waking, he immediately recreates the drawing by memory. Conversation references Daniel Love's book, “Are You Dreaming: Exploring Lucid Dreams: A Comprehensive Guide.” And explains the difference between a Dream-Induced Lucid Dream and a Wake-Induced Lucid Dream, how to prime the situation, several induction methods, and taking control of the dream. Host Christopher Miller and Dave Green share their ideas on expectation, dream patterns and symbology, and the importance of facing your emotions during a dream. References are made to Andrew Holecek's book “Dream Yoga” and David Eagleman's book on brain neuroplasticity, “Livewired: The Inside Story of the Ever-Changing Brain.” How does our subconscious affect our dreams? Can our nighttime visions predict the future? What is behind the power of dreams? Listen and learn. For more information on Dave Green, visit his website https://dave-green.co.uk/ and see his work on Instagram @davegreen5000.
