Skip predicts that Kevin Durant, who has no more drive and refuses to be any team's “savior”, will end up riding the coattails of Victor Wembanyama in San Antonio. Skip then calls out Dak Prescott for his weird comments about winning a Super Bowl, why Russell Westbrook shouldn't be a 1st-ballot Hall of Famer and that 'That Carter VI' will be remembered as a musical masterpiece. “If Kevin Durant joins the Spurs, are we looking at the next unstoppable dynasty—or just another NBA fever dream?”In this sizzling episode of The Ben and Skin Show, hosts Ben Rogers, Jeff “Skin” Wade, Kevin “KT” Turner, and Krystina Ray serve up a full plate of sports, satire, and sizzling hot takes—starting with a mouthwatering shoutout to Twisted Root Burger Company and ending with a deep dive into the NBA's most tantalizing trade rumors. The crew kicks things off with a hilarious, chef-style breakdown of burger customization (“Put me an onion on that hoe. Yes, chef!”), before pivoting to a controversial headline: the Texas Rangers remain the only MLB team without a Pride Night. KT's reaction? Priceless. “Why did y'all make me the gay one?” he jokes, pointing out the awkwardness of using a player's photo in the coverage. From there, it's all about hoops. Bill Simmons' spicy take that Kevin Durant might already be headed to San Antonio sparks a passionate debate. Could KD and Wemby form the league's most terrifying duo? Would the Spurs really keep the No. 2 pick and still land Durant? And how does this all compare to the Mavericks' infamous Luka trade?
So, did we discuss the NBA Finals? Of course we did. And then we argued about superstar list and whether the Finals go back to OKC? Answer is they do, despite Jeff's information. Wemby goes Shaolin retreat and Walter professes an interest in other men's baldness. Sorry. And then we discuss how we doubled the turnout for the mayoral election on our podcast from the rest of the city, even though Wally and Bob did not vote. Sorry, Jeff.

Bomani Jones is joined by Tom Haberstroh of Yahoo Sports to discuss the Jayson Tatum injury and NBA lottery results. Bo starts off the show by saying this seems like a career-altering injury for Jayson Tatum (1:17), similar to Derrick Rose, and why we never saw these types of injuries years ago (9:31). Moving onto the NBA lottery results, Bo says if you believe the NBA rigged the lottery for the Dallas Mavericks you're stupid (29:05) and if Cooper Flagg is a star or high end second option (37:27)? Bo and Tom also float the idea of Giannis Antetokounmpo being traded to Dallas for the 1st pick (38:15) and why San Antonio may make the most sense to pair him with Wemby (45:02). They round out the show by asking if the Draft Lottery actually works (58:46) and suggesting an NBA national signing day may be a better option than an NBA Draft? (1:04:36) . . . Kevin O'Connor is joined by the one and only Nick Wright of FS1 to put a bow on the Los Angeles Lakers' 2024-25 season. Nick didn't expect things to end so early and abruptly for LeBron James and Luka Doncic, but here we are. Where did things go wrong? Nick thinks you can point at JJ Redick's Head Coaching decisions in the Playoffs, and he's noticing a disturbing pattern emerge with JJ shrinking in big moments. Where does LeBron James go from here; could that be the end of his career? And how do the Lakers move forward, rebuild and trade for the right pieces around Luka? Plus Nick and Kevin hit on every other Playoff series, and even weigh in on the conspiracy surrounding Victor Wembanyama's "real" height. With the NBA Draft Lottery about a week away, KOC has you covered on this 1st Round mock that spans all 30 picks. Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows! This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track! Check out today's questions: Michael: Hi Dr. Cabral! Thank you for the great work that you do! I'm hoping you can speak to the risk and benefits of regular blood and plasma donations. At what iron levels would you likely recommend someone give blood, if at all? Also, what is the difference between a plasma donation and plasmapheresis? Can you get similar benefits from regular plasma donations as you can from plasmapheresis? Thank you! Anonymous: Hi Dr Cabral, In my teenage years, I was quite often prescribed anitbiotics to combat cystic acne. I was mostly prescribed tetracycline, and a few others that I cant remember. I was on them for quite a while as I just did not respond well to acutane. Im a male and 40 years old now and I do have quite a bit of gi issues. My first GI doctor diagnosed me with dispepsia, though I wasnt tested for that so i dont know how he arrived at that conclusion. My 2nd GI Dr. ran a stool test that came back normal. Is it possible for such antibiotic during teenage years to lead to GI issues? I know nothing is certain without testing but just curious if its even a possibility considering it was so long ago and Ive largely avoided them since my 20's. Thanks Elizabeth: Hi, Dr. Cabral. On a previous show, you mentioned a red light therapy device and that devices get better every couple of years. I noticed the one on your resource pages is at least a couple years old, so I'm not sure it's still as effective as some of the newer ones. When looking for red light therapy caps for hair growth, what numbers (levels) and how many red lights should be the minimum in a red light therapy cap? Some can get quite pricey and I'm looking for something that is cost effective. Thank you so much! I look forward to hearing back! Marie-Eve: Hi Dr. Cabral, I am an IHP level 1 and soon 2 student. I have been using the X39 patch for the past 3 months and very much respect your knowledge about all things health. You have experienced, seen, read, done so many things in the health and wellness World and I take your opinion very seriously. You have mentioned a few times in your podcast that you have not seen any clinical studies about X39 and wanted to share these 2 with you. I was pleased to know about an affordable way to activate stem cells and copper peptides but I don't understand the deeper langage when it comes to researchers sometimes. I agree that blind testing is not enough and we need actual clinical studies to prove its benefits. I would love to hear your thoughts on those researches I found through my portal. Ian: Hi Dr. Cabral, I hope this message finds you well. One of my favorite basketball players, Victor Wembanyama (Wemby), was diagnosed with a deep vein thrombosis in his right shoulder, which is his shooting shoulder. He's 7 feet, 4 inches and 21 years old. From my perspective, it's very likely that taller people develop cardiovascular issues, and health issues in general, more often than shorter individuals... but Wemby is quite young and perhaps we might not expect cardiovascular issues at this age. I'd like to break down what may lead to blood clotting, especially in tall humans. What might the body be responding to with aggregations of blood in its attempt to reach its balanced state? Lastly, what modalities could be taken to mitigate blood clots in general, and athletes in particular?
