The Kingdom Perspective
Taking Comfort in the Incarnation

The Kingdom Perspective

Transcript: Many of us are stressed—troubled by social, financial, physical and even spiritual trials. Where should we turn for help? There is no better place than the incarnation of Jesus Christ. The doctrine of the incarnation speaks of the great mystery that, in Christ, all of God has come to us as a true human being. The fullness of God has become a member of our human race. In other words, in classical Christian theology, God is not a being that is distant and removed from human troubles. He is not “the man upstairs”. Rather, he is the man who lived among us. This means that God has experienced firsthand all our trials. He knows what it is like to feel pain and disease, to feel the rejection of a friend, to feel temptation, to feel the onslaught of anxiety, to experience poverty and loss, to face what feels like insurmountable circumstances. Yet, the Bible likewise tells us that Jesus experienced all this without sin. Not once did he ever fail to trust His heavenly Father. This means that Jesus both totally “gets us”, and can totally save us. The writer of Hebrews puts it this way: 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:15-16) Are you troubled, needing comfort? Ponder the incarnation of Christ! Something to think about from The Kingdom Perspective. “Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery. For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he helps the offspring of Abraham. Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.” ~ Hebrews 2:14-18 (ESV)

Episode Notes (A bit of a difficult English dictation today!) A weekly dictation to help learners of the English language to improve their listening comprehension. How to use: Don't look at the transcript (text) below. Listen to the podcast (the dictation is repeated twice) and try to write everything you hear down. Check your text with the text of the dictation. If any word is different, it is probably a listening comprehension mistake. Try to listen again to the word and repeat the pronunciation a few times. If you don't understand the word when you read it; it is probably new vocabulary. Listen to the dictation again. You should understand some of the words that you didn't understand before. Transcript: Many people try to avoid getting hacked, especially their bank accounts.  But for some men, it’s their objective.  In the world of ‘findoms’, or financial domination, men give their information to women in order to allow them to take money from their accounts and buy things for themselves online.  They do this as this form of submission that is pleasurable for them.  By searching for the correct hashtag on social media, it’s possible to see that there are many men who are doing this. Bondage of the Church Establishment

Transcript: Many people suffer under bondage and persecution of the church establishment. Church organizations compel members to submit themselves to the church leadership, to attend church, to financially support the church and to work for the church. Those who do not comply are castigated. Those who leave the church are berated, scolded, persecuted, censured and even condemned to hell. Church establishments fight each other, steal sheep from each other. They call other churches cults, but they are all satanic cults that build and protect their own establishments. The main theme of church establishments is money and the growth of the church, more members, more money, bigger and grander buildings and facilities. Church establishments do not care about your soul, about truth and righteousness. They will steal, lie, cheat, fight, swindle and even murder to preserve their establishment and they will use verses from the Bible to justify their actions. I have received death threats from churches. I received a phone call from a person who wanted to know where I live. He said he would receive a large amount of money from a church if he killed me. My computer was hacked, my Youtube account was hacked, thousands of videos were deleted and then my account was deleted. My bank account was hacked and I was informed that they were coming for me. they wanted to destroy me because I warned people to get out of the church establishments and follow Jesus. Church establishments have no morals. They will welcome and accept anybody who is wealthy or influential, a celebrity, even though they are ungodly and wicked. Church establishments will not speak out against evil government, abortion, homosexuality, sin, because they all accept hush money. They have been incorporated, registered with government to receive tax-exempt status, 501c3, in return for supporting the government in all things evil. They have sold their soul to the devil, for money. They CANNOT preach the truth. They CANNOT preach Jesus Christ for fear of losing their tax-exempt status. Church members can claim their donations to a 501c3 church, from their tax return. That benefit is not only for Christian churches but for all churches of all religions, that are incorporated, even occult churches and the church of satan. Church establishments are not and cannot be of God and Jesus Christ. Friendship with the world is enmity with God. You cannot be a member of the church establishments and be a member of the Body of Christ. The Body of Christ is holy. Church establishments are NOT holy. Many people have been deceived and are therefor under the bondage and satanic rule of church establishments. All you need is Jesus. If the Son has made you free, you will be free indeed. You will be persecuted and rejected if you leave the church establishment and follow Jesus, but Jesus is the only way. Jesus is not in church. Get out of church and follow Jesus. Obey His words, as recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Repent and be baptized. Sin no more, be holy and Jesus will accept you. He will give His Holy Spirit in you to teach and guide you. Listen, obey and follow Him, and you will have life. Jesus is the only way. Follow Him. May Jesus bless you.

These self-perpetuating clusters of shared beliefs are referred to by sociologists as ‘institutions.’ Institutions may vary from culture to culture. The idea of a manager is an institution too. Like many institutions you can find different versions of this idea in different locations.

Transcript: Many microbial organisms on Earth can survive extremes of temperature. Thermophiles is the name for organisms that like heat. Thermophiles have been found that can exist in the temperature range forty-two to a hundred and thirteen degrees centigrade. That's a hundred and seven to two hundred and thirty-six degrees Fahrenheit, well above the boiling point of water. Examples of these organisms are found near deep sea geothermal vents and in Yellowstone National Park. At the opposite extreme are psycrophiles, creatures or organisms that like extreme cold. Psycrophiles have been found in the temperature range down to minus three degrees centigrade up to twenty degrees centigrade. That is creatures that like to live below the freezing point of water. These have been found in snow fields in Antarctica, on the surface of glaciers, and in the deep sea ocean far from vents where the temperature is very cold.

22. The Big Bang, Inflation, and General Cosmology

Transcript: Many cultures around the world have creation myths based on the idea of cycles and time. Buddhist and Hindu legends measure the birth, death, and rebirth of the universe in units of four trillion years, a day in the life of Brahma. The Greeks Stoics imagined that the universe was created from fire, only to be destroyed by fire, and so on in endless cycles. Cycles of time also appear in the religions of the Mayans and the Aztecs. The Judeo-Christian religions set the stage for the discussion of origins with the idea of genesis, a time before which there was nothing. Modern cosmology includes the idea not only of an origin to space but an origin to time.

2. Ancient Astronomy and Celestial Phenomena

Transcript: Many cultures have used a solar calendar, and, in fact, Sun worship was a basic part of ancient civilizations. Solar calendar divides the year into seasons using 4 fixed points. The longest day in the year, the summer solstice, June 21, the shortest day in the year, December 21, the winter solstice, and the two midpoints, March 21 and September 21, the spring and autumn equinoxes, equinox from the Latin word “equal night,” equal times of day and night. These are the four markers of a solar calendar, but ancient cultures also used to celebrate the 4 midpoints between the solstices and the equinoxes, and celebrate festivals on those days as well. We can even see residues of this in some European cultures. For instance, in Ireland, they still celebrate Imbolc on February 1, Beltane on May 1, Lughnasadh on August 1, and Samhain on November 1. Two of these festivals, the 8 points of the cardinal points of the solar calendar, are festivals that are celebrated widely. May Day in many parts of Europe, November 1, of course, marks All Hallows Eve, or Halloween, or the Day of the Dead, a widely celebrated holiday. The solar calendar is still with us in our religious and festival days.
