We could all use to raise our emotional intelligence (EQ) level at least a little bit. Why? Because we seem to make one of two mistakes when it comes to working with our inner energies.   Either make the mistake of repressing or avoiding our emotions or we make the mistake of expressing them in ways that aren't helpful.   The pathway to a high EQ is something called, Emotional Regulation, and that's what this short, 3-part series is all about. How can we have and feel our feelings—in other words, not repress them—but not allow them to overwhelm us to such a degree that we dump them on everyone around us and usually make matters worse? That is the question we seek to answer in this series.   In part three, we focus on mental techniques that play a key role in emotional regulation. You will learn: ·      Why the mind is behind almost all emotional upset; ·      3 Stoic techniques create emotional regulation; ·      How astrophysics can help with emotional regulation; ·      And much, much more.   Additional Resources Roy may have mentioned on the show:   Roy's Website: https://coachingwithroy.com   Roy's Relationship Fitness Self-Assessment Test: https://coachingwithroy.com/the-relationship-fitness-self-test/   Roy's 4 Books: ·      Quantum Questions: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F4RFZBS3/ ·      Relationship Bootcamp: https://amzn.to/360UsMR ·      Attracting Lasting Love: http://amzn.to/1UnYeYh ·      A Drink with Legs: https://amzn.to/31UBl3K     Roy's Group Coaching Program: https://coachingwithroy.com/group-coaching/   Roy's Complimentary 45-min. This is Jamie Belz. For this episode, I wanted to personally tell you what it is about and why this conversation matters to me. Last week, my sister and I took five kids on a road trip through South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, and North Dakota. We were gone for a full week, but we only ate at restaurants twice. We had to buy some things along the way - feeding seven people for a week takes a lot of food - but the majority of our food was pre-made, froze, and packed in the coolers from home.  Each morning while one of us made breakfast, the other packed lunches to eat on mountaintops and snacks for extra calories for those powerful little kiddos on the way up and back. We hiked Black Elk Peak, formerly known as Harney Peak, the Little Devils Tower Trail, and several others. We were constantly moving, exploring, climbing, and experiencing some of the most beautiful places in the country. We were extremely active and ate well, but we really did not eat very much. We were always on the go. We did not have constant access to food as I do during my typical days. We ate when we needed to eat, enjoyed what we brought, and continued with the adventure. Given the measured portions we had, it wasn't possible to overeat. Had there been more available, I definitely would have eaten more. That's a habit I've developed. (I'm especially guilty of being the family garbage disposal because I never want to waste our nutrient-dense foods. Ugh.) After eating "less than normal" [and never late at night] for the full week - I came home feeling incredible. Yes, the hiking, fresh air, sunshine, movement, and time outside absolutely mattered - of course - but it is undeniable that nearly every day, I am eating more food than my body needs. At home, I can eat because it is convenient, because something sounds good, because I am bored, or simply because the food is there. On this trip, I was busy living. Food nourished the experience, but it was not the experience. That realization brought me back to a word that is fascinating to me: gluttony. I know. People don't like it. "Gluttony" can feel judgmental, shameful, and even offensive. But what does the word actually mean? And could avoiding this topic be preventing us from having one of the most important conversations about our health? This episode is not about guilt, shame, body size, starvation, or obsessive restriction. It is an honest and compassionate conversation about excess, food noise, overeating, and the culture of constant consumption we have accepted as normal. Compassion and honesty are not enemies. Thank you for being here. Alla nostra salute! -Jamie   In this episode: • What gluttony actually means • Why overeating is not simply a failure of discipline • How ultra-processed foods encourage overconsumption • The connection between food noise, compulsive eating, and GLP-1 medications • How eating too much contributes to metabolic dysfunction • Why nutrient-dense food quality and appropriate quantity both matter • Physical hunger, emotional hunger, and habitual eating • Changing your eating rhythm and environment • Replacing compulsive eating with healthier habits • Why you cannot hate your body into health • When to seek professional help _______________________________________________________ Want more? The biggest revolution right now isn't technology or artificial intelligence. It's identity. In fact, it's always been identity. And the reason you don't know who you are goes back generations, it's systemic, and it lives in your body.In this episode I go into the one thing underneath all of our healing: your identity. Because you never get what you want in life, you get what you believe to be. Most of us are living from a false identity we were programmed through trauma, religion, and colonization and it quietly runs our money, our relationships, and how we treat ourselves. I share my own story of releasing my addiction to alcohol through this work, and then I show you why identity is not a mindset issue and where identity actually lives in the body.I go into the science of why you can't think or affirm your way into your authentic self while your psoas muscle and fascia are still braced for danger from something that happened a long time ago or even in a past lifetime. I bring in Carl Jung, who studied Kundalini Yoga himself and placed the birth of the true self at that exact same center as the Yogis did. We talk honestly about who profits when a woman doesn't know who she is, from colonization to pop culture. Then I teach the real science of the mantra Sat Nam, how the tongue on the upper palate shifts your glands, navel, and your nervous system to burn away false identities, and how this becomes the path of Christ Consciousness returning to you to your highest identity, the light you actually. **⏱ CHAPTERS:**0:00 — The real revolution is identity, not technology1:23 — Welcome + what we're covering today3:39 — How we crucify ourselves on a false identity6:15 — Inherited trauma, past lifetimes, and the brain's addiction to the old self11:30 — Where identity lives in the body: the navel point (Manipura)14:31 — The psoas, the fascia, and why you can't think your way into a new self16:28 — The solar plexus, the gut brain, and interoception17:45 — Carl Jung and the birth of the true self at the navel23:40 — Persona, shadow, and the return to the Self27:01 — Who profits when a woman doesn't know who she is30:39 — Sat Nam: frequency, and how chanting rewires you33:05 — The science of Sat Nam: the palate, the glands, the nervous system36:11 — The Christ within and your highest identity39:22 — We are pure light: biophotons, fascia, and the meridians41:36 — Releasing the brace and doing the real work42:12 — How you live when God moves through you44:46 — Closing: you are the gift, join the Sanctuary and in-person circles**SUBSCRIBE + COMMENT:**If this resonated, subscribe and stay in community with us. When we begin to grow, evolve and awaken, everything changes, and we see the world very differently. The perspectives, beliefs and attitudes that used to make sense no longer seem appropriate or useful.   Therefore, in this series of podcasts, Roy Biancalana, our host, examines topics like patriotism, friendship, competitiveness, reactivity, politics and communication from an awakened perspective…and spoiler alert!!! — there are some big changes when we wake up!   In part four of a 6-part series, we examine "awakened reactivity."   Everyone gets triggered or reactive—whether you're awakened or not. However, how one handles being reactive changes dramatically after awakening. Not only is reactivity short-lived, but it doesn't lead to drama and discord.   If you've ever found yourself reactive—and made things worse because of it (and who hasn't?)—you don't want to miss this episode.   Additional Resources Roy may have mentioned on the show:   Roy's Website: https://coachingwithroy.com   Roy's Relationship Fitness Self-Assessment Test: https://coachingwithroy.com/the-relationship-fitness-self-test/   Roy's 4 Books: ·      Quantum Questions: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F4RFZBS3/ ·      Relationship Bootcamp: https://amzn.to/360UsMR ·      Attracting Lasting Love: http://amzn.to/1UnYeYh ·      A Drink with Legs: https://amzn.to/31UBl3K     Roy's Group Coaching Program: https://coachingwithroy.com/group-coaching/   Roy's Complimentary 45-min. Have you ever found yourself thinking, "Maybe my offer just isn't good enough?" I've been there many times. It's frustrating and can really rock your confidence. It's easy to think that if people aren't buying, the answer is to create something new or continue to tweak what you already have to offer. The problem is that cycle usually keeps you busy without bringing in more clients. In this episode of Doing Business Like a Woman, you'll learn why consistency builds trust, why a confused mind will almost always say no, and the five simple steps I use to help women entrepreneurs create more consistent clients without constantly reinventing their business. I share: A gentle reminder that not buying isn't the same as rejection Why consistency matters more than constant improvement How to nurture relationships that naturally lead to sales Why making direct offers is one of the greatest acts of service you can provide If you're tired of trying to reinvent the wheel and ready to build a business that creates consistent clients, this episode is for you. John finally snares his white whale as he promised not to listen to this full album despite loving "Downfall" for two decades until it won a Poll. It won a Poll, and surprise surprise, he loves it. Bryan, however, does not. Ultimately we settle somewhere in the middle overall, as the album is extremely competent but came out at a time where all the heavy stuff was flattened a bit, and it may be to the album's detriment. We also discover through interviews that these guys didn't have a ton to say, which probably informs some of the lyrics, which also don't say a lot. All that is to say, nu-metal was in a weird place in 2002 and this episode covers an awful lot of it. You know where else we cover an awful lot of nu-metal? Our Patreon! "This is the healthcare we used to have," some of Dr. Emily Chan's older patients have told her. Her reply: "Yep — and that's the way that it should be." On this Valley Business Today edition of The Valley Today, host Janet Michael sits down at the Front Royal-Warren County Chamber with Chamber President Niki Foster and Dr. Emily Chan, a board-certified family medicine physician who has opened an independent, membership-based primary care practice in Woodstock — the first in the Valley to partner with MDVIP, a national network of about 1,400 physicians using this model. Dr. Chan walks through what membership medicine actually means: an annual $2,500 fee (payable in full, halves, or quarterly), a smaller patient panel that lets her spend real time with each person, insurance still accepted for routine visits, and once a year an executive-style physical — the first offered in the Valley — that tests eyes, hearing, lungs, heart, skin, body composition, visceral fat, and includes advanced inflammatory and cardiac blood work not usually covered by insurance. Plus after-hours access to her directly, same- or next-day appointments, and — a genuinely useful perk for snowbirds and travelers — the ability to be seen by any MDVIP-affiliated physician across the country at no additional cost. The conversation also gets into the harder parts: why she loves taking patients OFF medication, why she often becomes the only physician in a complex patient's care team who sees the whole picture, and why "too good to be true" is the misconception she hears most often. Niki closes out with Chamber events — Business After Hours at Play Favorites on July 21, no Coffee & Conversation in July (a first in 23 months), and yes — apparently it's already time to talk about the Christmas Parade. ABOUT THE MEMBERSHIP MODEL AT A GLANCE An annual $2,500 fee (payable in full, halved, or quarterly) covers: • A smaller patient panel — so Dr. Chan can spend more time with each patient • Same- or next-day appointments for members • 24/7 direct access for after-hours emergencies • One annual executive-style physical (the first offered in the Valley) — including advanced blood work and comprehensive testing not typically covered by insurance • Access to MDVIP's nationwide network of ~1,400 physicians — if you travel, you can be seen by an MDVIP doctor anywhere in the country at no additional cost • Insurance is still billed separately for routine visits, chronic care, and acute care • Cash-pay options available for patients without insurance or who prefer not to use it WHO IT'S FOR • People who want a real relationship with a primary care doctor • Anyone with complex health needs juggling multiple specialists — Dr. Chan consolidates every specialist report • Healthy younger adults who want preventive care without traditional insurance • Aging-in-place patients who want a physician actively planning for their long-term health • Snowbirds and frequent travelers who value the nationwide MDVIP network • Anyone who's ever felt rushed at a primary care visit VISIT INFO — DR. Most people focus on making money, investing money, and reducing taxes. But very few stop to ask a more dangerous question: Can someone take this from me? In this episode of The Practical Wealth Show, Curtis May sits down with Mark Pierce, a trust and LLC attorney with more than 42 years of experience in asset protection, complex tax planning, and estate preservation strategies. Mark is the founding attorney of Wyoming Trust Attorney and works with families, business owners, professionals, and high-net-worth individuals to help structure wealth so it is better protected from creditors, lawsuits, divorce, and other threats. What makes Mark's perspective unique is that he has seen asset protection from both sides. Earlier in his career, he served as a bankruptcy trustee, where his job was to attack weak structures and recover assets for creditors. Today, he uses that experience to help clients build protection designed to hold up under pressure. In this conversation, Curtis and Mark discuss: Why making money is only half the job The difference between a revocable living trust and an asset protection trust Why LLCs alone may not be enough How insurance, trusts, and legal structures work together Why timing matters in asset protection What "too late" really means when a lawsuit or creditor issue appears Why business owners, doctors, dentists, and real estate investors need to think differently about risk How family wealth can be exposed through divorce, poor planning, or lack of structure Why Wyoming is often used for domestic asset protection planning Why your wealth protection team should include more than one advisor This episode is not legal advice. It is a practical conversation designed to help business owners and families ask better questions before life, lawsuits, creditors, divorce, or business risk put their wealth under pressure. A @Christadelphians Video: **YouTube Video Description**In this **outstanding** and **thought-provoking** fifth instalment of *One In Christ: Complementary Roles*, Bible student Mark O'Grady delivers a **revealing** and **insightful** exposition on vulnerability. We explore what happens when the men who are called to lead—whether in the home or ecclesia—fall short, make mistakes, or even become wicked. How do faithful sisters navigate real‑life complications whilst upholding divine principles? Drawing from the rich tapestry of Scripture, we examine examples that are both **wonderful** and searingly honest: Bathsheba's respectful genius with an ageing king, Hannah's meek response to a false accusation, Jael's extraordinary courage in a treacherous household, and Abigail's decisive action to avert disaster. This is not abstract theory; it is practical, Spirit‑filled wisdom for every flawed human relationship. Whether you are a brother grappling with the weight of your responsibility or a sister seeking guidance in lonely territory, this study will challenge and inspire you to apply God's principles with grace, integrity, and resilience.**

A @Christadelphians Video: **Video Description**Join us for this thought-provoking and expositional study, *“One in Christ: Complimentary Roles #1 – ‘One in Christ Jesus'”* with Bible student Mark O'Grady. In this outstanding opening session, we explore the biblical foundation for the roles of men and women, answering the vital question: why is our whole community depicted in Scripture as a woman? We begin in Genesis, seeing that God's purpose and hope are identical for both male and female – we are all one in Christ Jesus. Yet, as we examine the whole of Scripture, an overwhelmingly male focus emerges, alongside explicit instructions about headship and submission. Rather than being a cultural relic, we reveal how these principles are woven into creation itself – from Adam being formed first, to Eve as a “help meet”, and the beautiful symbolism of the sun and the moon. This insightful presentation addresses modern challenges, the meaning of true leadership as service, and the wonderful complementarity of male and female brains – designed by God to work together. Most powerfully, we discover that the biblically defined role of women is not a put-down, but a transcendent calling to depict the relationship between God and His people. “The Maker is thy husband” (

In 1973, there was huge cultural event called, "The Battle of the Sexes." It was a tennis match between 55-year-old, Bobby Riggs, a former Wimbledon and U.S. champion, and 29-year-old, Billy Jean King, who had won multiple Grand Slam championships.   Their match was in response to the woman's liberation movement and King's push for equal pay and respect for women's sports. Riggs said even though he was old and "washed," he could still beat King in her prime. He was wrong. King beat him in straight sets.   Well, that "battle" pales in comparison to the battle of the sexes being played out in today's culture. Men and women, especially in the dating world, are at each other's throats.   So, in this 3-part series of podcasts, Roy Biancalana, our host, tries to resolve the conflict by discussing the real meaning of masculine and feminine.   This episode is part one, and it attempts to understand the controversy by exploring: ·      Why "masculine" and "feminine" are NOT male and female; ·      Are they real and eternal or merely social and cultural constructs?; ·      What is sexual polarity and does it still matter? ·      And what about the whole trans issue? How are we to understand that?   These and other important issues are explored in this episode, so don't miss it!   Additional Resources Roy may have mentioned on the show:   Roy's Website: https://coachingwithroy.com   Roy's Relationship Fitness Self-Assessment Test: https://coachingwithroy.com/the-relationship-fitness-self-test/   Roy's 4 Books: ·      Quantum Questions: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F4RFZBS3/ ·      Relationship Bootcamp: https://amzn.to/360UsMR ·      Attracting Lasting Love: http://amzn.to/1UnYeYh ·      A Drink with Legs: https://amzn.to/31UBl3K     Roy's Group Coaching Program: https://coachingwithroy.com/group-coaching/   Roy's Complimentary 45-min. Your next dollar is not hiding in a new ad campaign. It is hiding inside the business you already built. In this episode, Jimmy Nicholas and Dr. Dustin Burleson pick up where Episode 65 left off. Once you have decided what stays in your business based on principle, the next question is how to make what stays more efficient. The answer: 15 to 30 percent of additional revenue is usually already there, with no new customer required. They walk through five profit levers you can pull this month. LEVER 1 — Database Reactivation Rekindling a relationship costs a fraction of buying a new one. A short, personal "are you still interested" message can restart conversations that ad spend cannot touch. Dustin shares why customers reactivate as far out as 24 months, a pattern visible in public filings from a large direct-to-consumer brand, and why "they are not coming back" is almost always an excuse. The deeper point: reactivated buyers often want to buy differently, so listen to what they are actually asking for. LEVER 2 — Missed Calls and Speed to Lead Almost no one leaves a voicemail anymore, so a missed call is usually a lost sale. The hosts cover AI receptionists, instant text-back, and after-hours coverage, with client examples discussed in the episode including a multi-location group that recovered tens of thousands in a single month from previously ignored missed calls. The principle stays simple: answer the phone, and answer it like a human whenever you can. LEVER 3 — No-Shows and Schedule Gaps You often do not have a lead problem. You have a scheduling problem. Dustin explains how opening hours competitors do not offer, and staggering the team, turned slow days into the busiest ones. Jimmy contrasts that with a real customer experience of a gate coming down at lunch, and how availability alone can win the business. LEVER 4 — Pricing and Case Acceptance Competing on price alone is fragile. Offering good, better, and best tiers reveals price elasticity you did not know you had. The hosts also cover how AI can audit billing and coding to surface revenue that was being left on the table. LEVER 5 — Referral Systems People do not refer good-enough service. Give them an experience worth talking about, and know exactly who your referral sources are. The episode covers why most referrals go untracked, and what changes the moment you start tracking them. The throughline: AI now does in minutes what used to take data scientists and months. The operators who win ask a better question of the customers they already have. Pick one lever. Whichever one makes you lose a little sleep is probably the one to start with. "A Market Shift Is Not an Income Shift"Hosted by Michael Fanning, SVP & Co-Owner, Windermere CoachingFAQ: What You'll Learn in This EpisodeQ: Is it normal for my income to drop when the market shifts? It's common but it's not inevitable. The market has always ebbed and flowed. What separates thriving agents from struggling ones isn't market conditions, it's whether they changed with the market or simply reacted to it. Your income reflects your activity and your relationships. The market is just the environment you're working in.Q: Does a shifting market mean business stops? No it means the type of business changes. A hot market rewards listing leverage and speed. A shifting market rewards negotiation skill and seller education. A slow market rewards relationship depth and database consistency. Great agents develop all three toolkits and know when to deploy each one.Q: What are the five attributes of agents who protect their income in any market? They protect their daily routine morning intention, market research, property views, handwritten notes, and relationship interactions. Your routine is your income insurance policy. They work their database with intention ABCD segmentation, a living warm list based on life events, and a consistent 36-interaction annual system using Homebot, Close, direct mail, and personal outreach. They remember their tactics and adapt their language seller pricing conversations, buyer consultation frameworks, creative financing options, and the magic questions: What's most important to you? What would make this work? They time block their week and win it on purpose structured days for prospecting, market research, path calls, and a weekly Sunday planning session. You can't win 45 of 52 weeks if you don't plan all 52.They stay relational and generous when others pull back checking in with no agenda, sending notes, sharing market updates, asking FORD questions, and staying visible when the market goes quiet.Q: What does "Complimentary, Not Free" mean here?Your time, expertise, and relationships all have real value. Showing up generously in a slow market isn't charity it's a long-term investment with a high return. The agents who go quiet lose the relationship. The agents who stay visible own the next market.Q: What's the one thing I should do this week?Pick one attribute from this episode. Protect your morning routine. Call five A's. Dust off your buyer consultation language. Write two notes a day. Do it this week, then do it again next week. That's how better happens one good decision repeated consistently.Q: How do I connect or share a topic idea?Reach out directly: fanning@windermere.comIf this episode resonated, please share it, leave a rating, and let us know what topics you'd like to go deeper on.Be awesome, help somebody, and make it a great day.

Without access to our inner empath and our inner narcissist; without access to acceptance and action; without access to rationality and emotionality, we're mentally unbalanced and unhealthy, unable to respond appropriately to any moment.   In this episode, you'll learn: ·      Why black and white thinking is crazy; ·      That being lop-sided or one dimensional isn't healthy; ·      How being an empath (or a narcissist) is unhealthy; ·      Why "both/and" is healthier than "either/or" ·      And much, much more!   Additional Resources Roy may have mentioned on the show:   Roy's Website: https://coachingwithroy.com   Roy's Relationship Fitness Self-Assessment Test: https://coachingwithroy.com/the-relationship-fitness-self-test/   Roy's 4 Books: ·      Quantum Questions: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F4RFZBS3/ ·      Relationship Bootcamp: https://amzn.to/360UsMR ·      Attracting Lasting Love: http://amzn.to/1UnYeYh ·      A Drink with Legs: https://amzn.to/31UBl3K     Roy's Group Coaching Program: https://coachingwithroy.com/group-coaching/   Roy's Complimentary 45-min.
