Garrett and Dan welcome back Dan Santelli of Viva Video to celebrate the anniversary of 2007, perhaps the best movie year of its decade, with David Fincher's Zodiac. Though a bit under-appreciated at the time, Zodiac has gone on to be considered one of Fincher's best films and indeed represents the decade it was made in very well. In a post-9/11 America, we were still scrambling to regain a sense of safety and our place in the larger world we were reminded we lived in, much like the characters in this movie which is also about planting a seed of fear that brings ruin even to those not targeted directly. We're having a contest this week! Leave us a 5-star review on iTunes and tell us what movie to review next - we'll choose one and make it a future episode. Movie Movie will be hosting a special screening of I Am A Knife With Legs on July 15th at the Milburn Stone Theater in Baltimore, MD. Tickets available soon. twitter | Facebook | tumblr | iTunes
Merry Bone Tomahawk Thanksgiving from Garrett and Dan! This week the boys are joined by Dan Santelli of Viva Video to celebrate the return of Paul Verhoeven with his new film Elle. Always the provocateur, Verhoeven delivers an entertaining, blackly funny film that is as difficult and uncomfortable to talk about as it can be to watch. Wrestling with meaning and intention proves difficult here, but that's precisely why it's deserving of a conversation. Follow us on twitter Like us on facebook Rate & Subscribe on iTunes
