A disappointing start to the season. We need to work hard to get better. Coach Dizzy said we just haven't been good enough with bat or ball. Been working on keeping things more straightforward. In the past has been making the craft of bowling too complicated. AC “Are you the man who keeps the group positive?” “We are a positive group in general, despite the results. In terms of morale, we've got plenty of guys who keep it positive and some interesting characters”.
The last show of the week for Adam Cooney, who is jetting off for a boy's weekend in Sydney with some old teammates. He shared some details on their plans, which look a little light on. Some early talk about wedding proposals gone wrong. Coons' well-documented proposal using a burger ring was front and centre in the discussion. The Women's soccer World Cup mascot has stirred some controversy, and Hayesy received a complete education regarding Australian and New Zealand penguin populations. Some serious topics were also discussed, including the AFL's proposed magic round potentially coming to Adelaide, why isn't Rory laird considered a star of the game, who were the top five players from SA-based clubs this season, and when will the SA Redbacks finally get their act together. Guests included Michelangelo Rucci, Redbacks quick Wes Agar, Adelaide Crows AFLW defender Chelsea Biddell, and Pot Adelaide AFLW star forward Gemma Houghton.
England may have actually completed cricket with their 4th successive come-from-behind win, this time against India. The numbers are absolutely mind boggling. Minds have been boggled. Meanwhile, Australia won the first Test in Galle against Sri Lanka in about 45 minutes. Are we satisfied? Guess it means Australia have one foot in the WTC Final. With sincere thanks to NT Cricket for giving us access to him, we chat to Wes Agar live on deckchairs, sipping on mocktails about shifting tin, his roof, environments and what he was wearing when his brother Ash hit 98 on Test debut. #AskTGC continues the theme of trying to figure out what the hell is going on with Bazball. We're getting behind Budgy Smuggler's Ordinary Rig across the UK, and now France!
