Born in Buenos Aires and raised in Britain, Agar was a painter, collagist and sculptor with a delicious taste for the absurd. She danced on the edges of Surrealism—sometimes elbowing her way in, sometimes pirouetting just out of reach—and exhibited alongside the likes of Dalí and Ernst, though she never let their mustaches overshadow her own wildly imaginative vision. But many microbiologists are unaware of how this substance became so important in the field. Juan 2:23-25 “Estando en Jerusalén en la fiesta de la pascua, muchos creyeron en su nombre, viendo las señales que hacía. Pero Jesús mismo no se fiaba de ellos, porque conocía a todos, y no tenía necesidad de que nadie le diese testimonio del hombre, pues él sabía lo que había en el hombre”.Dios se manifestó en muchas ocasiones a los antiguos, a Abraham, a Agar, a Jacob, a Moises, a Josué, a Gedeón, en fin; esas manifestaciones de “alguien invisible” es lo que llamamos “Teofanía o manifestación de Dios”.En Génesis 16:7 "Y la halló el ángel de Jehová junto a una fuente de agua en el desierto, junto a la fuente que está en el camino de Shur”, El Señor se reveló a una mujer llamada Agar, ella era una sierva egipcia que trabajaba para Sarai esposa de Abraham. Sarai decidió tener un hijo pidiéndole a su esposo que se llegara a Agar y comenzó a maltratar a Agar hasta tal punto que ella decidió huir de la casa de Abraham al desierto. Agar junto al pozo de agua en el desierto le llamó a Dios con el nombre BEER-LAJAI-ROI que significa "pozo del Dios que me ve". Nuestro Dios no solo nos ve en todo momento, sino que nos conoce a profundidad, conoce nuestros más íntimos pensamientos y nuestros más profundos sueños deseos y anhelos.Creo que todos hemos sentido el deseo de huir por las injusticias recibidas en el transcurso de nuestra vida y muchas veces hemos pensado “¿Donde está Dios?” El ROI, se revela a nuestras vidas en los momentos más difíciles, “El nos ve, El escucha nuestros gritos”, nunca estamos solos porque servimos a un Dios que nos ve, podemos descansar sabiendo que Dios nunca es inconsciente de lo que estamos pasando y mientras El ROI ve lo que nos está ocurriendo tenemos que confiar en Sus instrucciones.De la misma manera como vio a Agar también ve todo lo que está ocurriendo en la tierra en este tiempo, en todos los eventos que vinieron sobre la tierra Dios descendió, miró y avisó, y en este tiempo está haciendo lo mismo, está viendo, está mirando y está avisando; tal como lo dice la Palabra en 2º Crónicas 16:9 con mayor énfasis, hablándole a su pueblo, a su iglesia … “Porque los ojos de Jehová contemplan toda la tierra, para mostrar su poder a favor de los que tienen un corazón perfecto para con Él”.Nadie está fuera del alcance del ojo de Dios, Dios contempla a todos. Hay una promesa especial para los que viven en el temor de Dios, en el libro de 1º Pedro 3:12 “Porque los ojos del Señor están sobre los justos, Y sus oídos atentos a sus oraciones; Pero el rostro del Señor está contra aquellos que hacen el mal”. Dios es un Dios cercano está escrito en Jeremías 23:23-24 "¿Soy yo Dios de cerca solamente, dice Jehová, y no Dios desde muy lejos? ¿Se ocultará alguno, dice Jehová, en escondrijos que yo no lo vea? ¿No lleno yo, dice Jehová, el cielo y la tierra?”. Job 34:21-22 “Porque sus ojos están sobre los caminos del hombre, Y ve todos sus pasos. No hay tinieblas ni sombra de muerte Donde se escondan los que hacen maldad.”.Veamos que ocurrió con Agar, porque esta misma situación que ella vivió nos ha ocurrido a nosotros y anhelamos que el Ojo de Dios nos vea y extienda Su mano de amor, bondad y misericordia. La historia nos hace ver que Agar estaba desesperada porque decidió que era mejor huir al desierto, con todos los peligros que eso implicaba, que quedarse en casa bajo otro tipo de peligro, su ama celosa y enojada. Ella no tenía familia a quien acudir. Así que huyó. Muchos de nosotros hemos huido e incluso de Dios, pero ahora es el momento de retornar, de volver al propósito que Dios ha colocado para tu vida, tu familia y tu descendencia.Luego de recorrer cierta distancia, esta mujer embarazada estaba cansada, con hambre y muy sedienta. Y, descansando junto a un manantial, el ángel del Señor se encuentra con ella y le hace dos preguntas, de las cuales Agar solo responde una:«Agar, sierva de Sarai, ¿de dónde has venido y a dónde vas?». Ella le respondió: «Huyo de la presencia de mi señora Sarai», Génesis 16:8. ¿De dónde vienes? Eso estaba claro para Agar, venía huyendo de su ama que la estaba maltratando mucho. ¿Adónde iba? No lo sabía o al menos el relato bíblico no nos da indicio claro de que lo hubiera considerado de antemano.El ángel le da una respuesta que no debe haber sido del agrado de Agar: «Vuelve a tu señora y sométete a su autoridad» (v. 9). No le mostró un mapa con un camino para llegar a su familia en Egipto, no le dió un plan de acción contra Sara — sus quejas pasaron desapercibidas.El ángel le ordenó que regresara. ¿Te imaginas? Regresa al maltrato de Sara, regresa a ser extranjera, regresa a tu dolor…   Regresar implicaba tragarse su orgullo, someterse; En la vida, cuando nos vemos ante los conflictos, muchas veces optamos por huir, huir siempre parece más fácil porque evitamos el enfrentamiento, las conversaciones difíciles, incomprensiones, desprecios, silencios, y muchas otras cosas, sin embargo, también huimos porque no queremos cambiar, no queremos ceder; y precisamente esa fue la razón por la cual el ángel no solo le dijo que regresara, sino que le pidió dar un paso más: «sométete a su autoridad». Difícil, porque con esas palabras le estaba recordando que no regresaba en calidad de familia, regresaba en calidad de sierva.¿Por qué regresar? En el desierto tenía muchas probabilidades de morir o de perder su embarazo, regresar le garantizaba protección. El plan de Dios, incluso si nos parece difícil, siempre considera lo mejor.Hay algo que debemos entender, el carácter no se forma huyendo de los problemas, se forma en el roce del día a día, porque para crecer necesitamos aprender a lidiar con los conflictos, enfrentar los desafíos. Esas cosas difíciles son las que el Señor usa para moldearnos. La disciplina de Dios que se nos menciona en Hebreos no es castigo. Nosotros no estamos bajo su ira porque estamos en Cristo. La disciplina se mide de esa manera, al pasar por situaciones que no nos gustan pero que van conformándonos cada vez a la imagen de Cristo. O, dicho de otra manera, nos van santificando. A veces regresar implica regresar a la rutina, a las cosas que nos toca hacer y que nadie ve ni reconoce. Regresar a lo que Dios nos llama, grande o pequeño, con fuerzas o sin muchas fuerzas, es una marca de nuestra obediencia; Él nos dará la gracia necesaria, porque lo ha prometido, Su poder se perfecciona en nuestra debilidad, 2 Corintios 12:9. Así que Agar obedeció, aunque le costara y no sé si en este momento el Señor te está llamando a obedecerle en algo que te cuesta, Filipenses 2:5-8 “Haya, pues, en vosotros este sentir que hubo también en Cristo Jesús, el cual, siendo en forma de Dios, no estimó el ser igual a Dios como cosa a que aferrarse, sino que se despojó a sí mismo, tomando forma de siervo, hecho semejante a los hombres; y estando en la condición de hombre, se humilló a sí mismo, haciéndose obediente hasta la muerte, y muerte de cruz”, Jesús obedeció hasta la muerte, Su obediencia fue perfecta, y porque Él obedeció, ahora nosotros podemos hacerlo también.   Ministración: Quizá llevas años orando por alguna cosa, tal vez miras tu situación y piensas que el Señor no te escucha, que tus oraciones no pasan del techo. Mira lo que le dice la Palabra: «…Cada uno tenía un arpa y copas de oro llenas de incienso, que son las oraciones de los santos» Apocalipsis 5:8b.    Nuestras oraciones son incienso para Dios, son olor fragante, son algo que Él valora y atesora. Él sí escucha. ¿Por qué no llega la respuesta? Tienes que descansar primero en su soberanía, Él es Dios. Recuerda que sus tiempo...

(Lukas 12:6-7)Renungan: Di suatu kelab malam di New Jersey ada seorang wanita yang untuk pertama kalinya menyanyi di depan umum. Agar kekurangan di bibir dan giginya tidak terlalu kelihatan, maka ia bernyanyi dengan cukup hati-hati tanpa membuka mulut dengan lebar. Akibatnya justru la ditertawakan. Selesai menyanyi, seseorang yang sejak tadi memperhatikan berkata, "Saya melihat penampilanmu dan saya tahu apa yang kau risaukan. Sebenarnya kau tak perlu malu dengan kekurangan fisikmu. Itu bukan suatu kejahatan. Suaramu akan kelihatan lebih merdu jika kau berani membuka mulutmu lebar-lebar dan menyanyi dengan wajar." Kemudian gadis itu melakukan apa yang dikatakan orang tersebut. Akhirnya ia berhasil menjadi juara, baik sebagai bintang film maupun bintang radio. Gadis itu bernama Cass Daley, anak seorang dirigen orkes. Ketika ia berusaha menjadi dirinya sendiri, banyak aktor dan aktris ingin menjadi Cass Daley dan meniru dirinya. Seseorang mengatakan bahwa orang yang selalu ingin menjadi seperti orang lain dan tidak pernah menemukan diri pribadinya sebenarnya hanya mengembangkan 10 persen dari kemampuan yang ia miliki. Masih banyak kemampuan di dalam dirinya yang bisa digunakan secara maksimal kalau seseorang mau menjadi dirinya sendiri. Tuhan berkata bahwa kita ini berharga dan mulia di matanya (Yes 43:4). Ia melengkapi kita dengan segudang kemampuan dan potensi yang tidak dimiliki oleh orang lain. Bagaimanapun kita berusaha menyamakan diri dengan orang lain, itu tidak akan pernah berhasil, karena Tuhan menciptakan kita dengan kemampuan dan keunikan masing-masing. Saya adalah saya dan anda adalah anda. Saya mungkin memiliki apa yang tidak anda miliki, tetapi sebaliknya anda juga memiliki apa yang tidak saya miliki. Maka, jadilah diri anda sendiri dan jangan ingin menjadi orang lain karena kelebihan yang telah Tuhan taruh dalam diri anda hanya akan maksimal jika anda menjadi diri anda sendiri. Tuhan Yesus memberkati.Doa:Tuhan Yesus, bantulah aku agar dapat menerima diriku apa adanya dan dapat menggunakan semua kemampuan yang ada pada diriku dengan maksimal.
