Nothing says adulting more than purchasing a new furnace or getting a flat tire. Those are all the things Jen has been faced with tackling of late, while Nicole is completely content calling her weekly adulting task preparing for the Bills game. Regardless of what you do to show signs of adulthood, the podcasts hosts encourage their listeners to take it step by step. In the chaotic world we live in, Jen and Nicole discuss the difficulties of finding balance.  It's something that is nearly impossible for some people to do, and even when they do attempt - it's even harder to completely disconnect and be present in the moment. They give some tips on keeping a schedule and trying to have a little fun every now and again. For this round’s New to Two pick, David chose a rather oddball film that came out just last year, Ingrid Goes West. Ingrid is ragingly insecure, tying her self-worth to how close she can get to people with “perfect” lives and how much of their approval she can earn. She does not take rejection well. While Nicole and Brett weren’t sure how much they liked the film, there was a lot of meat to dig into here, and we had some good, deep discussion about mental illness, the role of social media in our lives, and the value of Batman.Next week is Netflix Roulette! Aaron and Nicole's origin stories are incredibly different. While Nicole spent a majority of her life in Connecticut, the Nutmeg state was more of a hub for Aaron; returning every few years after living in other places. The experience of living in other places, and returning to somewhere that was familiar help to shape Aaron's unique story. It also gave him a number of funny stories and an interesting super power that may be shared by some, but only mastered by one (or so he likes to believe)!
