The Philadelphia Eagles are 2-0 on the season, but it really doesn't feel like they're a top team in the NFL based on current power rankings. This week, we take a look at what we've seen after two week, and where they need to improve on offense and defense? Shane Half (@ShaneHaffNFL on Twitter) from the Chalk Talk podcast and Bleeding Green Nation joined us for a great discussion and analysis about where the Eagles are heading. It was a great discussion! But first, we dove into some Phillies talk. First, a couple pitchers were promoted to Triple-A Lehigh Valley this week. Second, we rated our concerns on a scale of 1-10 about the pitching during the postseason. (approx. 6:10)We then responded to some listener feedback from an email that was sent to us about the future of the Sixers and Joel Embiid. (approx. 15:20)We also talked about the recent play from the Philadelphia Union and how the last four games of the season could be a playoff preview. (approx. 24:45)From there, we talked about which Eagles players have surprised us thus far after two weeks of football. (approx. 31:10)What we threw down on the Table this week was a great discussion with Shane Haff from the Chalk Talk podcast on YouTube about this Eagles team. What are the biggest hurdles Jalen Hurts needs to meet head on this season? How can this Eagles offense contain the blitz more not just in week 3, but for the rest of this season? Great concern for the slot cornerback position for the rest of the year. Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter are balling out! All of this and much more this week on the Table! We had the pleasure of interviewing Levi Hummon over Zoom video!Singer-songwriter Levi Hummon spent his early 20s practicing his art, but his immersion into country music started much, much earlier. From the day he was born, his father Marcus Hummon, (one of Nashville's most prolific GRAMMY-winning songwriters [The Dixie Chicks, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts]) immersed Levi in the music scene, and It didn't take long to realize the apple didn't fall far from the tree. At 24, Levi began releasing music of his own. Cleancut and compelling, he told stories of love and loss while building a loyal fanbase that has grown with him through every bend and break. As a Nashville native who was inspired by the legacies around him and had an undeniable gift of songwriting, it was no surprise that 5 years, 30 released songs, and 100 million streams later as an independent artist, Levi had created a name for himself. In 2021, his viral Walker Hayes collaboration sensation “Paying for It” cemented Levi's status as a rising country star. This sparked a new sense of confidence both on stage and in writing rooms that allowed him to discover the magnitude of his potential as an artist, and a new authentic version of Levi emerged. His follow-up tunes, “Bottled Up,” “For Me,” “Good Riddance,” and “Drink On” are the product of just that. Hummon says, “taking risks, finding my own voice, and showing the scars and roughness around the edges allowed me to portray the most honest version of myself”. Coming off of his first headlining tour in the Fall of ‘21, Levi found himself to be in high demand in the spring and summer of 2022. Warming up the stage for acts like Hardy, Jordan Davis, Brett Eldridge, Brett Young, and Dylan Scott, he was able to experience in person the effects of this momentum and the reward for being unapologetically himself. While listeners across genres are creating the demand now more than ever for both a 90's country comeback and an early 2000's alternative rock revival, Levi's new music has established a unique lane paved by both the influence of bands like Maroon 5, Weezer, and The Clash, and the Nashville community of songwriters he grew up with in his own backyard. As a country artist with now over 160 million streams, pulling from his skateboarding past, counter culture nostalgia and surfer aesthetic, Levi Hummon is paving the way for something big that hasn't quite been seen before. While hellbent on carrying on the family legacy, Levi Hummon is very much here to write his own story. Named one of Entertainment Weekly's “5 Artists Breaking Now” and Rolling Stone Country's “One to Watch”, it looks like his biggest chapter yet is right around the corner. We want to hear from you! Having friends and being part of a community can give us strength, understanding, and inspiration. When we have friends who share beliefs and/or support us, it's like having a team that's there to always lift us up whether it is spiritually, emotionally, or physically. Through friendships, we can actually help deepen and strengthen our faith by reminding ourselves that we are a part of something greater.  This week singer and songwriter Jordan Davis shares his experiences and conversations with friends and family that taught him about his faith, and his music. Psychiatrist Curt Thompson discusses what it's like when we walk with someone through their pain, and how it makes us grow in spiritual thought and understanding.    Links, Products, and Resources Mentioned: Jesus Calling Podcast Jesus Calling Jesus Always Jesus Listens Past interview: Victoria Osteen Upcoming interview: Max Lucado Samaritan's Purse: https://sampur.se/44HesSt    Jordan Davis “Church in the Chevy” “Buy Dirt”   Curt Thompson The Deepest Place   Interview Quotes: “Church is right now, us talking about it. Church is waking up and having a quiet time. It's all around. So you could be in a Chevy on a back road. You could be in a deer stand. You can be going through some tough things at home. You just grab your Bible and talk about it.” - Jordan Davis  “We're called to pray for everybody. Seeing the loneliness and some of the mental health issues in the world, like, the only way that I know to combat that is to pray about it and to just say, ‘Lord, I know you have this, but still help me show how I can help in any area….Lord, put somebody in my life today that could use a light, somebody that's lonely that I could help out, somebody that needs some guidance. Put them in the crowd tonight. Let one of my messages get through to them.' I've just prayed that I get a chance to actually make a difference.” - Jordan Davis  “The reality is that if we have a pulse, if we are human, we suffer.” - Dr. Curt Thompson, M.D.  “Faith in its most real form is really an act of trust that I place in a real person. So when I say I have faith in a person, whether it's Jesus or somebody else, it is because I am offering things about my life to them that I am entrusting to them in real ways. It's easy for us to talk about having faith in God, we just don't trust human beings. The degree to which we actually trust God is measured in terms of the degree to which we trust others.” - Dr. Curt Thompson, M.D. “Suffering is what draws us together in so many ways that shapes, deepens, authenticates the relationship that we have, and so opens our minds and hearts and awareness to what it means for us to share in the sufferings that Jesus experienced.” - Dr. Curt Thompson, M.D.  “Our God's vision was for us to be those who, as His image bearers, steward and create and curate beauty and goodness in the world.” - Dr. Curt Thompson, M.D. ________________________ Enjoy watching these additional videos from Jesus Calling YouTube channel! The NFL Preseason kicked off last week for the Philadelphia Eagles when they hosted the Baltimore Ravens. Former Philadelphia Eagles players Irving Fryar and Hollis Thomas sit down to take a look at last week's narrowing loss and what changes should be made before the Eagles take on the Cleveland Browns. Should Jalen Hurts take a snap during that game? Tanner McKee had 10 completions for 148 yards and rushed 1 time for 7 yards, while Marcus Mariota had 7 completions for 58 yards and rushed 4 times for 29 total yards.. Will Head Coach Nick Sirianni continue to test the Quarterbacks? Or will the Franchise Player make his first appearance for the 2023 NFL season? Irving Fryar, as a former NFL wide receiver, gives his insight on what these quarterbacks need to be doing to ensure they have a spot come the start of the season. Switching to the defensive side of the ball, there has been a lot of discussion over who will start at the safety position. Will it be Terell Edmunds or Sydney Brown? Last week Brown had 9 tackles while Edmunds only had 2 but one of those was a sack. That would be the Eagle's only sack of the evening. Jalen Carter also made himself known to Eagles fans while Jordan Davis seemed to hide in the shadows. As a defensive veteran, Hollis Thomas takes us inside the mind of this Eagles defense and what they young NFL stars are going to have to do to make sure they start against the New England Patriots in Week 1. Climb aboard your wayback machine with Hollis Thomas as he takes us back through History this week on “History With Hollis”. Where will we go this week? What interesting facts will we learn? Football is Back! With the offseason coming to an end. I began creating Team Reports for all 32 teams. In this Team Reports we go over what happened in the 2022 season. I share key stats. We look at front office changes to coaching changes. We cover all free agent signings and breakdown some of the offseason biggest trades. We look at the draft and look for the next biggest star. I give fantasy advice and make predictions based on my own opinions & ideas.  Let's Jump into it! What a year for Head Coach Nick Sirianni and QB Jalen Hurts. From being benched in 2021 to the beginning of 2022 having every doubt him to going 8-0. Finishing the year 14-3 and having an MVP type season, dominating in the playoffs against the Giants and 49ers. To beginning a few plays away from winning the Super Bowl against the Chiefs. Jalen Hurts showed us all so much last year. After his big contract I couldn't be happier for him. Big offseason as the Eagles look to rebound from the Super Bowl loss. Jalen Hurts returns with his top 3 options from last year in WR AJ Brown, WR DeVonta Smith, and TE Dallas Goedert. They lose Miles Sanders but bring in D'Andre Swift and Rashaad Penny to carry the load. Offensive line should be one of the better units returning 4 of 5 starters. Defense has an insane year last year. They arguably are better than last year. On the defensive line. Look out for the 9th overall pick Jalen Carter to destroy opposing teams game plans. Insane he fell to the 9th overall pick. He's reunited with his old teammate in Jordan Davis who's also a freak of nature. Those two guys in the middle could be a problem. Another Georgia Bulldog Nakobe Dean will have a breakout year. This coming year. Brandon Graham, Fletcher Cox, and James Bradberry are back with the team. Along with Darius Slay who is one of the top corners in the NFL and let's not forget Haason Reddick who had a dominate year last year. There may not be a team more talented on paper than them. My question is can they overcome losing their offensive coordinar and defensive coordinator in the same offseason? Although the strength of schedule will be tougher, Jalen Hurts has shown us time and time again he can perform under pressure. Their biggest competition will be the Dallas Cowboys. Fly Eagles Fly

Hour 1: The Mets season is officially over after dealing their closer, David Robertson, to the Marlins. The freaking Marlins. The Marlins are buyers and the Mets are sellers. Unreal. Sean Payton went after Nathaniel Hackett for his job as Head Coach of the Broncos and went after the Jets for winning the offseason. He seemingly predicted the Jets would have a bad season. He is predicting the Jets will have a season like the Broncos did last year. And Joe Burrow went down in practice but it looks like it's only a strained calf. C-Lo is here for his first update but first Gio has the hiccups. Boomer thinks he needs the Heimlich. C-Lo starts with Pete Alonso talking about the trade of David Robertson. Robertson wanted to be with the Mets so he's disappointed. Billy Eppler said teams have been calling and they've been listening. In a double-header, Shohei Ohtana had a complete game shutout in game 1 and hit 2 HRs in game 2. Rob Saleh reacted to Sean Payton's comments saying ‘hate away'. He also said ‘there's a lot of crows peckin' at our neck'. In the final segment of the hour, the interns seem to just sit and scroll on their phones. Callers tell us Rob Saleh's crow analogy is an Instagram meme.  Hour 2: Anna, the intern from the University of Richmond comes in studio as we have questions about the internship program. She doesn't know who Boomer is but she guessed correctly when we asked her which sport he played. We also took a call about poor officiating in the NFL, MLB and NBA. C-Lo returns for an update but first he talked about going to see Jordan Davis and Dierks Bentley last night. Gio went golfing again yesterday in NJ. C-Lo starts with the Mets beating the Nationals after a 90 minute rain delay. Three more Mets were hit by pitches. Ron Darling said the Mets need to do something in retaliation. David Robertson was traded to the Marlins, meaning the Mets are sellers and the season is over. Boomer said the Yankees are all in and they are going to get a left fielder. Shohei Ohtani threw a complete game shutout in game 1 against the Tigers and hit 2 HRs in game two of the double header. Saquon Barkley had an epiphany and signed his deal with the Giants. In the final segment of the hour, a manatee had high intensity sex with his brother and the brother died.  Hour 3: Boomer is on vacation next week. Joe Benigno will co-host with Gio Tuesday and Wednesday. Stugotz will host Thursday and Friday. On Monday, Al will co-host 6-9am and Anthony Gallo will co-host 9-10am as Gio owes him one. Boomer & Gio were invited to a listener's wedding in Sparta, NJ. C-Lo returns for an update but first Boomer & Gio get fan mail that is handwritten and impossible to read. We took many calls from people who think Shaun Morash talks too much on the afternoon show. In the final segment of the hour, PJ calls in. He invited us to his wedding in Sparta, NJ.  Hour 4: Joe Burrow was injured yesterday but it seems to be a minor calf injury. The backup for the Bengals is Trevor Siemian. We took more calls on people who either love or hate Shaun Morash on the afternoon show. C-Lo is here for his final update and starts with the Mets beating the Nationals but trading David Robertson in the process, so they are sellers. Saquon Barkley talked about the epiphany he had that made him decide to sign with the Giants. Darius Slayton said Daniel Jones was looking good in camp because he already knows the system. Charlotte football coach Biff Poggi fired back at the media and wants to bounce their heads off the pavement. In the final segment of the week, Dalvin Cook was on NFL Network and said odds are pretty high that he will sign with the Jets. Boomer still thinks he's going to Miami and just using the Jets to get more from the Dolphins.

Hour 1: Last night we saw the Mets team they were supposed to be all season. Justin Verlander pitched great, Pete Alonso hit 2 HRs. This is the team they were supposed to be. But their bullpen did not look good. The Yankees season seems to be at a crossroads right now. Justin Herbert got a huge extension with the Chargers. Joe Burrow is up next. Details of the Aaron Rodgers contract emerged and it's going to cost the Jets over $100 million next season. If Rodgers plays for 3 years, Zach Wilson is a goner. Boomer said Zach Wilson could be the next Geno Smith. It's rare, but it does happen. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with the sounds of the Mets beating the Yankees last night 9-3. Alonso talked about finally being productive the last few games. Verlander said he's starting to feel sharper. Francisco Alvarez was hit on the hand with a pitch but x-rays were negative. Aaron Judge could be back this weekend against the Orioles. The Braves turned a very rare 8-3-5 triple play. Brian Daboll talked about having Saquon Barkley signed. Mike Francesa was on SNY with Sal Licata and JJ. Chris Russo had a problem pronouncing ‘click bait'. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer said route 22 in Union, NJ has more strip malls than anyplace on Long Island. The Gilgo Beach killer did not have any bodies buried in the backyard so his family is free to move back into the house. Boomer couldn't believe the wife and kids would want to move back into that house.  Hour 2: Jaylen Brown got a super-max contract with the Celtics. Gio said this feels like the most overplayed player ever in sports. This is a record breaking contract. He's not even the best player on his own team and he's the highest paid player in the NBA now. Justin Herbert also got a huge deal from the Chargers which means Joe Burrow is up next. Evan needs to step his game up in the looks/fashion department now that he's sitting next to Tiki Barber. Morash wants to be called Shaun instead of his last name. Jerry returns for an update. He will be going to see Jordan Davis & Dierks Bentley Thursday night. Gio is playing golf Thursday when it's supposed to feel live over 100 degrees. Jerry starts with audio from last night's Mets win over the Yankees. Alonso hit 2 HRs and had 5 RBIs. Alonso said he kept it simple, swinging at stuff in his area. Verlander pitched well and said he's not thinking about the trade deadline. Francisco Alvarez took a pitch to his hand but x-rays were negative. The Giants have their first training camp practice today. Jerry Jones talked about offensive play calling. Bill Belichick was asked about expectations and he gave the type of answer you expect. Ron Rivera is pumped for new ownership in Washington. In the final segment of the hour, Ariana Grande has a new boyfriend and he is not a good looking guy. Gio said the guy looks like ‘if Evan got too close to the microwave'. He also thinks he looks like Evan's brother, if he lived near Chernobyl.  Hour 3: Sean Payton commented on the NFL gambling policy, saying they are sending players away instead of giving them help. Boomer said the rules are pretty clear. 10 NFL players have been suspended for gambling so far. A caller said Morash talks the entire afternoon show and wonders why his name is not in the title. Gio shares his theory. Jerry returns for an update and starts with audio from last night's Mets win over the Yankees in the Bronx. Buck Showalter talked about Alonso's 2 HRs. Alonso talked about Verlander giving them a solid six innings. Breaking news: Andrew Thomas just signed a huge 5-year extension with the Giants. Jerry said if he's Saquon he's pissed. Aaron Boone was on with Jomboy and didn't seem amused by his ‘trivia'. Carl Lawson of the Jets is trying not to pay attention to all the attention the Jets are getting. Robert Saleh said Aaron Rodgers ‘glows in the dark'. Jerry Jones talked about the Franchise Tag on Tony Pollard. Brock Purdy has been cleared with no restrictions and Christian McCaffrey is happy about that. In the final segment of the hour, we were nominated for a Marconi Award for ‘Major Market Personality of The Year'.  Hour 4: A crane collapsed in NYC this morning and a crazy video of it has emerged. The Mets beat the Yankees last night and tonight the Yankees have Carlos Rodon on the mound. Boomer called him a ‘thorn in Brian Cashman's side'. Three of Dave Gettleman's picks got second contracts and Boomer wonders if it changes his legacy. Boomer would still take Joe Schoen over Gettleman. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Pete Alonso hitting 2 HRs and collecting 5 RBIs as the Mets beat the Yankees. Justin Verlander said he feels sharper in his last few starts. Francisco Alvarez was hit in the hand with a pitch but the x-rays were negative. In the final segment of the show, Gio was wondering how many midday shows Dov has run the board for. He has been at WFAN since day 1. There have been 10 midday shows that he worked and 12 total.

A lot of fans have invested money in this team and paid for tickets for future games and they are not living up to their end of the bargain. Gio said Mets fans need to detach from the team but Boomer isn't doing that. Gio vowed not to talk about the Mets again unless something major happened and now Steve Cohen is going to talk so we have to talk about them again. Maybe there's internal strife going on with the Mets. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the Mets actually having some offense and beating the Brewers. They hit 4 HRs. Nimmo hit 2, Lindor and Vogelbach also had homers. The Yankees lost to the lowly A's, 2-1 in Oakland. Josh Donaldson did hit a HR in the loss. Shohei Ohtani hit 2 HRs and struck out 10.
