Welcome to “That's What We Said,” a podcast that gives you more satisfaction than sliding in a “that’s what she said” joke. We’re completely inappropriate as we explore the real truth behind being 30+ – no ring, no baby carriage. We’ve attended hundreds of baby showers, given up on dating apps and are the sole survivors of non-engaged/married individuals in our families. We love our married friends, take pride in being the coolest Aunt to their kids, but we would be richer than Kylie Jenner if we had a dollar for every time someone asked us if we found the one yet. Breaking news: We’re still single but hope to date someone worthwhile this decade. Sometimes, we get real crazy and talk reality TV, sports and the botox we still haven’t had the guts to get. Please grab a drink and listen responsibly.
Nicole Anastasi & Jennifer Knoeppel
Just when you want to stop talking about the Kardashians, there's a shotgun Las Vegas wedding and all the tongues. In this week's episode of Bubbles and Bullshit, Jen and Nicole talk through all the current events from the Grammy's red carpet to Kristin Cavallari just owning the news cycle and Tyler Cameron for the social media win. After all the pop news, the duo vow to go on a social media hiatus for the next week. Will it be hard? Will they be able to make it the week? And, what did the podcast hosts wager for the person who checks their IG the most? If that doesn't intrigue you, then you'll definitely want to tune in for their frat party shenanigans and what they are planning to kick of their warmer weather days.
In this week's Bubbles and Bullshit, Jen and Nicole discuss the slap heard round the world and how far someone should go to defend their significant other. While the two don't condone violence, when is it too far and where is it appropriate to defend your loved one's honor? The line is gray and situational based, but we should be able to show our love in some capacity that is not violent. In addition to the Will Smith vs. Chris Rock situation, the two discuss the Kravis PDA, Will Packers ability to deliver energy to what used to be a boring Awards Show and the red carpet moments. Nicole could also not go a week without providing an update on her Buffalo Bills and their new Stadium.
There are no lack of current events as the Kardashians (all of them) dominate the news cycle this week. From space and no space to Grammy's revoke and Wolf begone - all was pumped out of the Kardashian PR team this week. From there NFL trades continue to be baffling and Austen from Southern Charm creates an epic love triangle in Summer House. Why can't everybody just get along...or keep their mouthes and pants to themselves? After all the pop culture news, the two talk about their inability to make decisions. Why is picking out outfits or a place to grab drinks so hard? They also dive into all the decisions people are faced and how sometimes the biggest ones are easiest. Just don't trust your gut and make decisions while tipsy. No. 1 Tip delivered in this week's episode of Bubbles and Bullshit.
Bubbles and Bullshit hosts Jen and Nicole are back for their weekly shenanigans, which this week include horny emojis and different levels of cheating. What's worst a one night stand in Vegas or an emotional relationship where nothing physical happens? Also, why are most narcissists also cheaters? And, a tale as old as time...once a cheater, always a cheater? Before getting into all things cheating, the two chat through Tom Brady's latest bullshit, Kardashian nonsense - Kravis, Skete texts - it doesn't matter and the light at the end of the Sunshine Bill. Tune in for this and more from the two badasses behind this week's Bubbles and Bullshit.
After a month of travel, Jen and Nicole finally find time to get together and chat through all the happenings of the last month. A lot has happened in the world from masks mandates being removed, people going back to the office and gas prices rising to record levels. The duo talk about how they have started transitioning back to their travel work lives, as well as catch up on all the sports and pop culture news. They still dont understand why the MLB is in a lockout and are shocked to see Aaron Rodgers stay in the Packers for a record $200M salary. Before they get into their topic of the day, they dive into Wordle, Nerdle and Lewdle - the dirty 5-letter daily world game. The words get a bit inappropriate as they dive into their guessing. To round out the episode, the two dive into toxic positivity, which is the over exaggeration of positive vibes. While they admit to trying to be overly positive, or "Polly Positive," some times one just wants to be a dick and say screw it and tell people how they really feel.
After a brief hiatus for COVID, Jen and Nicole are back at it updating listeners on their lives giving updates on their travels, latest TV show binges and how work is getting back to pre-COVID craziness. The duo chat through how as travel and getting back to the office ramps up they are faced with the worst things of pre-COVID and COVID making life challenging to navigate through. Some of the shows they talk through include Kristen Bell's newest Netflix thriller, Sweet Magnolias and the Tinder Swindler. And, the two podcast host really want to know did Kristen hook up with Craig? One of them is lying, and their money is on the Uncommon James founder.
Weather put this week's Bubbles and Bullshit a bit behind schedule, but Jen and Nicole quickly catch up their listeners on their weekly shenanigans. Jen was doing donuts in the snow and Nicole was prancing around in the hot tub. Seems about right. This week's topic focuses on common sense and people's lack thereof. Did you know that the most intelligent humans tend to lack common sense? Or, how people have 0 common sense when it comes to the microwave? Jen and Nicole also point out the obvious situations where people are completely lost...the airport...when parking. In addition to talking about the weather and all things common sense, the duo also chat through the Bills epic win and the Cowboys epic fail. Bills Mafia was in full effect with both Jim Kelly and Thurman Thomas rooting the home team on from the sideline amidst the below zero temperatures. Other topics include Jana Kramer's recent social media diarrhea, Meatloaf's recent death and Nicole breaking her Botox cherry.
In their second episode of Bubbles and Bullshit, Jen and Nicole take on all things FEAR. Inspired by the Will Smith quote that fear is fake, the duo talk through how it simply something manifested in one's own mind. In all reality its simply a cop out. They caution there is a clear distinction between fear and actual danger and in order to move forward in life one must put fear to the side and trek forward. Before they dive into how fear is fabricated inside one's own ego, the two chat through the upcoming football playoffs with deep dives into the Bills and Cowboys matchups. Nicole also divulges on her impromptu purchase while preparing for her playoff party for the game. Other NFL storylines includes a swan song for Ben Roethlisberger and Tom Brady's bromance for Gronkowski. There is also a very special tribute to America's TV Dad Bob Saget and talk through Jana Kramers new relationship and how people feel it necessary to proclaim their love on social media when they are in a new relationship and that's their BS of the week.

Newsflash: If someone wants to hang out with you, they will. If you continuously ask someone...a friend, potential lover even a family member if they want to get together and it still hasn't happened that means they aren't prioritizing you in their life. Why are doing nice and special things for people a bad thing? Why do nice guys and girls always finish last? As a continuation of their fake nice guys podcast, the That's What We Said Podcast hosts talk about why being nice can backfire. It's definitely a tricky balance of being too nice while still keeping things exciting and adventurous. No one wants a person in their life to make things too easy or too available, especially when it turns into a relationship where the energy is sucked out of the whole situation. The moral of the story of this week That's What We Said Podcast is being nice shouldn't be a bad thing and the best things come out when you are just yourself. Before diving into all things about being nice, they talk about all the love and engagements in the air. Kravis is about to being their families together, Madison Lecroy has found her forever man and Theresa Guidice has officially upgraded. This and more on this week's unfiltered That's What We Said Podcast.

It's 42 minutes of your life, they promise you'll laugh at least once.
While preparation is key, some times Jen and Nicole go off the cuff a bit and while they thought about dedicating this week's That's What We Said episode to chips and queso they ended up with FNGs - Fake Nice Guys. The dudes (and girls too) who will fake their ways through life so they can feel better about themselves. They both agree blunt, cocky people are more real -- and easier to deal with. In addition to FNGs, the duo talk about all things Jay and Jana, the Bills and Cowboys wins and a recent F1 documentary on Michael Schumacher. There was also a special shout out to the appearance of vodka Nicole at a recent wedding. Who knew Vodka Nicole could have such a potty mouth and be so much fun? Tune in to listen to how fun and more.
In what's usually a very planned out episode of the That's What We Said Podcast, Jen and Nicole decide to switch things up a bit and take to winging it throughout the whole podcast. They talk through saying yes more in life and not feeling like they need to plan everything - also not caring so much when you do something. However, they do call out that every now and again that laissez fair attitude leads to a bad decision. In addition, Cutlers Cuts are back as he hits the Nashville dating scene and some first NFL observations are provided. Spoiler: Nicole took the Bills loss really hard.
Cutler's Cuts was back in full swing today as Jen and Nicole dive into the latest dating news with the Cutlers and Cavallari's...and now the Kramers? Whose taller Jay Cutler or Chase Rice? In addition, the two chat through Nicole's 5 seconds back on Hinge and the newest addition to Jen's family before diving into what and how people should share information on their dating lives on social media. Should they post they are single AF? Is PDA-filled romps appropriate for anyone -- even celebs? What about the "we're official" post? Is it necessary? Their opinions may be controversial, but at least they are honest. Tune in to find out their biggest pet peeves and more.
There are a million ways to communicate with people. Text. Phone. Messenger. Social Media. But, is that a good or bad thing? Jen and Nicole discuss the exhaustion of communicating on this week's That's What We Said Podcast. It seems now more than ever it's actually more difficult to connect with others. Before the Podcast lovelies get into communication 411, they chat through Jay Cutler's new podcast "Uncut with Jay Cutler," along with the latest Kardashian baby and all the things in between. Listen in for more of their fun banter on life, cocktails and the weird constant communication world we live in.
There is nothing worst than an obnoxious human at the airport or a restaurant. Or, how about the friend who regularly flakes on plans? These are key things that Jen and Nicole classify as bad behavior. It seems society is better at being bad than good these days. Maybe it's the pandemic, maybe it's stress or maybe people have just forgotten how to be good and behave. To learn what really gets them going listen in on this week's That's What We Said Podcast. As always, before they dive into their weekly topic, they talk about how #FreeBritney has transformed to #FreetheNips and how Jen still can't get behind Operation Romance Selling Sunset edition. Spoiler alert Jen has finished Outer Banks and was not that impressed. The duo discuss were the last few episodes too much?
Tall. Dark. Handsome. Artsy. Mysterious. Jock. Funny guy. Which one or all do Jen and Nicole put on their list of deal breakers when it comes to men? Are they people who have a type? The answers might surprise some as the two quiz each on their types and end up on completely on opposite sides -- well besides one thing they both tend to put on rinse and repeat. Cockiness anyone? In addition to all the shenanigans on who tickles their fancy and rapid fire on TV men they prefer, the two talk through OBX Season 2, the Bachelorette and Greg's gaslighting, all the fun facts that Nicole learns from Pillows and Beer that help guide their podcast, as well as Josh Allen's new deal. For all the 411 on how they barely navigate through life, listen in.
In the latest that's what we said podcast, Jen and Nicole go through gut instinct and when it's the best to go with those secret intuitions. But, they're not so secret as gut instincts are all about science. Who knew the stomach has so many nerves? Jen and Nicole definitely did not. And let's not (even though they will) talk about what imbibing does to going with your gut. Before they chat through all the science, they give listeners their take on Outer Banks, the most interesting Selling Sunset romance and their mutual love for Chesapeake Shores and all Jen's travels.
After a brief hiatus for travels, Jen and Nicole are back for this week's That's What We Said Podcast where the two go through their travels and everything in between. From NJ, Baby Showers, Newport and Buffalo - the duo had the Northeast on lockdown throughout the last month. Before travel and lifeupdates, they kick things off chatting through #FreeBritney and how she should come on their podcast, and how the American icon deserves her money and some freedom. They also give their take on the latest Southern Charm drama, with former cast mate Naomi left heartbroken. Is sexting cheating? Listen in to see if the two give their POV on if it's worse than physical cheating. They round out the episode chatting through Netflix's new hot show Sex Life, whether that package is real and quick update on Nicole's dating life. It's been a whirlwind of let downs and flakes but she's staying on the saddle.
The world moves fast and sometimes you need to check yourself as self awareness is a very powerful tool in life. In this week's That's What We Said Podcast, Jen and Nicole reflect on how self aware they are, as well as how they deal with people who have zero self awareness. Spoiler alert: it's not easy. Whether navigating life, relationships or work, the duo comment on how self awareness can be situational and grows as you mature. Their younger selves really failed at times. In addition to self awareness, they chat through why people go back to people who have cheated, another Kardashian break up and everything in between.
They say finding friends at the schoolyard is hard, but finding friends once you're an "adult" isn't any easier. While saying best friends forever (BFFs) was easy as a child, once you're an adult you realize it's almost impossible. In this week's That's What We Said Podcast, Jen and Nicole chat through how they find friends. Understandably, they acknowledge that you have to take the time for it and be consistent. They also chat through all the ways you can meet friends as you get older and if they have ever tried any of the friend-finding apps. So, if you are looking to meet a new friend, maybe give a listen and they'll have a piece of advice that you can use to make socializing a bit easier. Before they dive into friend finding, they also chat through why celebrities think its okay to blast other celebs. Newsflash, it's not because they are trying to make friends. They also chat through Madison LeCroy's new beau.
Back from the Caribbean and wine country, Jen and Nicole discuss peer pressure in this week's That's What We Said podcast. Different from peer pressure when you are a kid, adult peer pressure takes on a whole new level of PRESSURE. From not wanting to disappoint your friends, to fear of never getting invited to something again, there's a lot of factors in play. And, then there's the pressure to date, get married or have kids. To hear all the trials and tribulations of peer pressure and the latest celebrity babies to enter this world, listen to this week's episode.
You look great. That presentation was fire. Why is it so difficult to accept such statements with a polite thank you? On this week's That's What We Said Podcast Jen and Nicole talk through all the reasons we (especially all you ladies out there) are absolutely terrible at accepting any type of compliment. We deflect, skip topics to something else and worst but certainly not least, we deny, deny, deny....anything that could be worthy of any type of praise. Some articles state that people are just being humble, but Jen and Nicole talk through how people (including themselves) are just dumb. Take the compliment. In addition to all the compliment talk, Jen and Nicole talk about their busy schedules and the continuous lack of pop culture. The podcast is wrapped up with a sneak peak at Nicole's pledge for a "fun" summer and commitment to not being so nice to people who are just plain rude and undeserving.
In a coffee fueled edition of the That's What We Said Podcast, Jen and Nicole discuss why people feel the need to be fake. From the people who are 'fake nice' to everyone to the people who have zero intentions of hanging out, even though they keep suggesting such activities. It really makes no sense. Before diving into that, they talk Friends Reunion, the lack of culture the last week and their somewhat crazy schedules now that things are opening up. Lastly, the energy is on point for their kickoff discussion on why people put their Venmo accounts in their profiles. Seriously, why? You'll have to listen to find out.
On this week's That's What We Said Podcast, Jen and Nicole dive into all things "odd person" out in exactly what it means to be the third wheel. While a google search on the definition of the word calls the third wheel "unnecessary" the podcast duo completely disagree with that statement. From weddings to dinner dates and horror stories - there is no stone left unturned as they discuss #thirdwheellife. Before diving into all things third wheel, they also chat through what has them entertained. Nicole kicks off the podcast with a public service announcement for all those travelers out there who want to rent a house somewhere this summer, do not use VRBO or Airbnb. The hosts can cancel your reservation without any repercussions, leaving you, friends and family stranded. This happened to Nicole's family vacation and encourages all potential renters to beware. In addition to Nicole's rant, they chat NFL schedule, surprise weddings and everything pop culture in the last week.
There's nothing more gratifying than getting out of your comfort zone and absolutely killing it. In this week's That's What We Said episode, Jennifer and Nicole go into what it takes to get them out of their comfort zones. Hello, this podcast for starters. From career pivots and relationships to the bedroom (okay, maybe not the bedroom) they give their listeners some helpful tips on how to embrace your inner badass and do things that at surface level seem a bit scary. Before they dive all into what it takes to get outside the zone, the two chat on Bennifer (is it real?), the latest Southern Charm shenanigans, Tebow's return and the fact that the Southeast is out of gas...and its ridiculous.
In this week's That's What We Said Podcast, Jen and Nicole chat through having patience. All of America seems to be on edge and patience at a minimum. Whether dealing with lines at the grocery store, your friends and family, or even waiters and waitresses, sometimes it's really challenging to have patience in life. At times everything can be annoying. The two also go through tips and tricks on when to breathe, take a minute....and relax. In normal podcast fashion, the two kick start their chat with a download on the NFL Draft, the upcoming Siesta Key and The Hills (hello, Brody) TV premieres and wish their Moms, Friends and Family a Happy Mother's Day.
In this week's That's What We Said Podcast, Jen and Nicole take to the beach as they get out of their bubbles for the first time to explore the sandy beaches of Florida. The trip was full of bizarre encounters from a doctor juggling multiple women, a very pretentious woman bossing waiters around on the beach and a few signs that getting hitched may not be as exciting as they think. Before they get into all their beach extravaganzas the two chat through all the make-outs and break-ups in Hollywood. From Jana Kramer and Khloe Kardashian infidelity rumors to Kourtney Kardashian who can't keep her hands (and ass) off her new beau Travis Barker, there was a lot to talk about as it pertains what's meant to be. They wrap up their culture updates with a few football rumors, will he or won't he stay in Green Bay. All this and more on the That's What We Said podcast.
There's nothing worse than scrolling through IG and realizing everyone looks the same. Literally everyone. On the heels of the Khloe Kardashian photo leak, this week on the That's What We Said Podcast, Jen and Nicole dive into why they sometimes filter their images, why society as a whole filters their images....and most importantly why everyone should just stop. It's a rabbit hole of craziness of the wildly different images that supposedly depict real life. Fun Instagram handles @celebface, @s0cialmediavsreality and @instavsreality really showcase the perils of why a camera angles, lighting or a filter can really do wonders. Before diving into all things filtered, the podcast duo chat about the hectic week of pop culture news, J-Rod is officially done, Alex "Comeback Kid" Smith has retired, Colton Underwood has come out and Siesta Key and The Hills are both coming back. Still nothing but animals from Jay Cutler, but the two still have a few laughs, unfortunately, this week it is at Nicole's expense and her "week". Listen to hear these things and more.
Life knows no bounds, so in this week's That's What We Said Podcast, Jen and Nicole dissect all the things related to setting boundaries at work and with friends and family. A critical part of boundary setting is communicating - but how do you tell your mom that you are having a person of interest over? Or, how do you tell one of your besties that don't really like going to breweries or that fancy whiskey spot? It's not easy and some times not fun. Jen and Nicole talk about how they navigate all this in a world that demands so much, especially when one is a people pleaser. Before getting into the boundaries they lack, they discuss all things going on in this crazy world. Who was Madison from Bravo's Southern Charm seen kissing? Is Real Housewives of Nashville a thing? Why isn't Jay Cutler doing anything fun? Are Aaron and Shailene really this cute? And last, but certainly not least, everyone should take a second to listen to the 10 Questions with Kyle Brandt episode with Josh Allen. #BillsMafia
In the latest edition of the That's What We Said podcast, Jen and Nicole throwback a few cocktails for their regular "Cocktails with Coco and Knoeppel" feature. The two give a series of tips and tricks for spring and summer cocktails, including ways to enhance your traditional mimosa. No need to stick with only OJ friends. In addition, they go into their rapid-fire "Cocktail Confessionals" where the two divulge all their secrets. What movie resembles their real lives? Most irrational fears? They give honest answers, no filters necessary. Jen even plays a good game of (FMK - F@#$, Marry, Kill) with some of her favorite football players and reality TV stars. Before they get into all that, they give updates on NFL happenings, Aaron Rodgers as a Jeopardy host and their thoughts on Netflix's "Who Killed Sara?"
There's never a dull moment in the lives of the That's What We Said Podcast hosts Jen and Nicole, that's why this week they take on society's obsession with planning everything. From their single friends who share all their brunch and activities on Instagram to their parent friends who have their kids going non stop, no one wants to admit they have nothing going on. In reality, the best days are the most spontaneous days. In addition to tips and tricks on how to avoid over planning, Jen and Nicole chat through the new NFL schedule, their hopes to return to football games this fall and their love of the guys from Southern Charm. Nicole has been on a binge listening to both Shep Rose's Average Expectations book, along with Austin and Craig's Pillows and Beer Podcast. Cutler's Cuts has officially...been cut from this podcast until further notice.
SPECIAL EDITION PODCAST HERE! This week on the "That's What We Said Podcast," Jen and Nicole interview one of their male friends Casey, who is also in his late 30s and single. It's a fun conversation as the threesome (get your head out of the gutter) chat through all things dating as a dude. Did you know that if a guy texts you to check in after not hearing from him for weeks he is probably just bored? Casey has all the tips on his dating philosophy and it's much different than the podcast duo. Let's start with the fact that he puts a time limit on first dates. Does it work or does it end in disaster? Listen to find out. Before the group gets into the "dirty" aka dating 101 they talk about Casey's travels. They are fun, different and something that everyone should try once in their lives. He finds the most interesting places from the Mystery Lights in Texas to the UFO Welcome Center in Bowman, SC and sometimes sleeps on top of his car (in a tent of course). They end the Podcast with Casey putting a pretty aggressive challenge to his two single female friends - get yourselves out there. To find out about that and more, tune into this week's most unfiltered version (albeit pretty funny) edition of the TWWS Podcast. Follow the group: @jennieannknoeppel, @nicole_anastasi and @caseysworldtour.
365 Days. It has been 365 days of mask wearing, hand sanitizing and social distancing. Jen and Nicole reflect on all that has changed throughout the last COVID year in this week's That's What We Said Podcast. While they both consider the peak of their year starting their podcast, there has been countless of things that are so different that they know their old ways of life will never again be a normal routine. Conference calls are weird, PDA in crowded bars makes Nicole's skin crawl and Jen doesn't know if going back to the office every day will ever again be a thing. Tune in to listen to their take on how things have changed, along with their usual pop culture updates. Can celebs stop breaking up (not breaking up?)? Please?
Nothing makes the heart grow fonder than two weeks without our Podcast. No need to be alarmed as Jen and Nicole (aka Jennicole) are not breaking up. All is well in That's What We Said paradise. Sadly, Nicole was taken away from the mic to mourn a death in the family. Her loss led to inspiration for today's episode. Losing her grandfather Bernie was hard, but she is grateful (and blessed) for the memories and while she compares the love of her grandfather Bernie and grandmother Bernetta to that of Noah and Ally from Nicholas Sparks' The Notebook, she and Jen can't help but think true love is dead. There is no courting. Chivalry does not exist. Sliding into DMs is not hard. When you are in a relationship with someone, there is a constant one is not good enough. No one communicates and Netflix and Chill is more normal than actual communication. The list goes on and on, but before they dive into all that is true love (or the lack thereof) in today's society, they go through all the pop culture updates. The Royals have captured headlines as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry give the 411 on life with (and without) the Crown. Aaron Rodgers continues to be a Jeopardy nerd, but when he's not studying for that he's thinking about being a dad! A DAD!? JJ has found a home and Dak gets P-A-I-D! This and more in this week's That's What we Said Podcast!
We get it. It's raining, in some places it's snowing and there is not much to do. In this week's That's What We Said Podcast Jen and Nicole acknowledge that amidst the long month of February and a global pandemic there aren't a lot of options to keep busy or be spontaneous. While they start their days off with workout classes and end with fancy cocktails, the in-between time can drag on and they aren't fans of origami or puzzles. However, they do give some ideas - virtual magician? Their pop culture updates run the gambut from #FreeBritney and the NFL free agency circus to Netflix and Kristen Hannah's Firefly Lane.
It's time for chocolate covered strawberries, bubbly and your besties. While there are countless holidays in February, Galentine's Day is the one that we are excited to rally around.
