The Power Behind Women Who Speak With God Usually, their prayer simply starts with “Oh Lord, I pray…” In this unique, insightful and revelatory episode, we show the power behind four women who simply speak to God following the path of 3 P's namely Protection (Nurturing), Prayer and Praise. Three of them are the Biblical figures of Miriam, Hanna and Mary. The fourth one is contemporary and is simply, your mother. This is the path that fulfilled the prophecy in Isaiah 33:22 that stated that our God is the Lawgiver, Our Judge and Our King. Through this path God gave us Moses, Samuel, Jesus and YOU. It's the path of Redemption that shows you the amazing power and oneness of the Trinity and God's love and desire to reach man. Allyship, amplification and understanding are incredibly important. I am celebrating the history of Black History Month, two amazing women to inspire me personally and professionally and ways we can be better allies of support. It can be hard to have tough conversations, but these are issues our black friends, colleagues and even family members are living with on a day to day basis. These are conversations that are happening more and more frequently at home in the workplace and can be tough to navigate but are so important to truly reach an inclusive state and close the gap on a variety of disparities.

I’ve had both a challenging and exhilarating relationship with public speaking - from growing up absolutely dreading it and avoiding it at all costs, to discovering that when I am finally up there and doing it, I have a lot to share, and am been able to make a meaningful impact. Today’s guest Johanna Walker shares her story of growing up on the more shy and quiet side only to discover the profound presence and power of her voice on stage. She went on to craft a powerful talk about her journey of navigating grief after growing older and one day realizing she would never become a mother. It was through hearing another woman’s story that she could relate to that pulled her out of the grief and into a mission of telling her own story and supporting others to do the same. She now encourages all of us to tell the stories we never thought we would want to tell because of how much they may help someone else. There are many powerful take-aways in today’s episode ~ I hope you enjoy it. The music that captivates us is often an extention of oneself. In the 90s, that is exactly what Tori Amos was for our friend Sam. Who knew that a casual Saturday night watching SNL would blossom into a musical relationship for over 20 years? Tori Amos and many other ‘vocal brauds’ are raw and real. They speak, we listen. Now hear our friend Sam tell us why she likes “women who talk about stuff.” See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
