Welcome to another chapter of my Thrifting Audio Diary. Each week I invite a friend of mine out on my Thrifting Adventures. We spend the day scavenging, bring our loot back to the studio, then record what we found.Josh Larkin joins me once again for what I feel is one of the best episodes we have done so far. As two individuals who have some struggles with mental health we both were on a rare upswing, so we decided to talk about our friendship..and yeah, also the toys and collectibles I keep in my closet. This Week's Thrifty Finds / Discussion Topics :- Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn matching Best Friend pins.- The release of my soon to be very known and famous Christmas Hip Hop EP "Delicious Cookie"- ME AT MY CORE : A segment in which we take an in depth look at my collection of The CORPS Action Figures from the late 80s- early 90s.- G-Man's Record Dump that Josh picked up. Ray Charles, Hank Wiliams SR., Heart, Elton John, etc..- Western PA Mary, who may have died while thrifting.- THE ROACH COACH : We take emails from the listeners of the show. Have we ever thrifted in Central PA? Mid 90s Disney VHS. Where we were on 9/11.Special thanks to :BLUFFS for "Alternate Reality", the theme to our show for many reasons. (https://steveberes.bandcamp.com)The Pinheads for "Lucky Egg" off their EP Olympia. These cats hail from Pittsburgh, PA!(https://thepinheads.bandcamp.com)You can email the show at thriftypodcast@yahoo.com . Episode 76's guest is stand up comedian, the host of "Wrestling With Depression," and the co-host of "Marty & Sarah Love Wrestling," Mr. Marty DeRosa! You may also know Marty from his youtube shows with Colt Cabana, "Creative Has Nothing For You," and "Worst Promo Ever." This is the second go round recording with Marty, after unfortunately, the audio from the first one didn't record properly, due to a mistake on my end. So I was glad Marty gave me another opportunity to record with him, and we covered the gamut when it comes to pro wrestling in 2016. We talk about his thoughts on Colt Cabana's return to Ring Of Honor, and the main event with Jay Lethal, how some of the ROH fans were unsatisfied with the ending, and how he felt about it. We cover CM Punk and Marty's perspective on his journey to the UFC, with his debut coming up very soon, at UFC 203 in September. We cover Marty's thought on the WWE Draft, how the shows have turned out so far, and NXT draft picks and call ups like Mojo Rawley, Nia Jax, and Baron Corbin coming ahead of perennial favorites like Samoa Joe, Namamura, and Bayley. Other topics include Kevin Owens and his WWE tenure so far, the Roman Reigns and Rusev feud, AJ Styles, John Cena and his place amongst the greatest wrestlers of all time, Nakamura's incredible debut and his NXT career since, the recent Conor McGregor vs. WWE wrestlers controversy, Brock Lesnar and USADA/UFC, Matt and Jeff Hardy and the "Final Deletion," Lucha Underground, Juggalos and "The Gathering," The future of The Young Bucks, Hulk Hogan and WWE, Finn Balor and how his character has been treated since he was drafted, and of course the big question: WHO is a bigger Guns N' Roses fan, Kevin Owens or Cliff Compton?!You can check out Marty's podcasts, "Wrestling With Depression," and "Marty & Sarah Love Wrestling," on iTunes, and for those of you in the Chicago area, Marty will be hosting a "Summerslam Party" the night of the PPV, at The Anthem bar in Chi-Town.Please subscribe, rate, and review "Creative Control" on both iTunes and Stitcher, and check out the Creative Control t shirt store at prowrestlingtees.com/ccwithjoefeeney
Comedian, wrestling aficionado, and millionaire Dr. Marty DeRosa joins me for today's episode of Jam Slamditch. We talk about our teen years spent at the Fireside Bowl and I sound like I drank a bunch of dairy. If you've been listening to the show regularly then you know that it gets pretty horned up from time to time, but today is special because no one has ever been hornier than Marty! As if his raw untamed libido was somehow not enough for you, that Mr. Man planned ahead and had me on his show Wrestling With Depression, which is also now available for your listening pleasure. Two heavies in a day. Think you can hang with the bad boys? Cause we play hard. With that said, I beg of you to please, dear god, come hard.
