This particular story touched me deeply, I am a former zombie girl turned to salt of the earth. I continue to share stories like these in order to revive all the other zombie girls out there. This short story is actually a chapter from Louise Erdrich's novel Love Medicine about the lives of two families on a North Dakota Reservation.

This is a short story written by Tillie Olsen in 1961. Its a story of a phone call from her teen daughter's school and all that it brings up for her. I actually got emotional towards the end of reading this story.
